R.I.P. Video #62: Shizz Dollah
Completed on November 15, 2018 (Louisiana time), in honor of DJ B-Real's birthday.
Broadcasting from tha Council Cup Scenic Overlook, here in Wapwallopen, PA, it's ya boy, FrankieThaLuckyDog, here, sadly reportin' anotha tragic loss in tha Louisiana rap community.
Jonathen Bates, known by his stage name, Shizz Dollah (formerly Yung $hizz or $hizz), passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018, of a heart attack; he was only 27 years-old. Bates was just a teen when he was 1st featured on Baton Rouge rapper, Big Blaze's 2008 song, "Got It Made". Bates and his bro, Doe (or, Jon Doe, D.O.E., or Doe_XO), started releasing music under tha label, True Greed Entertainment. They released their collection of 2009 tracks on their 2010 release, Effect Vol. 2: Welcome To O.A.K.L.A.N.D.. In 2011, Bates signed with Baton Rouge rapper, Foxx's Milliyone Musik & released his first solo mixtape, The Chosen One, Vol. 1, in 2011. In 2012, Foxx presented Bates' A.D.I.D.A.S. release. In 2013, Bates released P.O.L.O. Vol. 1 (Players Only Live Once), as well as N.I.K.E. Vol. 1 (Nigga I Kill Everything). In 2015, Bates put out his This What I Would've Did 2 Yo Shit mixtape. In 2017, Bates collaborated with Baton Rouge producer/rapper, DJ B-Real & released Look What You Made Me Do, Vol. 1, on B-Real's Pay The Producer Production & Bates' Blocc Society Entertainment. In 2018, his final release, Look What You Made Me Do, Vol. 2, was released on B-Real's Pay The Producer Production. Just one day before his untimely death, on October 25, 2018, Bates was featured on Baton Rouge photog-editor, Johnnie Domino's Baton Rouge Battle Rap league, BR2, in which he battled AMG Case. Bates won tha battle, 3-0. Bates celebrated his 27th birthday, earlier on September 28.

Review #1,784: Shizz Dollah "Look What You Made Me Do, Vol. 2 (Deluxe Edition)"
Reviewed on 11.09.2018 (Review #1,784)
Got
anotha review I finna do. Too bad this artist just passed away, tha day I lost
my computer job at my job (two weeks ago), on October 26: Shizz Dollah Look What You Made
Me Do, Vol. 2 (Deluxe Edition), courtesy of DJ B-Real’s Pay The
Producer Production! Purhcased it a month before Shizz passed away, but neva
reviewed it ‘cause of tha pain I was goin’ through wit my music video wit A1,
as well as losing my commercials opportunity with my job. Either way, at least B-Real’ll
appreciate this one… Start Time: 7:27
AM | End Time: 7:58 AM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything
after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening
to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your
vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’
topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

