Breakdown of Frank Calhoune's Lyrics
"Get High"
"That's that Sahara tongue, baby."
- While recording tha intro, I just said what came to my mind. I referenced tha good weed I was shmokin' in tha studio to a "Sahara."
"I must get high; I must get high.
I must get high; I love to get high."
- While listening to tha beat, I came up with somethin' simple to go with how tha hook sounded. EQ Tha Misfit, tha producer, claimed I went tha same route as when Kevin Gates recorded with him on "Make 'Em Believe". He said I "like to ride tha beat, like Kevin."
"See, tha journey starts off wit da herb.
3.05.09, 9:59, all up on da curb."
- My verse iz in chronological order of some of my THC-based events. On March 5, 2009, at 9:59 PM, I had my 1st toke, courtesy of my cousin; it was around my block.
"I say it not a habit & best believe, I gotta have it."
- Having my 1st shmoke at Age 20--later in life, I fall less-victim to bein' addicted to weed. Though I love it & must "have it" for boosted euphoria, I don't let it stop me from productively engaging in my media activities.
"8.16.13, I'm in tha clouds, I gotta grab it."
- Despite havin' my 1st shmoke in 2009, it took over four years for my 1st high to occur. I wasn't around weed too much, durin' my younger dayz. My 1st & 2nd shmokes were 363 dayz apart, as my 2nd one was on March 3, 2010; I wasn't a good inhaler till long after. On August 16, 2013, at 6:50 PM, while with my cousins at Kings Park's Psychiatric Center's Building 7's top floor, I took three puffs of a blunt & experienced my 1st tyme bein' high. Literally, bein' approximately 12 stories high, I felt like I was "in tha clouds" & that I had to "grab it" (tha high)!
"New York cookies; gotta have them fuckin' edibles!
1.15.15, all chewed out; shit got critical!"
- My 1st edible came from bein' on Long Island, NY with one of my homeboyz, on January 15, 2015, at 11:28 PM. One of their homeboyz said to "eat tha whole cookie" (30 mg?); I ate it & wasn't sure why tha high wasn't kickin' in, right away. We only hung out about 40 minutes after I downed tha cookie & I then went to sleep. While tryin' to sleep, tha high was a creeper high. Everytyme I was in a laying position, I felt tha high tryin' to lock my position (e.g., sleep paralysis). In order for me to counteract tha sleep paralysis, I had to move my head a certain way. At first, I thought to myself, "I'll never experience with this, again!" Then, I took better precautions & now, utilize edibles as a way to be "productively fucked-up," I call it.
"Ridin' round all in my muthafuckin' weed pants.
5.18.16, it's 12! Shit; a drive-home chance."
- On May 18, 2016, at 3:26 PM, my homeboy picked me up to go on a drive; I had my weed pants on. Just a few minutes later, my boy was goin' 55 in a 35, passin' where I used to work at Dunkin'. Just 10 minutes after we departed my house, police followed us through construction & pulled us over at tha side of tha road. Half of tha vehicle was white, half was black; there were four of us in tha vehicle. Tha cops knew me from bein' tha Dunkin' Third-Key & were easy on me, despite havin' tha weed pants on. With me bein' tha only one in tha car with an active Driver's License, tha cops chose me to drive tha car to where my homeboy stayed.
"Productivity, longevity wit B-Teze!"
- B-Teze & I have been cool wit each other since November 1, 2011. He had added me on Facebook that day, due to my recent connection with Baton Rouge's DJ B Real. Tha "productivity" line comes from my love for bein' productive & tha "longevity" represents B-Teze & I's decade-long connection wit each other.
"12.15.16, I threw 50; was off tha heezy!"
- On December 15, 2016, it was Baton Rouge's Boosie Badazz's cousin, Doe-Doe's son's 4th birthday. I also was scheduled to review Florida DJing company, Promo Only's Dance Radio January 2017 edition, that day. Anticipated for tha review, at 3:26 PM, I threw back 50 mg of edibles. While tha high was tryin' to kick in, I decided to produce a track for Doe-Doe, which later became tha intro track to my album. Once tha high kicked in, I did tha review to critical acclaim & claimed tha whole afternoon/evening was "off tha heezy!"
"Gotta have yo weed & edibles; they keep me runnin'."
- Tha "weed" & tha "edibles" will "keep me runnin'," based off tha excitement they bring to me listenin' to music. It helps me be "productively fucked-up," as I say.
"4.20.89, my 4/20, at Age 100!"
- As I tried to keep tha chronological order of events goin', I was like, "Why not throw in a future event?" I chose April 20, 2089; seems so far away but on April 20, 2089, if still alive, I will be enjoyin' "4/20, at Age 100!"
"Big Dope Celebrity"
"Ooh!
They ready fa dis one?
Y'all ain't ready fa dis one."
- With tha way I teamed up wit Baton Rouge/DCF's Mike Rich fa "Big Dope Celebrity", I wanted to anticipate err-body, like it was 2008, when Baton Rouge legend, Nu$$ie, was alive! I recorded this one on September 10, 2020, five months before I was dubbed tha "White Nu$$ie". Now, I have to say, I'm glad I can bring those Nu$$ie vibes to everyone! Hell, I'm currently tha exact same age he was when he made "They Hate My", in 2007; shout out ta Lucky #32!
"This what I be (what I be); what I be (what I be).
What I be; big dope celebrity."
- How I define bein' a "Big Dope Celebrity" iz by bein' affiliated with Louisiana rap for tha past 13 1/2 years, since October 11, 2007. I've done just about 2,000 reviewz, released almost 1,000 commercials, aired over 1,000 underground Louisiana rappers on tha radio & my traits of longevity, consistency & determination in tha world of media help make me an underground celeb, still till this today!
"North 20-Nameth Street; I been around (been around)."
- Originally not revealin' which street of North 20th - 29th Street I was stayin' at in Baton Rouge, as of 2020, I decided to rap, "North 20-Nameth Street," to make tha people guess. I would stay wit my patna durin' my visits & as of February 2021, my patna moved away from North 26th Street. Still, for me to be "around" tha trenches iz a blessin'; I'm here fa tha undaground!
"Talkin' yo street gossip gon bring yo ass down (bring yo ass down)."
- Anytyme somebody wants to throw their "street gossip" (drama) my way, I shut them out; their "ass" gets brought "down" when they lose their opportunity to progress wit ya boy.
"Nu$$ie may done had so much respect (so much respect).
But I don't loan mines, homeboy; that's correct (that's correct)."
- In Nu$$ie & Baton Rouge's Savage (n.k.a. MobbGod)'s "They Hate My", Nu$$ie raps, "I got so much respect, I could loan you some." When I previously lent "so much respect" to people in tha past, I would always get taken advantage of. Now in my 30's, I choose to only utilize my valuable energy with tha right people.
"What accurate? Yo mind or Corona numbaz (Corona numbaz)?"
- This line I wrote can be a toss-up between not trustin' some1's "mind," like "Corona numbaz" theories or for me to accept tha person's "mind" over tha "Corona numbaz" theories.
"Been on green, like Mrs. Smith's ballin' cucumbers (ballin' cucumbers)."
- As of August 9, 2002, my mom became a "Smith". When I say, "Been on green," I don't just assume I'm rappin' about tha over-tiring money bullshit. As of September 2009, I try my best to go "green" with how I utilize tha environment. I referenced my mom, "Mrs. Smith" & "cucumbers"--"ballin' cucumbers," that iz--as a reference to her bein' an excellent cook.
"Frank Calhoune & Mike? Dope celebrity (dope celebrity).
Walk round BR hoodz like I got tha fuckin' key (got myself tha key)."
- Mike & I are both '80s babies in our 30's; I'm one day shy of bein' exactly three years younger than him, as I'm born on June 21, 1988 & he's born on June 22, 1985. We both come from tha Dope Celebrity Family era of 2000's Louisiana rap & we embrace how Nu$$ie would analyze himself as a "dope celebrity."
"Eat shit, take a shit; lemme ease my mind (lemme ease my mind)."
