Right about now, I got a review fa my big dawg, Savage! Now, yesterday, I reviewed tha new Back 2 Business mixtape dat DJ Smallz hosted, from G-Lane, and it marked two years since I reviewed G-Lane Vol. 1. Now, today, I’m reviewin’ No Rest, No Sleep 2, and ironically, it’s an exact year since I reviewed No Rest, No Sleep (tha 1^st one), lol! You know me, I luv repeatin’ moments on tha same day! Tryna buy a $20 scratch-off on Level’s birthday, in honor of my $200 found winner back in ‘07, but we may get a hurricane? WTF? Anyway, here goes my review for Savage a.k.a. Sav Rothstein No Rest, No Sleep 2; definitely lookin’ forward, 440 reviewz later, lol!!!!! Start Time: 1:28 PM | End Time: 2:52 PM


Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I already love it. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating! I feel very anticipated fa this; you wanna have a baby on August 26, Sav, lol? >>> Definitely agree wit tha “last time, a lot of…” happened; I’m glad I grew up since then! Age 23 kicks age 22, 21 & 20’s muthafuckin’ asses!!! Now, people pay me to do things, I don’t fuck wit fake people, I don’t give a fuck ‘bout most people, I can get to pubs/clubs, and I have a car! Looks like a lot of fucked-up-type shit happened in your hood since tha 1^st No Rest, No Sleep? Dat sux… My Rating: N/A

Yes, an “ode”! Let’s get it, Sav!! >>> Only 2:01 on tha length; let’s see how quick this’ll go… Feelin’ tha tight-ass beat you’re bringin’ to tha table, here, as well as how you’re deliverin’ this official shit (fuck tha word ‘real’; it’s all about ‘official’)! “Saw me on tha cable;” which channel(s) you were on after BET in 2005? Or, was it just that? Either way, good-ass shit, here; you really know how ta handle shit fa err-body listenin’, ya feel me? My Rating: 4.5


03. “I Ain’t Frontin’ Shit” Feat. C-Loc
Whoa @ tha attitude, already!!! Gotta luv it!! Just like my gurl Alexia says: “Luv it!! He iz so good!” You know I’m lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this kinda “shit,” lol! >>> Sounds like a jam wit tha beginning beat; you definitely have these beats on lock at all times!! Ooh, this sounds like a club song wit tha vibe and how you “ain’t frontin’ shit,” all day, lol! C-Loc’s startin’ off tha 1^st verse wit some good “shit;” it’s all about livin’ dat everyday life of bein’ tha “shit,” ya dig? Yes, some attitude in your voice, Sav, as you’re handlin’ tha 2^nd verse in a great way!! Good job wit how you “ain’t frontin’ shit” on tha 2^nd verse, just kickin’ buku, buku ass, lol! Now, time fa hungry Loc ta hop onto tha 3^rd verse, as he’s comin’ through wit dat hood “shit” dat people gotta feel! Up, you’re hungry, too, ta where you had ta hop onto tha 2^nd ½ of tha 3^rd verse, Sav! LOL, “where’s yo pajamas at? It’s time fa bedtime;” you said it!! Dem pussazzez finna go ta sleep! 04. “I’m Serious”
That’s what you are and that’s why you get far, ya dig? >>> Sounds a lil’ faster for tha start; lookin’ forward… Sounds like a remake beat but you know how ta make it good and interestin’, 2011 style! I like tha shit you’re spittin’ in tha 1^st verse; it’s tha “serious” shit you want, which I’m sure you get, easily! Ooh, you’re singin’ tha hook!! I’m sure tha gurls get goosebumps hearin’ this shit; definitely feelin’ tha Summer, laidback, but fast vibe! Interestin’ shit goin’ on in tha 2^nd verse, too; seems like you always fill tha plate for my radio show, Sav! I tag you in, like, every show ‘cause there’s at least one song you produced, or were featured on, everytime I do a show; that’s how much you’re on ya grind! Tha 3^rd verse iz pretty nice, too; “eatin’ me a sandwich,” lol! Almost sounds like tha word, “savage,” lol! My Rating: 4.5


