Ya boy FrankieThaLuckyDog continues to be in review mode today! 'Bout ta do my 2nd one, and it's for Tha G.T. and his "95% Real, 5% Music" mixtape. I don't know what to expect, so I'm just gonna have ta deal with whateva I'm about to deal wit! Please, no depressing music and just that STRAIGHT UP BR shit I'm lookin' forward to!!! Start Time: 3:47 PM | End Time: 5:47 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

reviewed on 6.25.2009 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.
01. Intro
Startin' it off... >>> I like how you sound in this; cool voice. Nice intro also. My Rating: N/A
02. "'Bout My Time"
Looks like an introduction type joint here; lemme see what we "'bout"! >>> Not sure how to judge that intro, but now that I'm hearin' you on tha beat, you sound a lil' like Baby Boy Da Prince on tha voice! Ooh, GRIMY type of voice here!!! Feelin' this shit right nah on tha 1st verse!! LOL @ tha "grade school, you would have an F-" line! I was gonna say tha beat reminded me of like an East Coast type beat (in a somewhat bad way), but it's definitely rockin' here; head-bangin' type shit! Yea, just a STRAIGHT verse just goin' and goin' here!! Now, I'm DEFINITELY in tha mood to check this CD out!! Oh, finally, a hook at around 2:28. Good job on this shit right here! Did I hear "Talkin' Out Da Side Of Ya Neck" beat at tha end (to introduce tha next song)? My Rating: 4.4
03. "You Ain't Sayin' Nothing"
Tha title looks like it wants to be over tha "Ain't Sayin' Nothin'" beat from Fat Joe, Plies & Dre, but like I said wit tha last song, it might be leadin' into tha DFB beat. Only 2:31 here, so we'll see how many pluses can come outta this! >>> I like how you sound in tha intro; yup, tha right beat. Definitely nice rhymes and flowin' here!!! Good 1st verse, and that hook iz catchy; nice job doin' it! Feelin' your "buzz in that drank" on tha 2nd verse here, as you're rappin' and rappin'; not bad on this verse. Good shit here. My Rating: 4.1
04. "I'm Yo Pusha"
Anotha short one; anotha jacked beat? That title reminds me of Pusha T from Clipse... I like tha "yo" in tha title, so I'm anticipated ta hear this one too! >>> IDK about Clipse, but it sounds more East Coast here, so IDK about tha beat; it decent so far. Pretty good 1st verse; tha hook reminded me of Pimp C. Good hook too. Tha 2nd verse iz definitely soundin' better here! Liked that "cocaine" part, as well as all that crazy flowin' of rhymes after it! Great job on that 2nd verse! My Rating: 3.8
05. "I'mma Problem Solva"
Anotha "I'm" in tha title; you ARE somethin', aren't ya, lol? That's why you makin' this Rap music right chea! Looks like a good title, so I hope to look forward! >>> Original beat here (that "??? Productions on tha beat" or whoeva that iz)... Sounds like you're goin' GRIMY again here!! So, you been rappin' fa 10+ years? KJ Armour said he was tryna put you on wit No Limit or somethin' like that; that's watz good. I like tha "glasses" line. I wear glasses, but only at college 'cause not that they're geaky (maybe when I was younger, I thought that), but they fuck up my eyes a lil'. I also like tha "smokin' purple" part, and tha "I'm so on like tha light on microphones" part! Yea, "all day, 24/7, it's goin' down!" Great song fa only 1 verse. My Rating: 4.2
06. "Breathe On The Beat"
Why only 1:29? You made tha title (if it's a song) REAL tight!! Really lookin' forward to whateva this iz!! >>> Sounded like tha power was goin' down in tha first few seconds... At about :12, it was decided that it was a song. Not much ta say about "tha beat," but tha rappin' here iz GREAT (as always)! I rather there bein' "breathin' on tha beat" here than just an okay beat. At least you're "breathin' on tha beat" when it comes to your rhymes. My Rating: 3.7
07. "Find Me In The Hood" Feat. Fiya Boi
