Wat it do, Savage? This ya boy FrankieThaLuckyDog here. 'Bout to do my 4th eva review for one of your mixtapes after I had a yucky virus that fucked my labtop over. Good thing this came at tha right time 'cause my labtop iz back in review/music action! This iz you and Max Minelli's mixtape, "The Equation." Now Savage, listen, I've been DYING to hear it!!! I thought you was gonna send me a copy of it, but I don't know if I was able to tell you that. Either way, I'm glad it's on Datpiff now, and this review should help. After that disappointing, anticipated review I did earlier today (for Promo Only Dance Radio December 2008), yours should DEFINITELY define that hotness, especially since it's wit Max. I really like tha title of tha mixtape, as well as tha background of tha front/back cover (wit all tha brown and "tha equations," lol). Let me not waste any time and get into my review for Savage & Max Minelli "The Equation"! I'm expectin' to have a REAL GOOD time hearin'/reviewin' this, so, let's make it happen! Also, I'm gonna say this on every review I do for a while: FOR ANYONE READIN' THIS: Go check out my brand new music video, "Change Tha World," featuring Tha Wennipearl (my cousin Jen; happy birthday to her today)!! It's a great song (written and produced by me) and a REAL GREAT music video (directed and 100% edited by me)! | Start Time: 9:59 PM | Video Game Playing: The Legend Of Zelda – Ocarina Of Time (for Nintendo 64) (on my computer)
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

01. "I'm A Reject" Feat. J-Von
Good, a feature already, and it's that boy J-Von. I'm glad y'all are all in this bitch right now, ya dig. Let's see how GREAT this mixtape gon start! Shit, I'm so excited to review this right now!! >>> Sounds like it gon be an anticipation intro wit Max on it… Of course, Max soundin' GREAT on tha 1st verse here. I'm glad he's "got a closet fulla J's." Definitely a great verse from him, and that hook iz pretty catchy. I like tha whole, "I'm a reject/my brain got a defect," shit. Ooh, you're on tha 2nd verse Sav… I'm glad "you're in tha laboratory" Sav. Good thing you "don't count sheep" and instead, "count 100's" in your sleep; that's watz good. Real nice verse from you Sav on tha 2nd verse, and I liked that sound effect that closed tha 2nd verse out. Let's see how J-Von gon mix wit this… Glad he's "tryna slang somethin' outside tha sto'." Pretty nice verse from him, but you and Max held it down a lil' better on this. Cold ending, huh? I like when your tracks have fade-out endings, but it's still nice to hear. I like that I heard that classic sayin' of yours, "Savage on tha beat!," at tha end (to introduce tha next joint)! My Rating: 4.5
02. "I'm A Beast"
Back 2 back wit tha "I'm A ___" titles; that's watz good. Ooh, playin' as a "rare song" (meanin' it's an old song that comes on once a month) on Music Choice Electronica right now iz some tight Drum N Bass music (it's Dieselboy & Kaos "Submission" from 2003). Just hearin' that beat gets me in a more better mood to hear this mixtape and what's next! High anticipation level on how you and Max "are beasts!" >>> Yeah, you do "look like a million dollar nigga." Grimey beat start, which means a REAL GOOD thing! I like all those parts that rhyme wit "antidote" and "cantelope." Speaking of "cantelope," I don't know why, but I'm alergic to it, as I have a sudden flem attack fast (even though it taste real good). I'm not alergic to watermelon though. REAL GREAT 1st verse, as I loved it. That hook iz definitely on tha tight shit! Let's hear how Max goin' do on tha 2nd verse… Yeah, for those that want to pop them jiggaz, "go pop 10 of Max." I like how he said, "bitch, I'm tha remedy; go and pop 10 of me." Pretty nice verse from Max on tha 2nd verse. Hearin' tha hook again, and it's just too tight! Now, it's tha 3rd verse… Yeah Sav, "no DJ Khaled promo;" fuck a promo from that screamer, lol! Pretty nice 3rd verse also. I do agree that, "tha flow iz worth a brick." Actually, I think it's worth more than that due to for a flow of yours, it's real tight, especially wit you producin' tha track! My Rating: 4.4
