Review #1,860: Juvenile "Being Myself (Remixed)"

Reviewed on 11.28.2019 (Review #1,860)

Got so much shit goin’ on, as I try to keep it together…! Just gotta keep prayin’ fa betta dayz…! Fa now, here goes my next review, in my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon: Juvenile Being Myself (Remixed), released in 1999 on Warlock Records & was produced by M.A.T.E.! Due to being all messed up, anything I previously reviewed’s just gettin’ a current rating. Start Time: 2:16 PM | End Time: 2:26 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “If You’re A Player”
>>> Sounds like a ‘90s hip-hop/R&B vibe, here, in tha beat… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds good, fa a playa anthem… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like you’re holdin’ tha party down, as always… You deliverin’ tha 2nd verse pretty nicely, as well; good shit… My Rating: 4.0

02. “U Can’t Come Around”
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ G-Funk track… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it don’t even sound like you… Either way, it sounds good wit what they deliverin’… Tha hook sounds good; nice lil’ street anthem, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s good, despite it not bein’ Juvie… Lol, tha 3rd verse sounds like some1 tryna wish fa you back? Weird, with this mysterious dude rappin’… My Rating: 3.9

03. “Conversation With The Man Above”
My Current Rating: 4.0

04. “Sling It To Tha Back”
My Current Rating: 4.2

05. “Somethin’ I Forgot”
My Current Rating: 4.3

½time: Not really you, Juvie, but a 4.1-rated CD, so far… I’ll say, this a nice lil’ gangsta-soundin’ LA shit from tha ‘90s, here…

06. “G-ing Men”
My Current Rating: 4.7

07. “Powder Bag”
My Current Rating: 4.6

08. “Betcha 20 Dollars (Bounce II)”
My Current Rating: 4.4

09. “Pass-Azz Nigga”
My Current Rating: 4.4

10. Outro
>>> Lol, “Here’s an intro?” Thought this was an outro…? Still, it sounds nice fa somethin’ that sounds like an “intro.” My Rating: N/A

Overall: Not really you, Juvie, though tha repeatin’ tracks of Being Myself helped this be somethin’ worth it, I guess?
