Only got two CDs left in ’99, b4 I hit tha new millennium of ’00! Can’t believe I finally made it to tha 2000’s; seems like forever! This next review iz no stranger to tha marathon: Young Bleed My Own, released in 1999 on Priority Records! Start Time: 10:07 PM | End Time: 10:58 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

>>> Sounds like a nice intro, as well as tha beat, here… Feelin’ your rhymes on tha verse, here; clever & catchy, I’ll say! Nice lil’ outro, as well; good shit… My Rating: 4.3

>>> Sounds like a laidback, smooth-soundin’ beat… Hearin’ tha intro from you & you set this slow tone, here… Likin’ your flow & style on tha 1^st verse, here; cool vibe fa tha ‘90s… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2^nd verse, soundin’ nice, as well; good shit… My Rating: 3.9

03. “Trecherous”

>>> Sounds dope wit tha organ in tha beginning of tha beat, here…! Got tha 1^st verse goin’ on, here & it’s good; keep tha rhymes up…! I like your line, “This TV don’t show these boyz in tha hood;” interestin’, as far as tha rest of this shit…! My Rating: 4.0

Congrats ta $hort fa bein’ a dad at age 53, recently! All about takin’ time! >>> Sounds like a nice beat fa tha south, here & how you comin’ through on tha 1^st verse…! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good; all about tha good timin’! Got $hort on tha 2^nd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice wit his west coast flava, as usual…! Likin’ how he took ova tha 2^nd hook, as well; good twist! Back ta you on tha 3^rd verse, here, comin’ through wit nice rhymes, once again…! My Rating: 4.2

05. “All They Lef’ Me Wuz Da Streets” feat. Gram & Jennifer Brumfield

>>> A slower vibe, here; let’s see what’s good… Diggin’ your flow pace on tha 1^st verse, here; regular, fast & somewhat-slow! Keep tha uniqueness up! Hearin’ tha hook wit tha double dose of singin’ & it sounds good fa a slow track, I must say…; nice… Got tha Gram dude on tha 2^nd verse, here, spittin’ some nice rhymes, in a calm way; not bad… Mo from dat Gram dude on tha 3^rd verse, this time, spittin’ some okay rhymes. At this point, my interest’s wearin’ off, as this kinda on tha sad tip, which ain’t really fa me… Almost sounds like a movie scene’s music, toward tha end, as well as tha rain; interestin’… My Rating: 3.2

06. “A Husla” feat. Daz Dillinger & Lay-Lo

>>> Sounds like anotha slow vibe? At least we got Daz on tha 1^st verse, comin’ through wit some nice shit, from tha west… Got some singin’ on tha hook dat sounds like Pimp C, here; not bad… Hearin’ tha 2^nd verse & it sounds nice wit Lay-Lo’s J-Von, spittin’ some nice shit fa tha 225 hoodz… Tha 2^nd part of tha 2^nd verse iz Max Minelli, from Lay-Lo, of course; flossin’ & holdin’ tha streetz down…! Got you on tha 3^rd verse, Bleed & you got good advice/rhymes fa tha streetz, as well; nice job! “Roll a fat one…;” definitely! My Rating: 4.1

½time: Sounds great fa this release, so far; great job, Bleed! You know what it iz fa holdin’ down Baton Rouge, in its earlier dayz! A 4.0-rated CD, so far; keep up tha great work!

>>> Sounds like a nice beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1^st verse & it sounds good wit your rapid-soundin’ rhymes… Hearin’ tha hook & it sound cool; gotta have “No Disrespect,” as far as how you handle yo bidness; definitely! Here comes tha 2^nd verse from tha Deuce N …Da Youngtymaz, soundin’ nice & rapid; nice contribution…! Got tha 3^rd verse goin’ on, here, from mo of tha Deuce dudes & it sounds just as good as tha 2^nd verse; nice job, here…! My Rating: 4.2

>>> Sounds like a cool lil’ track, I guess? Hearin’ tha 1^st verse & it’s not bad, here… Yeah, “blow dat doe-doe,” dude; good shit! Tha hook sounds nice wit just tha keys in tha beat ta lay it down; good thinkin’… Hearin’ tha 2^nd verse & it sounds great wit this “anotha day in tha life” shit fa tha hood, here; good shit… Got tha 3^rd verse, here & it ain’t bad, as you keep this shit goin’… My Rating: 4.0

Hearin’ tha 2^nd verse & you spittin’ some nice shit fa tha dark tales of tha Rouge; good shit… Got tha 3^rd verse goin’ on, here & it sounds nice ta hear, as well; great job… My Rating: 4.1

Tha hook sounds catchy wit y’all on it; definitely tha motive! Got you on tha 2^nd verse, here, comin’ through wit tha cool vibes; definitely a plus, here…! Here comes Knuckles on tha 3^rd verse, here, “blowin’ on hay;” nice…! Nice contribution, as well; great job, y’all! My Rating: 4.2

Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good; I feel what you bringin’, here… Hearin’ tha 2^nd verse & it’s nice; great job wit what you bringin’… I like your “pages of [your] book of life,” as well; keep addin’ to tha “book!” Got tha 3^rd verse goin’ on, here & I’m likin’ that y’all want ‘em to “write tha Pope,” here; nice thinkin’… My Rating: 4.2

>>> Sounds like we’re ending with a slow song, here; I’ono… Hearin’ tha 1^st verse & it sounds str8 wit what you’re bringin’… “Life goes on, until you find your destination;” that’s what I’m in tha process of doin’, as I get outta this trouble, ya dig?! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s too sappy/sad fa me, wit how it’s sung… Tha 2^nd verse iz here & you also got dealt tha “2x felon” card, as well? That shit’s rough ta beat but when you beat it, you good in one sense, tho gainin’ strength in anotha way… Sounds okay wit what you bringin’ to tha 3^rd verse, here; too slow fa me ta really like. I do admit, tha G-Funk sound in tha beat’s nice, tho… My Rating: 2.6

Overall: Most of this was good. Nothin’ popped off too excitin’ fa me, fa me ta really love. Either way, you a legend in tha BR scene; glad you keepin’ these records goin’!
