Review #1,330: I-10 Wes "SouthWes Louisiana (Hosted by FrankieThaLuckyDog & I-10 Wes)"

Reviewed on 9.30.2013 (Review #1,330)

Keepin’ tha reviewz on-n-poppin’, this next one iz for I-10 Wes again, and it’s brought to you by yours truly, FrankieThaLuckyDog! Here’s my review for I-10 Wes SouthWes Louisiana (Hosted by FrankieThaLuckyDog & I-10 Wes)! I did tha artwork, hosted it, blended and mixed it together! Start Time: 11:18 PM | End Time: 11:50 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

01. “Outchea Gettin’ Money” Feat. Young Ready & Slick
Neva heard this new version, yet! >>> Oh God, here I am on tha intro… LOL @ how I said, “Leggo.” I haven’t said that word too much… Anyway, since this iz tha same kinda beat/parts from you as tha original, I’ll just review tha new parts… Ready’s on tha 2nd verse, here. Oh, he’s “Racked-Up Ready,” here, so Wes, after this, it’s time ta update his name. Pretty good lil’ verse from him, here. Also, hearin’ Slick on tha 3rd verse… Glad he referenced “Missy” Elliott and her “Get Ur Freak On” track, lol. My Rating: 4.4

02. “Big Dog” Feat. Lady Savage
LOL! Thumbs up fa you showin’ me luv on tha drop, Wes! My Current Rating: 4.7

03. “Who Is U Playin’ With” (Lil’ Jigg Feat. I-10 Wes & DJ Titanik)
Here’s Lil’ Jigg a.k.a. Da Klub Rocka’s song, featurin’ you & Titanik on tha beat/feature! Despite me blendin’ these songs together and all that, I neva got ta listen to them, due to I’ve been really busy wit my upcoming video countdowns! So, all these reviews are new! >>> Wes shoutin’ err-body out! And, talk about bein’ on drugs, here, lol! Such a hyped-up hook from dat boy, Lil’ Jigg!! Sounds like that great, underground, semi-internet shit that doesn’t really get noticed that I luv! Great shit in tha 1st verse!! Lil’ kid on tha 2nd verse, who’s “on parole”? Maybe, that was you on tha 1st verse, Wes? Guess this Jigg dude’s real young, based off how he sounds? Reminds me of tha early dayz of me listenin’ to dat grimy, young-soundin’ dirty south from Atlanta! Thumbs up fa bein’ “on dem mollies;” crazy shit! Forgot Titanik was screamin’, “Yeahhhhh,” in tha background, lol; he’s blended in wit my pitch increase! Continuin’ on wit tha 3rd verse, here, and it sounds good. Also, some New Orleans-like vocals, too? Sounds like more people are in this? LOL, so much goin’ on!! My Rating: 4.7

04. “Why You Ain’t Got What I Got” Feat. Lil’ Boosie & DJ Titanik
Technically, it’s not featuring Lil’ Boosie, as it’s just a sample on tha hook. However, I put it in there, just to give Wes a boost. My Current Rating: 4.7

05. “Who Dat” Feat. Jiggaman
Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this collab! Gorilla Goonz!! >>> I like tha beat sound, here… Luvin’ tha beat, here!! Of course, almost like a “How Ya Do That”-type of hook, here; gotta feel it! You really hyped-up on tha 1st verse, Wes!! Got Jiggaman on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through like a real jiggalater should! Jiggaman gotta be tha best drug dealer of all-time in tha music biz!! Nice job wit tha 3rd verse, too, strictly comin’ through wit dat crazy shit!! My Rating: 4.6

06. “Free Boosie” (4Fam (Slick & I-10 Wes))
>>> Sounds like a laidback-kinda vibe, here… Nice job wit tha 1st verse, here… Tha hook’s for those that need ta be “free;” it’s aight fa this CD. Tha 2nd verse sounds like some nice shit, wit a ‘90s vibe in tha background, as far as tha beat. LOL, I’m feelin’ different once tha 2nd verse came on… My Rating: 4.2

½time: Soundin’ good; a 4.6-rated CD, currently! You know how I do!!