05. DJ Buff Yo Skuff Skit (Free T Mck)
LOL, no M/F (muthafuckin’) in tha ID? Wit 2:29 on tha length, I know this gon be some entertainment… some jail entertainment? I think he was around when this CD was in tha process of recordin’? Let’s see. >>> Tha 3Deep First 6 Months dayz, it feels like! WDICK4U, too, lol! ROFL @ tha “you one ugly muthafucka” when it comes to tha “only comes at night” shit; funny job, here. My Rating: N/A


06. “Beatin’ Up” Feat. Level & Lil’ Boosie
Ooh, this song I played on my gurl Alexia’s birthday radio show; had ta show her luv wit a song like this, lol! Ugh, all those damn boyfriends, lol!! Already reviewed this in tha past, but you know this iz catchy, between tha Boosie sample on tha hook, and tha shit you be on durin’ tha 1^st verse, Sav! Level’s entertainin’, too. LOL, in tha show’s video, I said, “Alexia, I dunno if you can handle what he sayin’,” lol; crazy shit! Also, your flow iz smooth like butta for these ladies on tha 3^rd verse, too; err-body must luv this, lol!! My Current Rating: 4.6


07. “I’m The Shit”
Duh!!!!! >>> Tight beat start; lol @ tha “you smell somethin’” part! LOL, double meanin’ fa tha title, since you have every positive of bein’ “tha shit,” ya heard me?! Tha hook sounds pretty catchy, of course; can’t deny “shit” like this, lol! Tha 2^nd verse sounds catchy wit your “shit,” too, lol! Tha 3^rd verse sounds tight wit all tha things you’re listin’, includin’ tha “huh bruh” ad-lib, at times, ya dig? My Rating: 4.4


08. “Kush & Lean” Feat. Bro-Bro
This iz definitely more like it, even though every single song on here has been hella tight, so far! Everytime I’m in an area wit “kush” in it (weed, etc.), I feel like it’s an automatic safe zone! Plus, it’s a transition from all tha bullshit out there! >>> Ooh, nerve-calmin’ hook, here, lol! Real nice job wit tha beat and how you’re singin’, drug style, lol! Glad you got a “bad bitch” ta “roll [your] dank up,” Sav; perfect mood, even for fuckin’, lol! Bro-Bro sounds good on tha 2^nd verse, too, especially wit how much shit he’s on, lol! Guess you fuck wit Bro-Bro tough, Sav, ta have him on your CD! You’re on tha 3^rd verse, as well, comin’ through wit your llllllllleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeddddddddd-ass, lol! What do we got, here? >>> LOL @ tha last second of tha “Kush & Lean” and 1^st second of this; didn’t sound like it was separated correctly? Sounds like some interestin’, trap-type shit goin’ on, here, lol. My Rating: N/A

What’s in tha bank fa this one, Sav? >>> Sounds like some of dat good, quality-type music fa tha undaground, here, based off tha beginning beat… Sounds like you deliverin’ a nice song fa tha ladies, here; good vibe, as you always have some Summer music in tha Summer, Sav! Sounds like tha hook’s pretty serious, when it comes ta not havin’ a bad change of pace! It’s all about keepin’ tha one you wit, and hoping they feel tha same way, too! Nice job wit tha 2^nd verse, too, as you’re continuin’ on wit dis shit, includin’ tha “huh bruh” ad-lib, too. Tha 3^rd verse iz also pretty-good, too; good shit, Sav. My Rating: 4.0


½time: You holdin’ it down, Sav, at all times!! Currently, you have a 4.5 for tha CD rating!!!!! You always seem ta put tha new music out there in an interestin’ way, and I’m glad you don’t stop!!