“Intro: 48 Bars Of Power”
Let’s
hear it! >>> Nice B-Real beat, even tho it turns into a lil’ bit of a
typical, mainstream sound, for tha south… Either way, definitely nice wit tha
consistent rhymes, Shizz! “Take no dayz off;” that’s what I did when I worked
44 dayz in a row! Then, I finally got Doe-Doe to come to PA & now, my job wants me to take my dayz off, smh! They
trippin’ wit they money!! Neva heard me brag!!
But yeah, also, it’s sad that now, you’ll “be chillin’ wit Shawty Lo.”
Regardless, all these consistent rhymes are definitely nice, regardless of tha
mainstream-soundin’ beat! My Rating: 4.5
02.
“I Feel The Same Way” w/Da Real Gee Money
Whoo,
whoot!! Produced by Neil On Da Track & DJ B-Real!! Definitely felt it when
B-Real sent me it, once he reconnected wit me, last October! Definitely a
jammin’ beat, hook & what you got goin’ on, here! I’ono, but this, like, my
“Welcome Back, B-Real” anthem or somethin’, knowin’ that B-Real’s 100%
official, again! Also, Gee doin’ tha damn thang on tha 1st verse wit
his continuous vibe! I like this betta than tha whole G-Code 2, thanx to its vibe and all dat! Also, you doin’ a nice job
on tha 2nd verse, Shizz! Consistency at its finest; gotta luv it! My Current Rating: 4.7
03.
“I’m Outside” feat. WNC Whop Bezzy
Still
feels funny that I barely know WNCWB but I met him on my 29th birthday,
at tha Bella Noche, courtesy of Funky Fingaz! >>> Sounds like an
anticipatin’ beginning; definitely diggin’ this start! Sounds like a nice 1st
verse, too; Baton Rouge G-shit at its finest!! Bezzy almost sounds like Spitta,
in a way… Luv how those beats slam; that’s what Gee Money’s CD needed, when I
just reviewed it! Crazy-soundin’ hook, too; definitely official! Great job on
tha 2nd verse, Shizz, strictly doin’ tha damn thang! Yeah, like
“Yung Joc” & that “Nitti beat;” so ’06! My Rating: 4.6
04.
“One In The Head”
>>> Already not likin’ tha voice effect in tha beginning, here. This sounds like tha shit I was dislikin’ when you were doin’ tha Foxx A.D.I.D.A.S. shit. I’ono, beat’s kinda dry/not really poppin’ & I can’t really fuck wit this auto-tuned shit… A more-normal voice on tha 2nd verse, here, but tha 1st ½ of tha song already threw me off… Sounds betta but it also sounds like random ya-ya-yada ta me… My Rating: 2.7

05.
“Make Time For You”
>>> Beginning sounds like some catchy B-Real shit… I’ono about tha hook, yet; kinda catchy but nothin’ I’d go crazy about… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like an okay track. Literally, you sound like you tryna sound like B-Real, a lil’… Sounds okay on tha 2nd verse, here; relationship-type shit… Glad I neva got to witness a bad relationship, yet. I’ll just continue watchin’ err-body struggle wit they relationships & focus on my career, before I chase a “randomlationship!” Either way, ehh… My Rating: 3.3

½time: Tha 1st three
jointz were definitely hot but #4 & 5 were not really for me… Overall,
we’re at a 4.0
rating, so far; definitely nice, regardless… Let’s see how we continue dis
bitch…
06.
“Long Time”
>>> Hardbody doin’ this beat… Sounds like good rhymes, even tho when it’s rapped fast, it sounds random, at times. I like tha “weed” part, in tha hook: “I like tha strong kind;” of course! Nothin’ but dat Cali shit, as well as dat Moonrock shit (weed, kief, wax & hash!!)! B-Real, one more week!! Overall, this a decent two-verse track; can’t complain too much… My Rating: 3.7

07.
“Separate Ways”
What’s
with tha “Saperate”? >>> Doe
on tha beat; not really anticipatin’ this, despite it bein’ a $hizz & Doe
collab… Sounds like somethin’ that would be catchy for tha mainstream, on tha
singing-soundin’ hook. Then again, tha mainstream ain’t me! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it decent… Speakin’
of, “She text my phone,” on June 25, 2017, G.O.C. Flag St.
& them tried hittin’ you up while I was interviewin’ them. You weren’t
around but that was a great day, regardless. Anotha track fa tha ladies, here… My Rating: 3.0
08.
“It’s Gone Get Better For Me”
>>> Sounds like a depressing vibe? Kinda likin’ this quiet-soundin’ beat wit your story goin’ on… Not tha craziest but, it’s crazy how you said, “Only fear iz me dyin’, in my prime…” Who woulda thought you’d have a fatal heart attack at 28? I see you mentioned “Flag,” on tha 1st verse. Yeah, free G.O.C.! Glad you produced his undaground hit song from last year, “One Mo Time”! As far as tha rest of this, it aight; it iz what it iz… My Rating: 3.5

