Took
a nap and installed a PSX emulator, but now, I’m back! Here goes my next
review: Lil’ Snupe 16 & Runnin’ (Tha Mixtape) (Hosted by DJ Ya Boy Earl). I
think I found this by Ya Boy Earl-searching on LiveMixtapes. This was also
released on tha final triple number date: 12.12.12. Start Time: 6:47 PM | End
Time: 7:38 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything
after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening
to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or
talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’
topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I
was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much
you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done
business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

“16”
>>>
Nice job wit tha 1st verse; pretty consistent wit deliverin’ your
life! So, your “mama” must be 33 now,
since she had you “at 16.” Tha 2nd verse sounds great, too; feelin’
it! My Rating: 4.4
02.
“Runnin’”
>>> Ooh, Earl on tha intro; good shit! Here you are wit tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some street shit, despite your young age… Nice job wit tha rhymes, and yea, I gon hate when I get “big,” to where people’ll be on my dick, or somethin’. Then again, that won’t happen for a long while from now! My Rating: 4.2

“Relax”
>>> Beat ain’t too bad, here; it sounds good wit your rappin’ on it… Once again, mo real shit… An outro from Earl, too. Yea, “be you.” I know a lotta people ignore me ‘cause of what I do, but I could give a fuck ‘bout err-body’s self-absorbed asses! My Rating: 4.1

“Freestyle 1”
>>> Kinda recognize this beat, but whateva; I know it’s jacked… Consistent rhymes, here; can’t complain… For a jacked-beat song, this iz nice! Great ending, including a quick Earl outro! My Rating: 4.0

“Honestly Speakin’”
>>> Sounds nice. Was that an edit to “hoes” at 1:46, or was that tha beat? Sounded like tha beat; weird… Either way, nice shit ta define a grind! And, an Earl outro! My Rating: 4.2

“Boot Up”
>>> Now, this iz a Louisiana sound fa tha beat, here! Sounds good; now, I know you’re from Jonesboro, LA—neva knew exactly where in Louisiana ‘til now. Sounds like a catchy 1st verse; can’t deny it… Tha hook sounds good and energetic wit how you’re comin’ through wit it! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; nice attitude. A 3rd verse, here… Prolly could’ve had a feature, but it’s not like this iz bad… My Rating: 4.3

“Harder” Feat. Hippo & C Nyle
>>>
I don’t even know tha “Cap” producer or whoeva it iz. It’s like, I thought I
knew most? But, you sound good on tha 1st verse, here… Hearin’ tha
hook, and it sounds good wit one of tha features; nice and “hard” wit tha
times. Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, “smokin’” all
different colors. Two features here, but I think I only heard tha one dude on
tha hook? Anyway, good lil’ joint, here. An outro here from you… And, anotha
outro from Earl; sounds like he has a cold, lol, but it’s great ta hear him! My
Rating: 4.2
½time: So far, pretty
consistent! I like it betta than tha CD he put out afta this, which was…, what
was tha name of it again? Oh, R.N.I.C..
LOL, I had to look on my blog for tha title… Anyway, 4.2 for tha CD rating, currently!
08.
“Ready To Go” Feat. C Nyle
>>>
Prolly tha least-favorite joint fa me on this CD, so far. Tha hook sounds like
a different song, and I’m not really into it. However, this beat sounds nice ta
hear for someone who was livin’ off their last months! Hearin’ tha 1st
verse, and it sounds okay/good… Tha 2nd verse sounds okay/good, too;
not bad, overall… My Rating: 3.6
09.
“Ready Or Not (Remix)”
>>> Was wondering why this was a ‘remix,’ but now, I see why wit tha beat choice (see tha title). Not sure if I’m anticipatin’ Earl’s intro, here… Ehh, your 1st verse was okay, but I didn’t need all that anticipation. Plus, I’m not a fan of havin’ tha original version’s parts in tha song. I take off fa that; it’s so uncalled for! Damn, why iz this a longer hook? Tha 2nd verse aight, too… My Rating: 2.4

“Freestyle 2”
>>> Anotha jacked beat… This iz betta, and it at least doesn’t have a boring hook from another song… Good rhymes; nice and consistent! My Rating: 4.1

“Sunrize” Feat. Money Bagz & C Nyle
>>>
This sounds much betta as far as tha production! LOL @ tha “Bad Azz
Entertainment Money Bagz,” here. I didn’t realize at first ‘cause his name
ain’t spaced in tha ID… Anyway, startin’ it off wit tha 1st verse:
It’s Money Bagz, comin’ through wit some good shit ta rap off this kinda beat!
Sounded like a random appearance from C Nyle toward tha end of tha 1st
verse, too? Interesting… Oh, I see, it was tha beginning of tha hook… Hearin’
you on tha 2nd verse, and it sounds good, too… So far, I think this
tha best song off this CD… How ‘bout an Earl outro? Guess not… My Rating: 4.5
12.
“Street” Feat. T Dog
>>>
Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and it sounds great! I like how you
mention, “Don’t trust no nigga,” or somethin’, from those that claim to be
“real.” It’s like, at tha moment, I know a few that are treatin’ me fake. Like,
goin’ online and postin’ their asses off, but not even answerin’ me. Yea, like
that’s real! Also, nice beat you’re rappin’ off of, here! This random rapper on
tha 2nd verse sounds like he’s so focused in fuckin’, here, than talkin’ about tha streetz? I actually am feelin’ tha rhymes, but sounds a lil’ too
before this dude’s time… ROFL @ bein’ obsessed wit “money.” Izn’t “money”
equivalent to a dude? LOL… Nice job on tha 3rd verse, too… And, Earl,
three seconds before this ended, what happened to tha mic? Either way, good
outro. My Rating: 4.2
13.
“God Is Good” Feat. C Nyle
>>>
Not really feelin’ tha Mack Morrison “Return Of The Mack” sample, here, in tha
background; kinda soft? Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and at least
you comin’ through wit tha real rhymes, once again. Kinda sounds like tha same
rhymes from tha 1st song… After all those consistent rhymes, it’s
time fa C Nyle on tha 2nd verse… Good rhymes; can’t complain. Pimp C
on tha outro, here… Not sure why he’s considered a ‘feature.’ I gon take him
out. Kinda random fa this… My Rating: 4.2
14.
“Freestyle 3”
>>>
ROFL @ knowin’ so many people; how,
at such a young age? Good rhymes from you on tha 1st verse; sounds
like randomness to me, though. Why would your dad wanna just not be there for
you? How fucked up; people fuck too soon!! Random outro; sounds like Earl got
aroused from a line, lol… Didn’t even realize there were features, here… My Rating: 4.4
15.
“So Tired” Feat. Twinn U & Jay Knox
>>> Sounds like a boring ending; not really into this singing on tha hook, and quiet beat… Oh, I see what we got here: A title mix-up. This one’s actually “So Tired”, not “Freestyle 3”. Either way, this tha ending track? I’m not sure, but it sounds like an ending song. We got Twinn U on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some okay rhymes. Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse… I remember those dayz where I wrote rappers letters, lol. My Rating: 3.4

Overall: I thought this was pretty
nice. Only two doozies and one decent one for me, but tha rest of tha CD was
pretty good!