11. “Life Of A Gangsta” Feat. Kevin Gates & Nu$$ie
A lil’ added 12 seconds? Sounds good; you already know I know this one. On accident, I forgot to play it on my 2^nd annual Nu$$ie tribute show on 2.12.2011, but I’ll play it on tha 3^rd annual one! Great job wit tha collaboration and holdin’ it down fa tha gangstaz at every chance you get, Sav!! Everyone must bow-down ta that hook; perfect way of capturin’ attention wit a special voice! My Current Rating: 4.7


12. “Tryna Change”
Let’s hear what you gon do wit this one… >>> Anotha intro? Sounds pretty cool, hustlin’ style! Nice job wit it bein’ 17 seconds; let’s now see how this track gon turn out… I hear a nice, Southern vibe in tha beat; good shit, Sav! Also, tha hook’s pretty smooth wit your kick-ass singin’, as well as your kick-ass content of tha drugs! Damn, that’s a lotta shit you be on, when it comes ta sellin’ shit; hustlin’-ass Savage doin’ tha damn thang on tha 1^st verse! LOL, iz it a mirage? Quikkdraw on tha 2^nd verse? Neva mind, that’s you, I believe; sounds pretty focused, though. See, someone like you can create a mirage in this hot CD, Sav, lol! I thought Quikkdraw was also on this ‘cause where this link came from, didn’t source tha features on “Life Of A Gangsta”. But yea, keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 3^rd verse, wishin’ you could “roll [someone] up a blunt;” that’s pure dedication, right there! My Rating: 4.2


13. “2010 Hi Life” Feat. Max Minelli
A “2010” theme title wit Max? Let’s see how good we got, here! >>> Whoa @ tha intro; really feelin’ your “high”-type hook start! You definitely be handlin’ these laidback/smooth anthems! Oh no, now, it’s ‘fuck my mainline,’ when it comes to tha content on tha 1^st verse, Sav? Pretty rough; glad I’m solo ‘cause I neva stop doin’ what I be doin’! Damn, even “poppin’ tab afta tab;” jiggalatin’ monsta, Sav, in a depressed way! Sounds like a lotta rough shit Max be spittin’ on tha 2^nd verse; sometimes, I may say dat I don’t wanna hear all tha shit dat be goin’ on, but at least, I can’t picture it. What happened on tha last second, lol? My Rating: 4.6


14. “Gettin’ Dough” Feat. Young Ready
LOL, this song made it!! Startin’ ta luv it, especially since it came on while I was drivin’, as well as gettin’ lost on a trail on a mountain, lol! Talk about those bein’ non-“dough” times, lol! But yea, as I said in tha Young Ready review, you really holdin’ down tha hook down, Sav, as well as Ready doin’ his thang wit all tha drugs he slang, and great shit he be rappin’ about! Even comin’ through wit a verse, too, Sav; that’s how hungry you are, Sav! Also, this time, a space at 1:46 when you start your verse? I don’t get how there’s random things happenin’ throughout tha ends of songs and sometimes, in tha mist of tha songs… Damn, it did dat space, again, at 3:28… My Current Rating: 4.8


15. “My City 2” Feat. Ree-Up, Banga, Lil’ Bubba & Head Da YG
Looks like a bunch of Young Guerillaz on tha feature, this time, lol! Didn’t think there’d be a sequel to “My City”, so I’m lookin’ forward ta hearin’ what gon be tha 2K11 version! >>> R.I.P. Sheen~Marie; one of tha only BR murders I heard about this year! She was beaten and burned ta death! But as far as this version, I like tha news story in tha beginning, as well as tha cool-soundin’ hook and beat you got, here! Really like tha shit you bringin’ to tha 1^st verse; I’m sure most people in your “city” can relate ta this shit, which luckily, I can’t. First time I’m hearin’ this Ree-Up dude on tha 1^st ½ of tha 2^nd verse, and he sounds like a Young Ready brother, lol? ROFL @ his anger; glad he’s got a lot! Must be Banga on tha 2^nd ½ of tha 2^nd verse? Feelin’ tha shit he bringin’ to tha table; must be a Young Ready cousin, or ___-in-law person, lol? Next up, Lil’ Bubba on tha 1^st ½ of tha 3^rd verse, comin’ through wit some witnessed-type shit, which sounds pretty rough/tight! Tha 2^nd ½ of tha 3^rd verse iz Lil’ Head, comin’ through wit lots of shit dat I prolly neva see, lol (maybe, once in a blue moon each year); good job, though. This iz a different twist from tha original; I like this a lil’ betta, but tha original’s classic, still! My Rating: 4.7