J Skee producing this, so thumbs up that it's an original. I heard a Rock instrument at tha very end of tha last song (to introduce this one); iz this Rock influenced? I think this gon be REAL tight, and I'm GLAD there's a featured artist! Lookin' forward!! >>> No Rock in tha beginning, but a nice beat start. Tha sound effect used right when Fiya said "find me in tha hood" (e.g., at :24) was nice (heard it somewhere else too). Wow, you (G.T.) made that 2nd 1/2 of tha hook sound GRIMY!!! Fuckin' luv that voice of yours!!! Tha 1st verse from you here iz soundin' GREAT! Really, you gon "put them ta bed like J. Holiday!" Ooh, tha "roll up that blunt of kush" part made this even better!! Luv to hear you smokin' some good shit! Ooh, tha hook sounds MUCH BETTA now 'cause Fiya sayin' "find me in tha hood blowin' trees," and all dat good shit!! Here comes that Fiya Boi on tha 2nd verse, "gettin' loaded like a muthafucka!" What a GREAT verse, ESPECIALLY from 2:30 - 2:36 wit tha "purple kush" and tha "225" shit; FUCKIN' GREAT!!! I FUCKIN' LUV IT!!!!! Only 2 verses I see, but I fuckin' luv your ending wit tha "ya heard me"s and shit like that! You said it 6x at tha end; you fuckin' rock!! You know I got you wit shit!! My Rating: 4.9
08. "I Got Moves To Make"
I see tha jointz gettin' longer (this one's 30 seconds longer than tha last one; now at 4:09), which means my luck iz increasin'! Mad Mellow on tha beat, so let's see how he iz vs. tha last producer! >>> Tha beat intro sounds like some shit you'd be either high to or slowly sleepin' to. Ooh, what dark/grimy vocals comin' on here on tha hook!! Tha hook iz truth (of course)! Ooh, you're born "September 1;" shout out to my boy Lil' Frankie and my golden retriever Mandy (R.I.P.), born on "September 1!" Ooh, you "moved everything from blocks down ta 1/2's;" tight shit! Definitely a tight verse from you on this shit! Ooh, tha 2nd verse here sounds like a different person, but there's nothin' sourced, so I'm guessin' it's you. Yea, gotta have "tha Boot" in your verse ta make it sound tight! I like how it says "nigga" a lot. Great 2nd verse right there! Anotha song wit 2 verses, but I'm glad that hook continued. Wow, NICE ending wit tha cold beat outro! My Rating: 4.3
09. "Come Around"
Back to tha short ones (2:31 again)... Wonder what beat/what to expect on this one? >>> I KNEW it was this Collie Budz "Come Around", but I didn't think you were goin' back ta '07 wit tha jacked beats. Glad you're rappin' ova this one right chea. Ooh, GREAT "I bet if they have kush..." part at :46! Tha verse keeps it consistent, so there's nothin' goin' wrong here. I like tha "shiiiit" part at 1:50. I like how you also said "laughable." A lotta words I say, I attach "able" to 'em. You KNOW I LUV my music when it's Louisianable, especially Baton Rougeable and G-Laneable, LOL!!! My Rating: 3.9
10. "Who Mackin' Part I"
Only 2:08 on tha length... I see this iz a "Part 1", so I'm hoping to hear more parts; what will this be about? >>> "Ooh, baby," I like that "ooh, baby" part in tha beginning; GREAT female! I feel like I'm in a restaurant right now! I like tha "tissue...'cause I'm tha shit, mane" part. Tha beat ain't that bad here; you KNOW tha intro ta this made me like it more! I like how you said, "them niggaz past tense;" nice "past tense" part describin' people below your level. I like tha part (right before 2:00) where you "killed tha music," and it went acapella. Good shit right here, and lookin' forward ta it continuing (if it does)! My Rating: 4.1
11. "Ain't No Love"
I prolly know what it gon be samplin' (especially since it only 2:34). I don't know what else ta say... >>> Whateva beat this iz iz kinda old (few years back). I'm not really into it, and I don't think it fits. However, you're not makin' it boring, so I ain't gonna criticize. Good rappin' here (once again). Okay hook. Tha 2nd verse here kinda gets me to not say anything. Not really my kinda song that I would really like after all. I still give you credit for tha good rhymes. My Rating: 3.3