03. Drause Killa (Skit)
Ooh, a skit! And look how early it iz in tha mixtape! Definitely anticipating on hearin' tha skit you got on here!! >>> For a sec, I thought tha name of tha skit had to do wit somethin', but no, it's that dude's name. I definitely agree wit tha skit as those weak-ass dudes have tha "cottonmouth" flow (wit "no lyrics"), and nobody should do wrong to you, Sav; good skit. My Rating: N/A
04. "Ape Shit" Feat. Level
*Derty (Baton Rouge rapper)'s voice* UH OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Anything wit a "retarded" (dumb way) title like that DEFINITELY gets my anticipation! I wanna hear how INSANE this iz! I know it has been on your Myspace for a minute, but I like to wait for tha mixtape review to hear them first! Very high anticipation level here!! >>> I pictured it to be an intro wit just tha beat, but no, Max doin' some tight chantin'. GREAT "retarded" hook, especially just hearin' how it says, "I'm goin' 'ape shit'." Max doin' that 1st verse… Pretty nice verse, and no one, I MEAN no one, should fuck wit Max tha wrong way! Crazy hook once again!! Ooh, Level on tha 2nd verse… Startin' wit "gorilla-ass niggaz" iz tha right way to start a verse on a joint like this, ya dig. Yeah, he does sound like he "spittin' that lava" right now. Yeah, those "pussy niggaz softer than vaginas;" that's true to those unreal people. Level DEFINITELY proved that he went retarded on this shit!! Great shit, and I thought he had a better verse than Max. Sav, where will I rank you on these verses? Startin' off tha verse pretty energetic here… Yeah, "all y'alls do iz go bananas;" good shit. You DEFINITELY went off on this shit; definitely feelin' it. I tie your part wit Level's; too close for me to decide right now. Tha beat was just fadin', so that was good how it ended. My Rating: 4.7
05. Young Ready Live From The Pen
Ooh, Ready on tha check-in from jail! I wonder how he was doin' at tha time this interlude was recorded? I'm SOOOO glad I got to send him 2 letters (along wit 2 reviews) and have him respond back to me once; that's a blessing to me and it'll be one of tha greatest music business moments in my history. Time to hear him… Hopefully, it's at least 40 seconds, but I predict it only be like 14 seconds long… >>> Ewe, it's ½ of what I wanted, and a lil' more of what I predicted: 20 seconds. Yes, DEFINITELY a great check-in that was DESERVED on this mixtape! My Rating: N/A
06. "Ride Out" Feat. Young Ready & Lil' Cali
I see Young Ready on this (I knew it)!! Speaking of which, was this tha joint y'all were recording when I called you? 'Cause Young Ready was in tha studio wit you when I called on tha night of November 6, 2008 (wow, that was a month ago already; shit). I got to talk to him for 2 minutes and it was cool. I'm SO FUCKIN' glad he's outta jail so he can rap on all these mixtapes wit all these different artists!! Let's hear how this "fresh outta jail" verse from Young Ready sounds along wit you, Max, and Lil' Cali!! *Predicts tha length iz 4:54* >>> AH, LOL! I was 2 seconds off, as it's 4:52. Likin' tha "hoe, I get straight to tha point" beginning. Ooh, it's Young Ready! I thought this was gonna be a lil' faster, but still TIGHT vibe; it's nice and smooth! Great start so far wit tha intro, hook, and verse from Young Ready! Great "skeetin'" moments used for tha 1st verse! DEFINITELY felt his verse right there and I'm FUCKIN' GLAD he on tha hook! DEFINITELY made a REAL NICE Baton Rougeish hook (as always) wit that TIGHT beat! Let's hear tha lil' one on tha 2nd verse… Pretty nice shit; y'all some "1st nighters" when it comes to gettin' dat sex! That's watz good right there. Supa Sav, you're on tha 3rd verse here… Glad you got tha "supa dome" you got. You had a nice verse right there Sav. I guess this was Minelliless, since he wasn't on this. It still turned out to be a NICE collabo! Nice talkin' at tha ending also. My Rating: 4.6
EDIT: This prolly wasn't tha joint when I called you and Ready 'cause this mixtape came out dayz before that.
