Tha 10th review I got today iz a 2008 CD: Lil’ Black & Lil’ Jami “Dummy Retarded”. Start Time: 9:55 PM | End Time: 10:11 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Solo Dolo”
>>> Damn, anotha CD wit air raid sirens… However, this iz pretty nice from what I’m hearin’ as far as holdin’ tha hook down. Tha 1st verse sounds like a Level relative wit tha flow? Sounds a lil’ like Dog & Tech, too; interestin’ mix… Tha 2nd verse sounds like a young Level, once again, fa Lil’ Jami. Although some of tha content iz typical and played out (e.g., “hoes”), this iz betta than average, at least, when it comes ta tha whole song. Tha collaboration from tha both of y’all on tha 3rd verse iz nice wit tha gangsta shit… My Rating: 3.9


02. “Close Range”
>>> Damn, a lot of mixin’ in tha beginning? SMH @ tha “loggin’ in on Facebook” beginning! Now, dis sounds like a Young Ready flow, lol. Good lil’ song, overall, wit tha content but iz this really ’08? “Level ‘In Dat Thang’” iz 2009 and after; I’m confused… My Rating: 4.1


03. “We ‘Bout That Dumbshit”
>>> SMH @ tha “Put Your Hands Up In The Air” sample, sped up, lol. As far as what’s goin’ on here, sounds like a typical jigg-type song; what else could I say? My Rating: 3.7


04. “We Go Boosie”
What? Oh no… >>> I guess it iz ’11, which iz weird ‘cause tha album cover says, “2008.” Quick made a song like dis; why I gotta hear dis a 2nd time? “Rollin’ on dem pillz;” tell me date and time you first started—now!! My Rating: 3.6


05. “Been Pussy”
LOL @ this random perspective! >>> I like tha perspective; nice song fa tha BR streetz. My Rating: 4.0


06. “Dumb On Retarded Shit”
>>> Once again, good… My Rating: 3.8


½time: Although most of tha music sounds tha same, y’all keepin’ this a lil’ on tha consistent side; 3.9 for tha CD rating.


07. “Sneak Who”
>>> Good, too; WTF @ 6:51 on tha length!! Why??? Wayyyyy too long but once again, good wit tha gangsta content, if all it’s true. My Rating: 3.5


08. “Top Notch”
>>> LOL, iz dat a Mouse sample on tha hook? Sounds entertainin’, on a faster level! My Rating: 3.9


09. “My Mode”
>>> This a lil’ mainstream wit how tha hook and beat sounds… Overall, this ain’t dat bad but a lil’ Poppy wit dat hook. My Rating: 3.0


10. “Get Messy”
>>> Sounds familiar wit tha “you bucked up…” start; funny, entertainin’, good song, here, lol. My Rating: 4.2


11. “1 On 1”
>>> I’m likin’ tha beat start but why tha hell it 5:35? Tha hook’s tight; likin’ dis “1 on 1” shit and lol @ tha same content, once again! I guess I’ll neva hear anything personal from y’all, huh, lol? A lotta “bruh” parts, lol? Gotta feel it! My Rating: 4.1


12. “Out The Gate”
>>> Damn @ all this mixin’ in tha beginning! Beat sounds pretty interestin’ wit tha sounds goin’ on! LOL, this representation sounds funny; automatically, y’all just represent where y’all from hard? How’d y’all automatically live in a hood fulla Rap luvaz? Anotha song dat sounds like dis CD… My Rating: 3.9


13. “It’s Over”
>>> Tha rhymes are aight; tha hook iz a lil’ on tha aight/below average level fa me. Overall, this izn’t really anything special fa me. My Rating: 2.9


Overall: Not bad but a lot of it sounded tha same…
