Reviewed on 2.09.2011 (Review #822)
I have a lil’ time so I’ll get into some reviewz. This first one iz DJ 5150 & Dre “NO To The BR 5”. Start Time: 9:26 AM | End Time: 10:05 AM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Shell (Young Thugga) “Call DJ 5150 – 770.418.8437”
>>> Good thing it’s a lil’ different; shout out ta Shell. My Rating: N/A
02. Lil’ Wayne “Six Foot, Seven Foot”
>>> A lil’ tight on tha beat but not my kinda shit. My Rating: 2.6
03. Max Minelli Feat. Level “Can I Help You”
Don’t think I know any of these songs (well, most of ‘em). >>> Sounds familiar wit dis Mod Productions beat; neva saw this title before. Sounds good, as always. A better, more-energetic side of Max. Neva thought Level would team up wit Max; good collab! My Rating: 4.4
04. Calliope Var Feat. Ceto “Welcome To New Orleans”
This iz definitely on a tight level! Tha beat’s really hot as far as a Rap genre! Calliope’s consistent as a ma’fucka! Good-ass shit here, my boy! Gotta have dat “kush,” too, my boy!! Ceto doin’ a nice job helpin’ out, too! What more could you want wit dis? It has everything ta satisfy a Rap luva! My Current Rating: 4.6
05. Lil’ Wayne Feat. Fiend & Mystikal “Papercuts”
Not again… >>> Immediately skipped to tha features. Even though I’m completely outta interest, tha hook iz somewhat good and Mystikal’s mainly holdin’ dis down. My Rating: 3.1
06. Ray Vicks Feat. Rocko “Bands (Remix)”
Again wit dis remix? Oh yea, you had tha original version and this iz tha less-better remix. My Current Rating: 4.0
07. Shell Feat. Lee Banks “Go Dumb”
Looks anticipatin’… >>> Anotha good one here even though a lil’ simple; tha beat holds it down… Shell starts wit a cliché verse, lol… Feelin’ tha other rhymes he spittin’, though. Anotha cliché sound of Lil’ Wayne in tha verse, too? LOL @ tha gangsta side on Lee Banks… My Rating: 4.3
08. Lil’ Boosie Feat. Quick & Money Bagz “Off The Porch”
Not Boosie, too… >>> More of a surprise here and a normal Big Wayne beat (not DJ Big Wayne anymore now that his beat pattern’s gone) and Boosie’s soundin’ tighter than eva! Tha content’s definitely a plus and lol, good collab… Quick’s voice iz always entertainin’ and ya gotta have Money Bagz ta add mo flava! My Rating: 4.6
09. Goldmouth Feat. B-Raw “Dummest Of Da Wayz”
First unknown artist. >>> HeartBeatz (producers of Da Gremlins “Gangsta Walk”) on tha beat. A lil’ betta than “Go Dumb” here wit more energy! My Rating: 4.5
10. Young Vonni “A.O.”
Anotha unknown artist… >>> A lil’ hotter! Tha “A.O.” shit’s catchy; even tha spelling! Real great job representin’ to tha fullest here! Tha beat’s real nice, too! My Rating: 4.6
11. Lil’ Phat “Light My Fire (Remix)”
How come tha known artists have older songs? Oh wait, this ain’t too old…; where’s Webbie? Still feelin’ this Savage-Bounce-produced shit! My Current Rating: 4.3
12. Mouse On Tha Track Feat. Shell & Foxx “Unwind”
>>> Sounds like anotha hot song! Shout out ta Shell holdin’ down tha beginning! Feelin’ tha collab and Mouse on tha hook, too; catchy shit! Of course, Mouse always has tha entertainment on tha track! Foxx has some tight shit, too, as always. My Rating: 4.6
½time: Those Wayne songs shouldn’t’ve been on here; destroyed tha consistency and anticipation I had, at first. But, a 4.1-rated CD, so far, iz nice.
