FrankieThaLuckyDog
here, now a Shift Leader! Whoot! And, before I make my debut unlocking my job,
I got a review I was booked for: Colacoast Entertainment’s Peppaboy Trill McCoy, outta Pensacola,
FL, Still Coastin’! Looks
like this gon have a Stalley vibe, based off tha coastin’? I dunno, but let’s see what’s brought to tha table, here!
Only thing iz, this CD won’t be able to sell hard copies in tha streetz? Its
length iz just 18 seconds shy: 1:20:18! Well, tha single’s tha final track in
tha CD; iz it a part of tha CD? I still gon review it, anyway… Start Time: 8:47 PM | End Time: 10:06 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything
after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening
to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or
talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’
topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I
was robbed by two artists who claimed their “money [was] long,” hearin’ about
how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have
not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

“Saltwater Swangin’” Feat. Thomas Scott
Thought
it was some shitty “swaggin’” title, but I just caught it, now! Lookin’ forward
ta hearin’ this, produced by Da Gumbo Kooker! >>> Nice beat start;
real funky and southern! Beat has that true southern, or as I like to call,
pure Baton Rouge
sound to it! Your lyrics on tha 1st verse sound like somethin’ Young
Dro would spit, with tha “neon” and “colors.” I’m feelin’ what you got, here; a
mix of Trae, Young Dro & someone who just turned 30? LOL… Nice that tha
hook’s just this pure beat! Tha 2nd verse’s good. I like how you
snuck, “P-A-I-D,” in there; didn’t sound cocky and sucky at all! LOL @ “spray
out my pee pee;” you sound like tha shit! Tha 3rd verse’s nice, just
like tha others; “turtle flow!” My
Rating: 4.4
02.
“Fish Grease”
Nice
title, includin’ Sims doin’ tha beat! He from Baton Rouge
and you from Pensacola?
Interestin’ that someone from Florida’ll
know Sims! >>> Didn’t expect this to sound so anticipatin’; more of an
’08 sound to it? Really diggin’ tha Sims beat & tha “uh-oh!!” chanting!
Also, tha 1st verse sounds pretty good. I dunno why, but when you
rap, it sounds like you have a suit on, at all times? Sounds pretty “hot” on
tha hook; really diggin’ tha title part! Talk about greasy!! Tha 2nd verse’s hot, too; really felt how tha
beat and you sounded toward tha last line of tha 2nd verse! Tha 3rd
verse’s catchy; really feelin’ all tha “een”-pronounced words, at tha end of
each line! LOL @ how tha hook’s words tried to play at tha end, but it faded
out, instantly! My Rating: 4.6
03.
“Ballin’”
Anotha
Gumbo Kooker production! >>> This sounds nice; real-nice production sounds!! Hearin’ you on tha 1st
verse, and it’s nice; I can feel tha heat (weather wise) when you spit ova this
beat! I’m really likin’ tha hook; you have a catchy voice when it comes ta this rap-singin’ shit!! Wow, beats
are really continuin’ ta be hot,
durin’ tha 2nd verse!! Luv how it changes from tha previous verse!
Tha 3rd verse’s pretty nice, too! Wow, 1:49 left? I have a feelin’
there won’t be a 4th verse; I think it gon be, like, a minute-long
outro, wit tha beat… I like how you said, “Ya heard me,” too; nice, here! LOL,
close: A 58-second beat outro! And yeah, “I know you smell it;” that’s right!
Can’t believe I like this one betta than tha previous song, and tha previous
song was real hot & catchy!! I
just think you made it sound real
pure, all tha way ‘round!! My Rating: 4.8
04.
“More 000’s”
Timmy
Fingerz on tha beat; I thought this was 007
fa a second, lol! >>> I’m likin’ what you sayin’ on tha intro… Nice
beat and hook, too; glad you “flippin’” err-thang! Pretty nice throughout this
track wit tha beat, and you sound good on tha 1st verse. Tha 2nd
verse sounds nice, too; gotta feel how you comin’ through wit tha heat, on this
beat! “Put some seasoning on her;” mmm, lol! Tha 3rd verse’s good:
“A Bruce Springsteen on lean;” interestin’! “My Girbauds don’t crinkle;” nice!
