Grindin’; that’s all I do! This review right here iz for my boyz Dae~Dae & Tha G.T. wit their collaboration CD, “Hustle & Flow”! I ‘preciate tha thought of almost gettin’ my logo on tha back cover. Even though it didn’t make it, tha thought iz what counts! It’s not bad like tha two dilemmas that happened where this one rapper didn’t put my boy and I on tha credits (yet, I did a long-ass review for him). Tha otha dilemma happened right around when this CD came out: someone wanted me to host their mixtape and just completely hid in tha closet by not talkin’. Then, they released it; those two dilemmas are real bullshit! Start Time: 4:09 PM | End Time: 5:04 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Baton Rouge Shit” Feat. Terror a.k.a. Cheez (Down Bad)
I’m a lil’ surprised that now, ‘round decade strong, Down Bad iz still called wit an “Ent.” at tha end. Anyway, who’s that producer’s tag in tha beginning? Gotta luv Dae’s voice and how catchy it iz! At first, didn’t know who was who but it’s Dae on tha 1st verse, deliverin’ those catchy-ass “underwater”/elemental rhymes! This iz a good song to start tha CD off; you know, intro “shit”! Terror does his thang on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit his character and flow at all times! Talk about a HARD song ta radio edit!! Had ta do it TWICE no less ‘cause I rushed to get it on tha air when I originally had an unmastered version, lol. G.T. doin’ his thang on tha 3rd verse; gotta luv tha “Baton Rouge tits” part, lol! Even like a Cali/Hannibal/Alexia “nice” ad-lib right afta dat part! My Current Rating: 4.5


02. “All The Time I Get Money”
Just y’all, so you know dis looks like an anthem! >>> It sounds like a simple, short song that’s cool ‘cause y’all “on tha grind all tha time!” Dae’s on tha 1st verse, a lil’ different wit tha voice here. Likin’ tha “muthafuckin’ crook” part; sounded like it flowed nice. G.T.’s comin’ through wit tha nice rhymes on tha 2nd verse too; what else can I say, lol? LOL @ “play tha game like Monopoly” ta end tha verse! Was playin’ dat on tha last review (on my computer) but it’s Final Fantasy III now. My Rating: 4.2


03. “$New Money$” Feat. Dino Danja
Anotha “money” song already, lol? There must be a focus of major motivation here!! Let’s see how good dis iz wit Dino on tha feature! >>> Okay, tha beat’s just aight once again; need a lil’ more excitement in it… Dae (thought you were G.T. for a second), you’re soundin’ not bad on tha 1st verse and on tha hook… Dino’s on tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty good… I just expected mo from dis beat. Okay, I’m likin’ tha hook a lil’ betta and it’s really Dae~Dae; I must’ve dwelled off when hearin’ it. I like tha “bayous” shit and includin’ “Louisiana”! LOL, G.T.’s on tha 3rd verse here; my bad for tha confusion earlier wit thinkin’ he was on tha 1st verse. Betta rhymes so I must say dat G.T. had tha best verse. Oh, Dae has a 4th verse too? Lots of shit on this song, lol. This iz a much betta soundin’; tha character of Dae~Dae’s revealed! My Rating: 4.3


04. “Counterfeit” Feat. Dino Danja
Previously, a double “money” topic. Now, a double Danja feature, lol! I think dis gon be betta though! >>> Couldn’t tell tha beat tag but this iz betta as far as havin’ some excitement in tha beat! Nice start here and Dae’s doin’ his thang as far as holdin’ tha streetz down!! LOL @ tha “board games” shit; Dae’s just WAY above playin’ “games”! Sounds like a Young Ready-type song, only listenable (2010 style)! Must be Dino on tha 2nd verse, soundin’ betta already than tha last song! Glad he addin’ his spice to tha song and lol @ his traffickin’ shit outta nowhere; dumb shit! Tha grimy G-to-tha-T on tha 3rd verse, lol! Nice job, ya dig? So far, this iz my #1; we’ll see if it can hold on! My Rating: 4.5


05. “Wasting My Time”
Whoeva’s “wasting y’all time” iz str8 pussy! >>> Different style in tha beat here but it sounds good wit Dae in tha 1st verse. Not feelin’ tha social websites throughout tha verse… Outta nowhere, G.T.’s rappin’ on tha 2nd verse. Yup, “there’s a monsta in tha booth;” make it 2 since Ya Own 2 Ent. iz in tha buildin’! Very consistent verse here! Since it came wit a lot of time left, I thought there was gonna be a 3rd verse. Nice job, G.T.! My Rating: 4.2


06. “Ignant $hit”
I rememba dis; put it on YouTube not too long ago… Lemme review it and see what happens. >>> Okay, this has a good feel to it wit Dae doin’ his thang on tha hook wit dis nice beat! Crazy-ass soundin’ on tha 1st verse here from Dae, lol! What a crazy-ass voice here!! G.T. sounds pretty nice on tha 2nd verse but unlike tha last song, it’s reversed: Dae wins here, unlike G.T. winnin’ on tha last joint! My Rating: 4.4


07. “XXX (Hit Her Wit That)”
Nice title here, but when it came to “Ignant $hit”, tha #’s on tha back cover’s missin’ a #6, so they’re different by 1. Anyway, lemme hear dis! >>> Oh, so this iz “Flex” on tha beat, I see. I guess I should’ve remembered Dae’s text about dis; didn’t expect it ta come through so far. Don’t like how tha beginning’s so long but it’s soundin’ betta wit Dae on tha 1st verse wit tha listenable rhymes. Very consistent and demandin’ fa some luv, Dae, lol! G.T. doin’ his thang on tha 2nd verse; just holdin’ thangz down… My Rating: 4.1


½time: Didn’t think I’d hear anything bad; you KNOW this whole CD has it on lock!! Keep doin’ tha damn thang, y’all!! So far, y’all at a 4.3 for tha CD rating!