- When I wrote this line, you can look at it in two different wayz: "Eat shit" as tha "shit" I ate in jail, from October 23, 2019 - October 28, 2019; "eat shit" as in just using "shit" as a slang term for "stuff". Then, that leads to taking "a shit" to "ease my mind." That's a reference to how I joke around about an unusual pic-takin' trend that Baton Rouge's Q-Red On The Track started on March 30, 2010. He would pull his pants down, showin' his boxers & short/pants, expressin' that he was takin' "a shit." When I post a 'shittin' pic', I tend to use tha caption, "Got too much shit on my mind," to mix two definitions of "shit": lots of thoughts/problems & actual "shit."
"I only fucks wit potent shit, baby; that's how I grind (that's how I grind)."
- Bein' autistic, I luv tha potency of weed & edibles. It takes me back to October 25, 2016, when I tried my first CBD gummy; my mind was like, "Okay, just 45 minutes & it gon be on-n-poppin'! (Waits 45 minutes...) ...Nothin'?!" From there, I feel like CBD to me iz useless; I need that THC!!
"F-R-A-N-K-I-E (K-I-E).
You know me; big dope celebrity (big dope celebrity)!"
- Whether I'm "F-R-A-N-K" Calhoune or "F-R-A-N-K-I-E"ThaLuckyDog, err-body in Baton Rouge & a good portion of online browsers "know me" 'cause I'm a "Big Dope Celebrity!"
"I'm Edibled Up"
"THC (THC), that's what I need (what I need)!"
- THC has really helped me, when it enters my system. It may slightly help my back & anxiety but it mainly helps my autistic brain. I appreciate music & moments more, as well as it makes me communicate better.
"1st degree (1st degree), that murda weed (bing, bow, bow)!"
- I'm comparing tha THC highs that are potent & more effective fa me to a first-degree murda. They can knock you out to be nice & lazy to counteract bad energy but they can make you productively fucked up, too, if you wanted to str8-up focus.
"Head rush (head rush), medical (medical)!"
- My favorite part about bein' high iz tha head rush it gives; that's tha enhancement to my autistic brain. Tha "medical" part iz me givin' props to tha medical legalization of THC, where I'm at.
"Dat's what it be when you on dem edibles!"
- Basically, tha three barz explained above iz my perspective on edibles--tha autistic perspective, that iz.
"I'm edibled up ('cause I'm edibled up), I'm edibled up (I'm edibled up)..."
- A person can be anything "up"--basically, any verb & then, tha "up". I chose to continuously repeat, "I'm edibled up," due to that was tha phrase that made me define how it feels to be fulla dem edibles.
"Up! Up! Up! Up! Up! Up! Up! Up! Edibled up."
- I came up with tha beat drop & vocal-chopping, right after I recorded my parts. I was like, "Somethin' uncommon needs to stand out; I'mma take four barz of tha beat, paste it, maybe toy around with tha last bar's distortion & add vocal chops to fuck wit peoples' heads!" I made a melodic vocal drop, using tha syllables (from my best memory), "Med-eh-be-up, med-eh-be-up; med-eh-be-up, med-eh-be-up," to go with tha bar's melody that I came up with. Tha syllables were taken from tha words "medical," "be" & "up"; I decided to keep tha "up" parts, durin' tha 3rd bar of tha drop, to switch up tha vocal-chopping & to make tha listener feel like they were "up"! Tha dragged-out "edibled up" part, on tha 4th bar of tha drop, I came up with by makin' tha listener feel like they were in a slow-motion zone or somethin'.
"Chompin' on dat chiggy-chiggy-chocolate (*Chomp*)."
- When you get to chompin' on dem edibles (e.g., chocolate, Rice Krispies, etc.), it may be a lil' odd with tha tasting but tha effect shows its side 30 - 45 minutes later!
"Pass me tha drippy-drippin' water, like a faucet."
- After bein' high for at least an hour, tha edibles dehydrate you. Tha "water" helps counteract dehydration & I compare tha "drippy-drippin' water" to a "faucet," due to you need frequent drip & drops of water.
"Nothin' but energy, fuckin' wit dat boy, Level (here he go, again)!"
- I luv showcasin' my "energy" & when you apply your passion into whateva, that full-forced "energy" comes out! I gave "Level" a shout-out, on tha verse, due to since February 16, 2008, when I first heard Level, I have always channeled his energetic wayz into my lifestyle.
"Mysterious thoughts, till you down an edible!"
- "Thoughts" can be "mysterious," as tha "edible" trips you can experience can be filled with euphoria, bravery & goals to set. Also, if you're tryna counteract negative energy that had occurred right before you decided to "down an edible," your bravery/risk-taking mind may strengthen; you can feel invincible & focused on what you wanna do.
"Aura-rising in da sky-yi-yi (*Vroom*)..."
- I hyphened "aura" & "rising" together to express not just euphoria but an "aura-rising" moment that's "in da sky". This iz equivalent to your head bein' in tha clouds, just bein' surrounded by tha "aura."
"Block out demons just ta get my life by-yi-yi..."
- Like I explained earlier, you can counteract tha negative energy so you can "get [your] life by!"
"My brain, enhanced communication (*Swish*)."
- THC helps my autistic brain; I used to always suck at communication till December 19, 2007, when Kenner, LA DJ, Jimmy the DJ, had a 20-minute conversation wit me about music. Throughout tha years since, I've built my communication skillz significantly.
"Only got my mind when you keep it in rotation."
- If I'm gonna build my consistency up, as far as what I'm passionate about, tha high has to ALWAYS stay "in rotation!" That's what keeps "my mind" active 'cause havin' a brain that will always be active will keep you awake & alert.
"That Vibe (I'm Jiggin')"
"I feel it in my leg (I feel it in my legs).
Fa da purp, I gotta beg (fa da purp, I gotta beg)!"
- I don't necessarily "feel" tha "purp" go "in my leg." What I do feel iz tha "vibe" it brings to my brain & from there, "my" legs either become productive to engage in activities or "my" legs relax in a sleep paralysis-type mode.
"I think I know it's tyme (I think I know it's tyme).
Fa you, me & err-body ta find...
That vibe, I'm jiggin' (I'm jiggin'); that vibe, I'm jiggin' (I'm jiggin')."
- It's important for a person to "find" what I call, "That Vibe". Once you "find" tha correct "vibe," your self-esteem should be promising. By rappin' "That Vibe (I'm Jiggin')" 8x in a row, it's to showcase a Baton Rouge style of energy, on a hook. Anytyme you hear a hook--typically, tha 2nd 1/2 of tha hook--with tha same thing repeated fa four barz, that's when you know you're at tha top-notch level of energy!
"Please, please, please, go on & pass me da purp!
'Cause my brain-a need a lead & my body need dat work (work)!"
- When I was younger, you had your exciting music growin' up; you had your exciting moments; you had certain people alive. Now that life's level of difficulty has increased for me bein' at Age 32, tha level of excitement in how you treat a moment sadly decreases. In order for me to feel euphoric by a moment that I really wanna appreciate, it's important fa me to _beg_ for tha "purp." That way, my "brain-a" get "a lead" of enhancing my Asperger's Syndrome "& my body" can be more vulnerable to exercisin' & productive activities; gotta put in "dat work!"
"That vibe, I'm jiggin'; that vibe, I'm jiggin'.
That vibe, I'm jiggin'; that vibe, I'm jiggin'."
- Just like with my previous single with Level, "I'm Edibled Up", I wanted to have every set of 3rd & 4th barz repeat tha catchiest part of tha hook. With that bein' said, continue to find "That Vibe" & jigg!
"Yum, yum, yum; I really need them edibles!"
- When I say, "Yum, yum, yum," in reference to "them edibles," most of tha tyme, I have a sensory issue with them. I believe tha weed butter makes me gag, if I taste it. Certain foods like macaroni & cheese I choose not to breathe out my nose, while eatin', due to tha taste. Needless to say, tha "yum, yum, yum" iz a reference for excitement to devour "edibles."
"Zonin' out & feelin' dumb, mane; don't need a settle bill (bicky-bill)."
- Whether I'm "zonin' out" or "feelin' dumb," I "don't need" to "settle" my energy/perseverance.
"High all mo'ning, in tha noon & tha night (night)!"
- I'm no stranger to bein' "high" any tyme of day.
