Happy 2/25 Day!! Frankie here, finna review my 2,016^th review: Max Minelli Diamonds In The Dirt, tha documentary that just dropped! I haven’t reviewed a documentary since November 4, 2012; now, I have a documentary to review, again! This documentary iz about tha Baton Rouge music scene evolving throughout tyme; tha artists are tha “diamonds,” while gettin’ it out tha mud iz tha “dirt.” Tha artists didn’t think they had dreams to accomplish till tha music started takin’ off. I had met Max, Sam I Am, Koo Shot Ya & Greg Dukes all on March 27, 2017, while Koo was filmin’ some scenes at Dukes’ studio. I was filmed, too, but accordin’ to Max, there’ll be more comin’ with a sequel, one day! Fa now, lemme see this Baton Rouge history in tha flesh! I’m watchin’ this via tha Tubi app, since it’s currently only available there… Lemme peep tha trailer out & see what’s up… *Peeps trailer out…* Tha BR bridge & “Baton Rouge” levee spelling’s alwayz a dope sighting! I’m diggin’ how Max Minelli iz directin’ this, with his voice & tha footage ta go with it! Looks great ta see a bunch of tha peeps I know & have showed me luv, in tha past & some till now! Like, can we rewind back tyme to tha history? July 14, 2008, when I did my 100^th review 1,916 reviewz ago, Nu$$ie gave me a shout-out on Jimmy The DJ’s Gangsta Gumbo, Vol. 2: Ghetto Pass mixtape! September 15, 2008, when I did my review for Kevin Gates All Or Nuthin’ (The Mixtape), when he had it posted on his MySpace blog. I got some good history! How does it compare to today’s value? I’ono, what y’all think? That Sam I Am shot in tha intro, yeah, that was March 27, 2017, when I called it in my intro that I’m still in!! Lol, I wrote that 1^st part of tha intro while I was sober & now, after hittin’ my THC pen, I seen & wrote about that day, only I’m still in tha intro, still, lol! Anywayz, can’t wait ta peep out this big release! I’ono, my perspective on some peeps have changed in value since my recording process, last year. Some could be worth an awesome rating but as a bad withdrawal; we’ll see what we got! Reals? Fakes? We’ll see…! Disclaimer: I rate each scene from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care what’s what! As long as it’s cool and good enough for me to like it! I look for style & then tha storyline. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a scene gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already; if at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I see it) so any scene can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I see tha scene; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha scene while I’m watching it. If you act like anything too mainstream for me, there’s auto-tune or lots of talkin’ about money, hoes & stuntin’ 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! 28:21: These dark tymes for Da Camp are dark but they’re awesome ta hear, story-wise. Tha “differences” between Loc & Bleed are unfortunate that happened. However, I feel tha same way about one of my ex-idols from Baton Rouge. Like, you can be a top priority one day, then, those expectations don’t meet & you move on!

38:35: When that teenage Boosie said, “I love doin’ what I do,” I look at that bein’ me, my 33-year-old perspective, at my current job. When people can’t understand how I come in at 100.00% confident, determined & positive, I just let it be known that my passion iz at max. level!
 
39:15: Oh boy, Max! “Just like tha last tyme, trouble was around tha corna.” I feel eerily anticipated…! Damn, Loc; ouch, ouch! We all have our sentencing tymes! Can’t believe there’s a snitch on one of our trails throughout our lifetyme!
 
40:04: “And, a halfway-finished Boosie debut album.” Deep…, so deep… Tha throwback footage of Boosie looks like he hungry, so it blends in nicely with a “Boosie debut album” only bein’ “a halfway-finished” project! Poor Biggy-Biggy-Boos’!
 
40:29: Luv how Max would help & take over fa Loc, while Loc was in tha pen! That’s tha real dedication! I alwayz show that type of dedication but I almost never get tha same back in return! That’s what makes me a legendary & an ordinary person boring till this day!
 