“Blue Lines” feat. Tokyo
Yens
>>>
A betta beat vibe, here… Sounds like a good hook wit these “blue lines.” Glad
you always askin’, “Where da weed at?” Definitely what’s up! Hope you shmokin’
good up in Heaven! Catchy rhymes, non-stop, wit these “Legos” & all that! Neva heard this female on tha 2nd verse, here;
not really feelin’ her “money” shit… My
Rating: 3.2
10.
“No Handouts”
Not
“Hand Outs”, lol. >>> Decent beat; decent hook, here… Hearin’ tha 1st
verse and it ain’t bad… Some interestin’ sounds comin’ outta tha beat, outta
nowhere, like they artifacts; official…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and
tha rhymes are consistent, here… Not likin’ when tha beat fades out into a
distortion. That effect sounds too much like tha mainstream shit, these dayz…
You did a great job wit tha consistent rhymes, here, but some thangz on this
track, such as tha beat and mainstream vibe, made me prevent this from gettin’
at least a 4.0 from me… My Rating: 3.8
Overall: Thought it was gon be
betta than Gee Money but only tha 1st three tracks were. Tha rest
were either decent or they weren’t really for me… Either way, definitely built
some sorta hype fa me, in tha beginning… R.I.P. Shizz Dollah;

And,
as a bonus, I neva got ta check out these three tracks off Look What You Made Me Do, Vol. 1, so I finna review ‘em now (neva
had tha Deluxe Edition):
“GYST
(Get Yo Shit Together)”
>>> This sounds real catchy, between tha beat and tha repetitiveness on tha hook! See, Shizz, you may’ve not’ve liked when I ain’t like your Foxx-released A.D.I.D.A.S., in 2012, due to a-tune. However, you got much betta since! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty dope. Random fastness throughout tha 1st verse; kinda diggin’ it… Good shit on tha 2nd verse, too; definitely a plus! Pureness at its finest! Kinda wanted this vibe fa Gee Money’s G-Code 2 but it’s in your hands! My Rating: 4.5

“I
Got Me”
>>>
B-Real doin’ this beat… See, no matter tha effect on tha hook, this sounds way
betta than what I thought of tha A.D.I.D.A.S.
dayz! Good catchiness, once again, during tha hook, fa this slowie… Hearin’ tha
1st verse and it sounds good, too. Sometimes, a lil’ decent but
betta than tha average, of course… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and, how
ironic, you mentioned “Wissel,” here, just like I did, earlier in tha beginning
of tha review. “I be high as a bird when I drop shit;” you already know, $hizz!
Good shit, even with tha voice effect, at times…! My Rating: 3.9
“Don’t
Play Around” w/Bo Champ
>>>
Sounds good wit a dry, decent beat; good hook… Hearin’ this Champ on tha 1st
verse and, “Shit yeah,” iz right? Will it be? Kinda sounds betta than nothin’,
here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s you, $hizz, comin’ through wit
some consistent rhymes, at times; good shit… Sometimes, tha voice effects
irritate me, like a rash, but it’s—ehh, a 50 Cent “Window Shopper” reference,
lol? How random/seems so outdated…! Mainly, this just focused on rappin’ wit
not much catchiness, overall… My Rating:
3.6
Review #1,783: Da Real Gee Money "G-Code 2"
Reviewed on 11.09.2018 (Review #1,783)
Been
meanin’ to get to this review a lil’ while ago. However, I been depressed about
one of my tracks not gettin’ its music video done, in September. Also, during
October, tha job I was doin’ tha track for changed on me, so I been a mess,
ever since… Now, luckily, I found some sorta motivation to get to this, so
lemme get to it: Da Real Gee Money G-Code 2, courtesy of TBG Records.
Gotta give big ups to DJ B-Real for reconnectin’ wit me, last year, as well as
meetin’ him two months ago! He produced most of this production on here, so
shout out ta him! Had to purchase tha CD fa him; “Pay The Producer!” Start Time: 5:43 AM | End Time: 6:24 AM