"Mouth be foamin' fa da groove & tha might (huh!)!"
- For my "mouth" to "be foamin'" iz just anotha reference to my anticipation of tha highs. "Da groove" bein' either listenin' to music or bein' involved in a musical event; "tha might" iz tha feeling of invincibility & power your brain has, while high.
"Sims & Lucky Dog partyin' every day (day)."
- Both Sims & I enjoy gettin' high any tyme of "day." Durin' my September 6, 2020 interview wit Sims, he mentioned somethin' to tha effect of, "It can be 3:00 in tha morning, they'll be a party in New Orleans & I'll go." As far as myself, I feel like I'm tha life of tha party. Music has been playin' in my head non-stop fa tha past 21 years--since Spring 2000--so tha party neva stops wit me!
"I'ont wanna be a hog but pass da fuckin' hay!"
- This line's just an expression for me needin' tha "hay" (purp).
"Cougherlude"
"When I take a hit...
...I enhance."
- "Cougherlude" iz tha combination of an interlude & skit. I didn't wanna make just a plain-ole skit or a plain-ole interlude; I wanted there to be a catch that only I would provide. I produced tha track without any actual sounds, in Pro Tools & just wanted to see what it would sound like with coughing as a beat. Basically, with tha way tha 1st verse iz written, every odd-numbered bar stops toward tha 2nd 1/2 to deal with coughin'; every even-numbered bar continues coughin' where tha odd-numbered bar left off & resumes tha lyrics durin' tha 2nd 1/2 of tha even-numbered bar. With that bein' said, "a hit" leads to my brain enhancin'.
"Productively fucked-upness...
...I get fance..."
- I consider bein' nice & high an easier way to be productive, while bein' fulla dat shit. Not to mention, my humor has an easier chance of makin' me "get fance-y."
"...-y but on my 3rd...
...sharp, like a lance."
- A "3rd" hit of weed (bowl, blunt, pen, bong, geeb, etc.)'s potency makes my surroundings feel nice & "sharp, like a lance."
"A 4th feel like shmoke herds...
...all in my pants."
- A "4th" hit & you feel tha "herds" of "shmoke all" through your body.
"Inhale; choke, toke, exhale..."
- Just a lil' interlude part of tha 'interlude medley,' as I call it; just simple shmoking techniques.
"My 20th hit...
Head to tha moon & mood--"
- For tha 2nd verse of "Cougherlude", I flip tha flow from tha 1st verse. Now, every odd-numbered bar begins with coughin'/ends with lyrics; every even-numbered bar begins with lyrics/gets interrupted by coughin'. With that bein' said, havin' a "20th hit" of weed does make your brain feel like your "head" iz "to tha moon." As far as tha "mood," well... (next set of barz)!
"Feel like a flick...
Autistic stoner dude been due--"
- (Continued from tha previous two barz's breakdown) With tha "mood" feelin' "like a flick," you sometymes "feel like" you're in a movie, when various events are goin' on around you. I'm tha "autistic stoner dude" & I've "been due" for... (next set of barz)!
"Fa A-List shit...
My answer ta all rules iz food--"
- (Continued from tha previous two barz's breakdown) I deserve all tha success that comes outta anything I invest my heart in. Between pre-production, production & losses of investing in my Autistic Stoner Rap, Vol. 1: A Trip To B.R. album, I spent $13,880.82, from March 7, 2017 - April 17, 2021! Not bad for an independent label called LuckyDogz Entertainment that's mainly just releases of my own projects! Only my intro track to my album was prepared in 2017 (December 15, 2016 - December 24, 2017, if you count me producin' tha track in 2016); tha rest were all from September 8, 2020 - April 17, 2021. With that bein' said, I hope this album brings me to some "A-List shit," in tha undaground or in bigger areas. Bein' nice & high, basically, tha "answer ta all rules iz food" because... (next set of barz)!
"Hungry than a bitch...
Vibe controller my fume of shoes..."
- (Continued from tha previous two barz's breakdown) THC makes you "hungry than a bitch!" As far as tha "vibe controller my fume of shoes" line, one of my pairs of "shoes" has weed & a lady blowin' shmoke fumes outta 'em. Tha "shoes" of mine control tha "vibe"; people do dig 'em! It also can connect to tha last line, due to walkin' on a "fume of shoes" leads to... (next bar)!
"A weed trip!"
- (Continued from tha previous bar's breakdown) By walkin' in them "shoes," it's like "a weed trip!" However, when I say, "A weed trip," here, it represents everything I rapped on this 'interlude medley'; trippin' good, basically.
"Weed Everywhere"
"Oh, I go duffy or Boosie; oh, I go duffy or Boosie."
- My original idea & title for "Weed Everywhere" was called "Lost Youth"; tha track was 'posed to be about things like Jigga Juice that were relevant in my dayz, growin' up & got "lost" in my "youth," somewhere. Tha line, "Oh, I go duffy or Boosie," was a chant I said in tha intro that sounded like it could get a crowd hype; I decided to keep it, due to its hypeness.
"Flares in tha air; weed everywhere!
Flares in tha air; weed everywhere!"
- When switchin' from "Lost Youth" to "Weed Everywhere", when Baton Rouge's Blu3Black sent me tha beat on March 2, 2021, I couldn't fit my original formula to "Lost Youth" on it. When askin' Blu3, he said, "Don't follow a formula, just do what your mind says." So, I came up with somethin' easy & energetic; like, why not put your "flares in tha air" to bring out a shmoke-a-thon chant called "Weed Everywhere"!
"Flare-flare-weed-weed; air-air-where-where.
Flare-flare-weed-weed; air-air-where-where."
- Not wantin' to repeat tha same thing over & over again, I decided to vocal-chop my vocals, from tha hook.
"I ripped tha bong (bong).
Hangin' wit Blu3Black (Black); forgot where I belong (long)."
- Rippin' "tha bong" creates a strong, instant effect from tha amount of THC inhaled. When leadin' it into "hangin' wit Blu3Black," I picture myself warpin' from rippin' "tha bong" on Long Island, NY--my hometown--to Baton Rouge, LA, forgettin' "where I belong." Although I did meet Blu3Black on June 24, 2017, we never met in person to complete "Weed Everywhere".
"Shid, my body ping-pong (pong).
Head high runnin' laps (laps) but my mind still 'ding-dong' (dong)."
- By havin' your "body" go "ping-pong," that's a reference to havin' an out-of-body experience. Tha "head high" can run "laps" in "my" head to distract me but "my mind" will always be "'ding-dong'" (always alert).
"I'm dressed out da box; my drip game retardid!"
- Blu3Black collaborated with Baton Rouge group, Down Bad, on their single, "Out Da Box", in 2007; Blu3Black also released his solo track, "Retardid", in 2008. I referenced both tracks in this line to describe how I come through wit my fashion choices.
"So much ta cop; equip range be 'larmin'!"
- Between online stores, Louisiana shops & Florida flea markets, I feel like it's a feast fulla fashion "ta cop," to where my "equip range" (equippin' new outfits) "be" alarming, at any rate.
"Weed all on my ass (ass); I shit gas (gas)."
- A reference to tha weed leaves on my latest pair of boxers; I say tha "weed" iz "on my ass," so "I shit gas" (potent "shit"/"weed").
"Kushed out when I pass; I do my dance (dance)."
- Whether I shmell like kush or tend to look high, it's always good ta feel tha vibe & "do" a "dance."
"'Inhale, Inhale, Inhale, Inhale; Exhale, Exhale, Cough, Cough'"
- Utilizin' tha shmokin' techniques to flow on tha beat added some extra creativity to express my luv for tokin'.
"I shmiggy-shmiggy-shmoke good; I piggy-puff, pass..."
- What more can I say about this line? Just tryna be happy, funny & in tha "zizzone," I say!
"Good in any hood, dawg; made ta liggy-last..."
- Just like with my "Big Dope Celebrity" track, I "walk round BR hoodz, like I got tha fuckin' key!" It's anotha reference to my longevity in tha game & how much I've supported Louisiana artists, since October 11, 2007.
"Flare-weed-where-weed; air-weed-flare-flare.
Flare-weed-where-weed; air-weed-flare-flare."