08. “Fire & I”
Interestin’ title; one’s tha “fire” and one’s tha 1st person, lol! >>> An online beat (accordin’ to tha tag); sounds pretty good wit G.T. on tha start here. Not bad on tha whole verse but tha beat sounds like it kicked in nicely wit tha synths on tha hook!! Good job from tha both of y’all on tha hook! LOL @ Dae wit tha “daddy” start to tha 2nd verse! It’s soundin’ good like tha last joint wit how Dae came through fa tha ladies! My Rating: 4.3


09. “Can’t Keep My Feet On The Ground”
Long title so let’s see what’s good wit it. >>> Not my kinda start for tha beat. Ugh, a jacked beat overall… Whateva this was, I don’t think it was from good times fa me. Sounds like a calm Dae on tha 1st verse. Although I’m likin’ tha “smokin’” topic, I don’t think this’ll be as excitin’ as it should be due to tha beat and hook. Good verse from Dae and G.T. has a pretty good verse too. Betta than I expected; I guess dat title now feels like you’re high, lol. My Rating: 3.9


10. “Gymnastic Shit”
LOL, 3rd “Shit” title here! >>> Thought it was gonna be like 128 BPM but now, tha beat sounds a lil’ familiar… Tha hook’s cool; tha “___ Shit” anthems holdin’ it down!! LOL @ tha “slangin’ marijuana ‘n’ X pillz” shit ta start tha 1st verse on a “gymnastic” title! Shit, yea! Heard a “Yung Yola” and “Keep Chewin’” quote throughout tha 1st verse! Wrote him my 19th letter almost two weeks ago since May 2009, just holdin’ him down!! Now, tha consistent, gangsta side of G.T. on tha 2nd verse! Real nice job wit all these rhymes!! My Rating: 4.3


11. “Flash Out” Feat. Cage (Down Bad)
Da Conducta on tha feature here, lol. Let’s see how crazy dis gon be!! >>> Supastar beat? I guess that’s what it said in tha beginning… Cool song; Cage does his thang on tha hook wit tha additional shit (lol, had ta say, “___ shit”)! Damn, tha 2nd ½ of tha hook’s REALLY energetic wit tha vocals! Dae’s on tha 1st verse, doin’ his thang to tha fullest!! LUV dat “rememba!!!” shit from Cage on tha ad-lib!! This has ta be my #1 now ‘cause of how GR8 it sounds!! Cage’s on tha 2nd verse here; let’s see what he got fa a verse… Cool although him on tha hook was catchier. G.T.’s on tha 3rd verse and it’s soundin’ good on dis beat; nice job! My Rating: 4.6


12. “$ex, Drugs, Money & Murder” Feat. Dino Danja
Sounds like what typically goes on; let’s see what’s up. >>> Sounds jacked again on tha beat. I like how tha hook sounds but this iz like not even a Louisiana-soundin’ song when I hear a beat like dis… Tha 1st verse from Dae’s good but it almost made me feel like dis came from New York or some shit like dat? Same wit G.T.’s verse, although they’re good… Mysterious feature on tha 3rd verse? LOL, no, it’s Dino Danja, doin’ his thang! What happened to sourcin’ him on dat back? I like this overall. But, who knows if it’ll have dat novelty feelin’ to it later on ‘cause of its soundin’… My Rating: 4.1


13. “What I Be Saying!!!”
LOL, was “Sayin’” when I got it but it’s all good. J Skee doin’ tha damn thang on tha beat (yup, knew dat producer)! I like tha resurrected Crunk sound in tha beat! G.T. holdin’ tha hook down wit all dat “saying” shit, lol (damn, I did a “___ shit” again wit writin’ somethin’, lol)! Good-ass shit from G.T. on tha 1st verse; nothin’ but tha best from him, ya dig? I believe dis a 1st on this CD: non-alternated verses, as G.T.’s on both tha 1st and 2nd verses consecutively. YEA!! Dae’s verse on tha 3rd verse!! I just luv dat catchy voice and dat FUNNY-ASS—OUTTA NOWHERE “if tha po-po be listenin’ on da low!” Dat line just makes err-body wanna HUG Dae, lol!! How random it sounds, but it’s tha tightness dat carries ova!! My Current Rating: 4.5


14. “Life Ain’t Easy”
Time ta end it; how? >>> Damn, a lil’ bit of a depressin’ ending? Sounds not bad wit G.T. spittin’ pretty good on this beat (a lil’ more easier to listen to dis beat than tha “S,D,M&M” one or tha “CKMFOTG” one). Nice job and tha hook’s pretty good. LOL @ Dae and his “bleezies” on a beat like dis; you know, dumb! Randomly, not givin’ “a fuck;” good line/attitude! Nice job, overall, on tha collaboratin’! My Rating: 4.0


Overall: STR8 UP CONSISTENT-type shit here!! GR8 team and I look forward to all tha shit comin’ soon to a future near everyone! Keep doin’ tha damn thang; I got both y’all backs all tha time!