12. "For The Real"
Much longer on tha length (4:43), so let's see here... >>> Oh no, not this one again (Lil' Wayne "Misunderstood"). Someone else I reviewed used this beat. I don't like tha beat, but it sounds like better lyrics here in tha beginning wit tha "rocks." Better rhymes in this one, although not my style still for tha song. Let's see tha 2nd verse... Not bad on tha 2nd verse; can't say much. Let's see tha 3rd verse here... Those "strugglin'" lyrics are tha ones I can't get into. You did hold it down on tha 3rd verse. Way too long for a song though. I like this one better than tha last song, but I'll offer a bonus lyrical rating for your lyrics on this one. Lyrical Rating: 4.3 | My Rating: 3.5
½time: Well, tha last 2 songs on here were what I thought was gonna be filled on tha mixtape. Sometimes, I only deal wit 1 or 2 of those on tha max; that's it. I'm glad you showin' off your grimy style in different types of songs. You KNOW I luv my hood songs tha best! You DEFINITELY holdin' it down on these jointz!! Keep doin' yo thang, and you KNOW you gon have a NICE commercial tacked onto this NICE review! Average CD rating iz currently 4.0.
13. "Yeah I Know" Feat. Jay Young
Ooh, anotha featured person on this mixtape!! Lookin' forward to HOPEFULLY gettin' back into what I wanna hear!! >>> I'm gonna pretend (in my mind) that Jay Young iz from Louisiana (and not Texas) 'cause I don't like ta think of Texas like bein' special. Not bad on his part; he had an above average verse. I like his hook though. Ooh, DEFINITELY anticipatin' you comin' on this track!! Your verse soundin' pretty good; always deliverin' tha grimy voice!! Ooh, GREAT SHIT goin' real fast at tha 1:55 mark!! I'm DEFINITELY feelin' tha hook wit you on it, especially wit tha pausing between tha words "yeah" and "I know;" tight shit here! My Rating: 4.1
14. "Work 2 Do"
It's cool that it's produced by Fiya Boi. Only thing iz, 2:27 for an original production??? Sorry for tha length. I know Fiya Boi gon make a fiya beat since he a rapper too (when people rap and produce, it almost gets me a lil' funny 'cause I want people to respect what I do as rappin' and producin', although everyone I hear iz like a lot more advanced than me). Let's see wit this short one... >>> What's wit that weird gigglin' in tha beat (on tha sample)? Ewe... Sounds like great rhymes comin' from your lip here. I don't know about an ear-catching beat here, as there's really nothin' special about this one. Really, I don't think there should be that gay sample in tha background/hook. Tha 2nd verse here iz comin' through pretty RAW! That VOICE does it all!! You "dropped outta college," huh? That sux. If you look at it, my talent for commercials have significantly increased a whole lot thanx to college. Plus, my 1st 2 years of college I got ta be around black people for tha 1st time (wit a whole lot). They may have thought I was a piece of shit (and didn't care about me outside of college; I'm sadly a friend-lacker [who knows why???]), but Louisiana really SAVED tha day when it captured me and took my brain away from that college! I at least learned how it feels to get taken advantage of, but because of that college, I fuckin' HATE 2007 and think it's one of my worst years EVA!! My new college focuses me on helpin' y'all Louisiana dudes out wit shit! I'll be collegein' myself 'til 2011! My Rating: 3.7
15. "Respect It Please"
