Tha next review I have on deck iz Young Guerillaz, mainly known as tha YGz. Here goes my review for their “Underground Jungle 2” CD!! Didn’t realize it was from last year… Also, y’all remind me of da Ville Boyz at times. Start Time: 1:45 PM | End Time: 3:08 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Show Up & Show Off”
I like this title; let’s start it off BIG!!! >>> Sounds hot wit tha beat here! “’08,” huh? I guess some of these are a mix of ’08 and ’09… Okay, tha hook’s DEFINITELY HOT here!! Tha hook can sound familiar but there’s a bunch of them like dis out there! Lil’ Head’s doin’ tha damn thang on tha 1st verse here; crazy-ass shit!! I like tha “landbase” start to tha 2nd verse! STR8 G-shit here! Lil’ Eric’s on tha 3rd verse here; not bad… It’s GR8 when it’s delivered on this beat at all times!! My Rating: 4.5


02. “Stop Holding Ya Nuts”
Strong topic here so this gon go hard!! >>> LOL, what are tha odds of tha 1st two songs havin’ tha same exact length? Tha hook iz SO FUCKIN’ TIGHT!!! Tha beat’s REAL NICE and Lil’ Head just HOLDS IT DOWN!!! Tha 1st verse iz DEFINITELY NICE; “like a dead cell-phone, I need a charger!” Lil’ Head’s on tha 2nd verse, just keepin’ this shit REAL HOT!! Tha last minute iz mainly, “stop hatin’ on me,” lol. Now, I’m hearin’ tha hook again… My Rating: 4.7


03. “Suited Up”
Keep these titles and topics comin’ along!! >>> LOL, startin’ off quietly wit a Q-Red tag! LOL, tha otha Q-RED tag, lol!! Finally, tha 1st verse starts at :34 and it soundin’ SUPA TIGHT on this beat!!! VERY much on tha gangsta tip here; REALLY enjoyin’ dis!! Just as you thought “Stop Holding Ya Nuts” was hella tight; this iz DEFINITELY betta!! Tha hook’s REAL, REAL TIGHT!!! G-shit at its finest!!! Wish I would’ve known about this in ’09; could’ve beaten Down Bad on “Best Louisiana Group CD”!! But, y’all uploaded it as a Mediafire link to y’all MySpace on March 7, 2010. Anyway, tha 2nd verse iz DEFINITELY what’s up too!! Tha 3rd verse iz ALSO on its shit; VERY, VERY GOOD shit here all together!!! My Rating: 4.9


04. “Slow Roll It”
This looks like it gon be a smokin’ song and I’m DEFINITELY lookin’ forward ta hearin’ dis!!! >>> Sounds like Q-Red’s beat sound in tha beginning!! Oh no, on an R&B-sample tip? It’s not too bad for a start here since tha beat has it goin’ on… Sounds like just an okay song for me so far… Bad ending to tha verse wit tha “profile pic on her MySpace page” line. What’ll Lil’ Head have fa tha 2nd verse? For some reason, I always anticipate him, no matter what tha situation iz! He just has dat voice dat REALLY holds it down!! He REALLY did tha damn thang wit all those catchy lines!! Tha gurlz must LUV him, lol!! Tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ good too; anotha voice ta hold dis joint down! Tha 1st verse didn’t have much of a catch but tha last two verses are really holdin’ it down here! LOL, all this time, it was DJ Big Wayne on tha track, lol! My Rating: 4.2


05. “Do It To ‘Em” Feat. Level
You have tha wrong form of “to” on tha back (as “too”). Anyway, hope this sounds betta! >>> Sounds like Level’s in tha background of tha hook here; CRAZY SHIT goin’ on!!! Lil’ Eric’s on tha 1st verse, soundin’ consistent wit how he comin’ through fa tha Boot! LUV tha sound of this and tha GR8 energy applied in tha whole track!!! LOL, it iz Level!! He’s on tha 2nd verse here (why not listed on tha back cover as a “feature”?) and he’s doin’ a REAL NICE job here, lol!! Crazy-ass Level on tha track!!! You KNOW it’s on a REAL NICE level (lol) here wit Lil’ Head on tha 3rd verse, just doin’ tha damn thang!! Him and tha crazy rhymes, lol!! My Rating: 4.8


06. “Paper Up”
Already, there’s a TIGHT title before I get ta even hear it!! >>> Plus, tha length iz 5:01 so this should be GR8! LOL, Q-Red producin’ a long-ass song like dis? Dis should be REAL NICE then, ESPECIALLY since tha beat has REAL catchy sounds goin’ on!! Tha hook’s pretty nice here; dat beat’s raw as fuck wit tha organ!!! Luvin’ tha G-shit in tha 1st verse here; one of tha HOTTEST CDs of ’09!!! Lil’ Head on tha 2nd verse here? Shit, yea!! He got shit on lock to tha fullest!! How will tha 3rd verse come through on this? Sounds pretty nice; of course, tha G-shit iz here!! My Rating: 4.7