42:09: Crazy business transition fa Boosie, when he went from Camp Life Entertainment ta Trill Entertainment, especially while Loc was locked up…! Luv Loc’s dedication to tha game, all these years later! Props fa “shaping up” Baton Rouge & for havin’ so much power! My Rating: 4.9

However, I didn’t even stop to eat & just had ta finish it ‘cause there’s only 90 minutes left of 225 Day!
 
1:18:45: Ain’t realize who dat was, at first; S/O to Mouse! Now that I’m finally movin’ around, Mouse & I should finally meet up! Mouse, I know that was your goal four dayz after you turned 30; on October 23, 2014, you tweeted me, “man I appreciate you so much my G! Hopefully one day I get to meet u soon and kick it with you. None of tha 11 came up in this review but for tha next review, there may be some parts I may have to either skip or not leave feedback on.

People tend to have trouble spellin’ it, tho. “FrankieThaLuckyDog” iz tha real spelling, from November 4, 2002; other spellings I’ve seen were “Frankie The Lucky Dog” (like tha credits), “Frankie Tha Lucky Dog” & “FrankieTheLuckyDog”. In tha end, it’s “FrankieThaLuckyDog” but I recognize tha shout-out!

Overall: Even tho this ain’t tha whole Diamonds In The Dirt, it still hit 100% home fa me, courtesy of tha B.R. history! Luv all tha artists I grew up to, makin’ me channel they energy into tha dude I am till this day! I thought tha editing was dope; some same-shot parts had jump-cuts & there were a few audio-pops but I give y’all props fa makin’ somethin’ like this! What it do? What it do? This yo boy, FrankieThaLuckyDog, ya heard me? I finna get into my 2,015^th review, eva! I’m lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this new Phat Baby release we got! Phat Baby, p.k.a. Y.B. For Initials, f.k.a. YB (b4 that damn YoungBoy)! This right chea iz Stepchild (Deluxe); this iz just how I feel about bein’ tha “stepchild” to my stepdad. You know, it makes life an extra life somewhere. You know, you have an inconsistent way of appreciating & under-appreciating things, I guess? People don’t understand who you iz but that’s where I come into tha picture. Me & my autistic stoner rapper-ass, ya heard me?! But yeah, gettin’ into this Phat Baby Stepchilid (Deluxe), courtesy of Don’t Die Wondering Music Group…! I was ‘posed ta do this review a week ago, on tha 16^th. However, even tho I wanted to enjoy tha snow, I got hit wit an injury at my job from carin’ too much; it fucked me up…! Had ta kinda shake back, even tho I ain’t even take a day off, except for tha dayz off I had. I ain’t call off or nothin’; I’m a soulja, ya heard me? I’m an ‘80s babies in my 30’s! ‘80s babies in our 30’s! But, Phat Baby a ‘90s baby, right chea! With tha original Stepchild, with only four tracks on it, I really felt that you had tha dinosaur in tha background. With tha deluxe cover, you know, I have to put my two pennies in on this one! I just don’t appreciate tha money flashin’, even tho Long Live Looney & King Joe, ya heard me? They were my people—tha underground of Baton Rouge, you know, alwayz luv y’all to tha fullest, especially Looney! I got mad luv fa him but I have tha exclusive Looney, money-flashingless pics! Maybe, a pic or two or three or four, you know? You coulda hit me up; you know & prolly got one of those on there! That was courtesy of me but you know, that’s where I put my stamp on it. I alwayz put my stamp on people in Baton Rouge, ya heard me?! Over 14 years strong & on our 15^th year this year, so I’m lookin’ forward ta that! I dunno, this review may be just a lil’ decent? We’ll have to see how it goes but fa now, I finna climb this Moosic Mountain trail, right chea! I’m really feelin’ tha aggression that you bringin’ to tha table! Ya