01.
Intro: Life Of A Gee
>>>
Sounds like a good piano in tha beginning. Sounds good wit tha intro, between
tha news story & you in tha interview, here. Thought there’d be rappin’ but
just a good, semi-mumbled intro… My
Rating: N/A
02.
“Bloody Shoes”
>>>
Didn’t really go for tha Cardi B imitation, in tha beginning… Hardbody showin’
luv ta dis production, here, as you’re spittin’ some good shit on tha 1st
verse… Sounds good but, I’ono, during tha beginning of tha 2nd
verse, tha faster rappin’ that err-body do gotta go. I’ono why err-body thank
that ‘talent.’ Hearin’ tha hook betta than tha intro, now & I kinda thank
it’s a lil’ catchy. Kinda ehh for err-body to do they own versions of tha Kodak
Black track but it serves its purpose, I guess? My Rating: 4.0
03.
“Bouncin’”
>>> Mo Hardbodyness comin’ through, here… Sounds pretty nice wit this energetic vibe, on tha hook; definitely nice! If you continued ta live a lil’ longer, this prolly woulda been one of tha great Baton Rouge anthems of this time (tha fun times). Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds like you spittin’ that hot shit that I used to love-love from BR…; good shit! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, too; good shit, once again! My Rating: 4.4

“Gee Pac”
>>>
I rather you do this kinda shit than tha Cardi B shit. Anotha nice beat
(Hardbody? Didn’t realize he did most of tha production, instead of B-Real…)
and bein’ that ambitious writer!
Good, consistent shit goin’ on in tha 1st verse, here. I can
tolerate this type of fast flow, so I’ll give you tha props. Hook sounds good;
good but not obsessive feelings comin’ from me, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha
2nd verse, here & it sounds good, too; can’t complain… And, a
long outro at tha end, here… My Rating: 4.2
05.
“The Recipe”
>>> Hardbody on tha beat, again. I’ono, this sounds a lil’ boring with tha production and plain, like most mainstream, southern shit of today. I do like how you deliverin’ this “recipe,” on tha hook. Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds good; can’t complain, once again. Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, consistently deliverin’ it… My Rating: 4.1