07. “I Got Work To Do” (Zigga Feat. I-10 Wes)
A lotta collaborations, here… >>> Not really into these samples on tha hook, but my pitch increase makes it sound better. Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it sounds good… A decent vibe, but Zigga stay motivated. Here you are on tha 2nd verse, and it sounds like you’re motivated, too; good shit! Tha 3rd verse from Zigga ain’t too bad, either; good job… My Rating: 3.8

08. “Narcotics”
>>> I like how tha hook sounds, here… Tha beat ain’t bad, but I’m likin’ your “narcotics” references, here! Good shit comin’ from tha 2nd verse, too; oh, don’t you just luv drugs, right, lol? My Rating: 4.4

09. “Hands Up” (JT Freeze Feat. I-10 Wes & Jolly Baw)
>>> Beat sounds catchy, here… Tha 1st verse sounds a lil’ off-beat, here and there, but it’s pretty catchy. Time ta “pull out dem handz” on tha hook; gotta luv it! Likin’ tha 2nd verse, here, from you; energy at its finest! Must be Jolly Baw on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit some energetic shit, too; gotta luv it! A “Lafayette” representa, here… My Rating: 4.5

10. “She Love Me” Feat. Young Piece (MouthPiece)
>>> I like tha beat, here; good shit… Tha hook sounds nice wit this underground, energetic style! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from this MouthPiece/Young Piece dude, and it sounds like they’re focused, so that’s good. Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit regular-soundin’ rhymes, here. My Rating: 4.1

11. “Kreole Lady (Remix)” (Chris Ardoin Feat. I-10 Wes)
>>> A singin’ hook, here? Not really into it too much, but tha beat makes you wanna dance, wit my pitch, lol… Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit dat “I love treats, I’m a big dog” line again; feelin’ how you comin’ through, here… Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some good vibes… My Rating: 3.6

12. “Can’t Hold Me Down” Feat. Lady Kym
Wes Nile Virus Vol. 2 comin’ soon! My Current Rating: 4.2

Overall: I thought I put together a nice lil’ mixtape (yes, this iz a true “mixtape”) for you, Wes! Keep up tha great work!

Review #1,329: I-10 Wes "Wes Nile Virus Vol. 1"

Reviewed on 9.30.2013 (Review #1,329)

This next review iz also for Eunice’s I-10 Wes Wes Nile Virus Vol. 1. Let’s see this expected-to-be-nice follow-up! Start Time: 10:08 PM | End Time: 10:57 PM

© 2013 CD Review (Review #1,329) reviewed on 9.30.2013 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Gud Musik”
>>> Tha beat sounds okay, here, for a southern beat… Hearin’ you rap on tha 1st verse, and it’s a lotta rappin’, at a fast pace… Though I’m not really into tha super-fast rappin’ much, anymore, I think this good… Tha hook ain’t too bad, here; flows wit tha verse, only slower… Tha 2nd verse goes wit tha 1st verse, wit all dat fastness… My Rating: 4.0

02. “Can’t Hold Me Down” Feat. Lady Kym
LOL! Now, toward tha beginning of tha CD! My Current Rating: 4.2

03. “Ain’t Playing Wit ‘Em”
>>> Sounds like a good beat fa you ta rap on, 337 style, once again! Tha hook’s just tha title, plus an “I,” and it sounds good. Though on tha previous CD, it was only six months from this one (this one was released on 12.21.2012), you sound a lil’ grown wit your voice, here. I’m feelin’ tha 1st verse, as you’re comin’ through wit some good shit fa your hood. Also, tha 2nd verse sounds good, too, strictly holdin’ tha beatz down… My Rating: 4.0

04. “Out Chea Getting Money”
Readyless & Slickless, still? My Current Rating: 4.3

05. “Hustle, Grind” Feat. Lil’ Derrick
>>> Almost thought this sounded familiar, but it’s nice… Feelin’ how you comin’ through on tha hook wit tha repeatin’ title. Nice beat, too; you rappin’ on some adventurous shit, it sounds like, lol. Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit your “D-O-G” status; feelin’ it! Gotta luv tha undaground… We got Derrick on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some gangsta shit; nice lil’ verse, here… Here you are on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit continuous rhymes, once again. Damn, 17 seconds of silence at tha end? My Rating: 4.3

06. “Got What I Got” Feat. Slick, Durt & DJ Titanik
>>> Didn’t realize it was this song, lol. I don’t recognize tha “Durt” feature, but you know DJ Titanik reppin’ hard on this track! Nice, original beat, as well as tha super, hyped-up feelin’! Good shit on tha 1st verse, here; consistency at its finest! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice wit you on it; what else do I have ta say? We got Durt on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit consistent rhymes; gotta feel ‘em! My Rating: 4.7

