Finally
on tha house arrest system & am a lil’ more caught up with some of tha
things I needed to do, b4 tha year ends… For now, back to my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon: Kane & Abel Rise To Power, released in 1999 on Elektra Entertainment & Most
Wanted Records. Start Time: 6:20 AM
| End Time: 7:21 AM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song;
anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m
listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have
auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider
‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

“Rise To Power”
Producer:
The Medicine Men
>>>
Sounds like good production; nice lil’ intro & 1st verse goin’
on, here… Tha hook sounds pretty political, as well as a lil’ bit of a
Jamaican-soundin’ flow? Nice… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty
nice; good shit… I like how “Boss Playa” makes a random appearance about tha
“weed” & says, “Nigga, hit dis shit!” Of course, “Illegal business controls
America!”
An “illegal business” got me in trouble & now, they’re facin’ some
controversy, as we speak! Karma’s a bitch!! My Rating: 4.2

verse from Boss Playa & it’s soundin’ jammin’; great undaground vibes,
here…! Hook sounds pretty upbeat, as well; go get it! Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse and it’s good; gotta luv this undaground, borderline-mainstream vibe! Got
Ghinn on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit some nice shit; all
about da gutta life of tha 5-0-4! My
Rating: 4.2

“Beat It Up” feat. Skandalust
Producer:
The Medicine Men
>>>
Definitely diggin’ tha bunny-jumpin’ beat sound! Hearin’ tha 1st
verse and it’s nice; “ass” censored? Porque?
Damn! Random clean version… Still, it’s an okay, jammin’-soundin’ flow… Tha
hook sounds good; all about a club banga… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and
this jammin’ flow continues… Got Skandulust on tha 3rd verse, comin’
through wit some nice shit; aggressive! My
Rating: 4.0
07.
“Straight Thuggin’” feat. Twista & Solé
Producer:
C. “Tricky” Stewart

wit tha rhymes; good shit… Solé a female, here, on tha 3rd verse,
comin’ through wit nice rhymes; good shit, as well… My Rating: 4.1

Sounds like a good lil’ anthem, on a regular note; nice hook & beat…
Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s for tha “club,” here; good shit… Got
tha 2nd verse goin’ on, soundin’ pretty nice; props fa keepin’ it

10.
“I Don’t Care” feat. Aaron Hall
Producer:
The Medicine Men
>>>
An okay beat, here, on a slower tip… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it
sounds okay/good wit these rhymes… Bringin’ anotha non-Louisiana artist on tha
track, here (Aaron Hall) but it’s good with tha singin’, on tha hook… Hearin’
tha 2nd verse and it’s ehh…; a lil’ boring but not too bad… A long
amount of singin’, afta tha 2nd hook… I’ono, I guess tha boringness
continues… My Rating: 3.7
½time: Most of this CD’s goin’
in tha same direction, as far as excitement/scores… Keep up tha great work,
guys! A 4.1-rated
CD, so far…!

Here comes tha 3rd part of tha 1st verse, soundin’ nice;
all about tha streetz! Good job, Boss Playa! Here comes tha 2nd

“Show Me What Cha Workin’ With”
Producer:
The Medicine Men
>>>
Sounds good wit mo energy ta offer, here; nice hook…! Hearin’ tha 1st

tha grind up! I know how it be! Anotha one wit quick verses, just like tha last
song! Good; keep it goin’! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice, as well;
what else ta say about good energy? Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd
verse, soundin’ nice, once again… My
Rating: 4.2
15.
“This Life”
Producer:
The Medicine Men
>>>
Sounds a lil’ depressin’ on tha hook, as well as semi-plain on tha beat, here…
Tha chick singin’ ain’t bad but let’s see what else “this” has ta offer…
Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s not up my alley, with this
real-life/struggle content… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and
this sounds rough, wit tha content; “goin’ ta Hell?” Why…? Mo shit comin’ outta
tha 3rd verse, here… Once again, this ain’t really up my alley… My Rating: 2.7
16.
Lock Me Up (Interlude)
>>>
Goes well with tha previous song, with its sad vibe… My Rating: N/A

A lil’ on tha slow tip, this time… Hearin’ tha singer on tha hook and it’s

Beat good fa tha streetz, here, as well as Lunatic on tha intro… Hearin’ tha

it’s a scope on tha streetz wit these rhymes; not bad… Got tha 2nd
verse goin’ on, here & it’s okay; just regular-soundin’ rappin’ fa me… My Rating: 3.8

Fa’real?
>>> A lil’ weird; prolly would appreciate it more if I was Puerto
