Reviewed on 1.17.2011 (Review #803)
Tha next review I have iz for a dude by tha name of Gutta Baby signed wit Masta Mind Entertainment. I’m not sure if this iz from ’09 or ’10 but all tha songs are ’09: my review for his “Time 2 Get Back 2 The Streets Vol. 1”! I was gonna do tha review yesterday but a lot of confusion happened when one of my friends texted me dat I lost my wallet. Then, I got tired to where I took a nap, my cousin came up to visit, and I had to work on mailin’ everyone’s awards… Now, let’s see if I can focus… Start Time: 8:53 AM | End Time: 9:37 AM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “While I Grind” Feat. Lil’ Yung
>>> Startin’ off wit tha hook…; pretty interestin’, especially when tha “grind” part echos. You sound good and I like tha content in this one; nice and consistent! As far as Lil’ Yung on tha 2nd verse, pretty good collaboration. Since this iz a “money” song, it sounds a lil’ typical wit tha content but better when tha “½” and all dat trap shit iz applied. My Rating: 4.4
02. “Roll Up” Feat. Lil’ Yung
>>> Almost didn’t sound like a Rap song in tha beginning beat at first. Tha hook has an aight-range for me when it comes ta likin’. I dunno about tha background vocals but tha quick shit bein’ spit in tha hook as well as tha topic iz on ‘n’ poppin’! Let’s pretend it’s tha ‘90s, here! You sound real good on this shit! Luvin’ tha “sticky” to tha fullest, here, lol! ROFL @ Lil’ Yung wit tha descriptive “weed” shit, lol. Didn’t realize it went that far as far as quality, lol. My Rating: 4.2
03. “Gettin’ Pussy”
Produced by DJ B-Do here; wonder who he iz… >>> Pretty-short song… I like how it sounds wit tha beat soundin’ jammin’. LOL @ all this early-fuckin’ shit; I luv how people die without “pussy”, ROFL… Anotha good job you did here. My Rating: 4.1
04. “If I Die”
>>> Sounds like what I can hear from anyone; typical topic. But, you sound like Lil’ Witness so it sounds pretty anticipatin’, here. Tha hook’s pretty nice, on some real shit. My Rating: 4.0
05. “Get Some Money”
>>> Kinda on a boring level as far as tha topic, as always, but at least it has a real, Southern feel to tha vibe. I’m slowly feelin’ this in a way… My Rating: 4.1
06. “On My Own”
>>> This ain’t too special for me; not really into this hook… Tha rappin’s good, as always… My Rating: 3.7
07. “How Foolish” Feat. Lil’ Yung
>>> This iz worse. Tha otha one I started to feel once your tight rappin’ came but—neva mind, I like tha content, now, lol. Sounds like Lil’ Yung’s startin’ it off this time and it’s soundin’ good/betta than his previous shit. You’re pretty good/not bad on this, too… My Rating: 3.5
08. “Load It, Cock It 2” Feat. G-1
LOL @ tha numbers… >>> Tha beat’s a lil’ slower but much more on tha gangsta tip, here; nice hook. You said, “blood,” as a noun; you have a “blood” background or somethin’? Either way, pretty good shit, here… Ooh, likin’ how G-1 sounds on tha 2nd verse. He sounds like a darker, black dude, lol—in a way where he sounds tougher than others. Definitely a plus ta have him on this shit. My Rating: 4.3
09. “A Promise” Feat. D-Matic Da Beast
LOL, D-Matic came outta nowhere; I should know this… >>> Yea, sounds really familiar. Let’s see if I previously reviewed it… Oh, yea, and it was a long, good review (previously known it as “I Made A Promise To Myself”): Even though his name’s “Lil’ Black” [I was talkin’ ‘bout you], iz he white ‘cause he sounds like Lil’ Boosie (‘cause it reminds me of how A-Mar used ta sound)? Anyway, he might be black ‘cause he said, “nigga,” but yea, good sound so far on tha hook and tha beat!! I didn’t realize it was his song at first; Lil’ Black Da Gutta Baby!! Real nice collaboration right chea; I gotta add him [then again, I think he added me by now, lol]!! Y’all doin’ ya thang on tha hook right chea; real glad this sounds really original on tha beat, too, for tha South/undaground of Louisiana!! D-Matic’s on tha 2nd verse and he really “promisin’” dat he gon hold it down right chea to tha fullest! Glad he a real motivator to tha fullest right chea! He’s on tha 3rd verse and he “scorchin’ like a flamethrower!!” Speakin’ of “flamethrower,” Lil’ Black’s on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse, here, wit dat fiya-ass shit!! Gotta luv how y’all work together on dis joint right chea!! My Current Rating: 4.5
10. “Can U Feel It”
>>> Not really into tha beginning sample but it sounds good wit tha “damn, it feels good ta be a gangsta” shit randomly poppin’ off in tha hook. This iz 4.75 minutes long? Damn, a lil’ long from what I’ve been hearin’ on here? Good content, here, and not bad wit how tha song sounds, overall. My Rating: 4.0
½time: This iz a pretty-good-soundin’ CD, so far. You have a 4.1 for tha CD rating, currently!
