Time ta keep it goin’ wit a Hudstars Entertainment presentation: Redboi “Mi BR Swagger”; not really crazy about a “swag” title… However, I’m reviewin’ this ‘cause Redboi added me on Facebook and told me to check this out a while ago, although it was in tha mist of my documentary and I forgot about it; now, let’s see what it do… Start Time: 2:25 PM | End Time: 3:27 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

02. “Murder Rates”
Good topic ta rap about; hope you do good wit dis! >>> Sounds like tha audio’s a lil’ low quali—oh, this 64 kbps but tha others look betta… Glad this sounds normal; feelin’ what you bringin’ fa tha hook as well as tha 1st verse, ya dig? Tha 2nd verse iz good wit tha content, too; not too bad but I’m glad this sounds like some shit I could like! My Rating: 4.0


03. “It Jus Da Hustle In Me”
I like this title… >>> Ooh, this sounds good, too; I like how you say tha title and how you apply shit, here! Tha rhymes are not bad on tha 1st verse; “$400 fa a show?” I still charge $0 ‘cause I rather perform and get it on tape! Tha 2nd verse sounds decent, too; so, you’re a “Mississippi” native, originally? Glad you “rep tha Boot,” now, ‘cause it’s all about tha 225/504/318/337/985! “You betta hit me on my phone;” hope we chop it up, real soon! It sounded like it skipped ‘round 4:02 in tha beat? Long outro but it’s cool… My Rating: 4.0


04. “Dn’t B Surprised”
What’s this? >>> A “S__ Thug” person on tha intro (not Slim Thug)? Sounds good fa a phone call. I guess they were “Jay” ‘cause you said to “free” them; interestin’ intro… Quality’s a lil’ shitty, here, but I’ll keep listenin’… Tha hook sounds aight; more of an anthem fa those “hatin’ on [you],” here. Tha 1st verse aight…; not much ta say… When tha 2nd verse starts, tha “fuck wit” almost sounds like “smoked weed,” which gives me a lil’ more anticipation when hearin’ dis shit… Overall, this an aight song although a lil’ long… I think a “d” iz at tha end of tha title ‘cause it’s really, like, “be surprised.” My Rating: 3.6


05. “Mary”
>>> Surprised at tha beat sound; thought it was gonna be a Tupac beat or somethin’… But, it’s dedicated ta “Mary Jane;” shit-fuckin’-yea!!! Real glad you got a weed-smokin’ anthem, here!!! Tha quality’s a lil’ too loud but you got me fired up wit dis one! Real glad you luv ta smoke!! Luvin’ tha 2nd verse; you “high” as a fuckin’ kite, here, bruh! Yea, a 3rd verse iz comin’…, hopefully! Actually, no; hope you have a “high”-soundin’ outro, ya dig? It’s more your repetitive shit dat you’re sayin’; I don’t think every song should have “2011,” your YouTube page, and tha same shit you be sayin’, here and there. BTW, what happened at 3:51? Tha beat stopped and came back, lol? My Rating: 4.3


06. “Bang Bang”
>>> I like how you say, “boi,” in tha beginning; all about dat catchy, bound-ta-be-addictive shit! Ooh, tha hook’s pretty gutta wit tha content; feelin’ how you be deliverin’ this shit! However, I wish tha flow had a lil’ more attitude, ya dig? Especially since you talkin’ ‘bout “bang, bang” wit tha choppa… Tha 1st verse iz also lackin’ tha attitude; I hate ta say this but can I trust tha content ‘cause of tha lack of an attitude? Tha 2nd verse sounds very random wit tha flow; doesn’t sound like you’re rappin’ serious, which I would’ve liked ta hear. I mean, I’m likin’ tha rhymes and how you go wit tha beat, at times, but that 2nd verse could’ve been delivered betta… My Rating: 3.9


