Got a lil’ delayed ‘cause my dad came over… Anyway, my next review for this Gunplay day iz for Triple C’s Custom Cars & Cycles, released back on October 27, 2009, on Maybach Music Group & Def Jam Recordings. Triple C’s are Rick Ross, Gunplay, Young Breed & Torch. Start Time: 1:58 PM | End Time: 3:18 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

01. “Custom Cars & Clips”

Almost tha name of this CD, but not quite. Either way, definitely lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this one! >>> Sounds catchy; feelin’ tha upliftin’ “car” attitude fa tha hook, here, as well as tha beat! Time ta start off wit Ricky on tha 1^st verse…; ehh, blabberin’… Here’s Gunplay on tha 2^nd verse, comin’ through wit dat consistency, as far as tha rhymes go! Got dat boy Torch on tha 3^rd verse, here, comin’ through, supplyin’ his peoples; good shit! Shit yea, some Young Breed on tha 4^th verse; gotta luv his dreads—same goes fa Gunplay’s hair! He got dat focus; of course, gotta “smell tha purple!” Good shit, Breed! My Rating: 4.3

02. “White Sand”

Diggin’ tha title; let’s hear this cocaine-lookin’ anthem! >>> Catchy beat and hook; gotta luv it!! Ricky on tha 1^st verse; kinda braggin’, once again, fa how this sounds… LOL @ Gunplay startin’ tha 2^nd verse off: “White-white-wa-wa-white…!” Great human-mixing, lol! Definitely feelin’ how he comin’ through on this shit; good job, even with some females gettin’ attention! Of course, Torch’s 3^rd, comin’ through in tha “white house;” reminds me of bein’ at Kings Park! Shit yea, some Young Breed on tha 4^th verse and no, we’re not “on tha beach;” tell ‘em!! Gangsta shit wit tha “white sheets” shit, too! A nice, repetitive way ta end this wit tha hook repeatin’, lol… My Rating: 4.4

03. “Break It Down” Feat. Bun B
>>> Cold, instant start wit Gunplay on tha hook, breakin’ “it down” nicely! Feelin’ how he comin’ through, includin’ tha beat! And, he even on tha 1^st verse, comin’ through wit some street shit, always! “Strategically make moves;” nice way ta describe your “grind,” Gunplay! LOL, got Bun B on tha 2^nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some nice, southern shit ta keep this shit goin’! “These niggaz greener than my muthafuckin’ weed sack;” nice one, B!! Of course, Ricky had ta be on this, on tha 3^rd verse… Boring fa me; I’d rather hear Breed or Torch, of course (lol @ tha rhymin’)! My Rating: 4.2

04. “Go” Feat. Birdman & Schife

Let’s hear this… >>> Sounds like some Young Money/Cash Money-like production, here… Tha hook ain’t too bad from (I assume) that Schife dude… No @ Ross on tha 1^st verse; can’t get away from him!! Yes!! Gunplay on tha 2^nd verse, and even though he started tha verse off wit, “I love money!!,” at least there’s consistent rhymes! Lightin’ a torch fa Torch on tha 3^rd verse, here; just luv how he comes through wit it! Definitely diggin’ his style! My Rating: 4.1

05. “We Gettin’ It” Feat. Schife

Let’s hear it! >>> Anotha catchy hook from Schife; I’m also diggin’ tha more-uptempo beat! Ross on tha 1^st verse, here; of course, not really for me, but he sounds good on this fast beat! Ooh, Gunplay on tha 2^nd verse, wit “a big bag of whoa nah!!;” gotta luv tha “whoa nah!!” Good shit; these verses seem quick—obviously, it’s a faster song! Yes, Torch on tha 3^rd verse, feelin’ good on this track! Nice job, of course! There’s room fa a 4^th verse; *prays for Young Breed to be on tha 4^th verse…* Yes, my prayers are answered!! He feelin’ good; hope ta meet him, Gunplay & Torch, one day! I’ll be in Florida one of these months; aiming fa June… My Rating: 4.4

06. “Trick’n Off” Feat. Gucci Mane & Drumma Boy

Don’t think I’ve eva heard Drumma Boy rap or anythang. Anyway, 6:22 on tha length, so this has ta have a lot ta offer!! >>> Gucci on tha hook? Maybe, Drumma Boy; they sound alike? I know this him on tha 1^st verse, comin’ through, braggin’… Ross on tha 2^nd verse, here; yeah, yeah, yeah, as well… My boy Breed on tha 3^rd verse, here, feelin’ good! Just luv how he comes through! “I’m good in each and err hood!!” He sounds like he neva has any problems in life, and that’s tha perspective!! Got tha 2^nd ½ of tha 3^rd verse from Torch, here; CCC’s in tha buildin’, lol!! Finally, Gunplay on tha 4^th verse: “Call it” a great verse, once again! Crazy, continuous, consistent rhymes from him, here; how you like dem C’s, lol?! Good outro, too… “Where Gun at? Where Torch at? Where Breed at?” Tell ‘em!! My Rating: 4.0