11. “Bitch Boy”
>>> I like how this sounds; nice attitude in tha hook when it comes ta describin’ tha title, lol! Good job holdin’ it down fa Louisiana, here; “(holdin’) it down” all day! Anotha long song but sounds betta since it’s soundin’ good fa me. My Rating: 4.3
12. “Gangsta” Feat. Low-Down
Let’s hear dis collab… >>> Sounds pretty anticipatin’ in tha beginning… Really feelin’ how this starts off! This iz tha kinda shit I’d luv ta hear from you; really sounds great wit how you sound as well as tha content and production!! Tha hook’s pretty catchy, although a lil’ cliché wit tha “gangsta, gangsta” part, but pretty nice at tha same time. Low-Down on tha 2nd verse and it’s anotha nice job done! Iz this tha Low Down from tha Early 2000s wit dat “Houma Style” CD from 2001? My Rating: 4.4
13. “We Gon Hustle” Feat. E.S.G.
Anotha DJ B-Do-produced joint, here. This was submitted to me and I believe I played it on tha radio. That night, I had gotten songs and forgot to play ‘em, but I think I remember playin’ this ‘cause I talked about E.S.G. on tha radio. Tha beat’s pretty smooth, here, and it sounds like a good collaboration. It sounds like tha hook gets addictive! Speakin’ of E.S.G., what I said about him on tha radio was that before my radio show, back in Fall 2003, I had first heard of E.S.G. on my radio station, lol! Someone else had a show (I think it was one or two white dudes) and they were playin’ undaground shit. I used ta be addicted ‘til I noticed dat tha show disappeared after 2003. Anyway, I’m glad I’m holdin’ it down, now! Good shit from him on tha 2nd verse; nice collab, once again! Y’all hustlin’ to tha fullest!! My Current Rating: 4.4
14. “So Much Time” Feat. Lil’ Yung
>>> Not that crazy about this hook and beat… This iz aight fa me; nothin’ bad… Tha 2nd verse sounds betta; feelin’ tha contributed energy, at tha times. My Rating: 3.4
15. “Body Bag ‘Em” Feat. Lil’ Yung
LOL, anotha Lil’ Yung collab? Must be a close friend? Looks like a real-good-lookin’ title! >>> This sounds interestin’ fa me; likin’ tha guttaness on tha hook, lol; that title iz tha shit! Real nice shit, here, ya dig? LOL @ tha 2nd verse wit tha “…must be fulla pillz;” random appearance, lol. My Rating: 4.3
16. “What It Do” Feat. Bub & S.Dot
>>> Kinda on a different side although I’m likin’ how tha hook sounds this time. I dunno about tha lyrics, though; not too bad for an overall song. Oh, that must be you, now, on tha 2nd verse; no wonder why it sounds a lil’ betta, now… Not really inta tha 3rd verse; already started childish… My Rating: 3.6
17. “They Faking”
>>> Uh no, a near-five-minute song about “fake” people; let’s hear dis… Okay, more on tha ‘90s vibe in tha beat. Tha hook’s interestin’; you know it’s betta ta make songs about “(people) faking” than dat “I’m real, I’m real, I’m real”-type bullshit! LOL @ tha 1st verse: anotha “pillz” reference; interestin’, lol… Good, interestin’ shit you got goin’ through tha whole song, keepin’ it consistent! My Rating: 4.2
18. “What U Workin’ Wit”
>>> A shorter length here. LOL @ tha hook; sounds like catchy music… I really like tha beat chosen, here, and you got shit on lock, too. My Rating: 4.1
19. “Cumming”
LOL, spelling counts in this, so iz this really about someone “cumming”? >>> Okay, I guess it iz, based off tha lyrics. I’m not too crazy about tha sound of this; would’ve been better if tha beat was much tighter and had some humor to it. My Rating: 3.7
20. “My Section”
>>> Okay, a better beat, here. Glad you’re serious wit how you’re comin’ through on this. LOL, random person on tha hook? Must be tha same, sampled/used person from tha last song. Good shit; feelin’ tha street content, lol! LOL @ tha “low, low jeans;” character comin’ outta you, lol! My Rating: 4.2
21. “Buckin’ 2 The Ceiling”
>>> I dunno why but this sounds a lil’ familiar. Not sure, but it sounds pretty catchy, lol. Funny how everyone needs ta have a song like this, too, lol. My Rating: 4.2
Overall: Sounds like a good CD; you’re pretty consistent wit it! Let’s see how you do on tha next review I finna do for you.
