It’s now anotha hour, so you know what that means… ANOTHA REVIEW from ya boy FrankieThaLuckyDog!! I ain’t stoppin’!! I’m makin’ my Media Diary for Media Programming class look good!! Err-thang media I do, I write it down! So now, here’s anotha thang ta write down: My review for Black Menace “Drama Time”! Start Time: 2:15 PM | End Time: 3:16 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Drama Time”
Tha title track here… Let’s see how we gon start this thang off for dat boy Black Menace!! >>> Sounds like a West Coast start here… You sound pretty good on this shit right here; sounds like a huge amount of paranoia here? Real nice for tha start of this CD, and your rhymes are gonna come through NICE here! Nice job on tha hook, and as soon as tha 2nd verse came on, I just kept ROFL!!! That rappin’ just DOESN’T STOP!!!!! OMG!!!!! It’s SOOOOOOOOOOOO fast and SOOOOOOOOOOOO consistent!!!!! Enjoyin’ err-thang that’s said (sounds like a featured artist)?! REAL, REAL, REAL NICE 2nd verse!!!!! Tha 3rd verse iz here, and it sounds like you on yo shit here; feelin’ tha shit you be spittin’! It IZ “drama time” for those haterz that ain’t fuckin’ wit you, ya dig! Nice start to tha CD, ESPECIALLY wit that UNBELIEVABLE 2nd verse!!! My Rating: 4.3


02. “See You Lat’a”
LOL @ tha “lat’a!” Lemme hear how good this one gon be!! >>> Although it sounds different, I like how tha beat sounds in tha beginning! Really feelin’ tha gangsta lyrics here, as well as tha drug-slangin’ lyrics too! You DEFINITELY sound like you deliverin’ that true street shit right here, ya dig! Yea, you “won tha block” wit dis shit here! A lil’ weird wit tha hook though wit that “ahh-e-ah, ahh-e-ah, ahh-e-ah-e-ah-e-ah, ah, ah” sample; it’s just decent. Tha 2nd verse however iz MUCH betta wit tha soundin’! I like how tha 2nd verse ended wit tha “see you lat’a, mane;” glad you used tha title! Nice job wit this 3rd verse here, “representin’ how you’re supposed ta!” My Rating: 3.9


03. “Hit’em Get’em”
Looks like a cool title; I’m expectin’ more than I expected for tha last song!! >>> Anotha different kinda beat intro that sounds good. However, here comes tha hook, soundin’ REAL RAW!!! Yea, tha fast raps in tha 1st verse too!!! Feelin’ tha gangsta lyrics too; GR8 street song right here! I like tha “fastball” part too on this shit; there’s like 300 lyrics in tha 1st verse, lol (SO many)!! Likin’ tha 2nd verse on this shit; just str8 hood lyrics/street shit here!! Sounded like tha 2nd verse was continued, yet soundin’ EQUALLY GOOD!! Tha “bookbag, put tha clip in tha…” part was just TOO RAW, ESPECIALLY since it was REAL fast!!! Tha 3rd verse just TOOOO GR8; this shit DON’T STOP!!! REAL FAST on tha rappin’, and tha lyrics are true to its gangsta roots!! Tha “disappear” part was REAL NICE too on this; TOO GR8 ONCE AGAIN!!! I like that there’s a 55 second beat outro on this too! My Rating: 4.8


04. “Run Up On Da Menace”
…(continuin’ from tha title) Then, death occurs!! I KNOW this gon be a REAL gutta song!!! >>> Sounds more upbeat this time. Anotha beat intro that sounds good, although different. Soundin’ GR8 on tha vocals wit tha rawness in tha 1st verse! Great job on tha 1st verse, deliverin’ such CONSISTENT shit!! I was right about tha hook, as it says, “run up on da Menace, then, you die,” lol! I got good guessin’! Tha 2nd verse still deliverin’ tha real shit right here! Tha 3rd verse just keeps this shit comin’ along! Soundin’ like a Mystikal flow mixed wit his lyrics goin’ on here in tha 3rd verse!! I like how tha verse ended wit a “shotgun right between their eyes!” DEFINITELY on a HIGH gangsta level here!! My Rating: 4.2


05. “Az Real Az They Come”
I like tha spelling of “az” in this one! It’s 5:37 also, so this should be tha shit!! >>> No beat intro this time, and it’s a lil’ slower on tha beat. I hope tha lyrics in tha verses are REAL HOT like tha last few songs!! Tha hook iz pretty good, although a lil’ slow wit tha beat for me. Sounds like some preachin’ goin’ on in tha 1st verse. Ooh, a “tick tock goes tha clock off yo life span” part; REAL NICE! Pretty good start to tha 2nd verse; you doin’ ya thang here wit tha lyrics. LOL @ “dead as a do’ knob” part! That shit was nice! Tha 3rd verse off to a not-so-bad start. I like tha “in tha club wit they khaki and white tee shirts” part ‘cause that’s a hood look. Keepin’ this shit comin’ wit a 4th verse, startin’ betta wit tha “in a puzzle like jigsaw” part; good shit! Definitely a betta 4th verse right there! I like tha acapella ending too!! My Rating: 3.8


06. “Pull Da Plug”
NICE title; lookin’ forward!! >>> Good job on tha intro, NICE start to tha 1st verse!!! That fast rappin’ iz just TOOOOOOOOOO GR8!!! My God, it’s just TOOOOOOOOO NUTS!!!!! Even tha way tha title was said before tha hook came: “I’m pullin’ da…plug!” Tha 2nd verse just TOOOOOOO GOOD too!!! MY GOD @ 1:59!!! VERY, VERY FAST wit these gangsta-ass lyrics!!! I like tha “pussy-ass niggaz” shit on tha outro to this song; nice shit here!! Also luvin’ tha “I’m pissin’ on y’all” part at tha end; tight ending! My Rating: 4.6


½time: Sounds like a REAL NICE CD here!! Pretty much most of tha songs bump real nice, and tha CRAZY rappin’ iz just TOO GOOD here!!! Luvin’ tha voices and err-thang that’s goin’ on wit this gr8 production too!!


