Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything
after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening
to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or
talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’
topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

“When The Lights Go Down”
What
are we startin’ with? Hope it’s catchy and has an underground feel to it!
>>> Not likin’ tha vocals in tha beginning; hope this doesn’t go
downhill… Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and tha lyrics are on-point, wit
tha beat; maybe it’s just tha hook? Very long verse, and there’s that hook
again… His older Jamaican-soundin’ hooks were better; this sounds like there’s
a voice effect or some shit, smh. Also, this iz way too long! My Rating: 3.7
02.
“I’m A Rider”
>>>
Kinda voice effect-y on this hook, too, but not as bad. Beat sounds like
typical mainstream music, a lil’, so let’s see how these lyrics go… Still good,
but not as good as tha last song. Either way, this iz a better song, AND
it’s nice and quick!! My Rating: 3.9
03.
“Annie”
>>>
Yuck @ remakin’ Michael Jackson on tha hook; big turn off, and tha delivery’s
lackin’ emotion! Goes good wit my cassette tapes, as I’m in tha year 2001, when
rock band Alien Antfarm had that “Smooth Criminal” remake… Barely hittin’ tha
decent mark fa me wit tha lyrics and song, overall. My Rating: 2.8
04.
“Free To Love”
>>>
Nothin’ really special on tha hook, but it instantly beats that MJ shit… I wish
these beats didn’t sound like “everyone else” in tha music game, smh… Since tha
lyrics ain’t really poppin’ off fa me, this barely makes tha decent mark fa me,
too. My Rating: 3.0
05.
“I Grind, I Grind” Feat. D.G.
Double-word
title; bet it doesn’t beat one of my cassette classics’ double-word title
(“Jumpin’ Jumpin’”)! >>> Still plain beats, but I like this D.G. dude
on tha feature/hook; maybe that’s what you need on your hooks, Gates? Good job
wit tha feature, but I wasn’t into tha 1st verse from him too much.
Even though this iz a “grind” song, anytime I hear somethin’ about “swag” or
“stacks,” I feel allergic to it; not my generation at all! Then again,
surprisingly, you make a good comeback on tha 2nd verse, Gates; I
like this delivery! Good job wit makin’ tha attempt, Gts (yea, “Gts” instead of
“Gates”)! My Rating: 3.9
06.
“Put On A Show”
>>>
Tha hook ain’t for me wit these weird vocals of yours… Still, no catch in tha
beats, and your lyrics are okay, once again… My Rating: 3.2
07.
“Kill For Me”
>>>
“Eleanor Rigby” beat sample? You got Paul McCartney and all them’s approval,
Gates, since this iz an album? Wow,
this iz really short…; where are tha words? Okay, why are they buried behind tha beat? They sound like
they could be good, but you get tha big F for makin’ it hard fa me ta hear!! My Rating: 2.5
08.
“Sinatra”
>>>
X-Fyle production here; let’s see how it goes, even though tha length’s almost
4 ½ minutes… Wow, you got tha vocals loud again? How? Well, it’s about time there’s a better beat to rap on. Tha
rhymes ain’t that bad, here; “pistol ticklin’ my nuts”? I still don’t get
everyone’s obsession wit carrying a gun. It’s like, why piss people off in tha
first place? Just be like this girl Lana I went to school with in 8th
grade and not ever open your mouth,
unless it’s somethin’ rarely important!! Anyway, tha hook sounds a lil’ funny,
but I can deal wit this one a lil’ betta… Then again, you shouldn’t’ve “cut [your] hair!” I’m doin’ my top 100 most-memorable
songs while at my 2nd college, and it was tha dayz when you had dreads!
Oh, if I could’ve pulled on those dreads, lol, in my sarcastic voice! They were
so cool; your hair’s not creative tha way it iz! My Rating: 3.6
½time: Not off to tha best
start, so far. Not even one song has a 4.0 rating, which I love on a first listen; wtf?
Almost all tha beats sound like shit anyone would rap on, unlike tha shit I
used ta hear from you, where you had Guss and all them produce for you.
Currently, you’re at a not-special, 3.3 CD rating.
09.
“Strong” Feat. Yung Scooter
>>>
I like tha conversation in tha beginning; still wonder how your excitement ta
communicate wit someone tha same gender as you triggers? Same thing for
everyone else in tha world… Tha Scooter dude’s on tha 1st verse, and
it’s listenable. Nothin’ really stands out, but at least he wasn’t braggin’
about ‘money’ and ‘swag,’ which are tha new ‘gay’ for me! Tha hook sounds a
lil’ on tha better side wit how you deliver it; definitely a lil’ catchy for
me… And, you did a good job on tha 2nd verse wit how you were
deliverin’ tha lyrics… My Rating: 3.8
10.
