Up
next, I have a review for New Orleans / Winnfield / Jonesboro slain rapper, Lil’ Snupe, who was signed with Meek
Mill’s Dream Chasers Records. I finna review his R.N.I.C. CD, but before I
do, I originally wasn’t gonna review it ‘til I found out he was a Louisiana rapper. You
know, I get my Louisiana CD reviewz in! Snupe was slain on June 20, 2013. He
actually was tha 3rd person from Louisiana that died right before my
birthday, this year. I’ll take tha bad luck, as I was ‘pose to go to Cali soon after, and
found out on my birthday that tha trip got fucked up, so I can feel for this
bad luck… It was tha day after I found out about Snupe through Big Josh (Chef
Joshua Thomas on Facebook), from Baton
Rouge, through a freestyle. Now, after two months, I
finna see if he was worth somethin’ or not… Start Time: 1:15 PM | End
Time: 1:46 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything
after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening
to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or
talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’
topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I
was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much
you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done
business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

01.
“Take Over” Feat. DJ Khaled
I
dunno about tha feature, here… >>> Blah, blah, blah @ Khaled… Sounds
like a different version of Bro-Bro…; sounds like he was expectin’ ta die wit
all these “shooting” references? Consistent rhymes, but why all tha positive
rhymes? Not exactly fa me. Sounds like, for what was an 18-year-old, tha
easiest life, based off all these instant-earning rhymes? Because this just a
freestyle, this iz startin’ ta sound like braggin’ toward tha 2:00 mark… Yucky
outro from Khaled! LOL @ him cursing!! My
Rating: 3.2
02.
Life Skit
>>>
I would’ve thought this was in tha perspective of a 20/30-year-old, but you
only iz a teenager… My Rating: N/A
03.
“Nobody” Feat. Meek Mill
>>>
Almost thought it was Keith Sweat’s song on tha hook… Sounds like a nice
perspective, but now, it’s Nate Dogg? Since Nate’s not on tha feature, I assume
that this iz jacked, smh? I appreciate your hungry rhymes on tha 1st
verse; I’ll give it a plus. Also, Meek on tha 2nd verse; good
rhymes, from a mix of paranoia and success. My Rating: 3.8
04.
“So Tired” Feat. Twinn U & Jay Knoxx
>>>
Almost was gonna think it was a boring hook, but it’s got a nice, ‘90s feel to
it. Good rhymes from tha 1st verse, here, from tha featured rapper…
Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit a road ta Heaven,
based off your “chase”? Like, what age were you gon quit tha dope game? My Rating: 3.9
05.
“In Tha Air (Freestyle)”
No…
>>> This song almost nine years old; why people still rappin’ on it?
Gotta take off fa dat! Good rhymes; pretty mean! My Rating: 2.8
06.
“I’m That Nigga Now”
>>> Some original, Louisiana production, here: Deezy On Da Beat. Glad you got tha original production, this time! You even knew who “Kevin Gates” was, here? I dunno about quoting “Satellites” so much, here; sounds like you’re obsessed… Once you said, “Bitch, I’m gettin’ money,” shit’s startin’ ta sound boring wit tha lyrics… Yea, 2nd verse iz here, and I’ve had enough of these typical lyrics! My Rating: 3.0

07.
“Ballin’” Feat. Trae Tha Truth
>>>
More beats from Deezy, here. Bet most of your fans ain’t know who dat iz! Beat
sounds nice, and now, it sounds like you have a complete H-Town perspective wit
what you rappin’ ‘bout, here, lol… Tha hook sounds a lil’ catchy, here; sounds
a lil’ random, too… Here we go wit Trae on tha 2nd verse (why tha
“Tha Truth” in his name, now? Does someone else have his name? Not really
diggin’ all this “truth”, “real”, “best”, etc. names). Kinda sounds like a
random appearance fa a song like this. I can see if it was 100% on a swangin’
level, it would fit. But, it just sounds like a deep voice from tha undaground,
outta nowhere. Oh, a skit toward tha end… Sounds nice, and then, back to tha
song… My Rating: 3.4
½time: So far, an average CD,
but as far as tha songs, it’s gettin’ closer to a below-average rating fa me.
Only at a 3.4,
so far… I mean, I do like tha ‘90s vibes, but things need to pick up; maybe, I
gotta get used ta this shit? Some of tha lyrics need ta be better and not about
what others be rappin’ ‘bout.
08.
“Neva Change” Feat. Tay
>>>
Deezy holdin’ down these beats! I like tha ‘90s feel, once again! This sounds
like a nice song; good, real shit, includin’ tha hook… Tay
iz on tha final verse, here, and it sounds like an
easy-ta-get-them-out-they-draws dude… Good, but tha lyric mix iz very random,
switchin’ to a “weapon”? My Rating: 4.0
09.
“X Bitch”
>>> Damn, anotha Deezy beat; talk about exposure… Hmm, not feelin’ tha lyrics at all. What’s wit all this “Facebook” shit? That ain’t street! And, why iz it repeatin’, like, 4x?! So, that was ½ tha song? It picks up durin’ tha verse wit your rapid-fire rhymes, but I ain’t feelin’ tha lyrics at all! My Rating: 3.3

10.
“Tonight” Feat. Curren$y
>>>
More Deezyness, here… I dunno about “Freestyle King;” I think we’ll save dat fa
tha New York
rappers. Like, I remember tha Jae Millz from ’03; that’s what I like wit freestylin’! Aggression!! As far as
this, it just sounds like random rhymes on tha 1st verse… Even down
ta $y: Very random, here and there, but it ain’t too bad… My Rating: 3.5
11.
“Melo”
>>> Good hook. Sounds like you’re on your grind wit this kinda song… Ehh, sounds like success just blew up outta nowhere. Not really tha type of songs I go for, since it sounds like braggin’. “Talkin’ to D. Jackson;” did D. Jackson produce this, or was it someone else? My Rating: 3.6

12.
“No Games”
>>> Okay, I like this kinda beat. Damn, you said, “Mista Cain;” you even know that random rapper, too? Did you eva think of talkin’ ta me ‘cause I’m way older than you? I’m feelin’ tha rhymes and aggression, this time; this one gets my props. Very good, especially tha “minimum wage” / “minimum dayz” part! My Rating: 4.4

“Headed Str8 To The Top”
>>> Deezy supplyin’ mo beatz fa you, here, and it fits! Nice and consistent rhymes; startin’ ta feel this CD! Great “nigga” parts ‘round :50! Tha rest of this iz consistent; tha hook’s a lil’ cheesy/mainstream for me, though, wit tha repeatin’… My Rating: 4.3

14.
“Put ‘Em Up” Feat. Big Poppa
Actually,
there’s only one “G” in Big Poppa’s name. >>> Not sure who this
“Swang” iz “on tha beat;” not into beat tags… Weird collabo? Sounds very random wit how Big Poppa sounds on
this hook, mixed wit this beat; doesn’t match well fa me! Hearin’ you on tha 1st
verse, and it sounds good, but I’m gettin’ thrown off wit all these fast-ass
rhymes, these dayz… Damn, Pop even has a verse on this? Good rhymes, but I
can’t take that much of this too serious… My
Rating: 2.9
Overall: Seemed like a mixed
review fa me… Good rapper, but there’s too much focus on what’s ‘cool’ and wayz
to fit in… Other than that, this was a good effort.