07. “Whoop Ass, Take Names”
What a title here, lol!! VERY ANTICIPATED ta hear dis!!! >>> Already startin’ off wit a Big Wayne beat; HOPE he uses his magical beat pattern!!! Okay, tha hook iz CRAZZZZZZZZZY!!!!! DEFINITE PLUS here!!! Not tha magical beat pattern-styled beat from Big Wayne but it has dat BR sound all ova it!! Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ like a REAL NICE delivered verse!! Lil’ Head a FOOL wid it!!! Tha 2nd verse’s keepin’ it goin’; tha sound I LUV and put as my top priority!!! Tha 3rd verse sounds pretty nice here; keepin’ it goin’ to tha fullest!! My Rating: 4.8


08. “Certified Go Getta”
LOL, this has ta be REAL good too!! >>> Crazy beat start on this track!!! Tha hook’s DEFINITELY “certified” OFFICIAL, lol!! Gotta LUV all tha energy once again!!! “It’s like acid in ya nose from inhalin’ this lifestyle;” what a CRAZY LINE!!! ROFL @ tha “fishin’ in tha toilet” line; how random on this TIGHT-ASS song!! Tha 2nd verse iz pretty good too; NOTHIN’ but Baton Rouge blood inside of y’all!!! I’m likin’ tha “hustlaz” start to tha 3rd verse; gotta rep fa dem!! My Rating: 4.7


09. “Who Can I Run To”
Again wit tha wrong form of “to” as “too”, smh… I don’t think this’ll be that good but it doesn’t hurt ta listen. >>> Not my kinda start; I rather hear y’all make an X-rated sex song! Why a kid-soundin’ female sample in tha hook? Don’t need ta hear dat on a Baton Rouge CD!! C’mon, this iz too soft fa me ta listen “to,” smh! Certain artists don’t need ta be versatile in certain ways! Although soft fa me, I’m likin’ how tha 2nd verse iz bein’ delivered. Damn, even 1:01 on an outro? Too much staleness for me… Okay, tha hook repeated. Still, why 4:39 on tha length? My Rating: 2.3


½time: Minus #9, this iz a VERY HOT soundin’ CD, ya heard me?!? Y’all BEASTS on tha tracks!!! So far, tha average CD rating’s at 4.4; REAL NICE!!! Keep it comin’!!


10. “R.I.P. Grandma”
Kinda strong of a title off-top (before I can even hear it). I don’t think this’ll be for me… >>> A pretty good smooth beat but tha content’s kinda too strong fa me. This could’ve been saved fa tha last song, not tha start of tha 2nd ½? Tha hook’s a lil’ too sad. It’s like, this CD went from some of tha best energy to depression… Tha 2nd verse ain’t for me, unfortunately. Same thing wit tha 3rd verse; at least this only 3:34 on tha length. My Rating: 3.3


11. “You Can Get It” Feat. B-Raw
Are we back to normal now? >>> Slow beat start here, creepin’ up! Yea, slowly gettin’ tha energy back; feelin’ this hook! Tha beat’s soundin’ pretty catchy once tha 1st verse comes on; hearin’ all tha catchy sounds!! DEFINITELY some consistent rhymin’ goin’ on here in tha 1st verse!! Here’s tha 2nd verse from Lil’ Head, soundin’ pretty good this time! Glad some G-shit’s bein’ delivered to tha fullest! Well, we have anotha feature here: B-Raw. Guess you just left ‘em all out on tha back cover. Lots of rhymes here that are back to back, which iz good and catchy. I have a feelin’ he’ll be on anotha song on this CD somewhere… My Rating: 4.6


12. “Supa Sick (Remix)” Feat. Level
Ooh, remix action here! What’ll come outta dis? Will people be featured on it? >>> Ooh, DJ Big Wayne on tha beat and yea, I called there bein’ features!! Level doin’ his thang on tha hook; CRAZY shit!! Eric’s on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit his consistent rhymes!! DEFINITELY NICE and THIS TIME, Big Wayne has some of tha SPECIAL beat pattern in tha beat!! Did it just get lower @ 1:20? Thought it was fadin’ out fa a second, lol. Sounds like a lot of preparin’ before Level’s 2nd verse? LOL… he on tha 2nd verse and once again, mo A – A+ shit!! Lil’ Head’s on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit his A – A+ness too!! REAL NICE job, ya heard me?!? LOL, a female hopped onto tha 4th verse; iz it T-Dub? I’m sure it’s her ‘cause if Level’s on tha feature, it has ta be mo family-related people! I’ll leave it blank ‘til I officially know. My Rating: 4.6