“Wrist To Work” Feat. PK
>>>
Not really off to tha best start for me, since this hook sounds very mainstream
and a lil’ repetitive… What’s up wit tha beat again? Why does it have to sound
like everyone else? Ugh, I hate when
people have ta claim someone’s “different,” but they sound like everyone else;
nothin’ new! I think I’m different ‘cause I’m autistic!!! You’re in “Skysail and Gardere,” Gates? You might get
chased outta there wit this typical music and no dreads!!! Tha PK
dude on tha 2nd verse ain’t poppin’ anything off fa me, here; soon
as I hear “hoes on my dick,” that’s one of many typical, automatic expectations
fa all these rappers today. Yuck, even a “swag” line? I mean, no one really
knows who PK iz, right now, no offense. My
Rating: 2.9
11.
“Would You Mind”
>>> Finally, we have a different kinda beat! Likin’ it, includin’ your x-rated lyrics… Tha deliver could be a lil’ different durin’ tha 1st verse, though… I almost was afraid it was a Lil’ Wayne or Rick Ross-type flow; yuck! Tha hook has your typical-soundin’ voice on it, and ain’t too bad. Really enjoyin’ these lyrics, but I can never understand how all this “fuckin’” comes easy to all of you rappers? Non-fuckin’ iz an example of bein’ different! Either way, this iz tha 1st song to pull through wit a 4.0+ rating for me…, but really, 11 songs in? SMH! My Rating: 4.0

12.
“Shooting Stars”
>>>
An okay hook, but sounds a lil’ cheesy wit tha lyrics/title? Wouldn’t this be,
like, a Lil’ Romeo topic from a decade ago? Tha rhymes ain’t too bad on this
song, here…; tha beat has some catchy sounds in it, too. My Rating: 3.3
13.
“Man Down”
>>>
You said, “pussy-ass nigga”? How does a nowhere-near hard CD like this have an
attitude like you sayin’, “P.A.N.,” on it? Even “crystal meth”? I can’t fall in
love wit this, and we’re back to tha typical-soundin’ beats… Then again, I’ll
give it up to tha hook; you have great character wit tha bendin’ “down!” My Rating: 3.6
14.
“Look Out”
Why
iz there, like, 17 songs on this CD when this iz supposed to be an ‘album’?
Anybody’ll just shove songs on CDs, now-a-dayz… >>> Anotha boring,
typical, in-tha-trap-soundin’ beat, smh… Tha hook has more good character from
you, but not as catchy as tha previous song. Once again, you have good lyrics
on this, except tha “money” shit; since when did rap depend on “money,” all of
a sudden? Pathetic! My Rating: 3.4
15.
“Soldier Man”
>>>
Ugh, don’t even say “swagga!” Yea,
Gts, I’ll sound like that Justine hater from my cassette tapes!! Hearin’ tha
hook wit this beat, and it sounds a lil’ better than usual… Rhymes sound
consistent, here; seems like you’ve got everything on lock, except that cheesy
intro. My Rating: 3.7
16.
“Satellites”
Repeat
song, randomly… Only thing different iz this title’s now plural. My Current Rating: 3.4
17.
“Outro :: Symphonic”
>>>
Beat sounds good for an “outro”. I’m likin’ your consistent rhymes, here.
Sadly, this might be tha best one on this CD; I’ll consider it a freestyle… My Rating: 4.2
Overall: Sadly, not even near an underground album for me. Almost
every beat sounded like a Gucci Mane/OJ Da Juiceman trap anthem vs. mainstream
rappers-type beat; where’s Guss, DJ B-Real, EQ, Beat Flippa, and everyone else
when you need ‘em? Where are tha Louisiana beats? Props to your knowledge for
X-Fyle bein’ a lil’ normal ‘cause at least he’s a Louisiana native… Most of tha songs on here sounded
on a mainstream tip, with not much excitement to grab my attention. A CD like
this doesn’t hold tha test of time like tha other ones! You MySpace-blogged my All Or Nuthin’ review ‘cause tha CD was excellent! Bet this review goes nowhere ‘cause of tha shitty world
of today, smh! I may still be a fan and check out all your work, but all this
dickridin’ and overratin’ shit needs to calm down ‘cause there’s nothin’ to
dickride, here. Also, PLEASE PUT THA “E”
AND “I” BACK IN YOUR NAME BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING!!! Yup, like my cassette
tapes’ song says, “E.I., E.I., uh oh;” it’s almost like disrespectin’ Nelly,
smh!