07. “Throw It In The Sky”

Let’s hear it, too! >>> Beat sounds nice; definitely diggin’ this vibe, despite it bein’ a money song! Though Ross’ on tha 1^st verse, I’m diggin’ his consistent “…in tha sky” shit! Shit yea, Young Breed!! He holdin’ down tha 2^nd verse, and how dare someone “front” on Breed! He tha shit; gotta keep supportin’ him!! Here’s Gunplay on tha 3^rd verse… “Where tha fuck iz tha recession at?” LOL… Quick verse, but it was great! Opened up tha 2^nd ½ of tha 3^rd verse fa my boy, Torch, comin’ through wit a way ta succeed, 24/7! Ehh, verse turned into a 3^rd with Ross continuing…; he prolly should’ve just been in tha beginning ‘cause that was fine enough. My Rating: 4.5

08. “Erryday” Feat. Young Jeezy, Schife & J.W.
Like Jeezy says, “That’s right!!” This looks anticipatin’; lemme hear it!! >>> This iz more on tha “money” tip, as well as tha beat bein’ slower than tha previous one, at a regular, mainstream, southern tempo… Tha hook ain’t bad, here; let’s see what Jeezy got ta offer on tha 1^st verse… Regular shit from him; we know… Already up to tha 2^nd ½ of tha 1^st verse, and it’s Gunplay, comin’ through wit dat cool shit; gotta feel him! Of course, Ross on tha 2^nd verse…; bet he had a boner, waitin’ ta rap on this joint, smh! Yes, more Gunplay on tha 2^nd ½ of tha 2^nd verse, comin’ through wit them rhymes; at least they sound listenable on a topic like “money!” Yes, some Torch on tha 3^rd verse, comin’ through wit dat shit dat motivates you!! “Erryday, I grind!” And, Young Breed on tha 2^nd ½ of tha 3^rd verse; gotta luv him!! An outro, here…; females comin’ through, witnessin’, lol. My Rating: 4.0

½time: Nice lil’ CD, so far; consistency at its finest, despite Ross’ ass! Currently, a 4.2 for tha CD rating!

09. “Customized” Feat. Schife

Let’s see, here… >>> I like tha “customized” theme; nice hook… Bleh, Ross on tha 1^st verse; he’s always first!!! Gunplay on tha 2^nd ½ of tha 1^st verse, comin’ through as, possibly, “a pilot, now?” Good shit; nice rhymes! Dat boy Breed on tha 2^nd verse!! Yes, yes, yes!! What girl wouldn’t wanna “suck” Young Breed?! Or, pull on his kick-ass dreads?! Even sneakin’ in some Torch on tha 2^nd ½ of tha 3^rd verse; gotta feel his consistent deliveries! My Rating: 4.1

10. “Gangsta Shit” Feat. The Game & B-Rock Agee

Let’s see what we got, here… >>> Feelin’ that tha guest features been holdin’ down tha hook; nice shit from B-Rock, as he sounds like a deep-voice “gangsta!” And, we got Game on tha 1^st verse, comin’ through wit a “Dade County” cruise; oh, you’re makin’ me jealous!! Consistent rhymes fa tha streetz; nice job, Game! Ooh, Gunplay on tha 2^nd verse, here, comin’ through, “heavy in tha game!” Of course, Ross had ta come in here, on tha 3^rd verse, comin’ through wit his version of descriptions… Yes, tha 4^th verse iz Torch, comin’ through wit some good shit ta listen to… “Radio rappers on R&B tracks;” why that shit still goin’ on? Gunplay, you betta not go soft and be like dat!! Anyway, Young Breed on tha 5^th verse, and he even said, “fuck shit!” Did he know there’d be a “Fuck Shit” anthem, years later?!? Fuckin’ luv him!!! My Rating: 4.2

11. “Finer Things” Feat. Masspike Miles

Lemme hear… >>> A sample on tha hook, includin’ a singer? Almost sounds like Lloyd or someone… Beat’s okay; Ross on tha 1^st verse makes this sound like a regular song with nothin’ special… That fuckin’ boy, Young Breed, on tha 2^nd verse!! Yea, no need ta “question” him! Torch on tha 3^rd verse: “Tha definition of sacrifice!” Nice rhymes, here! Ooh, Gunplay on tha 4^th verse, “comin’ up” wit some good shit, here! My Rating: 3.9