07. "Blowin' Money" Feat. Lil' Wayne
Before I look at tha title, let's see how lucky this No. 7 joint gon be… *checks ID* Uh oh, Lil' Wayne on tha feature… Betta not be an oldie… Then again, it can't be 'cause he's tha only one on tha feature… *continues to check ID* Okay, that title made me feel better now. Just lookin' at it, I can't picture what song he said tha title in right now, but I know for you and Max, this gon be a banger!! High anticipation on this one!! >>> Okay, that's tha sample I was right about. I remember him say, "me and Yo Gotti scored 2 points…" but I still can't rememba tha joint. Pretty nice 1st verse from you Sav. This has a pretty nice, smooth vibe to it. You didn't have enough on that 1st verse that you had to be on tha 2nd one too, consecutively. Not bad on tha 2nd verse, and that hook iz definitely for tha dudes; who can't like that hook? Good, 'Nelli on tha 3rd verse! He did a pretty nice job. I thought this was gonna be more faster for tha clubs, but still turned out to be pretty nice fa me. My Rating: 4.0
EDIT: Neva mind, I had tha wrong quote when I said "me and…;" I still don't know tha sample.
08. Buss Out (Skit)
Ooh, look what happened when y'all were "blowin' money" and "ridin' out" wit tha crew. It's now time to "buss out" I guess. Let's see tha action goin' on here… >>> You even added a very slow beat to this skit. I guess I was wrong about tha definition (I thought this was gonna be about y'all "bussin' out" on tha bitches; especially wit tha slow beat in tha background), but yeah, for those that ain't got shit, they do need to "buss out." My Rating: N/A
½time: Well, as always, you puttin' out that FIYA for tha streets, ya heard me! Everything you pretty much touch iz just PURE Louisiana FIRE!!! I'm gonna give you a call right now and update you on how this iz comin' along, just so you know it's ready for you to show tha streetz and all tha peeps out there in Louisiana! *calls* >>> Oh wow, I got through; GREAT SHIT!!! I'm glad this iz already 4 pages long, and I'm gonna try to get it to another 4-5! But then again, after your call, I must call my rappin' grandma. *calls* >>> We had a nice conversation, and it (hopefully) looks like we gon be FINALLY goin' to go to Long Island for break on December 13th. I can't wait 'til this semester iz over on tha 12th! Now, time to get back into this HOT CD, while it's HOT in my room (due to it's only 21 degrees out now).
09. "Keep It Real" Feat. C-Loc
Damn, what a long ½time break (prolly my longest). But look at this, C-Loc startin' off tha features for tha 2nd ½!! This should be REAL TIGHT, and of course, this will DEFINITELY "keep it real" on tha way it sounds; high anticipation level!! >>> Good to hear him start this shit off. I did a WHOPPIN' 4 reviews for him back this September and according to B-Raw, he really liked 'em. Great intro/hook from him and looks like Max startin' tha 1st verse off… Sounds nice. I like tha "back 2 back" part where it was fast and it kept repeatin'. Glad he's got "his hand on his heart and tha otha one on tha bible;" nice verse. I thought Loc was gonna be on tha 2nd one, but nope, it's you, Sav. You DEFINITELY kept it "110" on this verse right here, Sav. All yo verses are tight, as you just neva bore me wit yo shit. And speakin' of neva boring, here's C-Loc on tha 3rd verse… Definitely was nice, just like your verse, Sav. My Rating: 4.4
10. "Dedication"
I thought there was gonna be more in tha title, but no, it's just titled "Dedication." I hope it ain't too slow for me. Maybe this'll be somethin' outta left field? I don't know… You and Max are gonna have to prove it now! >>> Okay, good thing there's a Baton Rouge type of beat start, and not a boring-ass slow, depressin' beat. Now, I see interested in this, especially since this "iz dedicated to all your real niggaz." Nice lil' start wit tha 1st verse, Sav. I'm glad you dedicating this to all different types of ya boyz out there; that's watz good, as tha hook sounds good. Hearin' tha 2nd verse now, and it sounds great too. Let's hear what Max got to say on tha 3rd verse… Glad he's "chasin' after a blessin'." Good thing he was also "listenin' to God" 'cause God always gives me these blessings when I be prayin' for my Louisiana connection to keep growin'. Anotha quote: "everyday, we face real hate." I agree wit that. Good shit from Max on that 3rd verse. My Rating: 4.1