07. “Feeling Gud”
>>> Tha vibe sounds like a pop-rap song, here… Ehh, not bad. Sounds like a tribute to Pimp C, at times, here… Good job wit you supplyin’ a good vibe fa tha 1st verse. Now, here’s tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit a busy schedule, accordin’ ta this “agenda.” Hearin’ tha 3rd verse now, and it’s still on an okay tip. Why iz this joint so long? I like when you spittin’ dem jointz out fast. My Rating: 3.3

08. “Road 2 Success” Feat. Lil’ Derrick
Missin’ a “c” in “success”. >>> An online beat… Ehh, anotha okay joint; can’t complain, here. At least this one’s quick… I like Lil’ Derrick on this one betta, but it’s still an okay joint. My Rating: 3.2

½time: A 4.0-rated CD, currently. So far, this an aight CD. Tha beginning’s pretty good, but I want more 337-like vibes…

09. “Trust” Feat. Lil’ Derrick
>>> Tha vibe’s more upbeat, here… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and it’s aight. Tha hook’s just a dude vocalizing; interestin’ vibe, but nothin’ that captures my attention like tha DJ Titanik-produced jointz… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and it sounds better for me, here. Oh, Derrick’s on tha 3rd verse, here? Okay; I’m likin’ how tha beat sounds like a G-Funk beat, at times. My Rating: 3.6

10. “Freaking You” Feat. Slick & MVP
>>> A random “Bad-Ass Yella Boy” shit in tha beginning; iz that a beat tag? I’m not a fan of beat tags, especially if they’re sentences and shit… I like tha beat and tha vibe, but iz this anotha song wit that “Freaking You” sample? I think we got enough of those… Slick sounds good on tha 1st verse, comin’ through, settin’ tha vibe… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse (MVP?) and it’s an okay verse… Then again, this joint’s too long for me to sit here… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse from you, and it’s soundin’ cheesy, wit tha “kiss tha phone” shit and shit… My Rating: 2.5

11. “She Want A Big Dawg” Feat. Mandi Savage
LOL @ all tha ID changing! My Current Rating: 4.7

12. “Going Crazy” Feat. Lil’ Derrick
>>> Nitti? Damn, jacked? I don’t recognize it… I like your style wit tha clothes, here. This sounds good; nice job, Wes, on tha 1st verse… Here’s Derrick on tha 2nd verse, soundin’ like Cory Gunz, a lil’. Nice job wit tha verses… My Rating: 3.5

13. “‘Bout My Money” Feat. Big Boom
>>> An okay hook, here, as well as anotha dry-soundin’ beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and I’m feelin’ these rhymes! Oh, that’s Big Boom; nice shit! Now, switchin’ ta you? Kinda confused on who’s who, but great collab on tha 1st verse! Now, I hear some “muthafuckin’ man” shit, and I’m likin’ that; good job from Big Boom, randomly! I think I’m up to tha 2nd verse, here, and it’s soundin’ nice wit tha fastness! Also, you comin’ in, and you comin’ through wit a lot of a lot, too, lol… My Rating: 4.3

14. “We Out Chea” Feat. Wochee
>>> Anotha okay beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and this ain’t too bad… Okay, tha hook’s on a “money” tip. Ehh, whatever, I guess it’s okay. Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, either. And, tha 3rd verse makes you known that you “out chea.” My Rating: 3.6

15. “Out My Top” Feat. Lil’ Derrick
>>> Sounds like anotha underground, internet-like song, here, wit tha beat you chose… Tha 1st verse ain’t too bad, here. These verses are startin’ ta get boring. Nothing’s really standin’ out, now… Tha 2nd verse from Derrick sounds boring wit this cocky attitude and shit. Ehh, whateva; turned out to be almost below-average for me, here. My Rating: 3.0

16. “Y They Mad” Feat. Slick
>>> Titanik beat? Let’s hear it fa tha final song, here… Oh, I’m likin’ tha title in tha hook; interestin’ shit, here, wit a hyped-up vibe!! See, now this tha shit I’m diggin’!! Tha 1st verse sounds nice, here; catchy shit! Here you go on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit your “in-tha-zone”-type shit! My Rating: 4.6

Overall: This was a good/okay CD, but tha other one was better. I gon review tha CD I made for you. I know that gon top ‘em all!