- Not only did I vocal-chop my part in tha hook but I chopped it up differently for tha outro drop!
"'80s Babies In Our 30's"
"1980, 1981; 1982, '83, '84.
'85, '86, '7, '8, '9."
- On June 21, 2018, I turned "30"; on August 4, 2018, it was EDM DJ, Max Vangeli's 33rd birthday & I won my first-eva handpay at tha casino: $2,200.00! After I came back, while fulla dem edibles, I sent Max Vangeli an Instagram DM that we're "tha '80s babies in our 30's." Not only did he luv tha term but he supported tha vibe of bein' "high as fuck"; I applied tha vibe to how I felt about bein' an "80's" baby "in" my "30's". This intro line iz just showin' luv to all tha years of tha 1980's. Despite bein' recorded & released shortly after some "'80s babies" exited their "30's," I feel that those "'80s babies" now in their 40's can look back at tha good tymes of bein' an '80s baby "in" their "30's," courtesy of Franklin, LA's Killa McClain's & my energy!
"Whetha you '80 or '81, '2, '3, '4.
'85, '6, '7, '8, '9; oh, it's a go (aye!)!
We tha '80s babies in our 30's, ya heard me (aye!)?
Tha '80s babies in our 30's, ya heard me (aye!)?
'80, '81, '2, '3, '84.
'5, '6, '7, '8, '9; oh, it's a go (aye!)!
We tha '80s babies in our 30's, ya heard me (aye!)?
Tha '80s babies in our 30's, ya heard me (aye!)?"
- Just my way of comin' through on Baton Rouge's Lit G's beat of expressin' my luv fa tha "'80s babies in" their "30's"!
"Tha big tees, Girbauds all hangin' out wit da crease."
- Growin' up in tha 2000's, you had "tha big tees," tha "Girbauds" & "all" that; I wanted ta show luv to tha culture I grew up with.
"An '80s baby--tha shit I got; me? You'd wanna meet (wanna meet)."
- Throughout my 32 years of livin', I've had some pretty dope experiences in life. Even tho my autistic wayz gets overshadowed by tha so-called 'norm', if you do get ta know me, I'm that cool, undaground celeb "you'd wanna meet."
"Huh; and, that'll be all comin' out my 40's
& 50's, 60's, 70/80's, ya heard me?"
- Even tho we try our best ta hold on to our youth fa so long, I just hope I can always show signs of bein' a yungin. No matter tha age, I always wanna be cool with my autistic stoner style.
"Get crunk up in this ma'fucka! What?!
Say, hit yo dance up in this ma'fucka! Huh?!"
- Lots of music that I grew up to durin' high school & college was "crunk" & had a lotta dances to "hit." I was just applyin' tha energy they brought to tha table for me to utilize today.
"I got my Down Bad (Down Bad), my Handy (Nu$$ie!);
BluBlack wit da crack, you know, tha shit feel like a Grammy (shit feel like a Grammy)!"
- An "'80s baby" like me loves Baton Rouge underdogz like "Down Bad," [Lil'] "Handy," "Nu$$ie" & "BluBlack," just to name a few. To me, it's "like" my own Grammys.
"In my opinion, dem boyz-a stay-a winnin' (stay-a winnin').
Tha iPod be spinnin'; "So Whopped"? It's been a minute (so whopped wit it)!"
- "'80s babies" like tha Baton Rougers I grew up with always win, when I'm around. They enjoyed buku play on my "iPod," throughout college & Down Bad/Young Gregory's 2008 single, "So Whopped", was one of tha biggest undaground tracks I ever heard from Baton Rouge.
"Say, Killa '82; Lit G two from '86 ('86).
And, I be '88, out da gate; dat crazy shit (dat crazy shit)!"
- Real "'80s babies" like tha ones on tha track, here, express their ages, birthdayz & birthyearz. That's how I was able to express these two barz, right chea (that rhymed).
"'80s babies, stand up (aye!); this our anthem (this our anthem)!
Be proud of who you are & put yo muthafuckin' handz up (put yo muthafuckin' handz up (put yo handz up))!"
- Anotha two barz of me expressin' how much I luv bein' an "'80s" baby (you should, too, if you're born between January 1, 1980 & December 31, 1989)!
"'80, '81, '2, '3, '4...
'5, '6, '7, '8, '9; oh, it's a go... (aye!)!"
- Need I say more? Just let tha years of tha decade echo on!
"Okay"
"Okay.
Toke hay."
- For "Okay", I collaborated with Down Bad member, Lawd Cheezus (f.k.a. Terror a.k.a. Cheez). One of his signature sayings iz "nigga, okay"; in a grimy voice, he holds both syllables in tha word "Okay." I wanted to pay homage to Cheez, especially bein' an '80s baby in they 30's, like myself. So, I took on to say my rendition of tha word "Okay" & even rhymed it with "toke hay," to express my luv for good bud.
"When tha world don't seem right or okay (okay).
I play my own rules for success (21!)."
- On December 11, 2020, at 11:48 AM, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer; aside from her cancer, since October 26, 2018, I've been havin' problems with my lower back. I wanted to make an upbeat song dedicated ta tha both of us defeatin' our painful demons. I look at life like dis: With everythang goin' wrong in "tha world" today, "I" have to live by "my own rules," in order to achieve "success."
"When I wanna get high, I toke hay (toke hay).
& be only 'bout what's best (bicky-best)."
- Gettin' "high" helps me escape from all tha negativity in tha world; I really "only" want "what's best"--"bicky-best," that iz!
"This world ain't okay. (okay).
It need some help; it need some help.
My world ain't okay (okay).
I play it by tha hand that I was dealt (flush!)."
- Basically, these four barz are like a synonym of Bars 1 - 4, in tha hook.
"Strengthen from tha pain; up & down, up & down.
You gotta learn tha game, so it can echo wit its sound (echo wit its sound)."
- Tha 1st bar in my verse iz a reference to me exercisin' every day. Though my mom's only 86 pounds, I try to reflect my good, productive energy back at her as best as I can. This way, we can obtain tha strength we need. Once you "learn" how to win "tha game," you can "echo" your success on to others. That's what I'm tryna do wit my mom's condition; just keep believin' it'll get better!
"Consistency for tha gain; move around, move around (left, right).
Tha only way it lame's by ignorin' & you frown."
- It's all about havin' "consistency," in order to "gain" past tha pain. If you choose to ignore defeatin' your problem & frown, you're gonna lose to your battles!
"I sense it in yo mind; you need a tenor vibe.
I am tha workin' image, like a fuckin' MRI (fuckin' MRI)."
- Tha 1st line, here, iz me tryna detect my mom's "mind" that she needs a song or somethin' to get her through tha day. Now, as of April 15, 2021, I've been takin' a walk fa 25 minutes, every day. I use weed & listenin' to music to help motivate me to get through tha repetitious activities it takes to make my body betta. If Mom could follow my leading wayz, she can make herself stronger, physically & mentally. Tha "MRI" reference I make iz not only a reference to her cancer but a way I compare myself, as a person, as a "workin' image."
"Tha cancer in a bind; it killin', like a crime.
Just know dat you'll be fine & you will shmoke it, like some pine (shmoke it, like some pine)."
- I didn't wanna come off sad & emotional about my flow/lyrics; I want Mom to know there's a light at tha end of tha tunnel. As of April 20, 2021, she's successfully gettin' through her chemotherapy & her Stage 2 cancer has shrunk to a smaller outcome. When I say, "You will shmoke it, like some pine," tha "shmoke it" term iz referencing her strength to easily win her battle. My mom doesn't shmoke weed (THC or CBD); just "cancer" sticks (cigarettes).
"Appetite & health equals recovery.
Factor right & flex equals longevity.
Neva miss a day; tha pain'll kiss yo ass.
Don't feel old & gray; this shit ain't finna last (finna last)."
- Takin' tha right precautions will result in "tha" pain that'll "kiss" an "ass!" I also want to inspire Mom to not feel "old" at Age 60. There's always wayz to make life exciting; gotta keep her strong & active!
"This world ain't okay (okay).
It need some help (it need some help)."
- I thought it was cool ta do a pre-hook, since it fits well with tha song.
"Just relax & pray.
