Keepin’ tha Gunplay reviewz comin’ along, this next one iz 601 & Snort: Freestyle Highdayz Vol. 1; nice title!! Released back on September 3, 2012, I’m lookin’ forward ta reviewin’ this one!! Start Time: 10:08 PM | End Time: 10:56 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

Lemme hear “dis!” >>> Sounds like a nice, smooth, Wu-Tang-like beat, so I’m anticipated! Time ta “take dis ta da brain;” nice beginning and hook! LOL @ losin’ a pound an hour; I wanna gain a pound in an hour! Only 115, here… :( Consistent rhymes; definitely diggin’ ‘em throughout tha verse! My Rating: 4.3

03. “Real Niggas” Feat. Rick Ross

Lookin’ forward ta re-hearin’ this! Tha 1^st time you came up in a review, it was for this CD hosted by Kevin Gates. I reviewed it last August, and I skipped this song ‘cause of tha Ross hook/beginning! I only rated it a 1.0 since I skipped it! Little did I know who would save my life by gettin’ to tha soon-to-be future (Gunplay)! >>> Yea, tha Ross hook ain’t really for me, since I don’t really believe in him and his rhymes. Plus, he drills it in you, non-stop… But, here you are on tha 1^st verse, comin’ through wit dat aggression!! Nice job on this beat!! Great start to tha 2^nd verse wit you, comin’ through wit dat aggression, again!! Prolly would’ve been better if someone else was on tha hook. If only I would’ve known that previously, it was your song featuring Ross ‘cause it sounds like he helpin’ you out wit tha hook, from your perspective! Anyway, tha 3^rd verse from you definitely sounds great, too!! Keep it comin’!! Much betta first complete listen!! My Rating: 4.3

… >>> Some oldness on tha beat, here; let’s see if this gon give me tha same vibe as The Game and his “400 Bars & Runnin’”—can’t believe that’s a decade old, now! And, this sounds pretty good; I’m feelin’ your consistency!! Great job doin’ tha damn thang on this beat!! My Rating: 4.4

05. “Crimnology (Freestyle)”

This looks like it gon be good… >>> I’m ready! Good rhymes in tha verse, so far… Glad you on “anotha molly!” Oh, a 2^nd verse that appeared after a quick interlude; sounds nice and consistent! You only ‘bout dat gangsta shit/street shit, to tha fullest! Great “bitch-ass nigga” parts toward tha near-end of tha 2^nd verse, as well as tha “boat”-rhymin’ words!! My Rating: 4.3

06. “I Got That Sack (Freestyle)”

Let’s see you and this “sack!” >>> Great shit, so far, ova this beat! Huh @ :28 - :29? *Opens up audio-editing program to re-reverse it…* Oh, “armed robbery warrant;” glad you beat them charges! I also like tha consistent “niggaz be…” shit you spittin’; keep ‘em comin’!! “I’m throwin’ rocks;” yeah!! My Rating: 4.2

07. “So Sophisticated (Remix)” Feat. Rick Ross & Meek Mill

Hmm… >>> LOL @ tha start to tha hook wit tha “she ackin’ like it’s all dat, and all dat, and all dat!” Good shit comin’ through from you on tha 1^st verse, supplyin’ these chicks! ROFL, an unsourced Rick Ross on tha 2^nd verse; funny how he wasn’t even listed on tha feature! As far as his verse, ehh…; a lil’ consistent, that’s it. And, got an unsourced Meek Mill on tha 3^rd verse—oh, now I know this original version. As far as him, pure consistency wit tha rhymes and delivery, of course! My Rating: 4.3

½time: So far, seems like there’s a lotta great, consistent jointz on here wit mainly, tha same ratings! A 4.3 for tha CD rating, currently; keep deliverin’ dem jointz/freestyles, Gunplay!!