Review #1,328: I-10 Wes "Back Like I Left Sumthin'"

Reviewed on 9.30.2013 (Review #1,328)

Reviewed a few CDs earlier and got tired. Now, I just got up from napping, and I finna review this CD, based outta Eunice, LA: I-10 Wes Back Like I Left Sumthin’, his first release, which was released on my 24th birthday, last year! Start Time: 8:27 PM | End Time: 9:34 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Out Here Getting Money”
No features are listed, here, but I know this features Young Ready & Slick. I know of this, but I gon give it tha review now. >>> I like tha beat start/how tha beat sounds… Tha hook’s all nice and motivated, no matter how much I’m not a fan of tha title or not… Feelin’ your energetic vibe on tha 1st verse, strictly holdin’ it down in tha crowd/party! Oh wait, no features, here? This tha original, original version, lol… Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, still feelin’ good… My Rating: 4.3

02. “Put It Out There”
>>> I like how this sounds; catchy hook, here, as well as that southern, 337-like beat! Almost sounds like an unlisted feature, too, on tha hook! Here’s tha 1st verse, and it’s soundin’ pretty nice… Short, but sweet lil’ joint! My Rating: 4.5

03. “Big Dog”
>>> Of course, I know this one from tha lil’ CD I made for you, only there’s no feature, here. Still, tha beat’s nice and energetic, as well as you and tha “big dog” title/hook! Tha 1st verse’s good, strictly hyped-up! I have to say, when you said, “I dunno what kinda drugs you on, but I’m glad you like all that hyped-up shit,” or whateva, I take that as a compliment. It’s tha mystery of my Asperger’s syndrome, and why I luv Louisiana outta nowhere. But basically, I just luv tha vibes, no matter where I’m located! Anyway, tha 2nd verse sounds good, here, too! Ewe, seven seconds of silence at tha end! My Rating: 4.7

04. “Ride For Me” Feat. Lady Savage
What? Tha feature’s listed here? Weird… I guess that’s ‘cause I know tha other versions with people on ‘em, instead of these solo versions that were on here… >>> Feelin’ tha spooky sounds in tha beginning; nice and dark fa tha south! Random male singin’ on tha hook? This startin’ ta sound internet rapper-like fa me, now, which iz still cool, but seems more underground… I’m feelin’ how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse. I dunno, it’s just somethin’ in your voice and how motivated you are… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and it sounds nice, as you’re comparin’ this bitch to an “iPhone,” lol. Lady Savage’s on tha 3rd verse, and she sounds good…; can’t complain… Now, this hook’s startin’ ta sound like somethin’ I’d undergroundly—lol @ that word I just made up—sing, years ago, when I was more proud of my Louisiana connection. My Rating: 4.3

05. “Miss Mary”
>>> Feelin’ tha old school-soundin’ beat influence, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it’s pretty good wit how you comin’ through wit it. Tha hook sounds nice wit this female singin’… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and it sounds good, too; not much fa me ta say… LOL @ tha cold, random beat ending… My Rating: 4.2

06. “Good Times” Feat. Hurricane Shane
Wonder who this Shane dude iz… >>> Anotha beat vibe I’m likin’! We got some listed singing, this time, and this dude’s soundin’ good. Ooh, sounds like some throwback-kinda meanin’ on this hook; gotta feel tha “good times!” I miss tha dayz when I first started gettin’ inta Louisiana music (which, 11 dayz from now’ll be six years—can’t believe it)! Slowly discoverin’ artists, but brainwashed by managers… Before people dissed me and most importantly, before gettin’ robbed! Life seemed so innocent and fun… I still try and have a lil’ bit of fun outta it, now, by not givin’ up! Anyway, tha 1st verse from you sounds good, here… Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; glad I’m connected wit you, and keep it up! A lil’ extra shit toward tha end from Hurricane Shane, comin’ through wit a sing-rap verse fa tha 3rd verse… Likin’ tha slang and southern vibe! My Rating: 4.4

07. “I Want It All” Feat. Lil’ Derrick
Different Derrick? I know, this can’t be tha one that died a while ago… >>> Tha hook sounds catchy, here; simple, but catchy. Also, tha beat’s pretty regular and nice ta rap on… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and it sounds like you’re havin’ a good time. As long as tha “kush lit,” you know, you gotta win, right? We got this Derrick on tha 2nd verse, and it sounds like some regular rappin’. Iz this Derrick from Eunice? My Rating: 4.0

