Doin’ my 7th review for today (damn, I’m glad I’m back on a steady grind)! This one I believe JP sent me via e-mail: Ice “Jack Frost”! Prolly tha smallest ID eva on a review, lol! Only three characters in tha artist name, 10 in tha title! Start Time: 11:52 PM | End Time: 12:35 AM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

02. “Louisiana Hard Hitta”
Glad you have tha state in tha title! You’re Baton Rouge-bound so I’m DEFINITELY lookin’ forward ta hearin’ dis!! >>> Oh, sounds HOT on tha beat here!! Tha hook almost sounds like my boy Lil’ Yella; are you white too? Feelin’ dis shit to tha fullest!! Oh, you said, “niggaz,” on tha 1st verse so I guess dat eliminates tha “white” thing I said, lol. But, it’s all about tha tightness and you got dat here! VERY GOOD lyrics too!! It’s all about tha South, mainly Louisiana, mainly Baton Rouge, lol!! Tha 2nd verse iz pretty nice here; I grade this an A on how this sounds fa me!! Luvin’ tha G-shit too in tha 2nd verse!! My Rating: 4.7


03. “Same Ole”
What’ll this one sound like fa me? >>> Oh no, kinda low-anticipated start wit tha “MySpace” start; yawn… Well, I guess you have a good purpose here; tha hook sounds good and catchy. Also, this beat’s nice. “I used ta breathe hard like an Asthma attack;” like dat quote! Not exactly an “attack” but I dealt wit some of dat shit last weekend at my aunt’s cabin; too much forest-type shit! Good job doin’ ya thang on tha 1st verse here! That hook has dat 90’s feel to it and would sound nice on my radio show! How’d you get such a short name, Ice? No less, it bein’ a simple word but not a typical name? I like that it’s an element too! LOL, long-ass beat outro? At least it’s good… My Rating: 4.4

What? >>> Damn, a 1:59-length skit? Hope it’s good! Sounds like you’re somewhere or somethin’. LOL, outside a club? LOL… I like all tha “bruh” shit in tha talkin’; thumbs up! Such a CLASSIC word!! Luvin’ tha way y’all talk here!!! My Rating: N/A


05. “Oh No” Feat. One-i & JaYaR
“Oh,” a collaboration, lol! Lookin’ forward ta hearin’!! >>> LOL, who’s “Lil’ A” as he’s “on tha beat”? Also, who’s dis JaYaR dude too? Sounds good on tha production here; likin’ tha catchiness in tha hook too! One-i’s on tha 1st verse! Good-ass shit as always!!! Tha 2nd verse sounds good here from you; G-shit to tha fullest for tha streetz!! Here comes tha debut (for me) of dat JaYaR dude, soundin’ pretty nice here too! “Yea, dat’s right! I’m fuckin’ wit a Baton Rouge mentality;” DUMB SHIT!!! My Rating: 4.6


06. “Fresh Chrome” Feat. FaM & JaYaR
They forgot tha “h” in “chrome” in tha title on tha back cover. Now, who’s FaM? What’ll this one be like fa me? >>> Whoa!! It’s DJ Big Wayne on tha beat, lol!! His old-ass beat tag! This must be before tha Bad Azz Ent.-Wayne ‘cause of tha old tag. Tha hook’s DEFINITELY nice here; catchy-ass shit on dis REAL HOT beat!!! Tha 1st verse iz FaM; I guess it’s a dude and not a clique, lol! Shit, yea!! Tha back-in-tha-day Wayne as I’m hearin’ tha beat pattern I LUV on tha 4th bars!!!!! Wow, just REALLY LUVIN’ tha beat pattern in tha beginning of tha 2nd verse; I rememba he did dat on Thrilla’s “Gas Station” and it REALLY was an attention-catcher!!! DEFINITELY a PLUS here and lol, this iz only seconds shorter than “Gas Station”; gotta embrace tha similar lengths! Okay, here’s tha 3rd verse and already, “middle finger up,” lol! All these rhymes are DEFINITELY NICE!!! AHHHHH, LOL!!! My Rating: 4.8


½time: Wow, this iz pretty NICE so far!!! A WHOPPIN’ 4.6 average CD rating?!?!? DAMN!!!