13. Kevin Gates Feat. Max Minelli “Lean 2 Da Side (Remix)”
Did I eva hear tha original? Had to of… >>> Don’t exactly remember but this iz anotha real-catchy song. Kevin Gates’s gettin’ catchier and catchier through time! Max had an interestin’ collab earlier. Now, he’s tha interestin’ collab on dis joint, lol. Sounds pretty good although I like ta hear Kevin Gates more on dis. My Rating: 4.5
14. Chopper City Gorilla Gang “Black & Gold”
>>> Sounds like tha energy slowed down fa a second wit a jacked beat… ROFL @ tha “Super Bowl” obsession shit here; still pretty tight. My Rating: 4.3
15. A-One (Wissel) “Doin’ Numbers”
I know tha “Gift Rap” CD iz online (still have ta check it out). But, when I don’t have hard copies, it’s sometimes hard fa me ta hear some shit like dis. >>> Good but decent at tha same time; doesn’t sound like him on tha hook? Must be a voice effect or somethin’. Don’t like hearin’ about “gettin’ money” when I can’t even get a CD in tha mail (or a “thank you,” too), smh. My Rating: 3.8
16. Ville Boyz “Take It Dere”
LOL, are we in ’09 again? Still sounds good wit Mod on tha beat and DVB doin’ dey thang. My Current Rating: 4.3
17. Savage Feat. Kevin Gates & Nu$$ie “Life Of A Gangsta”
HATE tha “R.I.P.” in tha ID; gets hella annoyin’ and iz not called for in an ID! At least it ain’t in tha e-mail. Believe I saw this on WOS before “No Rest, No Sleep” came out but neva heard, so I’ll give this an exception. >>> Sounds good for a smoothish beat; good Gates 1st verse. LOL, Savage sounds really different, applyin’ a catchy voice on tha hook (if dat’s even him). Because of tha collaboration and anticipation I have, I’m gonna actually listen to tha whole song, here (in a rush wit tons of reviewz so I don’t be hearin’ tha whole thang on most songs, now). Savage did a nice job on tha 2nd verse, representin’ hard. Nu$$ie sounds betta on tha 3rd verse than usual; good job. My Rating: 4.6
18. Delwin The Krazyman Feat. Level, Ceddybu, Young Ready & Lil’ One Da Ryder “Shut Dis Bitch Down (Remix)”
Hella-long ID, lol? >>> Still sounds nearly tha same and very cliché in tha first minute. Delwin: aight; Level: good, but what’s wit all tha other people he callin’ out? Ceddybu: somewhat-funny; Young Ready: finally, a lil’ betta than usual; Lil’ One Da Ryder: young? Rather hear Lil’ One The Champ. My Rating: 4.2
19. Young Ready Feat. Dat Boy A “Street Lights”
SMH. My Current Rating: 4.1
20. Yung Ruga Ralph Feat. Yung Ziah “Finally”
What’s wit tha last two letters of tha alphabet? >>> Sounds like a mainstream song; what’s wit all tha “money” songs? At least tha street content’s a lil’ on tha betta-than-usual side. My Rating: 3.9
21. Lil’ Boosie Feat. Ray Vicks “Niggaz N Trouble”
>>> Thought I might’ve heard but sounds new. SMH @ :32; sounds like it blended in a bad way. A decent mixtape song; nothin’ fa me ta say. My Rating: 4.2
22. Hood Ent. Feat. Lil’ Handy & Spitta “Wildin’ Out”
What’s tha title? BTW, it’s Badd Nooze. >>> Sounds good; you know how Spitta does it. Where’s tha “R.I.P.” in Handy’s ID, huh? Where? See, tha human dignity level iz at an all-time low. At least he sounds good on dis although I dunno if he needed to be resurrected, now. When it went to tha 2nd hook, it sounded like I could tell there was a blend-effect sound. I had to look in tha e-mail to see tha title; tight shit. Good job from tha Ent. click throughout dis shit! My Rating: 4.6
23. Da Block Boys “Fuck Wit Me”
What’s this Lil’ Ken-produced track wit these new “boys” for me? >>> “Dat Lane”? They from G-Lane, I assume, which iz tight; they don’t know ‘bout me/I don’t know ‘bout them? Good find here, 5150, lol! Feelin’ tha tightness, as well as tha attitude! Damn, this seemed short. My Rating: 4.3
24. L.C. Feat. Tank Jones “Mr. Clean”
>>> Should’ve known dis was on here; would’ve flashed tha CD cover on my radio show but I can’t keep up wit some of these reviewz. Somewhat-simple song but sounds good, overall. My Current Rating: 4.1
25. Down Bad “Woah Nah”
Thought this was tha new song but it wasn’t 2011, yet, when this CD came out; how will we end? >>> Interestin’ dat it’s a Bounce ending. LOL, this iz interestin’; sure this iz new fa me. Sounds like some good energy iz bein’ shown in here; good job from tha DB boyz! Cage iz always a crazy dude on tha mic, lol! Gotta luv his character!! JR sounds pretty good—of course, tha beat has these boyz on lock right now! Terror ain’t too bad on dis; I liked err-body else better. Jack sounds good wit his two cents; catchy ending although it sounds cut-off, lol. My Rating: 4.4
Overall: Pretty-good for a compilation, here. A bunch of really-catchy songs, too; a bunch I haven’t heard, as well.