08. “One Night”
>>> This beat’s a lil’ laidback and dry, but you’re still interestin’ wit your rhymes… At least this was short and sweet, though. My Rating: 3.8

09. “No Friends” Feat. Lil’ Derrick
>>> This also sounds okay, as far as tha beat and rhymes… Really, this iz kinda randomness fa me, but it’s not bad. My Rating: 3.5

10. “Motivation” Feat. Slick
>>> Even though it’s a “money” song/hook, I like tha spelling on tha hook: “M-O-T-I-V-A-T-I-O-N!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it’s you, comin’ through as a “dog” who needs “a treat!” Nice line, and good vibe on this beat, here… Hearin’ Slick on tha 2nd verse, and thumbs up ta this “bitch born in 1982.” That’s a good year for people I know in BR! Good verses, here… My Rating: 4.2

½time: A 4.2-rated CD, so far; I’m enjoyin’ this! A lotta good vibes, here. You stay on your consistent shit, Wes!

11. “Coast To Coast”
>>> Nice upbeat beat, and you got shit on lock wit this verse, here… This more on tha hoes “shakin’” it “from coast to coast” tip, lol. LOL @ tha fade-out ending… My Rating: 4.1

12. “Freestyle”
It’s really a compound word… >>> Was like, “Eminem ‘The Way I Am’ beat?” Then again, I just realized tha title… Good rhymes, but I don’t fuck wit jacked-beat songs tha best… My Rating: 3.6

13. “Freestyle 2”
Okay…? >>> Gross; sounds like a bootlegged version of Kanye West & Syleena Johnson’s “All Falls Down”, here… Rhymes are okay, but once again, I don’t take these jacked-beat songs too serious… Also, not really feelin’ some of tha lyrics, here. My Rating: 1.8

14. “Freestyle 3” Feat. Lil’ Derrick
>>> Again, ’04? “How We Do” beat… Kinda boring wit these money-related lyrics; not too into this, either… Lil’ Derrick sounded a lil’ betta wit his rhymes… My Rating: 2.1

15. “Gone For A Minute” Feat. Dirty White
>>> A beat that sounds like an online beat, mixed wit that typical soundin’ of today’s southern rap… Ehh, where’s tha Louisiana/DJ Titanik-soundin’ beats like tha beginning of this CD? This okay, as far as tha hook goes… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and it sounds good that you have tha energetic side to you. But, my interest ain’t all tha way there, like it was wit tha songs earlier in this CD. Dirty White’s on tha 2nd verse, lettin’ y’all know that he “a mellow-type nigga,” so don’t get him started, lol. Nice, but kinda not that special, overall… My Rating: 3.4

16. “Fuck You”
>>> Okay, this beat’s more up my alley! Huh? Tha volume’s super quiet durin’ tha verse? Not good! Remember my labelin’ technique, Wes: I even fix all my songs’ volumes! Fixed at least, prolly, 100,000 volumes, lol! Anyway, good rhymes in tha 1st verse, here. Also, listenin’ to tha hook, and it sounds nice wit your middle finger-like attitudes. However, how ‘bout some more attitude? Like, maybe, get anotha dude in tha background, chantin’, “Fuck you,” like on some Lil’ Jon-type shit? Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and it sounds nice, here… LOL, randomly faded out and ended. My Rating: 3.9

17. “All My Gs” Feat. Dirty White & Slick
>>> I’m likin’ this beat, includin’ tha intensity it brings durin’ tha hook; like tha ‘oh no’ vibe, lol… Also, a mysterious lady on tha hook; feelin’ her! Here’s tha 1st verse, and it’s good; sounds a lil’ off-beat, at times… Here’s tha 2nd verse from Mr. White, comin’ through wit his “scandalous” lifestyle, lol… Well, that’s what’s heard through tha grapevine. He mainly comin’ through wit his motivation, and it’s pretty nice on this track… Slick’s on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through, on his grind… Yea, “off tha po’ch,” while y’all were sittin’, watchin’ TV… That’s kinda me, only it’s doin’ reviewz and networking. Random “Bad-Ass Yella Boy” shit toward tha end of this (which that was also in tha beginning, too). My Rating: 4.2

