Review #640: L.C. "Hardest: Reloaded"

Time for my next review for today: L.C. “Hardest: Reloaded”. No matter if tha previous “Hardest” had a few songs on it, I still thought it would’ve been nice to have both “Hardest” and “Hardest: Reloaded” in my mailbox. But, since there’s a new CD out now, I guess I’ll just pray dat I get all three in tha mail! L.C., don’t forget!! I’m also not a fan of this bein’ on DatPiff since January and I didn’t know anything about it; I hate doin’ late reviewz! Start Time: 2:33 PM | End Time: 3:12 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Eye Candy” Feat. Delwin The Krazyman
Most of these songs on here I radio edited for my radio show ‘cause you sent me most of them. Now, what’ll they be like in a review? >>> Beat’s cool and tha hook’s a lil’ on tha lol for me at times; good song overall. I like your flow when you rap; it flows gr8 on tha track… Nice job wit tha 1st verse; you got it on lock here… Sounded like a gay start to tha 2nd verse wit dat “Beyoncé” shit; not good, Delwin. But, tha rest of tha verse was listenable to me; you know it’s tight overall. Tha 3rd verse iz good from you; I don’t like tha near-end of it wit tha dances… My Current Rating: 4.2


02. “Hardest Nigga” Feat. Nu$$ie
This was one of tha “hardest” songs to radio edit for my radio show ‘cause of tha sample in tha hook/title, lol. Now, lemme review it… >>> I like tha start as well as tha beat. You’re spittin’ good shit on tha 1st verse here; true shit to tha fullest! Nu$$ie’s on tha 2nd verse and it’s good; glad I had this for tha R.I.P. Nu$$ie tribute show I had on my radio show back earlier in February! Tha 3rd verse from you iz cool; you know I enjoy dat flow! My Current Rating: 4.4


03. “My Roscoe” Feat. City
I think when I got this, it might’ve been a .wma file so I kinda skipped tha radio edit on it, especially since I had a bunch of songs. But, lemme hear it; I rememba it bein’ real catchy! >>> I should’ve radio edited it anyway ‘cause that hook’s just REAL HOT!! LOL, luv tha catchy soundin’ hook!! You’re spittin’ G-shit in tha 1st verse wit dat kick-ass flow too!! Tha 2nd verse’s straight… LOL, must be City on tha 3rd verse; same City that’s affiliated wit JazzyFam Records? Good job once again and nice collab! My Rating: 4.5


04. “Make It Work”
LOL, it’s just you… >>> Mouse-soundin’ start in tha beat wit tha “tight…tight…” shit? LOL @ tha “ol’ lady snorin’!” This iz more hot shit from you! Nice job wit tha 1st verse; keepin’ it consistent on this CD! Shouldn’t’ve been shy to send it to me ‘cause it’s hot… Tha 2nd verse sounds good too; I like tha “gamble/dice” part towards tha end of tha verse! Tha 3rd verse iz straight also… I like your ending here wit tha “if you rep…” shit! My Rating: 4.3


½time: So far, this iz a 4.4-rated CD from me; very good, ya know?


05. “My Girl” Feat. Moody
I don’t think this was for me when I heard it… >>> Well, tha production sounds good; this wasn’t tha not-for-me song then… Tha hook ain’t dat bad… Not bad on tha 1st verse… A lotta shit ta “remember” in tha 2nd verse, lol? It made tha verse a lil’ catchy… Tha 3rd verse iz Moody and it’s aight… My Rating: 3.5


06. “Lord Have Mercy”
>>> Okay, this izn’t my kinda start now. You sound catchy in tha 1st verse here; I like tha “blunt” shit. Whoa!! You said, “cunt;” neva do I hear rappers say dat but you broke a barrier!! It made tha verse flow pretty good!! Also, thumbs up to tha “pants sag” part too; you DEFINITELY tha shit here!! Tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ like a Nu$$ie flow. Ooh, I’m likin’ how some of tha lyrics are comin’ right at me outta nowhere; “Polos and Girbauds!” I like dat “agony of defeat” for an ending line! LOL @ tha echoing vocals on tha 3rd verse this time… Not bad; kinda strong ending, lol? My Rating: 3.8


07. “Tenderoni”
LOL @ this title; what was this again? >>> I think I purposely skipped editing this song when I heard tha beginning beat and hook; this was tha not-for-me song. But, who knows; you could surprise me on tha verses… Kinda good on tha start but just not too exciting for me. I don’t like hooks that are just a sample… just a sample! I like tha character in your voice on tha 2nd verse at least… My Rating: 2.7


08. “No Record Deal” Feat. Moody
I remember tha Nu$$ie sample from tha “Hardest Nigga” song iz in here; now, lemme review it. >>> LOL @ tha start!! Tha 1st verse iz cool fa what you got here; I like tha random “bruh” part too. Moody’s on tha 2nd verse here and I’m not too crazy about some of tha lyrics but it’s still a good collab. Tha 3rd verse sounds good wit you spittin’ ‘bout err-body. Most of those rappers (mainly tha non-Louisiana ones) are like nothing now; not even close to me either! My Current Rating: 4.1


09. “Hardest Nigga (R.I.P. Nu$$ie Mix)” Feat. Nu$$ie
No “I’m Numb”, lol? I guess that’s on tha new CD. Anyway, this was sent to me but I went wit tha original version. >>> Tha original version was much harder to edit on tha hook; damn, I should’ve put this one on too… REALLY feelin’ tha beat this time, ya heard me? LOL, even though you put “R.I.P. Nu$$ie Mix” in tha ID, you forgot “feat. Nu$$ie,” lol… My Rating: 4.6


Overall: Nice job here, L.C.; it was good, ya heard me? Keep doin’ tha damn thang!