Tell dat demon, stress, you know you doin' well; fa'real!"
- Basically, just channel tha correct energy into your brain & you'll win, in tha end!
"Numerically Lyrical"
"AJ On Da Track make it pure, like some crack (crack)."
- On February 5, 2021, I met up with Baton Rouge's AJ On Da Track to pitch him a beat idea for a track I had in mind called "Numerically Lyrical". I told him that I was rappin' tha whole entire 32 barz back-to-back; our chemistry was awesome. While creatin' tha intro, I added this intro line that now solidifies itself as my own beat tag for AJ On Da Track's productions that I'm on. I also am awarding him with tha tag to use for anything he wants his heart to.
"April 13, '99, you got dat?"
- This iz AJ On Da Track's birthday; to go with tha theme of this song, I made sure numbers were represented. Basically, you know I had ta choose a birthday.
"6.21.88, Tha Calhoune."
- My birthday.
"2.12, autistic day; thought I was doomed."
- On February 12, 2001, at Age 12, I was diagnosed with autism. My mom claimed to have cried that day, after I was diagnosed; it was news to tha family. We didn't know how well I was gon evolve; even tho it took tyme, I have ta say, I evolved great!
"One plate = two plates; we both eat."
- I originally wanted Baton Rouge's Boxx The Hungry Genius to rap tha same vocals as mine, in tha background. However, he turned tha track down after he claimed he "doesn't let anyone ghostwrite for" him. That's where I put tha "two plates" reference of "one" equaling "two," to express that I look out fa my people; "we both eat."
"One minute = too late; we note beat."
- "One" thing that irritates me iz a person's tardiness. Especially buildin' a work ethic while workin' at various places, bein' "late" does affect & leaves a bad effect to tha tasks. By noting tha tardy one's "beat" attitude of tiredness, it's good to bring tha awareness to them that they can do betta.
"Own 32 years = 32 barz."
- I dedicated my age to tha amount of "barz" I wanted to spit on tha track.
"Manage havin' no fears = 32 parz."
- This line iz a reference to scoring a par in golf all "32" tymes, based off of "no fears." Yeah, golf may have a multiple of nine holes but look at tha "32" as "32" consecutive "parz."
"Barely sheddin' a tear, mane; we don't feel darts."
- If an actual number doesn't appear in a line, I use "a" or "tha" as a way to express tha number one. With me bein' brave, I don't shed "a tear," so I "don't feel" anything; I use "darts" as an object to express pain.
"Switch outta fo gears; past & future parts."
- If you're with some1, they have two "gears" & you have two, as well: "past & future."
"1998: Birthdayz, seen a far."
- When I was in elementary school, on November 12, 1998, at Age 10, I wrote down everybody's "birthdayz" I knew. For acquiring such knowledge at Age 10 to remember "birthdayz" was only tha beginning of my ever-growing, autistic mind!
"Mind on 100 quick; deemed a star."
- Always keep your "mind on" maximum ("100" (percent)); you'll win, in tha end!
"A 3.5, it go, "Flick!"; a blunt's tricks."
- I made tha number to focus on "3.5," here & based it off of how much I luv shmokin' weed.
"You pussy not ta take a fuckin' lick; 666."
- I utilized "666" as a way to describe my troubles of dealin' with a "pussy" who chose "not to take a fuckin' lick." Instead, they called tha cops on me & neva approached me in person about my motive of tryna take what I deserved (187 unpaid videoz).
"Valued at buku-buku points; 1,000."
- Gotta value your hard work ethic!
"Shmoke & -in' on all due joints; 2000's."
- When I rap "Shmoke & -in'," it's a quick way to show two different tenses: present & future. Tha "-in'" iz just a shorter way of sayin', "Shmokin'," since I include tha future tense of to "shmoke." As far as tha "joints," I follow up with "2000's" as a way to compare my luv of tha "2000's" era to "shmoke...all due joints" (tracks).
"Many don't give up 10 coins; not a dime."
- Really, people "don't give up" $0.10!
"Live life every day of noise; 365."
- Really, "365" dayz a year, just counteract tha "noise" that may get in your way.
"Find tha hidden gem; it's your 1st friend!
Only one pen; value burst then!"
- When I came up with finding "tha hidden gem," I referenced tha "hidden gem" as obtainin' a video clip of me sayin' this song's title. In tha song, I don't say, "Numerically Lyrical"; I hope one day that obtainin' a video clip of me sayin' tha title can be "your 1st friend." By "1st friend," I mean that it's somethin' that can be worth lots of money, one day. Tha "only one pen" part means that I'm tha only human being that can say, "Numerically Lyrical" & it be worth somethin'. That's how its "value" bursts "then!"
"How edibles think; one verse-cued zen!"
- On January 28, 2021, just eight dayz before AJ On Da Track produced this beat for me, I was fulla "edibles," just picturin' "how" they would "think," on tha track. With it bein' "one verse-cued zen," it's a "zen" (stoned-out environment) of "one verse" that's been "cued," right here.
"Success will sink into a penned...
boy named Calhoune; I'm one sent box...
that rap owl tunes wit 40-'cent pot...
in my fowl fumes of 30's-meant drops!
One run-on sentence in penned knots!"
- Keeping my interesting flow goin', I decided ta use a run-on sentence as a way to spit some rhymes. One sentence, which iz usually one bar, iz a whopping four barz, here. I'm basically rappin' about tha "success" that "will sink into" my pockets, one day. These "owl tunes" that I rap gon be tha catchy ones, in tha underworld of tha undaground. Tha "40-'cent pot" iz "40-"percent "pot"; I just take one syllable outta "percent". It's also a reference to tha potency level I've reached in tha best weed I've shmoked, roundin' up. Tha "30's-meant drops" part iz a reference to my age group, "30's."
"Baby of tha 1980's; always gotta get it early!"
- I'm known ta be a leader; I luv my "1980's" upbringin'.
"Rearview feelin' mighty hazy; future 2020's be pearly!"
- While tha past was a bitchy haze to get through, I just know that this decade of "2020's" gon be mighty "pearly"; I can feel it!
"5.28.03 rap baby; out tha mud iz how we made, gee!"
- On May 28, 2003, I rapped for tha 1st tyme; I done came a long way since!
"R.I.P. Big Figgy-Fancy; out at 37's crazy!"
- It was tha 10th anniversary of Baton Rouge's "Big...Fancy"'s death, when I wrote tha lyrics. To know that I'm 32 & he was "out at 37," to me, iz mindblowin'. I can't believe I'm less than five years away from his last age! I also wish that he could've lived longer, if he controlled his weight & dialysis.
"Ten knuckles pop off (pop off, pop off)!
Ten! Like Bumpy Knuckles' bop broth (bop broth; biggy-biggy-broth)!"
- Boxx The Hungry Genius iz managed by Mississippi/Baton Rouge's "Bumpy Knuckles." "Knuckles" was networkin' wit me, back when Fancy was still alive; I wanted to pay homage to "Knuckles," somehow. I combined "knuckles" with "pop off," referencin' when you crack your "knuckles." "Pop" It "Off" Promotions iz also tha name of "Bumpy Knuckles'" management services. As far as "Bumpy Knuckles' bop broth," well, I've never had any "broth" from "Knuckles," before; I just said some shit to rhyme nice. I bet he does make "bop broth"--"biggy-biggy-broth," that iz!
"Fo-Hundred 'grees; hot coughs (hot coughs, hot coughs)!
That's 32 not-soft (not-soft, not-soft)...
Barz!"
- I compared my THC-based "coughs" to be "hot," just like "fo-hundred" degrees. I also ended tha track wit how I congratulated myself on "32 not-soft barz," all featurin' a numerical reference!
"Roll"
"I'm huffin', I'm puffin'; I'm rollin' to da finish line.
Best you play tha leader role & you-a shine in yo tyme (fuckin' right)."
- These two barz are tha 1st barz I composed for this album of mine, back on September 8, 2020. I'm basically showin' determination in bein' a strong leader; it's "tyme" to "shine!"
"I'm rollin' ta my goalz off dem Q-Red keyz (Q-Red On The Track)."
