Review #9 for today iz Vintage Committee “Get Yo Checks Up Vol. 1”. Damn, anotha title wit money in it? Does dat give me a sign of what I’m expectin’? Start Time: 9:23 PM | End Time: 9:40 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “What You Came Fa”
I like tha “fa” in tha title. >>> Good beat although tha “make it rain” shit and tha mixin’ kinda threw me off “fa” a second… LOL @ startin’ wit a “club” song off tha bat. “I be fulla bars;” what dat like? You remember date and time it first happened to you (whoeva said dat line)? Nothin’ new wit tha content so it’s nothin’ new and excitin’, but it’s aight. My Rating: 3.6


02. “Fa Everybody”
LOL @ anotha “fa” title! >>> SMH @ how tha hook started; I could hear tha quality change once tha 1st bar in tha hook started. This may be “fa everybody” in your opinion but it’s not really “fa” me; too typical wit this “fuckin’”-type shit dat I’ve heard from, like, every rapper? My Rating: 3.4


03. “Let Me Thru”
>>> What’s up wit all tha air raid sirens and shit? I’ve heard shit 10x hotter and they didn’t have any sirens… Funny dat dis iz a pill-related song; sounds good—not sure what ta exactly make of dis… Tha rhymes are good fa it havin’ a club perspective; not sure what else ta say since I’ve heard many club songs… My Rating: 3.7


04. “Roof (Remake)” Feat. Beezy Bird
>>> No…, more like “Straight Stupid” remake! I wasn’t gonna comment on tha song but tha crowd caught my attention. Damn, low quality bars, at times? Sounds nearly like da Ville Boyz, only they betta. My Rating: 4.0


05. “Whip My Hair”
>>> SM”Hair”! Why you wanna freestyle on a lil’ girl’s song? Rhymes are nothin’ new, either and this iz not considered a “freestyle” fa me! My Rating: 1.7


06. “Acapella”
>>> Dat stupid siren again… Glad it’s “acapella” but could’ve been betta wit tha rhymes, lol? Where’s tha extended vocabulary? My Rating: 3.5


07. “Rudeboy”
>>> I honestly thought this was gonna be Rihanna’s beat but smh @ jackin’ Kevin Gates wit his “heater!” Some of tha rhymes sound good, at times; glad you passed “tha blunt ta Lil’ Issue,” lol. My Rating: 3.7


½time: Aight; thought it would be worse but it’s a 3.4-rated CD, currently.


08. “Like A Gun”
>>> Okay but too much shit about y’alls “dick,” lol? Still dislikin’ these quality decreases in tha middle of tha song… My Rating: 3.0


09. “Make It Rain”
>>> Yawn…; at least tha original hook ain’t on here! My Rating: 1.1


10. “Nike’s On My Feet”
>>> What was up wit tha first six seconds? Damn, what’s up wit dis Nas shit? I thought y’all represented fa Louisiana? Sample’s aight but tha lyrics sound too kiddy fa me. My Rating: 2.1


11. “All I Want Is You”
>>> Anotha yawn fa tha beat and no title change… SMH @ havin’ tha original in here!! My Rating: 1.0


12. “One Night Thing”
>>> Aight for a mainstream audience but not me. My Rating: 2.4


13. “Ack Like Dis”
>>> How in tha hell y’all transition from dat wack streak ta somethin’ good like “dis”? Some lyrics are boring but at least it sounds like a good, 225-type joint. However, I feel like dis iz cheatin’, a lil’ bit, ‘cause there was a bunch of wack shit on here. Once again, what’s up wit tha quality changes? My Rating: 3.7


14. “I’on Fuck Witchu”
>>> What tha hell was tha first coupla seconds? ROFL… I would like dis a lil’ betta if it was by someone else but this easily iz tha best song on here; good energy and good for a solo song? My Rating: 4.3