18. “Reppin’ My Block”
>>> LOL, ’06 sample, here, wit Sean P (from tha YoungBloodZ) and tha “reppin’ my block” shit from “Snap Yo Fingers”! Back when I was helpin’ out TVT Records artists, gettin’ calls from Pitbull! “Good times,” like you say! Feelin’ how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse, strictly “reppin’” dat 337—Eunice! Tha 2nd verse iz good, too; make sure y’all “on dat Grey Goose,” though, lol. “E-U-N-I-C-E”in’ tha ending, lol. A 49-second beat outro, here… My Rating: 4.1

19. “Can’t Hold Me Down” Feat. Lady Kym
Her name has a “y” in it… >>> Oh yea, this joint from tha CD I made for you. Ironically, you put it near tha end like I kinda did (where, I put it at tha actual end). I’m feelin’ this, as tha both of y’all are holdin’ “down” tha hook, includin’ this beat, which can make you think this was a mainstream song. Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and it sounds like you losin’ a lotta things, such as “trust” and “luck,” here. Kinda how I feel, now-a-dayz, wit thangz… Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too. You really luv “money,” huh, wit this “mission”? Tha 3rd verse sounds good, too; one of tha longer songs on this CD, here… My Rating: 4.2

20. “Big Dog (Remix)” Feat. Lady Savage
Now, tha feature’s listed? Longer, so I guess it’s a new version/tha version I know…? >>> Same as tha previous version, so temporarily, I’ll put “remix”, here. To add to tha review, we got Lady Savage on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit consistent rhymes. I like her on tha track ‘cause technically, “she” iz tha one that “want a big dog!” My Rating: 4.7

21. “Out Here Getting Money (Radio Edit)”
Wow, been a long minute since I saw a radio edit included in a CD… See #1 fa tha review!

Overall: Nice CD, Wes! Felt most of it, except tha freestyles. But, keep up tha good work!

Review #1,327: Max Minelli "Gunpowder For Breakfast"

Reviewed on 9.30.2013 (Review #1,327)

Keepin’ tha reviewz goin’ wit one I had to buy. Unfortunately, Amazon gave me an Amazon/bootlegged-lookin’ version of tha front and back cover, as well as there bein’ no DVD. But, at least I have tha CD. Here’s my review for Max Minelli, LLC / Y$E Entertainment’s Max Minelli Gunpowder For Breakfast. Start Time: 3:56 PM | End Time: 4:51 PM

© 2013 CD Review (Review #1,327) reviewed on 9.30.2013 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. Getsum (Intro)
Gotta supply ‘em, Max! >>> Tasty gunpowder in tha intro, here! Kinda reminds me of 2 Chainz & Fergie “Netflix”, as it’s playin’ on Music Choice: Rap, right now! “Another blunt for breakfast!” Nice lil’ intro defined by, just, gunpowder, lol! My Rating: N/A

02. “Hashtag”
”#”in’ it up, lol! >>> Some Guss production, here, deliverin’ this “#” music for you, lol… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and it sounds like some drama, without tha mama, sadly, as there’s passed-away moms in tha content… I know you want money fa your rhymes, but tha rhymes should be free, and only wit your boyz! You don’t want a random white dude on your track that can’t rap, just ‘cause he paid you $12,345 for a verse! I like tha “hashtag” parts on tha hook; finally, Max, someone’s hashtaggin’ it up on a track! Interestin’ dat “Reno” iz your “godbrother.” No wonder why y’all always around each other, no matter what CD it iz! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, and this beat’s still keepin’ it consistent wit these sounds! “Haven’t punched no clocks since ’98;” damn, Max! Strictly livin’ off tha streetz since a teen! Sounds like you had a bad “phone call;” that sux. I neva got ta talk ta you on tha phone, yet. I think I’ve been kinda shy ‘cause of your ego, at times… Feelin’ your gutta, gangsta attitude at tha end, here, lol!! My Rating: 4.5

03. “Ask Dem Hoez” Feat. Reno
Keepin’ tha family up, as Reno’s on this CD, too! >>> Nice beat, here; sounds like it goes hard! I like how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse, strictly stayin’ undaground, like you should (not signin’ wit anyone)! This hook iz simple, but it sounds catchy; gotta feel it! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice; startin’ ta sound a lil’ catchier toward tha end of tha verse, where you repeated, “My mama ain’t raise no hoe.” We got Reno on tha 3rd verse, here, committin’ many sins in his past. But, that’s how he got his street cred, so it can be a good thing, Reno, lol! I like how tha verse slowed down at tha end, as tha track ended! My Rating: 4.3