Glad you be rockin’ dem ‘Bauds ‘cause I always rock ‘em, like they always tha
coolest pants on Earth! Thinkin’ about it: You also remind me of rapper Yung
Jedi, formerly known as J.Hu$tle, from New
Orleans, with your voice! My Rating: 4.3
05.
“Certified” Feat. The Gennie Mae Boyz
Anotha
beat from Da Gumbo Kooker! >>> Anotha pure, southern-soundin’ beat!
Nice hook, too, strictly “certified!” Tha 1st verse sounds good;
and, you got, “A bald head,” with, “No time fa dreads.” LOL, that’s
interestin’… Nice, catchy delivery ta start tha 2nd verse off, wit
how you “iz!” Your rhymes are definitely catchy and on-point! Seems
like you can neva go wrong, here! Hearin’ these boyz on tha 3rd
verse; feelin’ tha Big Pokey-like voice, includin’ tha good sound! My Rating: 4.2
06.
“Feelin’ Alright”
Gumbo
Kooker provides anotha one… >>> A laidback-kinda start; let’s see if
tha beat sounds can be really hot… So far, a lil’ plain, unlike tha otha songs…
Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and your rhymes are consistent and
make you feel good, fa tha southern rap world! Tha hook sounds catchy with tha
title repeatin’; not bad… Tha 2nd verse has a lil’ bit of betta
sounds, and it’s okay, so far… Tha 3rd verse sounds like you’re
enjoyin’ yourself with these rhymes… Yeah, “Shit stains;” unfortunate, in your
case. However, when it’s draws, who cares, right? You gotta be tha “shit,” ya
dig? Not bad fa a song, but some of these songs seem kinda long. Like, does
every single song have ta be at least four minutes long? My Rating: 3.8
07.
“The Weather Right” Feat. BluBlack, Sims & LB
Interestin’
collaboratin’, with Da Gumbo Kooker on tha beat! Don’t think I know tha final
dude on tha feature, or iz it who I think it iz? That would be funny if it’s
tha Word of South creator! >>> Okay, back to those good-soundin’
beats, and this iz 30 seconds longer than tha previous joint! Startin’ off wit
tha intro and 1st verse with BluBlack… Of course, soundin’ pure, as
always! Not used to him rappin’ on a laidback-type beat like this, but it works
well—real well! Tha hook sounds nice
with you on it; I can dig it… Really-fast rappin’? Oh, that’s Sims on tha 2nd
verse; almost thought it was you! He sounds okay on this, but it’s good to have
him… You’re on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse, soundin’ a
lil’ betta; I dig it… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it doesn’t sound
like tha Word of South dude? I dunno, but this a nice, feel-good verse… My Rating: 4.6
08.
“Fonked Out” Feat. Lil’ Chris
Anotha
different collaboration, wit BluBlack on tha beat! >>> Really feelin’
this beat start, here! Almost sounds like “fucked up,” on tha hook, lol; pretty
nice! Gotta dig this vibe! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’
through wit some great-soundin’ southern music, at its finest! I’m diggin’ tha
“ing”-soundin’ rhymes, at tha end of each line! Hearin’ this Chris dude on tha
2nd verse, and he sounds good; I’m diggin’ his voice and these
rhymes… I dunno about tha outro wit tha voice effects… Well, you only said
three sentences, so I won’t complain. My
Rating: 4.2
09.
“I-10 Muzik”
Nice
title, wit Da Gumbo Kooker on tha track! >>> A dry beat start, here…
Tha hook sounds catchy, though, through “I-10.” Nice start ta tha 1st
verse: “I’m sharp as a javelin!” Ouch, lol? A long-ass 1st verse?