>>> ROFL @ tha French Montana track! You sound great on tha verse, here; consistent rhymes! “Carol City Iraq;” lol! Whoo @ your consistency!! ROFL, anotha unsourced Ross? Oh wait, random voices from Ross, French & Drake on tha hook? I’ll include them in tha feature; why not? My Rating: 4.2

09. “Na Nigga” Feat. Sam Sneak, Trina & Tip Drill

Haven’t I heard this before? Ain’t realize there were features, so, I guess this iz a complete version, vs. a remix? >>> Yea, heard you remake this before. However, Trick Daddy’s boy, Trina, on tha 1^st verse, comin’ through wit some good support fa you, Gunplay! Hearin’ someone on tha 2^nd verse; they sound young. Talk about how they (“Drill”) “wanna see ID,” lol… Here you are on tha 3^rd verse, comin’ through wit good shit. LOL: “Leave dem rubbaz on tha flo’;” Gun-to-tha-play, lol! “Still get head three ways;” you three-headed dragon, you, lol! And, an outro, here (Sam Sneak?)… My Rating: 3.6

>>> Sounds like an okay beat ‘til you started rappin’ on it, where it sounds betta! Ooh, catchy hook wit tha “take it off, take it off, now go and make it off!” Glad how you lighted tha blunt ta get high at tha end! My Rating: 4.1

12. “Same Damn Time (Remix)” Feat. Rick Ross, Wale, Future & Meek Mill

LOL @ tha no features listed! >>> Oh…; not really crazy about Future, so let’s see what I gon say about this remix… Startin’ wit a Ross, comin’ through wit, you know, yada-yada… Here’s Ross on tha 1^st verse, comin’ through wit tha same yada-yada as tha hook… And, tha 2^nd ½ of tha 1^st verse from that friggin’ Wale, who Music Choice: Rap luvs!! Not bad; consistent, but not jaw-dropping fa my interest. And, tha original hook from Future, here…; whateva. This one of his better songs, though he a lil’ bit of a guilty pleasure fa me to enjoy, since sometimes, I listen ta him in tha background. Okay, a recovery with you on tha 2^nd verse, Gunplay! Good rhymes/display of tha room, “here,” lol! And, a Meek Mill on tha 2^nd ½ of tha 2^nd verse, comin’ through wit tha “same damn” consistent deliveries! My Rating: 3.7

13. “Gullitine Swords (Freestyle)”

Oh, this iz on here! I remember watchin’ tha video you made fa this! Lemme give it an official review! >>> Intro sounds like part of tha music video, in a way. Of course, you comin’ through wit tha consistent rhymes, here!! I luv how you have two of you in tha music video; that multiple-person effect in a video iz what’s up!! My Current Rating: 4.6

14. “Bible On The Dash”

Thanx to an MTV Jams bumper, I heard this, but have seen tha title of yours appear, before. Before I even got ta hear it, I was like, “Don’t tell me this gon be over-holy.” Then again, I heard it, and I became addicted!!! Would play it non-stop while video-editing, converting, almost-falling-asleeping, lol! It ain’t a boring, depressing song! It’s somethin’ so catchy for tha streetz!! It ranked #8 on my Top 546 Songs of 2013 without entering my playlist, due to it bein’ too old for it! Think: #8 w/o a playlist appearance; you really did it big wit this one, Gunplay!!! Just gotta luv tha content you’re spittin’ on tha 1^st verse, ova this beat!! It’s your life on a concrete track, here!! And, that hook: I luv how you say tha title part!! So damn catchy!!! “That’s why I roll wit tha bible on tha dash!!” And, tha 2^nd verse, especially, “I ask tha pastor, ‘What’s tha fastest way to heaven for a bastard wit a tarnished past,’ give me an honest answer;” one of tha best lines!! I saw someone/some site highlight it, and I was like, “I don’t really go for highlighted shit, but this iz definitely somethin’!!!” Once again, excellent joint!!! Glad you “don’t make music for [your] fans;” I don’t, either!! I only do me!! My Current Rating: 5.0

Overall: Turned out ta be an excellent mixtape!! Mainly, there was freestyles and remixes, but you did a great job wit tha shit you brought to tha table!! And, of course, one of tha best endings wit tha “Bible On The Dash”!! Got two more left ta peep out of yours; lookin’ forward ta continuin’—neva want it to end!!