04. “Realest Alive”
I’ll give you credit for puttin’ this as a title. Most rappers, I’d thumb them down! >>> Whoa @ tha beat start!! Sounds pretty loud wit a huge surround, here!! Wonder who did this track? Thumbs up ta them!! What a surprise fa a title like this! Your hook’s okay, here; you have tha credit ta use this kinda title and be proud of it! It’s like, you’re tellin’ peeps ta “sit tha fuck down,” especially those younger than you! I feel ya! Rarely do people get a pass after ’88 wit me! Good job wit tha 2nd verse, too, strictly competitionless, lol! My Rating: 4.5

05. “BitchWhut”
>>> Ooh, likin’ tha Baton Rouge-soundin’ beat, especially tha crickets in tha background of tha beat!! LOL @ tha hook; luvin’ how you repeat tha title!! “Whut—Whut—Whut!!” Catchy shit comin’ outta tha 1st verse, too… You can’t be defeated by many, Max! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, too; can’t complain, here, but I’m really feelin’ this one! My Rating: 4.6

06. “Ayewunn”
A lot of compound titles, lol… >>> You give a shout out to “A-One” (Wissel) in tha intro? Kinda makes sense wit this kinda title, lol. I didn’t realize what tha title was, at first, but now, I know, lol. Catchy hook wit this title, and tha beat’s nice, too… You got more catchy rhymes comin’ through tha 1st verse, here; can’t complain… Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; nothin’ much ta say about this except tha beat keepin’ it consistent… My Rating: 4.2

07. “‘Bout That Life”
>>> Okay, we got some X-Fyle production, here, and it’s soundin’ like a machine startin’ up, lol!! You know you’re ready ta jigg when tha beat sounds like your car startin’, or somethin’, lol! Nice, southern vibe this beat’s providin’… Tha hook sounds catchy, here; gotta be “‘bout that life” at all times! I like how you sound on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit catchiness on tha mic! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; jammin’, right chea! My Rating: 4.4

08. “Seventeen”
In your case, that was just about “seventeen” years ago, Max, lol! >>> I like how this beat sounds; seems like it’s tha early 2000s or somethin’! Make it a #TBM for today, lol! Tha rhymes sound good, here; it fits wit tha whole ‘comin’ up’ vibe from back in tha day. Tha hook sounds nice, as you were “gettin’ money” at “17, on tha block!” See, you don’t sound wack when it comes ta “gettin’ money” music, Max! Most peeps that spit dat “money” shit, I wanna fall asleep! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; can’t deny when tha Young, $elf-Employed Max spits! My Rating: 4.3

½time: A consistent CD you got chea, Max! Glad I spent my bucks on it! You’re at a 4.4 for tha CD rating, currently; keep tha consistency comin’!!!!

09. “Adult Swimm”
>>> A Mod Productions-like beat start, here (not confirmin’ that he produced, but it sounds like that vibe). This sounds nice; on tha hook, I like your imitation of tha orgasm sounds this hoe makes, Max! Well, I think it iz, tha “ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh” sounds she ‘pose ta make. Wow, this iz a catchy-ass song, lol!! Might add this one into rotation later, lol! “Swimm…, swimm!!!” Tha 1st verse sounds good, too; glad this “biiiiitch” has a lotta luv fa you! Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, either; gotta feel how passionate you are, here, wit tryna supply this “pussy!” My Rating: 4.6

10. “Remi” Feat. Jada Giovanni
Let’s see what this Italian female gon bring to tha table wit chu, Max… >>> Ooh, “Mouse drop tha track,” you say, Max? Sounds pretty nice, here! Yea, beat sounds!! Feels like Mouse’s, like, 23 again, lol! Then again, he neva ages! LOL, simple hook wit tha “bounce dat ass, bitch;” can’t complain! Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ pretty catchy, here… Once again, how can a hoe turn you down? Wow, Mouse’s sounds are off tha chain durin’ tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse!! Ooooooohhh, ahhhhhhh, lol! Ooh @ this Jada chick rappin’ on tha 2nd verse; gotta feel how she comin’ through wit her sex! You can almost imagine it bein’ Mouse’s girlfriend or somethin’, tha way she comes through on this beat! My Rating: 4.4