- Though I provided a lotta excitement to roll "ta my goalz off dem Q-Red keyz," I wasn't tha happiest while recordin' my vocals. Recorded at Baton Rouge's Lil' Bone's Bonefide Music Group on September 9 & 10, 2020, I was sober durin' tha whole process. One of Bone's patnaz had a blunt & I neva got ta hit it, due to he said he was "too high" & that I locked myself in tha studio to brainstorm tha vibe of tha track. Also, I provided too much excitement fa "Q-Red"; his attitude was too bossy & I was surprised tha track came out excellent. Still, he did an excellent job producin' & rappin' fa me. I even wrote tha hook & only wanted him ta adlib; he later chose to take tha whole hook.
"Mane, tha south my sight ta see till I find what I need (bow!)."
- My goal iz to move to "tha south," in tha future. Fa now, it'll be "my sight"; sooner or later, I'll "find what I need," in "tha south"!
"Bow-bicky-bow, bow; tha land, B.R. (you know)."
- Love "B.R.," a.k.a. Baton Rouge & their music culture!
"I'm linkin' like I'm Lincoln, bruh; my high ta see afar."
- Tha way "Lincoln" linked his way through all his bright connections iz how I feel about "my high" that's "afar," in every future moment!
"Q-Red On The Track; gotta make this bitch a hit (make this bitch a hit).
Say, he need ta wear dem Jz 'cause he runnin' dis bitch (bow!)!"
- I'm just showin' how excited I was ta collab wit Q-Red, here, tho later cringing that I recorded AND wrote my lyrics sober!!
"Gas? I shmoke dat & I wear dat!
& I chomp dat; bitch, you know I tear dat (bow!)!"
- I luv how my excitement just continues, continues, continues! These two barz are just references to me shmokin' & eatin' edibles, frequently.
"This gon be tha jam that they jammin' down Plank (Plank).
Florida, all down Airline; it's time ta rank (rank)!"
- For those that don't know, "Plank" [Road], "Florida" [Boulevard] & "Airline" [Highway] are all main roads in Baton Rouge. Baton Rouge iz like one loop of a 20-minute trip; every spot loops around, somehow. You don't have to travel far, while doin' anything in Baton Rouge. As far as tha rankin', I follow it up in my next four barz.
"Tha temp finna hit triple digits in dis bitch (triple digits in dis bitch)!
Gotta use yo fuckin' brain when you tryna hit a lick (when you tryna hit a lick)!
I say, tha temp finna hit triple digits in dis bitch (triple)!
Gotta use yo fuckin' brain when you tryna hit a lick! Bow!"
- While down in Baton Rouge durin' my recording sessions, from September 1 - 15, 2020, most dayz were high 80's - high 90's; heat indexes reached over 100 degrees! That's where I came up with tha "temp finna hit triple digits" line. As far as tha "use yo fuckin' brain when you tryna hit a lick" part, it's a reference to how I tried to "hit" my "lick," when tryin' to obtain what I deserved fa my unpaid 187 videoz that I got in trouble for.
"I Hit Tha Lotto (4 G3)"
"You eva feel like when you just growin' up & just wonderin', I wanna hit tha muthafuckin' lotto, today!
You know, you can make that happen; neva back down from a challenge & just do it. It's like my boy, G3 Lotto."
- "I Hit Tha Lotto (4 G3)" iz a tribute song dedicated ta Baton Rouge's G3 Lotto. G3 Lotto was tha 1st artist I eva met in person that was killed. Shocking enough, I met G3 Lotto on June 22, 2017 & he was murdered exactly three years later, on June 22, 2020, on Baton Rouge's Plank Road. Despite this bein' a tribute song, I still decided to keep tha energy up & party as if G3 Lotto was still with us; his brother, D-Ray Exclusive, produced & collaborated with me on tha track.
"Colors finna shine.
& lovers do tha crime."
- My "colors" iz a reference to my autistic "colors." With tha "lovers do tha crime" part, I referenced that to my troubles. If it's somethin' we love doin', it ends up that we "do tha crime" behind it, in tha end.
"No matter what tha fee.
We do it fa G3 (now, lemme hear ya fuckin' say...)."
- "No matter what tha" price iz, party like "G3" was still alive!
"'I hit tha lotto-lotto (I hit tha lotto-lotto);
I hit tha lotto-lotto (I hit tha lotto-lotto)!
I hit tha lotto-lotto (I hit tha lotto-lotto);
I hit tha lotto-lotto (I hit tha lotto-lotto)!'"
- I wanted to combine makin' a tribute to G3 Lotto with tha actual "lotto," for tha track; I wanted this to be a "lotto" anthem, as well.
"G3 was a gee, Baton Rouge-bound.
Neva backed or downed; always knew where shit be found."
- "G3" loved to "always" party & live a life of his own. No matter what came up, he kept it real & accomplished his goals.
"Loved pillz, purp & lean; 'Tha Party'.
Jiggin' all thru molly; -phoria be like, 'Good golly!'"
- His luv for southern opiods made me call him "Tha Party", in this track. Also, tha "good golly" reference iz just anotha way to express boosted euphoria from certain drugs.
"Too Exclusive M.O.B.;
Too Exclusive (Too Exclusive!)! Too Exclusive (Too Exclusive!)!"
- Not only did I wanna shout out G3's affiliates, tha "Too Exclusive" Mob, but I provided tha vocals to tha screamin' fans, as well ("Too Exclusive!").
"Always turnin' up; lotto-winning fulla luck.
Gotta -cate this one ta G3 Lotto; we got it out da muck!"
- Between "turnin' up" fa our boy & winnin' wit tha lotto, you gots to dedicate tha after-success of these tymes to "G3 Lotto"; he's why we're here!
"Fulla Dem Bitches Nah"
"Ooh; I feel like Diggy-Diggy-Down--Diggy-Diggy-Down Bad.
You know what it iggy-iggy-iz!
Got my boy, Kiggy-Kiggy-Kmac in dis bitch (hol' on (whole lotta Mac shit)).
Fa-Fa-Fulla dem bitches nah; I'm fulla dem bitches nah (fulla dem bitches nah)!
Yeah; fulla dem bitches nah (fulla dem bitches nah)!
You know what it iz!"
- For "Fulla Dem Bitches Nah", I was inspired to make a pill-poppin' song for tha full-on Jigga City effect of my album. On September 10, 2020, I stopped by Mississippi/Baton Rouge's Kmac's spot to interview him. While jammin' to his "I'on Pop, I Chew (Remix)", he was high off of jiggaz & lean, sayin', "I'm fulla dem bitches nah." From there, I used tha sayin' as a transition in my "Tha Louisiana Blockumentaries Trip #07" blockumentary & thought it'd be dope to collab wit Kmac on a track. While comin' up with tha track, I pictured some1 fulla jiggaz; I wrote & rapped tha track in their perspective. On February 9, 2021, while waitin' to go to my "I'm Edibled Up" videoshoot, I picked out tha beat & laid down my verse, earlier than I expected. Tha next day, I got with Kmac & he laid his parts down. Tha collab between tha three of us turned out to be "fulla" energy; it was definitely worth tha wait!
"Don't toss one; toss two, three, fo (whoo!).
Mix a lil' numerology? Body out tha do'!
At 12:48, toss two, by my code (de-de-double!).
Time multiplied by two by two by two fa two's big load."
- Tha idea behind tha "numerology" & takin' tha jiggaz a certain way, at a certain tyme, was somethin' I observed. Basically, if you only take "one," you have ta take it at 2:04, in honor of Baton Rouge's Infa Red's birthday tyme. If you take "two," you have ta take 'em at 12:48 because "1" x 2 = "2" x 2 = "4" x 2 = "8" & it's "two" tymes more than tha 1st dose. "Three" iz at 11:39 'cause "1" x 1 = "1" x 3 = "3" x 3 = "9" ("three" tymes more than tha 1st dose); "four" iz at 8:28 'cause it's Level's birthday tyme & "8" ÷ 4 = "2" x 4 = "8" ("four" tymes more than tha 1st dose).
"Ooh, you movin' like you fightin'.
Cool or blaze tha temp'ture height, then (height then).
Down Bad was always whopped (so whopped wit it, whopped wit it).
Tha town of Baton Rouge hot (so hot wit it, hot wit it)."