“Dreams To Reality”
That’s
how I describe my Louisiana
connection, as my “dreams” turned into a “reality,” when I finally touched
down! >>> Mo wit Mr. Body, here… Was that a tag for B-Real & Q-Red?
“Ask about B-Real & Q-Red…;” three-way production? Decent/quiet beat, tho,
but it ain’t too bad wit tha 1st verse… Sounds like some good sounds
in tha background, on tha hook, but tha beat’s mainly on a quiet tip… Either
way, sounds a lil’ betta wit tha hook, here, but nothin’ too exciting, at
times… Even throwin’ a lil’ Biggie, “If you don’t know, now, you know,” toward
tha end of tha 2nd verse… My
Rating: 3.8
½time: Sounds like a good CD,
here. I know I liked tha 1st G-Code
betta but this still nice, of course, wit a 4.1-rated CD!
07.
“Industry”
Right
before you died… B-Real doin’ this one and gotta luv that you, “Fulla tabs,
while ridin’ round;” good start to tha 1st verse… Wit this one, I
like how you flowin’ on this one, especially wit tha ending words on parts of
tha 1st verse (“trippin’,” you know, holdin’ tha notes, randomly).
Good consistency on tha 1st verse, of course. Sounds good wit tha
hook, especially “Industry” vs. “in da streetz;” same syllables! Good shit on
tha 2nd verse, too, but no held notes… Sounds a lil’ more mastered
than what we were used to, right before you died (YouTube video). Either way, a
good lil’ one before you passed… My
Current Rating: 4.3
08.
“Kick The Door Down” feat. DJ B-Real, Fredo Bang & Cleezy5
Smh
@ tha “Clezzy5”; we “ee”! B-Real on
tha feature, this time! >>> Comin’ through wit B-Real on tha beat;
wanna feel excited fa dis…!! Yeah, this has more of a spiced-kick than tha rest
of what I heard on this CD, so far! Tha beat sounds nice; prolly coulda had a
lil’ mo energy in tha kicks or somethin’ but I’m diggin’ it! Good shit on tha
hook, B-Real; you got dis! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, Gee &
it sounds like your good, Gee shit; glad you “rollin’ on dem jiggaz!” Got Fredo
on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit dat “G-TBG shit”
(“G-Shit” + TBG shit)! Good shit; came quick & paid its purpose! Now, Cleez
on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit mo of dat G-TBG shit! I
like at 2:58, it sounds like you can hear some of that hidden energy that
shoulda had some tight kicks in it…! My
Rating: 4.5
09.
“Right Nah” feat. Fredo Bang & Ree-Up
>>>
Got Q-Red runnin’ dis bitch, “right” chea… Much mo mainstream wit tha soundin’
than what I’m used to, from him… Hook ehh; sounds like every other mainstream
rapper… Damn, 1:03 till it got to tha 1st verse? Either way, here
you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some catchiness.
Needless ta say, I’m not gonna jump for joy wit this one… Just can’t fuck wit
all tha “money” shit; you know how dat go! No
one got tha work ethic I have!!
You have a good lineup on tha feature list, tho; good 2nd verse, I
guess…? My Rating: 3.2
10.
“Fuck With You” feat. Blvd. Bubba & Blvd. Quick
>>>
Got B-Real & Austin On Tha Track doin’ this production, here. I do like tha
production betta than tha Q-Red one from tha last track. Wit tha voice effects
& shit on tha hook, I’ono; not a 100 from me, so we’ll see how it goes…
Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse & it sounds like a good verse;
nothin’ much ta say… Got tha 2nd verse, here & it ain’t bad;
good collab, between tha two Blvderz…! We got a 3rd verse, too; good
job, y’all. My Rating: 3.7
11.
“Painful”
>>> Tha beat intro gives me almost a hint of a Nu$$ie track or somethin’… Since it’s BW (I’ll leave it at initials), I’ll just stop commentin’ on tha beat, since a $20 bill’s a rough path! It’s a sad day when I get written up on BW’s birthday, two weeks ago! It’s almost like I take tha loss fa err-body!! Either way, decent lil’ 1st verse from you, here. Hearin’ tha hook and yeah, it’s true: “Friends turn to strangers.” Now that err-thang about money, these dayz, I can see how fake err-body iz & how I handle myself. Even down to tha people where I live at. Like, they trip about err-thang!! They can’t afford nothin’!! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it ain’t bad, neither. Crazy about tha “kill” parts ‘cause sadly, it came true. My Rating: 3.9

“Put That Pride To The Side”
>>> Got B-Real on this track; almost feels like a late ‘90s vibe, here… Not too bad fa a lil’ slow track… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad fa these bitches… Just talkin’ on tha hook, here. Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s just regular-soundin’ rhymes, with a good lil’ hood story from Gee. True dat about tha “money” and how they “change” and shit. No matter what I turn into, I make sure I evolve & don’t change! No such thang as “friends,” sometimes, especially up here in PA! My Rating: 3.6

“They Switching”
>>> Q-Red beat; good sound, here… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds like anotha Gee hood story. Crazy that you ain’t “have no shoes.” Thank of how you became a successful, undaground being; great how it turns out! Tha hook sounds good; anotha tale of how people switch on ya! No matter what B-Real & I mighta went through in tha past, I want us to evolve! I wanna celebrate my success wit him & Doe-Doe! That’s how I look at it! My Rating: 3.8

Overall: Most of it sounds good,
on tha regular. I just thank that it didn’t have much excitement, wit some
parts. Either way, great lil’ last of Gee Money.