07. “Life Not Easy”
>>> Not anotha “2011” intro… Unfortunately, this doesn’t sound like an original hook; sounds jacked, so I ain’t gon take it serious or comment it. I’m likin’ tha rhymes goin’ on, here; you got your lyrics on lock, at least. I may like this, although I’m not too crazy about songs about “life not [bein’] easy.” Good “smokin’ weed” part; you seem like a blessing, now! My Rating: 3.8

08. “Outlaw”
Now that I’m back, let’s see…; how good this’ll sound? >>> Damn, no wonder why I took a shit; maybe I should’ve held it in ‘til this—oh, I heard this from someone else before. For a second, I thought this was gonna be a worse-soundin’ song; let’s see how you do… Ooh, a “I been smokin’ this weed” line? Good shit! You remember tha age of “15;” how ‘bout tha date and time? That would be what’s up if you do remember that! Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad; not much ta say about it ‘cause some of this shit sounds typical… My Rating: 3.3


09. “No Beef”
>>> Sounds like an okay song… I don’t have much ta say about this random-soundin’, internet song…; glad you reppin’ fa tha 225, though! My Rating: 3.5


10. “No Fear”
>>> This sounds more catchy; I like how you goin’ through wit tha beat on tha hook! I like how you say, “shiid,” on tha 1st verse; somewhat-good shit goin’ on, here. I like how you start tha 2nd verse off wit “Louisiana;” aight rhymes goin’ on, here, although a lil’ typical… My Rating: 3.6


11. “Pimp’n”
>>> This ain’t too bad, either; I like tha different topic you got goin’ on, here, “pimp’n” style, lol. Not really much ta say; tha hook’s catchy, even though I’m sure it’s Soundclick style. My Rating: 3.4


12. “I Got 2 Get Her”
LOL, I luv tha capitalized shit! >>> Sounds catchy; I like how this beat sounds and this title, lol! More of a ‘I’m tryna get this girl’-type joint that sounds good; keep this catchy shit up! Someone’ll get you based off somethin’ catchy like this! Tha 2nd verse has a lil’ bit of a Wayne/Drake-soundin’ flow dat I can’t really go for that much, but your perspective’s keepin’ me in-tune. Nothin’ much wit tha outro, here… My Rating: 3.8


13. “Dn’t Size Me Up”
LOL @ tha capitalized shit again; it always catches me off-guard fa an lol, lol! >>> Feelin’ how this sounds fa some reason; sounds like you’re inta tha hook, lol. “I weigh 160;” at least you weigh good! I was always stuck between 108 – 110 but now, I’m usually stuck between 112 – 115, so I’m gainin’ a lil’, at least… Overall, this decent, although it’d prolly become annoyin’ ta others. Damn, you’re startin’ ta get me annoyed wit tha same-soundin’ outro, again… My Rating: 3.5


14. “Hw Fucked Up”
“Homework”? >>> Should be “fucked” on tha title ‘cause of tha tense. I guess this iz anotha one of your shorter-lookin’ titles of “how,” lol. This Vybe beat aight but I don’t think this iz how I would’ve pictured tha beat and song ta come together… I think tha topic of “fucked up” in tha club works but somethin’ about it doesn’t fit for me… My Rating: 2.7


15. “Lala”
Hope it’s a weed song but I doubt it ‘cause I already heard one. >>> Bad intro, even though it sounds like an “intro.” LOL, Britney Spears “If U Seek Amy” beat… or, sample, I should say, lol; who would’ve thought that Louisiana native (lol) would appear in a Baton Rouge CD? I like how this beat and tha sample sounds, although some of tha lyrics sound cheesy and tha volume quality’s kinda loud… Even though you said, “smokin’ on dat lala,” I wouldn’t consider this a weed song. BTW, ironic dat this was short, too, lol. My Rating: 3.2


Overall: Not wack, here, although some of tha shit could’ve been betta… I think you did a fairly-good job; there are people I reviewed in tha past that are beyond-wack! ‘Preciate tha discovery and keep doin’ ya thang! I would say, drop tha repetitive intro/outro thing, though.