- Just like in "'80s Babies In Our 30's", I paid homage to "Down Bad" on this track, again, wit their "So Whopped"ness. I channeled tha vibe of observin' tha jiggaz wit how a person can't stop "movin'." Tha "cool" or "blaze" in tha temperature iz a reference to sweatin' from tha jiggaz. With "Baton Rouge" bein' a "town" that's "hot," it's in reference to tha temperature & how their crime rate iz.
"Jawz locked; my legs on steel. L-L-Legs on steel.
Tha Dolla Man bra-bringz tha feel; ka-ka-keeps it real."
- When someone iz fulla dem jiggaz, their "jawz" _lock_ & their "legs"/energy turns almost invincible, like tha "legs" are made of "steel." Also, shout out ta Baton Rouge's "Dolla Bill" [Da Last Man] fa producin' tha dope track!
"Kmac fulla all bitches nah; he fulla dem bitches nah.
& my sleepless vibes gon clown; they fa-fa-finna clown."
- For "Kmac" ta be "fulla" dem pillz, tha energy reflected to my observing of people on them jiggaz bein' up fa dayz. Outta 96 hours, I witnessed 86 of 'em bein' awake, durin' my observation.
"Nah!! He fulla dem bitches nah!
Nah!! He fulla dem bitches nah!
Nah!! He fulla dem bitches nah!
Nah!! He fulla dem bitches nah!"
- After recording my vocals fa Dolla Bill on February 9, 2021, tha next day, when I brought Kmac wit me, Dolla Bill needed four barz of me "talkin' my shit." Tha 1st thing that came to my mind? My observation of some1 really loaded off of jiggaz, screamin' with a mix of paranoia & happiness that Kmac "Fulla Dem Bitches Nah"!
"You Know What It Iz"
"And, you know what it iz (uh)!"
- Officially tha 1st beat I heard to write lyrics to, on September 7, 2020, though my finalized lyrics were composed three dayz later. After shmokin' that good, Louisiana weed, I had to channel tha right energy & perspective ta come through on, what I thought was, Infa Red's beat. However, tha beat was produced by tha BeatDemons. I based tha perspective on bein' able ta be one of tha only white boyz ta go through tha trenches wit Louisianimals.
"Mane, I know what it iz; I be feelin' ducked-off, huh!
Got me in da trenches wit li' Infa, feelin' mucked-off!"
- Since my troubles, I've been "feelin' ducked-off" with presentin' myself, where I'm at. That's why, I choose ta engage in activities "in da trenches," in Louisiana; "in da" ruins, on tha Northeast.
"And, I know what it do, when I'm comin' wit my crew, huh!
Preachin' out da blues, when I'm drummin' out da rules!"
- Though I ride solo a lot, "when" I do move around "wit my crew," it feels good to productively look out fa tha Louisianimals. My "rules" come from bein' able ta lead; you gon listen to my "blues"!
"Mane, I know what it be; freshest clothes on me, huh!
Catchin' wit a fee; precious goals I need!"
- I rock some of tha dopest fashion, thanx to tha '80s babies I'm inspired by. Any goal I wanna achieve, I achieve it, no matter tha "fee"!
"And, I know what it sound, when I'm shmokin' on da pound, huh!
Flyin' inbound, outbound, thru da town!"
- Gotta luv "shmokin' on" good weed! I've flown "inbound" & "outbound" to Louisiana a total of eight tymes, since March 26, 2017.
"Mane, I know what it read, when I hit 'em wit da facts, huh!
Waves be infrared, wit Infa Red, all on wax!"
- Just lettin' tha "facts" be known, courtesy of tha "waves" that "be infrared," when I rap "wit Infa Red".
"And, I know what it need, when I get 'em out dey greed, huh!
Crankin' up da speed, drippin' on 'em like I bleed!"
- To get someone "out dey greed" gon be a mission I'll have ta accomplish. Dealin' wit money-hungry people that are only about "all money in, no money out" don't sit well wit me. Either way, no matter tha fee, when I do crank "up da speed" & drip "on 'em like I bleed," I know my presence transitions into tha best moments in life.
"Consecutively, Consistently, Continuously"
"This how tha LuckyDog Calhoune be on 10.
Consecutively, consistently, continuously on 'em."
- Tha idea of "Consecutively, Consistently, Continuously" first came about while I was reviewin' Florida DJ company, Promo Only's Dance Radio March 2021 edition, on January 31, 2021. While reviewin' & givin' a perfect rating to EDM DJs, Vicetone & vocalist, Solly's "No Rest", I wrote:
"Most definitely, there will be 'No Rest' fa me, as I will consecutively, consistently, continuously be active (say those three 'C' words 5x fast! 'Consecutively, consistently, continuously'; 'consecutively, consistently, continuously'; 'consecutively, consistently, continuously'; 'consecutively, consistently, continuously'; 'consecutively, consistently, continuously'--just did it, tho it took a few tries)!"
"Consecutively, consistently, continuously droppin' (work).
Consecutively, consistently, continuously neva stoppin' (work).
Consecutively, consistently, continuously poppin' (work).
Consecutively, consistently, continuously fa'eva rockin' (work)."
- I wanted to create a hook that fit tha words "Consecutively, Consistently, Continuously" in one bar; I luv showin' off my quality traits!
"Once upon November 4th, tha LuckyDog was born (born).
Tha year was 2-Da-Double-2, up on every forum (forum)."
- On "November 4," 2002, I created my "FrankieThaLuckyDog" username on gaming message board forum, Neoseeker. Tha name represents my name, my luv for urban spellings ("Tha"), my luck & my favorite animal/previous favorite slang word in rap.
"Tha age turned into 19; tha Lou began to dorm (dorm).
Dorm into a potent, multi-media master storm (storm)."
- When I was "19," on October 11, 2007, my "Lou"isiana connection started, after I was scrollin' through Word of South's My Block forum at my 1st college, in Scranton, PA. From there, I utilized all my talents & am tha self-proclaimed "multi-media master."
"Actin', directin', promotin', photographin'.
Craftin' a blessin' I wrote by autographin'.
Countin', recordin', edit-documentin'.
Bouncin' a score I played by rock & ventin' (yeah)."
- With these four barz, I showcase 10 of my 20 talents in media. I love my gifted talents & I will continue to embrace 'em, to tha fullest!
"Grind, even if it like you runnin' low wit...
Tyme; confident in every line, like, whoa! Fit...
My dedication to your view on how I...
Find ta hear this said 5x & fast; now, I'm..."
- No matter tha "tyme," be "confident"; make 'em go, "Whoa!" Even tho I say tha title only 4x in tha hook, a typical tongue twister iz "said 5x & fast."
"Driptastic (Remix)"
"That gas!"
- On February 22, 2021, while on tha phone wit New Orleans' Skull Duggrey, I was expressin' to him at how frustrated I was about how some of my pre-production & production stages of my album were goin'. He then brought up tha idea to finally collab & told me, "What's tha 1st word that comes to your mind?" After thinkin' for a few seconds, I told him, "Driptastic." From there, I produced an idea for AJ On Da Track to enhance & from there, "Driptastic" was born. "That gas" iz a reference to shmokin' on dat good, if you ain't know!
"Zoom-doom-drip-drip; tune-tastic-tic (driptastic).
Tic-get-bloom-fit; tune-tastic-tic (driptastic).
Zoom-doom-drip-drip; tune-tastic-tic (driptastic).
Tic-get-bloom-fit; tune-tastic-tic (driptastic)."
- I decided ta use a vocal-chop to tha hook I made to come b4 tha hook. This way, it hypes up tha listener(s).
"Look at da tunic! (Dude! He...) Driptastic!
Go get da zoomin'! (Groovy!) Driptastic!"
- Most of tha lyrics in tha song expresses my luv for urban fashion; that's why I'm "Driptastic!"
"Spikes of doomin'! (Aye yo--ahh!) Driptastic!
Tha fit be bloomin'! (Say, whoa nah!) Driptastic!"
- Aside from my weed-based shoes, I have Louboutins that have spikes on 'em. That's why I vocalized a crowd by sayin', "Ahh!" Tha spikes be sharp! Also, of course, my "fit"; can't deny it!
