My next review iz Young James Self-Employed Vol. 1; not really lookin’ forward, since I have a lot of other shit to do, instead… Start Time: 8:40 PM | End Time: 9:02 PM


Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I already love it. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating! Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

>>> Not too bad wit tha beat you chose; okay rappin’, although tha hook sounds like an original hook, instead of tha featured artist? Lack of interest, but not bad wit tha rhymes, a lil’… My Rating: 2.7

05. “We Major” Feat. Killa & Fresh Skee
>>> What’s this quiet beat shit, especially longer than four minutes? I can’t get inta this; how iz this Louisiana? Sounds like Wiz Khalifa! Wow, after hearin’ tha original hook, I just wanna skip…; end already!! Nothin’ horrible wit tha rhymes, but nothin’ I can get into… My Rating: 1.9


06. “BlackHoodie Dreams” Feat. Gunna Hood
>>> More non-Louisiana music, but at least this iz a lil’ listenable… I’m likin’ tha voice on dat 1^st verse dude (Gunna Hood); good job… Even you sound a lil’ betta on tha 2^nd verse, too; kinda long for a “mixtape” song, but whateva… Tha 3^rd verse ain’t too bad, either… My Rating: 3.7


07. “Go Hard (Words From The Heart)”
Both titles combined look contradictory (“hard” mixed wit somethin’ “from tha heart”)… >>> An okay beat choice and rhymes seem good for bein’ cool wit people. However, I don’t understand how people can actually be cool wit people, in person…; like, really…? Not too bad, overall. My Rating: 3.3


08. “Everything 2 Me”
Very long? *Yawn* >>> How gay that there’s a chipmunk hook! Not into these rhymes; you’re anotha rapper that automatically assumes shit wit tha “hoes” and shit… My Rating: 2.1


09. “Doing Me” Feat. Fresh Skee
>>> A lil’ betta wit tha beat, but “I do it so different”? What’s up wit all these rappers wantin’ ta be “different”? Meanwhile, they still rap about money, hoes, and swag? People fake-claim bein’ “different” and I’m sick of it! I’ll automatically be different ‘cause of who I am, as well as my character and my autism/Asperger’s diagnose! But, not too bad, overall, even though I wouldn’t take shit like this so serious… Fresh Skee’s doin’ a not-so-bad job on tha 2^nd verse… My Rating: 2.6


10. Powerade Break
>>> Okay speech in tha beginning, but I actually like this “break” betta than most of tha songs on here! My Rating: N/A

>>> Sounds like tha producer stole dance music wit this beat sound; it’s good, but why so long? After tha 1^st verse, it’s startin’ ta get a lil’ boring wit tha unknown rappers… Prolly could’ve just been you on this ta make it be a lil’ better rating, but not sure why tha others are on here… My Rating: 2.9

>>> Decent; shorten tha length!! Well, looks like I’m deductin’ ‘cause tha original hook’s in here! My Rating: 2.5

>>> Almost like tha previous one, only there’s no dumb hook and it’s shorter!! My Rating: 3.1


14. “What Up Witcha”
>>> Doesn’t sound like Southern music, but at least it’s short… My Rating: 2.8


15. “We Gone Grind” Feat. Killa & Gunna Hood
>>> After tha beginning, I’m just skippin’; so horrible ta hear dick-on-dick-suckin’ vocals in 2011, still!! Damn, when will people let that trend go?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! My Rating: 1.0

>>> This ain’t too bad, but why can’t I hear Louisiana music? Gotta deal wit this watered-down, East Coast shit, when I left those dayz years ago!! Either way, at least this an anthem fa y’all… My Rating: 3.5

>>> Boring beat start…; rhymes are listenable, though, from everyone… My Rating: 3.4

Why just “hour” on tha filename? Says, “hours,” on tha back cover? >>> Sounds like tha boring, 2010s-type shit, once again; can’t deal wit this kinda shit… My Rating: 2.6


19. Casino Boy Zo Taking ‘Em Out
>>> Sounds like some scary, MJ-type shit in tha beginning… Either way, this iz a boring outro, especially since it’s almost five minutes long! “Big money comin’ our way”? Really? Where’s tha original tracks, instead of these gay-ass, 2010s-type jacked beats? My Rating: N/A

A bonus/single… >>> Once again, tha 2010s generation that really ain’t for me; I don’t see how this can be a single, since it sounds like tha other songs on here? Prolly could’ve chose my #1 or #2 as tha single, instead? My Rating: 2.5


Overall: No comment; I wish everyone would think 2000s/1990s instead of these Drake/Wayne thoughts!
