Time for tha final review for Yung Blaze. This time, it’s for one of his other groups, tha Live Boyz and their mixtape, “Tha Come Up Mixtape Vol. 1”. Live Boyz are Lil’ M, Yung Blaze, Lil’ Crumb & Big Sweet. Start Time: 1:12 PM | End Time: 1:59 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Intro (Yung Blaze)”
Must be a song if tha length’s 3:24… >>> Tha beat sounds pretty hot here and your vocals are somewhat clear so I can hear ‘em; feelin’ this shit! Tha hook’s soundin’ pretty tight wit how you deliver it and tha 1st verse ain’t that bad… Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good too. If this was a lil’ cleaner, I could prolly throw it on my radio show… Why’d you have ta ruin it wit tha stupid A-Tune towards tha bridge? Luckily, it still broke tha 4.0 rating for me; fuck wit me! My Rating: 4.1


02. “Act A Donkey”
>>> Didn’t you rap on this beat before? What’s wit tha obsession wit “tha club” on tha 1st verse? What’s up wit tha dude on tha 2nd verse? Not exactly feelin’ how he deliverin’ this shit… What tha hell at tha “1, 2, 3…” shit? My Rating: 3.2


03. “Baby Mama”
>>> Doesn’t sound bad at all; you sound almost grown from tha past tapes or somethin’, lol… Sounds normal and you sound pretty cool here wit tha flow; you’re finally addin’ a lil’ character to your voice! Tha dude on tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ cool but it sounds like he’s got somethin’ goin’ on or somethin’. He sounds a lil’ like a very young dude or somethin’s in his mouth (Lil’ M)…; iz this serious, lol? Tha 3rd verse sounds focused ta this shit…; it’s Big Sweet here… LOL @ tha loud, cold beat ending, lol? My Rating: 3.4


04. “Call Up Ya Goonz”
Anotha familiar title? I don’t really like dis length… >>> Tha “I Smoke, I Drank” beat this time but tha vocals are soundin’ a lil’ distorted here… It sounds like you’re tryin’ to come through raw or somethin’ on tha verse… Tha 2nd verse sounds like dat dude wit shit in his mouth; I wouldn’t mind doin’ business wit him ‘cause he just sounds real cool for some reason… However, tha rappin’s a lil’ weird. Huh? Why iz it just tha beat for tha next 2:12? Oh, okay, tha hook came back… LOL @ how tha 3rd verse sounds; this iz pretty weird… Tha rappin’ iz horrible and it’s somewhat hard ta hear… My Rating: 2.6


05. “Lil’ M’s Skit”
>>> Tha beat sounds like somethin’ I’d produce… Damn, it’s this dude; shit, yea!! Should just be called a “freestyle.” Kinda wack but I enjoy him, especially this beat too! My Rating: 3.3


06. “Killas”
Not really likin’ this title but let’s see what happens… >>> A familiar beat and it sounds a lil’ like it doesn’t fit wit tha “in tha club” and “goin’ hard in tha paint” shit… “We kill people all tha time;” why? What’s wit this? LOL @ how Big Sweet’s comin’ through wit an attitude and shit, lol! What was wit tha pause in tha rappin’ before tha “sittin’ wit—Yung Blaze” or whateva dat was? I didn’t like tha content or tha lyrics on this… My Rating: 2.2


07. “On Da Corner”
>>> I don’t like tha DFB sound in tha background of tha beat. Anotha “we kill people” song? C’mon… Tha last verse for some reason sounded betta… My Rating: 2.0


½time: Back at a 3.0 average CD rating once again… This CD sounds betta I guess ‘cause tha first few songs…


08. “I Remember”
Not likin’ tha 4:49 length… >>> Tha beat sounds hot and Big Sweet’s soundin’ pretty good on tha 1st verse; tha rappin’ sounds kinda mixed up towards tha near-end… Tha rappin’ iz startin’ ta get weird and wack; what’s wit tha “dad” shit? At least it made me “lol,” lol. My Rating: 3.0


09. “Forever”
>>> Not likin’ this beginning sound… Okay, I’m skippin’ and stoppin’ @ :32! My Rating: 1.0


10. “Big Sweet Skit”
>>> Tha beat’s cool here and it sounds like he has his attitude on lock… Didn’t expect there to be two verses but this was not bad… My Rating: 3.4


11. “Da Jungle”
You have like five minutes on tha length; betta not be bullshittin’ me! >>> I like how this beginning sounds in tha beat… Good beat but it doesn’t sound like tha rappin’s accurate wit how tha flow should be… Oh no @ tha “I kill people all tha time;” hate hearin’ dat! Tha rappin’s way too off here… My Rating: 3.1


12. “Mama’s Love”
Don’t like tha title at all… >>> This ain’t for me at all; I should just skip it… I like how tha beat has a lot of added BPMs… Positive song but not for undaground Hip-Hop in my opinion… My Rating: 1.9


13. “My Everything”
>>> You said, “Big Sweet on tha track?” Does that mean he’s on tha beat or tha song? Anyway, gay-ass A-Tune so I’m skippin’! *Stops @ :34!* My Rating: 1.0


14. “Freestyle 1”
LOL, ending it wit a “freestyle”? >>> Tha beat almost sounds like “Soul Survivor” on tha intro but why iz this low? “Freestyle” or not, I don’t like hearin’ “gun” shit in tha rhymes here… Tha 2nd verse sounds louder? Why tha volume differences? Why tha pause on “I’ma… blow dis bitch,” lol? Why tha “blue bandanna”/crip-type shit? Tha last verse sounds like a speech? My Rating: 1.5


Overall: I thought it was gonna be a lil’ betta based off tha first few songs but it kinda took a toll towards tha 2nd ½… Not that bad but keep tryin’…