07. “V.I.P.” Feat. Prince Blakk
Okay, I see where tha feature’s comin’ from; Hammond connection here! Let’s see how this one turns out! >>> I’m aight fa this beat, although it sounds a lil’ like “Lollipop”. Tha flow’s pretty cool here and tha beat’s pickin’ up towards tha 1:00 mark! LOL, you know if Blakk’s on tha track, there’s usually dat singin’ on tha hook. This sounds pretty good here; I like tha 2nd ½ about tha “feelin’ ‘V.I.P.’ but I’m not in ‘V.I.P.’!” Tha 2nd verse iz pretty good; nice shit here! Why iz this #8 on tha back cover? Iz that real or iz tha DatPiff filenames and tracklisting numbaz wrong? My Rating: 4.2


08. “What U Gon Do” Feat. FaM & JaYaR
This was #7 on tha back cover; let’s see if it was worth tha wait! >>> Shit, yea!! Anotha Big Wayne beat? How’d you get this REAL GR8 connection? Glad I fuck wit him REAL, REAL heavy!!! Tha hook iz energetic as fuck, lol!!! Sounds like #6, which I’m luvin’ once again!! This beat has a catchier sound so I might like it tha same/betta! I like tha last song’s content betta but this beat, flow, rhythm and how y’all sound on it’s REAL catchy!!! Damn, just LUVIN’ tha shit here once again!! Tha beat just puts you in a REAL, REAL, REAL GR8 mood!!!!! LOL, tha last song had tha 2nd verse start wit tha beat pattern; this one has tha 3rd verse!! Nice job wit this GR8 song!! My Rating: 4.8


09. “Hit ‘Em Up” Feat. C-Loc & Lil’ Witness
Whoa!! A HUGE collaboration this time!!! >>> “Jay Austin”; iz dat JaYaR and iz it tha beat production? Tha beat’s pretty hot here and tha hook iz NUTS!! LUV tha energetic shit!!! LOL, LUV Loc’s “Hit ‘em up!! Hit ‘em up!! Hit ‘em up!! Hit ‘em up!! Hit ‘em up!! Hit ‘em up!! Hit ‘em up!! Hit ‘em up!!” shit!!!! Tha 1st verse’s nice; I have a feelin’ I’ll be REALLY anticipatin’ tha rest of this shit!! Loc’s on tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ like he’s demandin’ and shit, lol! Good shit, G-shit, everything-type shit, lol!! Almost sounded like my big dawg Dat Boy A on tha 3rd verse for a second but you already know, it’s Lil’ Witness! It’s all family here; STRICTLY GREATNESS!!! He’s ALWAYS tha MOST ANTICIPATED on ANY track/collab!!! Surprised this surpassed BOTH Big Wayne songs!!! My Rating: 4.9


10. “Ride With Me”
I believe I just reviewed a “Ride With Me” song by Young Rob a.k.a. Rob Walad just before this review, lol. Let’s see how your “Ride With Me” song sounds! >>> Who iz dat on tha beat? “Lil’ A on tha track”? Tha beat’s pretty smooth here, for a good “ride,” lol! Tha hook’s pretty good too; almost feel like I like both “Ride With Me”s equally. Nice job on tha 1st verse; you be havin’ lots of 4+ minute songs, no matter if people are on ‘em or not, lol. Tha 2nd verse sounds focused too; catchy shit comin’ from you! LOL, I almost dwelled off and thought I was reviewin’ Rob Walad fa a second, lol! My Rating: 4.3


11. I Feel Good (Skit)
LOL, DEFINITELY gon look forward ta anotha “skit”!! >>> Only 32 seconds? Prolly tha worst skit I eva heard!!!!! Scared tha SHIT out me as soon as it came on!! Went through my veins in a HORRIBLE WAY like this fuckin’ neva-endin’ cold I have!! I might go to tha hospital!! Hope tha song doesn’t sound like dis! I won’t even add dis skit to my iPod! Not my generation!!! My Rating: N/A


12. “I Feel Good” Feat. JaYaR
>>> Sounds somewhat cool on tha beat; thought it was tha production tag flowin’ throughout tha beginning. Okay, afta dat horrible skit, this song sounds pretty nice here; I’m really enjoyin’ tha beat! Tha hook’s real nice; there’s somethin’ ‘bout dis sound that’s REAL GR8!! Tha 1st verse almost sounds like a Lil’ Witness-kinda song and I’m likin’ it! Keep tha HOT SHIT goin’ fa tha next 3:08!! Here’s tha 2nd verse; strictly some good shit bein’ spit! Really luvin’ how this iz soundin’ and it ain’t stoppin’ at 3:30; we got anotha verse comin’ up!! Sounds like some shit fa tha “hood” here; nice job wit tha collab! LOL, ‘round 4:18, it sounds like Lil’ Witness again; tha Lil’ Witness syndrome, lol!! Nice ending! My Rating: 4.7 (GR8 rating for tha HORRIBLE skit before it!)

Overall: ROFL, tha 1st song was hella cool. But, this WHOLE CD turned out ta be tha shit!! Other than that scary-ass skit (#11), this iz DEFINITELY worth tha listen!! Should it even be allowed ta have five stars afta dat skit? I would’ve rated it 1.0 if it was a song! Nah, I’m just playin’! Song-wise, automatically a 5-star rated CD!!