know, I was talkin’ ‘bout dat YoungBoy; I feel like he coulda jacked your style ‘cause in comparison, it just sounds like you’re bringin’ a vibe that he should embrace! And, give credit to: that B.R. sound to tha fullest! From tha hook transitionin’ to tha 1^st verse & tha greatness you were bringin’ to tha table with tha aggression—or should I say, only verse—I feel it; tha aggression iz definitely what’s up! A part of me wants ta think that you gon be freestylin’ off of a slow jam/high-kinda track? It’s 10:09, right now! It’s Greg Dukes’ birthday tyme but also, King Joe birthday tyme! 10:09! 10/09! Long Live King Joe! Slow freestyle? Two words! #2, with 2:02 on tha length, as yesterday was 2.22.22! >>> Like, you really “mmm-mmm”/hummin’, here, with tha “mmm-mmm” intro! I would say, definitely somethin’ catchy, right chea! I just luv your aggression on tha track, again! Yeah, “go opp shop”…ping, that iz! Yeah, “‘Never Scared’, like Bone Crusher”; 19 years ago, just like my boombox I still use ev’ry muthafuckin’ day! Yeah, “like a shark, don’t reel ‘em in ‘cause he on [yo] line!” Beware! Phat Baby comin’ through phat with tha “mmm-mmm-mmm-mmm!” When you came in with tha “Smoke Scent”, it sounded like your vocals were a lot louder than tha music/tha beat in tha background? So, that masterin’ was, I wouldn’t say it was all 100% there but I definitely felt everythang else: tha beat, just keepin’ it goin’ with this 225 heat! This iz what it’s all about, right chea! Yeah, “Pay yo fuckin’ cable bill if you don’t want no static!” Yeah, I’m definitely feelin’ a great vibe off this track, right chea! Anotha awesome Baton Rouge sound, wit your focused, energized, dope ego! Dope 1^st ver—oh wait, dope verse! Take tha “1^st” out ‘cause there’s only one verse! But, tha hook? Tha hook dope, too! I think this one’s gonna be pretty stunning with tha lyrical content but iz it addressed tha way that tha Baton Rouge heads gon luv? >>> I feel like this production sounds dope with this beginning beat; yeah, “Long Live Looney!” It reminds me of a Fredo Bang track! “Just got off tha phone wit Gates.” You talkin’ ‘bout my boy born on February 5, 1986? Kevin Gates?! I don’t get tired—I neva get tired! Alwayz wired! Don’t get tired, alwayz wired!! Think of that! Yeah, “potent taste”; these are “potent” rhymes, ya heard me?! “Shattered like a broken vase”; yeah! Buku pieces, right there! I definitely agree! You know, where you have so many stories! Me at 33? Definitely, definitely got a bunch of stories to tell & I can’t wait to tell ‘em in tha future! I can tell ‘em many tymes! Yeah, “I’ono need no help”; looka, I’m doin’ this by myself, again! Runnin’ all five lines on my floor by myself! “My 3’s up”; yeah, shout out ta YB—you, with tha initials, Youngblood! Yeah, havin’ tha injury a week ago & doin’ this, climbin’ this Moosic Mountain, this that shit…! I’m invincible; I got stamina like no other! Pretty-catchy 1^st verse & tha hook sounds pretty great, you know, how you feel nuttin’! Nuttin’! I like how you made your own version of “Murder She Wrote”, back from tha ‘90s; ol’ skool! Sounds cool; sounds like tha 2^nd verse popped up outta nowhere & really tried to catch tha end of tha hook & introduced itself so fast… That transition caught me off guard but… You ain’t “nuttin’” to these people on yo dick ‘cause you know what? I know you’re goin’ thru your shit wit your sentence & err-thang; I went thru mine I got mine done! I can’t believe it’s fuckin’ been five months, already! Five months today, I got off probation! Where tha hell did tha tyme go?! Wow, “Tombstone witcho name!” That’s YB for ya, meaning you, For Initials, ya heard me?! Tryna go after that Looney killer; yeah! Fuck tha Looney killer!