IDK about that title (it may scare me at first), but we'll see what happens... >>> Not to a good start... I may just give it a lyrical rating and just have my own rating. Interesting lyrics comin' from you on an okay beat. Sounds like just a whole verse as well... After 2:26, tha verse ended. You KNOW I luv you talkin' at tha end (glad it's 1:11). Oh wait, it ended at about 3:01, and went ta someone else (I think). Tha ending person spoke tha realness! If someone else dies from Baton Rouge, then I give up on wishin' people good luck wit shit 'cause it's like, didn't Nu$ie's death increase prevention of deaths? People just wanna be Pop like Britney Spears when it comes to this killin' shit; TRUE, TRUE!!! I hate to say it, but that's why black people are stereotyped so much of bein' bad people (in peoples' minds). I try to make sure I luv black people at all times; I don't want people ruinin' it! Overall, your ending got me in a betta mood, so once again, good job on your rappin', although it wasn't my type. Lyrical Rating: 4.2 | My Rating: 3.4
16. "So What's Up" Feat. Fiya Boi
Ooh, at #16 no less, here's that FIYA connection of J Skee on tha beat, and Fiya Boi on tha feature!! I'm REALLY lookin' forward ta this, so let's see here... >>> That's a really anticipating intro; it ain't even changin', lol. Fiya Boi doin' his thang on tha hook right here; good shit again!! He doin' his thang on tha 1st verse here, deliverin' some tight shit! Even though there's not much changin' in tha beat, it's still good fa this shit. My God, you put some "HOT SHIT" (as you just said) in tha track wit yo voice!! LOL, what was that "syndrome" you said? LOL... Pretty good verse from you, although that other collaboration of J Skee & Fiya Boi bein' on a track wit you was much better. My Rating: 4.2
17. "We Ain't Fuckin' Witcha Hoes" Feat. J Skee
Ooh, anotha person goin' tha rapper/producer route!! Now, J Skee gon get me a lil' jealous, lol. Let's see what y'all put together here in under 3 minutes... >>> Tha beat intro iz better here; will it change up? This sounds better, and tha J Skee hook iz tight! Yea, thanx for tha change up in tha beat this time! Okay verse wit aight lyrics. I like tha "weed/rocks/ain't gettin' it fa free" part. Good job, J Skee. Here comes you again! Anotha short verse, and I didn't really know what ta say. Yes, good thing you made a 3rd verse!! Refresh my brain here... Nice job. Good shit here. Same rating, but because tha last song had better lyrics, that one gon rank higher in a tie-breaker. My Rating: 4.2
18. "Ready To Ride"
Nice that you anticipate people wit tha "ready" in tha title; lookin' forward ta this one, hopefully! >>> That "ya heard me" in tha beginning iz gettin' me ready ta enjoy this... Ooh, "roaches in tha light" part was nice. You said it RIGHT: "Jigga City, yea, we on top!" Agreed there (when it comes to my music taste)!! What's wit tha mixture of instruments in tha beat (mainly in tha hook)? Either way, nice lil' hook here. Tha 2nd verse startin' off pretty good, "fuckin' up a backbone!" Great way ta end tha 2nd verse wit tha "body parts mix & match," remindin' me of Clipse on Birdman's "What Happened To That Boy?" on tha last words in tha last verse. Wow, that 3rd verse ended outta nowhere, but it was great; consistentness! LOL @ your ending (which came outta nowhere too) wit tha "and not tha cops, nigga;" you said that in a cool way. My Rating: 3.9
19. "Out The Box"
What do you got here in 2:15? >>> BOOOOOO!! You could've even used "Out Da Box" instrumental, but I doubt that was gonna happen. No more "A Milli" shit; that was so '08. Nobody's playin' wit Furby's anymore, lol; that was so (like) '98... Anyway, lemme hear what you got ta spit: Tha rappin' iz great, and at :51, it's switchin' ta "My Dougie"; that song iz SO forgotten about (in a bad way) in my opinion. Yucky song that looked like it flopped on MTV Jams, lol. I like how you said tha title ("I guess I'm out tha fuckin' box like a fresh pair of tennis shoes")! You did yo thang much betta on tha "My Dougie" beat. Nice job on this shit here! My Rating: 4.2