"('Cough, Cough') Shmoke all 'parent thru da fit.
(Man, where you get yo clothes?!) Now, they all on my dick."
- No matter tha "shmoke," it's all about tha "fit" & how err-body be luvin' my "clothes!"
"('Drip, Drip') Expandin' style; ceiling drip.
(Yo, you betta watch his toes!) Too close; feel tha grip?"
- I luv to expand my "style" of how I wear my clothes & all that. Also, Bar 4 in this verse iz also dedicated to my sharp "toes!"
"Tha Calhoune & Duggrey. (That's what I wanna see!)
A mean mug, I neva see. (You all autistic, gee!)"
- Shout out ta [Skull] "Duggrey" fa linkin' up witcha boy! Glad I can be "all autistic" & not have ta worry about someone's dirty-ass "mean mug!"
"Respected, I betta be. (It all to da "T"!)
Driptastic, I'm gonna fiend. (Fresh to death tha key!)"
- All I want iz respect; gotta "fiend" fa anythang "fresh" that makes me look "Driptastic!"
"Fiendin' fa some clothes all ova my body.
('Drip, Inhale; Drop, Exhale') Tha pressure be foggy."
- Gotta have tha right "clothes," in tha mist of tha good-ole fog!
"Styles of tha puzzle 'cause tha impact whiplashin'.
Don't you hear da sound?! ('Drip, Drop') Driptastic!"
- My autistic "puzzle" colors iz my style that whiplashes peoples' minds; that's 'cause I'm "Driptastic!"
"F.W.R."
"Fuckin' well right, fuckin' well right.
When I co-sign, best believe, it's 'fuckin' well right!'"
- Whisperin' tha pre-hook as an intro hypes up tha listener(s). Tha term "fuckin' well right" comes from tha south, a signature sayin' of Killa McClain's. I decided to make it a song & collaboration wit him, after his frequent use of tha saying.
"Fuckin' well right!"
- While recordin' my verse to "F.W.R.", tha final bar on my verse goes, "I love ta shmoke & rip trees; fuckin' well right!" I decided to record tha 1st 1/2 of tha line while in tha process of tokin' on some weed & cough-rap tha 2nd 1/2 of tha line. From there, tha "fuckin' well right!" cough part was used as an addition to go with tha beat.
"Fuckin' well right, fuckin' well right.
When I co-sign, it's 'fuckin' well right!'
Fuckin' well right, fuckin' well right.
Ask me if I'd hit tha blunt? Fuckin' well right!"
- Basically, tha hook iz dedicated ta a strong "co-sign." Bein' tha autistic stoner rapper that I am, of course, I had ta mention "tha blunt" to "hit!"
"Tha motto I will follow: 'Fuckin' well right.'
I'm drippin' fa a towel? Fuckin' well right!"
- Always gotta live by a strong co-sign & stay driptastic!
"This title need no vowels; fuckin' well right.
I'm tha shit, I feel tha bowel? Fuckin' well right!"
- While tha acronym spelled out has four "vowels," makin' "fuckin' well right" an acronym as a title makes tha listener curious as to what it can be, on a 1st listen. As far as "tha shit," you gotta "feel" it, literally & not literally! "Fuckin' well right!"
"Unstoppable, always up there; fuckin' well right.
Autistic scars be cut here; fuckin' well right!"
- Good that I stay consistent & my "autistic scars" aren't physical; they're internal.
"Skull sharp as a bucks fair; fuckin' well right.
Neva park on my luck, scared; fuckin' well right!"
- My "skull" bein' "sharp" iz a reference to how shmart I am; tha "bucks fair" part refers to a bunch of deer/"bucks." With "my luck," I refuse to "park on" it bein' "scared," which means that I refuse to "park" myself in fear.
"Killa & AJ wit me; fuckin' well right.
This 'cess neva sit free; fuckin' well right!"
- Shout out ta "AJ" [On Da Track] fa producin' this one & "Killa" [McClain] fa collaboratin'. As far as my success, it definitely don't "sit free," as this album cost $10,155.82 to put together! That doesn't include any money I lost out, while investing. Needless to say, I really hope all my hard work does pay off, in tha end!
"LuckyDogz will kick Zs; fuckin' well right.
I love to shmoke & rip trees; fuckin' well right!"
- When my label, "LuckyDogz" [Entertainment] chooses to "kick Zs," that doesn't mean tha label's goin' ta sleep. That means that we "kick" tha "Zs" in they ass! They don't interfer wit tha hustle, ya heard me?! Also, there's that final line in my verse that I was talkin' about, earlier; "fuckin' well right!"
"Fulla Dat 70th"
"Say, mane...
When you just fulla dat, you know, anythang?
Purp, tabs, percs, dabs, 'bles, X?
Ya know what? Tonight..."
- Teamin' up wit Baton Rouge's 70th Street Carlos, a.k.a. Big Cheezy, I wanted ta dedicate a track ta him. I chose fa "Fulla Dat 70th" ta be about bein' addicted ta bumpin' Big Cheezy, despite bein' "fulla" anythang else.
"Fulla purp (fulla purp)! Fulla tabs (fulla tabs)?
Fulla percs (fulla percs)? Fulla dabs (fulla dabs)?
Edibles (edibles)! And, dat X (and, dat X)?
But tonight, best believe, I'm fulla dat...
70 Street (70 Street), 70 Street (70 Street)!
70 Stra-Stra-Street Carlos (Big Cheezy)!
70 Street (70 Street), 70 Street (70 Street)!
70 Stra-Stra-Street Carlos!"
- One of my earlier tracks I recorded, I didn't give myself enough tyme to study my flow; I basically made a basic-soundin' Baton Rouge track wit this one. Everything in Bars 1 - 3 of tha hook were 'posed to be presented as questions. However, ironically, tha actual shit I was actually on during tha recording process, I presented as exclamations.
"Big-ah-ha-ha-ha, ah Big Cheezy (Big Cheezy)!
Rollin' in da Liggy-Liggy Lac; we off da heezy!"
- My 1st bar of my verse, I wanted somethin' ta be outta tha ordinary. So, I decided ta rap as a "big" bad wolf or somethin', lol? With tha line about tha "Lac," as well as others in my verse, tha line iz inspired by a videoshoot "Big Cheezy" had on September 10, 2020, for his unreleased "Back Again (Remix)", shot by DC Visuals. It was when I met "Big Cheezy" & thought tha videoshoot was awesome.
"Headbang up & down, up & down, up & down (up & down)!
BR tha muthafuckin' town, fuckin' town (fuckin' town)!"
- Just enjoyin' yourself, while constantly listenin' to Big Cheezy, basically.
"Fulla dat Big 7; yeah, he drop dat fuckin' pressure!
Banga, afta banga, afta banga; time ta measure!"
- 70th Street Carlos may be known as "Big Cheezy" but he's also known as "Big 7"; nothin' but continuous bangaz from tha 23-year-old!
Wave yo yellow fuckin' flag (yellow fuckin' flag)!
Make tha people know they mad (know they mad, know they mad)!"
- Durin' tha "Back Again (Remix)" videoshoot, Los provided a yellow bandana/flag to those that attended tha shoot. I kept mine & have it as a souvenir for anything I film.
"Burn dat giga kush wit Big Los up in da mix (whoo!).
Mane, I need dat fuckin' hat; dat 777 fit (you know)!"
- Gotta luv tha vibe of bein' high wit "Big Los" all "in da mix" of your shuffled music! With tha "hat," Los has a "777" hat; in tha mist of his videoshoot, I took him to get drinks & he left his hat in my rental car. I put tha hat on & took a video clip of myself, embracin' tha "777" life!
"Throw dat "7" up, throw dat "7" up (throw dat "7" up)!
Slots say, "777," bitch, I'm winnin' all da luck!"
- On August 28, 2020, while tryin' my luck at tha Dragon Fire 7's slot machine, my iPod was playin' 70th Street Carlos' "555", when I got three dragon-fire 7's (prize of $500.00 - progressive jackpot). I got tha lowest prize of $500.00, that night, but just tha anticipation of tha progressive wheel spinnin' with Big Cheezy on made for a reason to make this song come to light!