11. "Ain't Fuckin' Wit Me"
That's right, and it's not just you, it's Max also! Glad to keep this Louisiana shit goin' wit these reviews! Why would I review any otha state? I will just have a high chance of bein' disappointed! >>> Nice up-tempo start… Not bad on tha verse; I liked it. Ooh, tha hook sounds a lil' like Mouse, and it sounds great on your behalf. Ooh, you're on tha 2nd verse too (instead of alternating wit Max right away)! Nice 2nd verse also. Let's hear Mr. Pain Medicine on tha 3rd verse… Yeah, "you eat, or you gon get ate;" nice line right there. Pretty nice verse from him, but it's all about that hook! This was a nice lil' jam here. My Rating: 4.3
12. "Get Loose Wit It" Feat. Big Scoob
Uh oh, an ID error? LOL… Shouldn't that say Big Scoob on tha back cover and not Big Scoop? That must be a record that it took 12 songs for an ID error on a Viper back cover, lol. Anyway, this should be some nice shit to listen to; lemme peep… >>> Looks like I'll be interested in this shit a lot, especially wit that intro beat! Wow, tha hook definitely iz on some tight shit!! Big Scoob had a REAL nice vibe to his verse on tha 1st verse; tight shit! Here you come on tha 2nd verse… Definitely addin' lyrics to go wit tha title. LOL @ "makin' up your own dances, makin' them look bizarre." I'm glad you don't make "do tha ____" (dance) type of music; tha shit you make iz just REAL GREAT to hear! Let's hear how Max "has a good time" as he starts off tha 3rd verse… Yeah, definitely some nice shit to go wit this joint right chea. Glad y'all "celebratin'" right now off this shit. My Rating: 4.5
^ I did a MySpace check to see if I had tha right correction, and I did. Oh, whoops. It says it's Big Scoob also on tha mp3 file, lol.
13. "Blame The Drank" Feat. Cage Of Down Bad
Ooh, teamin' up wit a Down Bad member!! That's watz good! I'm real glad I'm becomin' real cool wit J-Dirty now. My life just seems to have nothin' but greatness when it comes to tha music business, ya heard me! I want all Louisiana people to just keep hittin' me up for shit. Now, let's see how much y'all gon "blame tha drank" on this one! >>> Ooh, 4:33 on tha length! Tha "you hear tha way we rip tha Savage track to pieces" in tha beginning again! Hearin' tha Savage sound effects in tha beginning! Ooh, just to go wit this joint: Music Choice Electronica iz playin' a mix CD right now from Tom Stephan a.k.a. Superchumbo called "Asseteria." It's full of all ass type of Dance music, and about 22 minutes into tha CD, there's this HOT woman that's like "kiss my…ass! Kiss my black ass! Kiss my…ass! KISS MY BLACK ASS!!" Now, you know we gon get our club vibe on right now! Great beat intro and interesting hook; likin' this consistantness! Max iz soundin' pretty good on this 1st verse right here. "Happy birthday Sav; sike." LOL @ how I thought tha same when you said that. Yeah, you "might need an ambulance" for this shit 'cause it's just nuts! I LOVE tha Baton Rouge sound in this shit and I'm REAL anticipated to hear Cage… Anticipation pays off this time; he sounds great on this shit. He did his thang on that verse and made this joint sound consistent! My Rating: 4.5
14. "Whiplash (Remix)" Feat. Lil' Cali
Ooh, cool title. Let's see what type of shit this on, especially wit Lil' Cali on it! >>> A lil' vocal imitation in tha beginning of tha hook? Might've sounded like Down Bad in "Jiggin' Nah" on tha hook or some other Louisiana shit. I liked tha hook a lot on this for a start, and that beat just doesn't disappoint! Max havin' a nice lil' vibe on tha 1st verse here. All those "*insert type of person* straight" parts (tha way it was rapped) sounded so Baton Rougeish, and I really like how Baton Rouge people sound when they have they style; great verse. Ooh, Lil' Cali havin' a pretty nice start to tha 2nd verse! I like tha "chase me down like a 100 meter race." Tha "Top 8" part didn't bother me (usually, it would) 'cause it was rapped in a great way. Let's hear how you gon sound on tha final verse… Yeah, "keep tha magnums." I passed out from a presentation 2 dayz ago on promiscuous sex effects/diseases. Due to bein' hungry, tha images (body parts, mainly vaginas, wit diseases) made me think too much at one point, and I just saw all yellow in my vision. I also lost my color, as I was white as a ghost. Plus, I sucked on a lollipop for tha first time (LOL) to gain my sugar level back. But yeah, you had yourself anotha nice verse, Sav. My Rating: 4.4