12. “Chick’n Talk’n” Feat. Mack 10 & Warren G

Lookin’ forward ta this collab! >>> Good West Coast shit from tha legendary Mack 10 on tha 1^st verse; you know it makes you wanna visit tha West! Tha hook sounds good, here, wit Warren G, and then, Ross comes in… Also, Ross on tha 2^nd verse, comin’ through wit…, whateva. We got Gunplay on tha 3^rd verse; tha intelligence iz here! It’s like, he don’t need Ross, but at least Ross gave him access to exposure! Got my boy, Torch, on tha 4^th verse! How’d I know he was gon say, “KFC,” lol? Even “in front of Judge Judy!” Torch, you gon need dat torch ta burn tha ice! Good verse! Got dat boy Breed on tha 5^th verse; “take” dat “chance,” ya dig? Great verse, too! My Rating: 4.2

13. “Diamonds & Maybachs (Pt. 2)” Feat. Suede Royale

Got 7:17 on tha length, here; long, but I’m sure it’ll pay off… >>> Singin’ on tha hook, here; decent, though long… Damn, it’s takin’ long fa tha 1^st verse ta start; not diggin’ this vibe and that sample… Of course, Ross comin’ through on tha 1^st verse; boring… Got Gunplay on tha 2^nd verse, predictin’/knowin’ there’s “a blizzard every season;” thanx, lol, we got 14 inches of snow, here on Long Island, NY! But yea, in your case, props fa attractin’ blizzards, lol! Torch on tha 3^rd verse, comin’ through wit some good shit… “You think you know me? You have no idea;” oh… I’m lookin’ forward ta knowin’ him more, from tha music I finna review! Ooh, Young Breed snuck in on tha 2^nd ½ of tha verse like I ain’t even notice!! He livin’ good; gotta luv what he brings to tha table wit dat voice!! My Rating: 3.7

14. “Hustla” Feat. Masspike Miles

>>> Back to tha Florida version of Lloyd on tha hook, here; not bad, though it’s okay, includin’ tha plain beat. Gunplay on tha 1^st verse, comin’ through wit all these different types! Feelin’ what he bringin’ to tha table, especially dat flow!! So damn catchy!! Yea!! Torch on tha 2^nd verse, wit “tha spirit of a gangsta!” Good shit; gotta luv it! And, iz dat Breed on tha 3^rd verse? Yes!! Breed!! Breed!! Breed!! Breed!! I fuckin’ luv him when he comes through on tha tracks!! Good shit, once again!! While he must “prepare for tha worst,” I definitely “wish [him] tha best!” Ross on tha 4^th verse; lol @ bein’ 4^th! Either way, kinda…—*yawns*—…whateva… My Rating: 3.8

15. “Yams (Pt. 2)” Feat. Yo Gotti

Lookin’ forward ta this collab!! >>> Definitely diggin’ how Yo Gotti’s comin’ through wit it on tha 1^st verse; keep dem drugs comin’!! Always think of “dat cocaine on delivery” when I think of him, now! Tha hook sounds catchy; of course, gotta have those “yams!” “Straight yams!” Ricky on tha 2^nd verse, sayin’ dat he be “cookin’;” umm… Yes! Gunplay on tha 3^rd verse, comin’ through as he luvs this rap shit!! Hearin’ Torch on tha 2^nd ½ of tha 3^rd verse, and “they on [his] ass!” Though it’s a pain in tha “ass,” ya gotta luv tha perspective in a rap song! Ooh, a 3^rd part of tha 3^rd verse and it’s Breed; he comin’ through, deliverin’ this shit nicely!! Good shit!! My Rating: 4.3

16. “Bless Me” Feat. Magazeen

Endin’ wit a bonus track; let’s see if this gon be worth it… >>> Not really anticipated wit tha “Pac” reference in tha beginning…; beat sounds kinda soft, though it’s kinda an ending song? This time, we’re startin’ off wit Torch on tha 1^st verse, comin’ through wit some good rhymes; gotta feel ‘em! And, some Ross… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s Magazeen, comin’ through wit some catchiness ova this beat; almost thought it was Mr. Vegas, so I felt a lil’ more anticipated than before! Got Gunplay on tha 2^nd verse, comin’ through, tryna get through life; I feel ya! “Chillin’ like a villain;” of course, lol! It’s my muthafuckin’ boy, Young Breed, on tha 3^rd verse, comin’ through as “anotha nigga on tha block.” Luckily now, he’s more known! Ross on tha 4^th verse… Not really interested, except dat he “on [his] 6^th blunt.” My Rating: 3.8

Overall: I enjoyed listenin’ ta this CD; really luved all tha Gunplay, Young Breed & Torch appearances, from tha Triple C’s camp! Got plenty more Gunplay on my plate ta devour, as far as reviewin’, so I gon be back sooner or later fa anotha review!