Kinda gettin’ boring, even though I’m diggin’ this mysterious car ride? Yeah,
bad transitioning between tha verses; it just seems like a long-ass verse…
Finally, tha 2nd hook at 3:12; damn, that was long! My Rating: 3.6
10.
“I’m Locked Down” Feat. Teezy
Glitz
on tha beat, with this newbie on tha feature? >>> A part of me likes
tha beat, here; interesting sounds, between tha “din-din-din-din” sound, as
well as tha background beats! Tha hook ain’t too bad, either; too bad you were
“locked down!” Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and it sounds like
you’re stuck in tha cell… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad with tha
lyrics… I feel like this song, overall’s a lil’ boring. Like, nothin’ really
stands out, except for some of those beat parts. Either way, it ain’t that bad.
My Rating: 3.8
½time: I’m startin’ ta feel a
lil’ tired, but I gon try and continue this… I still have ta call you, as well;
let’s hope I’m still awake. But, I’m really feelin’ how you comin’ through wit
this CD! Your main producer, Da Gumbo Kooker, has some unique beats goin’ on,
here! Also, you have some shocking features that I didn’t expect you to have!
There’s a lotta quality gumbo on this CD! Overall, this CD’s currently worth a 4.2 fa
me, currently! Let’s see how tha 2nd ½ goes!
11.
“Champion Soulja”
Thought
it was “champagne” on tha title, this time, lol… Anyway, Coupe DeVille on tha
beat. >>> Ooh, I’m likin’ this beat! Now, this keeps my interest up! Nice job wit tha 1st verse,
and tha hook’s hella catchy wit how you keep repeatin’ tha title! Also, you
up’d your voice, a lil’ bit, to sound cooler! On tha 2nd verse, you
hint a lil’ bit of Juvenile in your voice, so that’s what’s up! Ooh @ tha “shit
stankin’, then it’s prolly pine!” Sounds anticipatin’! Tha 3rd
verse’s a lil’ interestin’, too; keep hangin’ in there! My Rating: 4.4
12.
“Ridin’ Cadillac”
Da Gumbo Kooker here, wit tha production! >>> Real quiet-sounding? It betta hold my interest fa a five-minute track! Tha 1st verse was only decent, but I’m feelin’ this hook; I’m likin’ tha “dawg” part, in tha hook. You sound pretty nice on tha hook, and it sounds like one of those catchy, undaground songs I’d hear on a radio show, or somethin’… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse, and it’s still a lil’ quiet… Tha 3rd verse’s quiet, too, and sounds so much like blah, blah, blah, blah, yada-yada-yada-yada; boring… Beat sounds nice at times, but this was too long fa me… Also, you were too quiet on tha verses. My Rating: 3.4
Da Gumbo Kooker here, wit tha production! >>> Real quiet-sounding? It betta hold my interest fa a five-minute track! My Rating: 3.4
13.
“Suzanna”
Da
Gumbo Kooker continues… >>> Sounds good fa a song about a female… I’m
diggin’ tha beat, here, as well as how you showin’ her luv on tha 1st
verse. Tha hook sounds catchy; I feel like it’s just a regular song fa me, with
this name throughout tha hook… Tha 2nd verse wasn’t too bad, either;
feelin’ it… Tha 3rd verse was quick; not bad… My Rating: 3.9
14.
“Whisper Kisses”
And,
again, he continues doin’ tha tracks… >>> On tha laidback side, here;
decent start, but at least it’s not too long… Tha hook’s only aight; tha otha
hook was way-catchier! Tha 2nd verse’s ehh—just okay. Also, tha 3rd
verse’s only decent fa me, too; glad you’re storytelling, though. There’s
nothin’ wrong wit any of this; it’s just, I get bored fast, at times,
especially when I’m tired. My Rating: 3.5
15.
“Shake Somethin’” Feat. Delwin The Krazyman
Why
this feature? Lookin’ forward to skippin’, with DGK on tha beat, again!