15. Crabs (Skit)
I think when I read a response on tha Word Of South forum, that there iz a "crabs" type of song comin' up. I guess it's right after this skit. Let's hear what we got before it comes on… >>> Interesting to get me anticipated. I forgot to mention: You do sound like my boy Big Mike, from my old college, when you talk. That's a good thing 'cause he wasn't a bitch at my old college. My Rating: N/A
16. "Crabs In A Bucket"
That's what tha whole title was (couldn't remember tha other words for a second). This should be interesting, as I really like tha title. High anticipation level on this! >>> Slow start… Interesting lyrics in tha 1st verse. However, this izn't tha type of joint I'd get excited for. At least there's only one of these slow jointz on this mixtape. Let's hear what you gotta say in tha 2nd verse… Good shit said also. Let's hear what Max gotta say on tha 3rd verse… Yeah, you sadly "gotta keep a hater" somewhere, unfortunately. Well, great verse from him too. I can't really say that this iz my type of joint to really like, but I do give y'all credit for tha great lyrics, tha story behind it, and tha verses. Don't get offended by tha rating, as it's mine, and it's not that bad. I didn't even say "I didn't like it" either. My Rating: 3.7
17. ""The Equation" Outro"
Oh, for a second, I was hoping it was gonna be tha "Act A Donkey" joint, but it ain't. I guess I'm gonna have to separately listen to that when I can. For now, let's see what we got goin' on here wit this outro… >>> Oh, it's a song (4:01 on tha length). Likin' tha lil' beat goin' on in tha beginning here. Let's see how tha both of y'all gon end this… Not bad on tha hook so far… I wanna hear some "equations" on this shit! You're on tha 1st verse? Start this shit off! Glad you were "tryna get ya pounds up." Great rhymes, and yeah, you are, "a legend in tha makin'." Congrats on your 1,900,000+ views on Myspace (and growin'). I hear Max on tha 2nd verse (good, an alteration)… Pretty nice part from Max on tha 2nd verse. Up, I guess that was tha only alternation as there was no 3rd verse. Pretty nice lil' jam here, but for me, it's not like tha other jointz on here wit my ratings. Don't take it personal 'cause I liked this joint, and it's (of course) listenable. My Rating: 3.9
Overall: End Time: 12:29 AM. ANOTHA GREAT MIXTAPE from Supa Sav!! Even though no ratings exceeded 4.7 (like tha 1st two reviews I did for you), there were LOTS of bangerz on here, and now, as of October 2008, I'm gonna start playin' more tracks as singles from these Louisiana CDs/mixtapes I be reviewin'. Thanx to a New Orleans rapper on tha come up, JD Killa, he said to me, "I don't listen to tha radio anymore. Too much T.I., Lil' Wayne, etc." I can agree wit him 100%+ on that right there. All that radio shit be boring as fuck, so now, when I review CDs/mixtapes, and really like 'em, for tha following month(s), I'll be playin' songs I feel will be good in rotation wit me. Looks like you're on your way to havin' a **CERTIFIED CLASSIC** award from me in tha future, Savage. There's a chance that "Mind Gone," from you and Down Bad, might get promoted more, according to J-Dirty (thanx to my Down Bad "The Sickest 2K8" review), so I might re-enter it into rotation during 2009. That'll be a good look and easily get you a **CERTIFIED CLASSIC** award from me 'cause it's already at (I think) 59 spins; 100 spins = an award. Well, thanx 4 uploadin' this HOT mixtape onto Datpiff, keep doin' yo thang, and tell all tha rappers/producers/managers/etc. out there in Louisiana I said, "watz good." If they do mention anything about me, you can give them my numba 'cause I would look forward to talk to any of them at any time.