11. “Goin’ Thru Some Changes”
>>> Nice beat start from X-Fyle, here… Okay, I’m feelin’ how you comin’ through on tha hook; interestin’ delivery/rap-sung flow! Feelin’ how you comin’ through on this track; consistency defined on tha 1st verse wit your rhymes! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ pretty good, too! Hope you do “win” so you can “get whateva [you] deserve, [Max]!” My Rating: 4.3

12. “FucKum” Feat. Reno
Nice compoundness in tha title, lol. >>> Oh no, a stolen beat, 2009 style! A DJ B-Real production that was originally J Fletcha’s track, “I Got A Whole Lott”, featuring Iceman Da Lyricist. Damn, B-Real, you couldn’t put somethin’ new out? I hope ta find out tha story behind this one! This tha 2nd time, I know, that B-Real’s track was on somethin’ else. In 2010, it happened wit Lil’ Phat & Webbie. Their “Roof” track was tha same beat as Ville Boyz’s 2009 track, “Straight Stupid”. But, hearin’ you guys on tha hook, and it’s okay, but my attention’s weak when it comes ta Baton Rouge vs. Baton Rouge tracks like this! Tha 1st verse sounds nice, though; at least you got a vibe, but ain’t near that 4.8 (or whateva I rated Fletch’s track) feelin’… An okay verse from Reno on tha 2nd verse, here; can’t complain wit your guys’ efforts, at least… My Rating: 4.0

13. “Gunpowder For Breakfast”
>>> X-Fyle beat; let’s hope it’s brand new this time, lol. Sounds like somethin’ jammin’ for you to rap on, Max, in a slightly-different perspective… Tha rhymes are good, here, for your cemented status, Max; you can’t be touched! Tha hook sounds catchy, here. Wow, didn’t realize tha title was tha same name as this CD, lol! Talk about bein’ zoned into this song, lol. Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty consistent, at its finest! You don’t stop deliverin’ rhymes!! My Rating: 4.2

14. “On A Hunnit Stackz”
>>> Really likin’ tha beat start, here, as it sounds like tha inside of a factory! Yea, Max, I be abandon building-hopping now, lol! Great shit, especially bein’ 12 stories high, gettin’ high, ya feel me? Tha 1st verse sounds catchy, as you’re attractin’ tha “pussy,” once again! Even tha hook sounds catchy, fa a title like this! You seem ta win wit these titles ‘cause you’re a legend! Anyone else? I’d throw up! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, too; can’t complain wit how you comin’ wit it, Max! My Rating: 4.1

15. “My Administration”
>>> Ooh, likin’ this beat start a whole lot, despite it soundin’ like every mainstream song out now! I think it’s tha surround sound that’s catchin’ my attention! Ooh @ tha hook; really feelin’ how you deliver tha title! It sounds like you’re a lieutenant!! I like how you’re comin’ through on tha 1st verse, strictly deliverin’ shit like youse tha king! You sound like J Buc on “Stuck Up”, when you say, “my cliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiickkkkkkkkkkk!!” Nice! Feelin’ how you comin’ through on tha 2nd verse wit your consistency; gotta luv it, Max! I think this was two verses; not sure if I lost count, or was I just so into this, lol? My Rating: 4.5

16. “Party & Pop Bottles” Feat. Tawain
>>> Sounds like a pop party wit tha beat sound, but it’s soundin’ like a catchy hook, too… I like how Tawain randomly provides some background vocals, too. I like how she says, “Pop bottles,” wit you, Max; good hook. Almost sounds a lil’ like Keri Hilson; hotness! Good job wit tha 1st verse, too, strictly providin’ this party in a Max way! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, too; can’t deny it… My Rating: 4.2

Overall: I think this iz a first, Max, where we have a 5-star-rated CD from you! I neva got to review your older shit, yet, but I know there’s some fives in there, too! But yea, definitely feelin’ all tha consistency on this CD!! Only thing that threw me off was tha DJ B-Real beat from 2009. Could’ve had a 2013 beat from him ‘cause he definitely can use some bucks! But, I’m givin’ yourself a thumbs up, Max! Be proud ta get this five-star review from ya boy, FrankieThaLuckyDog!