>>> Sounds like a betta laidback joint, here. Kinda sounds like some
old Dope Celebrity Records-kinda music on tha hook, here, wit how you sound;
nice, ova this laidback beat… Okay, with me havin’ to get up at 3:10 AM,
tomorrow, I’m just skippin’ Delwin’s 1st verse! No need fa me ta
waste a minute on someone who called me 16 names on Twitter, only ‘cause I told
my own opinion! Anyway, here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’
through wit some okay rhymes; they’re only okay, fa me. At times, you also hint
tha voice of C-Murder, too, when it comes ta how you deliver/sound on these
jointz. My Rating: 3.7
16.
“Why Battle
Freestyle”
Kemist
Trakz on tha track; let’s see, here… >>> Nice, instant start wit tha
beat and you; seems like tha DCF sound’s continuin’, fa me here… Tha
freestylin’s good; I dig it… My Rating: 4.1
17.
“Du Thangz” Feat. Shairbliss
Da
Gumbo Kooker, once again; I’m likin’ how tha title’s spelled… >>> More
laidback music, as this 2nd ½ of this CD continues… Beat sounds
pretty nice on tha 1st verse, as well as your okay rhymes… Tha hook
sounds a lil’ catchy wit how you deliver tha hook; I’m feelin’ it. Tha 2nd
verse ain’t that bad, but I’m gettin’ bored, quickly… And, wit tha 3rd
verse, “30 years in tha game…;” see, I was right when I said somethin’ about
bein’ “30,” or somethin’, lol. But yeah, an okay 3rd verse, too…
Almost sounds like you’re talkin’ to yourself, when you’re like, “That’s
[insert word].” My Rating: 3.6
18.
“Parle Kosmopolitan” Feat. Leslie
Let’s
see, here, with this Glitz production… >>> Beat’s a lil’ faster, with
an older-soundin’ vibe; sounds like we’re in Hawaii? Catchy hook; feelin’ tha Leslie girl
in tha background, too! Tha 1st verse’s good, too; I’m diggin’ how
you comin’ through this time! Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, either;
feelin’ what you bringin’ to tha table, wit this Hawaiian-soundin’ track… My Rating: 3.8
19.
Signing Off (Interlude)
>>>
Nice outro. My Rating: N/A
20.
“Let’s Cruz” Feat. Renee
Got
anotha Gumbo Kooker beat, here… >>> Figured that a laidback vibe would
end this off… Tha beat’s pretty catchy, and I’m feelin’ how you singin’ tha
hook… Tha 1st verse ain’t bad, but it ain’t nowhere near tha kinda
excitement I had while reviewin’ tha beginning of this CD! Decent when tha
Renee girl joins you, but I’m tryin’ my best to stay focused, right now… Hearin’
just you on tha 2nd verse and it’s aight, too… Sorry, but I feel
bored, once again. My Rating: 3.5
21.
“She’s The One” Feat. Bobby V
I
dunno about tha sellout feature, here…; bonus track? Choppin’ it up witcha on
Facebook and you said it was. No wonder why tha length of tha CD went over! >>>
Same producers as DJ Infamous’ “Double Cup” song, here; I like your intro… Tha
1st verse ain’t too bad from you, here. Hearin’ Mr. V on tha hook,
and it’s ehh; he neva impresses me when I hear him on tracks. And, he always
randomly appears on CDs I review; I dunno why. Tha 2nd verse’s
aight. I mean, damn, Bobby sounds like he’s constantly yearnin’ on tha hook,
wit tha title; ewe? Tha 3rd verse aight, too. Since my review’s
kinda negative fa this song, and it bein’ a bonus track, I won’t count it
toward tha final ratings. But, to rate it: My
Rating: 2.6
Overall: Was pretty good, at
first, but then, too much laidback shit. Like, I believe tha whole 2nd
½ of tha CD was laidback? It’s not like it was terrible, but some of tha shit
that started this CD off really impressed me! Either way, I think you’re great
at what you do! Props fa hittin’ me up about doin’ a review fa this CD; keep it
up!