07. “Boot Camp 4 Life”
Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ tha Camp representation here!! >>> Didn’t want a slow start ta this, but let’s see what happens… Tha vocals are DEFINITELY REAL GOOD here, so you KNOW tha rhymes gon be REAL, REAL NICE!!! “Dead as a telephone;” nice part right there that I just quoted!! Good “got a swisha, blaze it” part too; fusin’ a lotta gr8 shit here! Definitely inta tha rhymes here; keep this shit comin’!! Tha 2nd verse sounds like people are gettin’ encountered to you, but you blow ‘em away wit your rhymes! Pretty good, long 2nd verse here, doin’ tha damn thang. Nice lyrical style in tha 3rd verse wit dat good shit. I thought this would be more of a hood anthem than just good rhymes. My Rating: 3.7


08. “Family”
Anotha 5:00+ song… I wonder what exactly gon come outta this song? If tha last song was somewhat slow, what will this one be? >>> Shit, it’s even slower; sounds depressin’ in tha beginning (I should’ve known wit tha title). Good lyrics about yourself, but not a song for me. Sounds like Tupac’s “Dear Mama” in tha beat a lil’? Tha 2nd verse sounds more on tha upsettin’ side wit tha lyrics. Shit, there’s ova 2 minutes left… Tha hook ain’t for me either, as it’s just that slower/sad side that I don’t really go for. Tha 3rd verse I can’t really comment on. Lyrical Rating: 4.5 | My Rating: 2.4


09. “All Loced Out”
I like this title; let’s see what it offers! >>> Ooh, fast shit on tha acapella!! Tha whole entire thang sounds REAL, REAL NICE here!!! Who doesn’t like listenin’ ta fast rappin’? LOL, it would be a BITCH ta edit it when I would do radio edits! Anyway, a beat came at :45, and it sounds like it on tha slow tip again. Not that bad; tha hook iz pretty good. Tha 1st official verse iz here, and it’s decent for a start. I like that “got yo back” part; pretty good 1st verse afta all. Pretty good 2nd verse, and tha 2nd dude on tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ betta wit what he spittin’; didn’t expect him. Nice job wit tha 3rd verse wit tha “blunt, let me smoke it” part. Feelin’ tha smokin’ lyrics goin’ on, as well as tha flow. My Rating: 3.6


10. “Feel What They Feel”
Let’s see what’s in this song… >>> OMG, not anotha slow song?? I hate ta have this many slow songs goin’ on here… Sounds like tha “Family” song on tha lyrics. Way too mellow here too wit tha vocals and err-thang. I do like that “instead of teddybears, she sleepin’ wit a knife” part at tha end. Reminds me of this lil’ 5 year old my cousin sees, who plays wit this mini fake gun. She acts all hard and shit, lol. At least this song iz shorter. Sounds like there’s too many lyrics bein’ spit in tha 2nd verse…; they’re still good though. Not a song for me once again. Lyrical Rating: 4.5 | My Rating: 2.7


11. “Faces Of Death”
Looks like we have a GR8 comeback to tha CD? I HOPE so!! >>> Somewhat slow in tha beat intro, but it kicks in pretty good. I like tha rhythm in this one, and your rappin’ in tha 1st verse iz gr8; like tha “smoke weed” part! REALLY feelin’ tha “dragon spit” and tha “saggin’ tits” part too; REAL NICE! Nice job on tha 1st verse, and tha hook sounds like it a lyrical vs. street hook; pretty good. Tha 2nd verse sounds like you’re satisfyin’ yourself here. Wow, “tottin’ strap since tha 6th grade;” gangsta line right there! Nice job on tha 3rd verse too; pretty good song here. My Rating: 3.9


12. “Tonight’s The Night”
Hopefully, we got a party song wit this title! >>> Glad you “got a feelin’” that “tonight’s tha night!” Pretty good start/hook, and tha beat back on dat West Coast style. Pretty good 1st verse on this song. Yea, tha fast rappin’ comes on tha 2nd verse here!!! I like tha “my stamina’s so sharp” part; great job usin’ tha word “stamina!” Tha 3rd verse here has a nice flow; pretty good verse here. A 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse here, DOIN’ THA DAMN THANG!! “Blazin’ blunts” and tha “nigga fulla dem pillz” parts were TOO NICE, ESPECIALLY since he a pill-poppa and shit (whoeva’s on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse)!! Really feelin’ tha drugged up lyrics, as well as tha gangsta-ass lyrics that were spit! Oh shit, still goin’ here wit a 4th verse! Soundin’ like it blends in good! My Rating: 3.8


Overall: Well, tha 1st ½ was nice, but tha 2nd ½ seemed too depressing. Still, this was a pretty good CD.