16. “Mama Told Me” Feat. Quikkdraw & Tre Virdure
ROFL, tha mirage turned into a real feature, lol! I thought I was just joking on “Tryna Change”, but I guess my wish came true, just now, lol! This looks like it’ll be an interestin’-type of real/struggle song? Lemme see… >>> Good beat, a lil’ different on tha hook from you, Sav; good job wit this kinda shit (or was dat Tre? LOL, you both sing)… Tha 1^st verse was pretty good from you; good job, Sav, wit holdin’ down how people be. Tha 2^nd verse iz you (so dat must be Tre on tha hook); lots of info you know! I have ta admit, you’re one of tha best people in your 20s out there! Quikkdraw’s on tha 3^rd verse, and now, I can tell tha difference in tha voice, a lil’, lol; good job wit this serious shit! Speakin’ of which, still prayin’ fa Quikkdraw’s “mama;” regardless of tha current results, I just keep her in my prayers, currently! My Rating: 4.1


17. “Smooth Getaway 2”
Ooh, a follow-up wit Alexia’s birthday on tha length! Will there be a singer/tha same singer as tha previous one on here, or will this be a completely different twist? >>> Sounds like a unique start for a beat start… Must be dat Reuben Lael dude on tha feature, again; likin’ it, although I thought I’d hear a catchy sample, surprisingly… Ooh, you’re on tha 1^st verse, startin’ off wit tha “kush;” definitely what’s up, Sav! Sounds like you’re havin’ a day of your own on tha 1^st verse, Sav; that’s what you gotta have! That’s why I’m feelin’ betta than I’ve felt before: I don’t give a fuck ‘bout others; people gotta give a fuck ‘bout me, first! I did in 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010; four years iz enough! Ooh, even a “rollin’ up a blunt or two” on tha hook; damn, talk about feelin’ good/greater than a ma’fucka! Sounds like tha 2^nd verse iz good, too; I can see tha ladies likin’ this, too, wit all this shit you’re offerin’, Sav! LOL, now, it sounds like some ignorin’ on tha 3^rd verse; very anti, Sav, lol! Re-hearin’ tha original, and it sounds like a completely different singer, this time. I actually like tha original better, but this iz pretty nice, too. My Rating: 4.3

ROFL, you killin’ these hooks wit how you be doin’ you on ‘em!! Shit, err-body gotta feel this, in an obsessive, ridin’ way, lol! Strictly on your own on tha 1^st verse; I feel dat! You keep this independent, Out The Cage Entertainment shit up, you gon keep this quality in your music active! Nice job wit tha 2^nd verse, too; what else could I expect from you, Sav? Tha 3^rd verse iz pretty good, too; lol, keep enjoyin’ life, Sav! My Rating: 4.4

Will you be able ta have anotha five-star-rated C—oh, a repeat song, lol; guess you automatically win, or should I say, “wi-i-iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin,” lol! You already know wit this one; you strictly do it great for “UGK,” and for tha South! LOL, I didn’t recognize tha reversed word ‘til I un-reversed it, just now: “in-person”? “[Somethin’] person”? LOL… My Current Rating: 4.5


Overall: You did it again, Sav!! Definitely came through wit some consistent, hot, fresh, tight-ass shit!! Even though I liked tha 1^st volume better, this goes to show you that you don’t stop what you’re doin’!! Like I said, you’re one of tha best people in your 20s, ya feel me?
