Reviewed on 5.22.2011 (Review #942)
My 5th review today iz from Solo Records artist Lil’ Pee Da Realist “Da Heart Of A Soulja Mixtape Vol. 1”. BTW, why you gotta have “Da Realist” (“realist” spelled wrong from “realest”, no less) in your name? I thought you were just “Lil’ Pee”? Start Time: 6:28 PM | End Time: 6:47 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Da Heart Of A Soulja”
Too back tha back cover’s blurry as fuck. >>> Sounds above average from typical shit I’d hear; lol @ tha hook—I like how you sound, here. Tha flow sounds extremely random, at times, when it comes ta timing on tha beat although I’m feelin’ what you spittin’ ‘bout tha lames. My Rating: 3.7
02. “G-Force Fly”
>>> This iz too typical for me to really enjoy; I’ll leave it at dat. My Rating: 2.9
03. “I Think I’m Me”
>>> Damn, here we go wit tha gay-ass Rick Ross flow! Glad you’re you but this flow needs to improve; sounds off-beat! My Rating: 3.0
04. “Hard Headed”
>>> Even though these songs are aight/below average, at least they’re not that long (under three minutes); can’t stand when wack rappers have 4+ minute songs of bullshit! Anyway, tha flow’s tha same but tha content’s good about how you entered a fucked-up life? My Rating: 3.4
05. “Free Boo”
“Boo”sie, lol? >>> Okay, at least it’s some “Boo” du—neva mind, it iz “Boosie,” rofl! LOL @ makin’ a song fa Boosie; sounds somewhat funny but then again, only aight ‘cause of tha flow. My Rating: 3.2
06. Boosie Speech
>>> ROFL, a continuation? I like how you sound on tha mic; glad you got luv fa me. I like how you keep sayin’, “you know.” My Rating: N/A
07. “Gansta Talk”
>>> Sounds like I might have more interest in dis… I like tha street content you have for tha topic and tha rappin’ aight, too; thumbs up wit tha catchy hook! My Rating: 3.8
08. “Shut It Down”
>>> ROFL, a Mod Productions beat; you sound a lil’ like Lil’ Ganggsta since this Mod Productions perspective iz here, lol! LOL, where’s tha energy? “I grab dat 40;” wit a line like dat, as well as dis title and hook, there needs to be energy and not dis boring, repetitive flow! Could’ve been a good song if there was some *umph!* in it! My Rating: 3.1
09. “Motivated”
>>> Not this T-Pain shit…; no interest. My Rating: 2.2
½time: Decent for you, so far; 3.2.
10. “I Ain’t Livin’ Right” Feat. Lil’ Bibby
>>> Jeezy sample in tha hook but this sounds pretty good. Oh no, almost a four-minute song? I’d keep tha lengths short so tha songs don’t get boring. Once again, somewhat-good content but there needs to be energy in tha flow when this shit has ta do wit street shit! I luv how Lil’ Bibby says, “nigga;” he seems to ace dat word and I’m glad I’m cool wit him, too. Damn, “I got a half o’ pound;” tight shit… My Rating: 3.5
11. “Best I Ever Had”
>>> Yawn; should skip, especially wit tha original hook! Listenin’ to your part and my interest iz at zero. My Rating: 1.2
12. “Under-Estimated”
>>> I like your perspective on feelin’ “under-estimated;” aight hook… Typical flow from you, here, so my rating prolly gon be typical, too. My Rating: 3.3
13. “Dem Hands”
>>> Good, small length, here. Damn, again, you have fightin’/club lyrics wit no energy? My Rating: 3.0
14. “Take A Chance”
>>> Nothin’ really special fa me; typical, mainstream-soundin’ music. My Rating: 2.7
15. “Street Credit”
Not really likin’ these titles… >>> Sounds a lil’ like Plies in tha beginning; ugh… Without tha extra/called-for *umph!*, this only plain/below average for me… My Rating: 2.8
16. “Red & Yellow” Feat. Lil’ Bibby
Yes, Lil’ Bibby, although my interest iz a lil’ low! >>> You’re decent and Bibby’s a lil’ betta, but still on a decent/below average level fa me. My Rating: 2.6
17. “Crazy World”
>>> SMH @ a Tupac beat! When I hear Tupac beats, words like “real” or “credit” frequently, or shit like dat, certain feelings come into question for me. Once again, if you ain’t gon put dat energy into tha track, I ain’t gon feel it. Also, there were shortened lengths on this CD—which was nice—but what’s up wit tha long-ass beat outro? My Rating: 2.1
18. Outro
>>> Ooh, an outro from you. Despite this bein’ a lil’ below average from me, I gotta luv how you sound when you talk and shit—you and Bibby. I’d die if I hear my name shouted out, lol… My Rating: N/A
Overall: You really need some energy. Also, tha gurls on tha mixtape cover don’t fit tha whole “soulja” theme, in my opinion; it’s just a typical addition dat everyone has to be cool. But, I gon put you above all tha rappers dat I reviewed, recently, dat sucked!