20. "Who Mackin' Part II"
Ooh, tha continuation from that last "Mackin'" song!! Lookin' forward ta hearin' it (P.S.: You should've increased tha length by 2 seconds so it would've been 2:25 on tha length, lol; just playin', but that would've been cool)! >>> Well, tha other intro was a turn on; this intro kinda a turn off... I don't like when tha intros/beats are not Louisiana sounding; I'm not here ta hear New York music! Good job wit your rappin' on tha 1st verse though. I didn't think there was just one verse... Good ending wit your "go light your blunt up" part. My Rating: 3.4
21. "U Gon Feel Me"
"U gon" use a correct beat this time? Anotha under 3 minute joint, so let's see... >>> It's a better beat wit tha "Love Me No More" one. Sounds like a GREAT 1st verse; LUVIN' tha "slash this, slash that;" /, /, /, /," lol!! Even tha hook wit all tha "my ___, my ___" parts! I FUCKIN' LUV that you say, "you gon feel me, dawg." Tha "dawg" really helps me like it a lot more, especially how this sounds! Great ending of tha hook too, ending it wit "dawg;" nice shit here! My Rating: 4.1
22. "Put Me At Ease"
That's where I'm from [I originally mistook your title of this song as "From The East" as it was listed as tha title on here instead of me lookin' at tha mp3 name]. IDK about you makin' a song about it [tha East] though; what will it sound like? >>> I almost thought it was "Shit Could Get Real" by Kevin Gates & Hound on tha intro. I think it's tha same producer if I'm not mistaken (also produced Yung Sicka/Young Ready/Reg "Keep Movin'"). This iz soundin' off to a pretty good start! Sounds like you're holdin' down tha 1st verse, not givin' a fuck who's in yo way! I wouldn't feel those lyrics in tha hook, but tha beat makes it REAL tight!! Sounds like your 2nd verse here iz goin' good. Tha 3rd verse on this was good too; great shit! That hook holds a HUGE amount of weight on this track!! I'm glad it repeated an extra time during tha end! My Rating: 4.5
EDIT: Whoops, tha title was ID'd wrong in tha title, but was correct in tha mp3 name. It's really "Put Me At Ease", not "From The East"; who ID'd it wrong like that, lol? I remember seein' that title right when I was about to review this CD, and it scared me at first. Now look, you caught me off guard wit a GREAT joint like this. When your lyrical songs sound like this, they're a plus ta me, ya feel me!
23. "Real Talk"
You KNOW you had come a long way on this CD; how will you make this your last song? >>> Now, you're scaring me in tha beginning wit tha "versitile" shit; Terror started that whole word for me, and now, it's associated wit him. What beat was this? It very old... A "Hip-Hop" titled song I think or a Gang Starr song. I do like your 1st verse; thanx for what you spit there. Interesting 2nd verse here too; LOL @ 1:40 wit Michael Jackson's "hehe!" Good 2nd verse though, but kinda sad for an ending song for me. No need ta rub it in wit tha end of this song now! Lyrical Rating: 4.4 | My Rating: 3.5
EDIT: I checked my 2005 year-end countdown (my Top 517 Songs of 2005) and my 2006 year-end countdown (my Top 666 Songs of 2006), which at that time consisted of all tha mainstream songs of tha year, and I don't think I saw it. Maybe it was 2004 or older (this beat)? I dunno.
24. Outro
I knew there was an outro... Wit 1:49 on tha length, I'm lookin' forward to it! >>> Why a watered down beat? Of course, still enjoyin' your voice. Nice job takin' your time out on this outro; good job, even wit tha watered down beat! My Rating: N/A
Overall: LOL, 2 hours flat of a review! Well, I DEFINITELY enjoyed listenin' to yo CD, as well as givin' SO much feedback on it!! Hope you appreciate EVERYTHING I said, and felt, 'cause I gave lyrical ratings on some of tha songs. Keep doin' yo thang wit this shit; you my boy.