13. “One Wish”
Oh no, not this kinda shit again! >>> WTH wit tha Ray J sample soundin’ like a gurl? Tha beat’s not even dat good either; sounds like Chingy-type shit, smh! Damn, it’s ova 4:30 too! I think tha song I rated 2.3 iz betta than this; don’t even need ta leave feedback! Wit tha hook: can sound funny. But, this izn’t tha CD I would get laughs from! My Rating: 1.9


14. “Nothing To Lose”
“Nothing To Loose”? What gets “loose”, smh? It’s “lose”, lol! >>> Damn, why iz it 5:53? Glad it’s tight, at least; that’s tha MAIN point!! Tha 1st verse iz pretty good; what’s up wit tha “pourin’ two” fa someone dead? I still don’t understand dat shit… Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice wit how it’s bein’ delivered; nothin’ but dat top notch shit from y’all! Glad it kept it gangsta throughout tha verse!! I LUV tha 2nd “don’t become a tarGETTTTT” shit in tha hook, lol!!! Tha 3rd verse iz nice here; keepin’ thangz goin’ fa a long-ass song! There’s still 2:05 left and three verses have past! A 4th verse fit here and it’s soundin’ pretty nice; gotta luv these BR voices of tha 225!! Oh, Young Hustla did tha beat; dumb shit! My Rating: 4.6


15. “How You Feel”
I think this’ll be good although I was a lil’ odd when I saw it at first… >>> Yea, this iz a DEFINITE plus!! Gotta LUV tha energy in tha hook and beat once again!! Tha 1st verse’s DEFINITELY shit I luv; can’t dislike it in ANY way!! Keepin’ it rollin’ wit tha 2nd verse here, soundin’ GR8 once again!! Lil’ Eric on tha 3rd verse here and he’s keepin’ this bumpin’ wit tha “money” subject, lol. Nice job, all y’all! My Rating: 4.4


16. “That’s Y”
LOL @ just tha letter “y”; wonder what ta expect… >>> Sounds like a Q-Red beat-start! Yea, I wonder what’ll come outta dis joint! I don’t get tha talkin’ in tha background when I’m tryin’ ta hear tha hook…; lol, sounded mixed-up? Tha 1st verse’s nice; good job! Now, I hear tha hook and it’s on some street shit to tha fullest! Tha 2nd verse held it DOWN tha whole entire way!! It was like rhyme afta rhyme fa tha hood here!! Damn, this was kinda short as there was only two verses… My Rating: 4.5


17. “He Say, She Say” Feat. Ville Boyz
I dunno ‘bout dis… >>> Okay, DJ Big Wayne on tha track so at least there’s no depressin’ shit! Oh, Ville Boyz on tha feature? Feelin’ tha “DJ Big Wayne” tag flowin’ throughout tha beginning! Yea, this DEFINITELY iz REAL NICE for tha hook!! It’s just SO CATCHY wit how it’s bein’ delivered in a Baton Rouge perspective!!! Tha 1st verse’s pretty NICE here wit tha content!! Oh, tha Big Wayne beat pattern; SHIT, YEA!!! Tha beat’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CRAZY TOO!!!!!!!!!! Gotta luv Big Wayne to tha fullest!! NICE job on tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse too!! You NEVA KNOW what’s hidden inside tha songs until you hear ‘em!! Shit, yea!! Keepin’ dat Big Wayne pattern goin’ in tha beginning of tha 2nd verse wit tha GR8 rappin’ too!!! Tha 2nd verse’s just REALLY goin’ here; LUV IT!!! LOL, Head’s on tha 3rd verse? Just NOTHIN’ but dat gangsta shit!!! LOL, here comes tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse, havin’ a different voice than Head’s ta hold it down on tha track “too” (yea, dat’s when you use “too”)!! My Rating: 4.8

Not listed on tha back cover? What iz it, then? >>> Shitty ending song… I’ll just call it “There You Go”. I guess there was a reason it was left off tha back cover, smh. Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good wit tha delivery; maybe, I’ll like it a lil’ more than some of tha low-rated songs on this CD. I like tha start to tha 3rd verse wit tha “smokin’ blunts” together; that’s a plus… My Rating: 3.4


Overall: Really, it was a REAL GR8 CD! Lots of REAL HOT songs and REAL HOT production!! Y’all didn’t need too many features ‘cause y’all a group, which means, y’all can do tha damn thang already! Keep up tha GR8 work!!
