Got anotha review comin’ up here; my 5th one for today! It’s my boy Leezy a.k.a. Da Louisiana Mac and his “Never Take Me Alive” mixtape! I’m FINALLY gettin’ to this! Too many CDs to review caused tha delay but it’s now here! Lemme FINALLY get your music on tha radio too!! Start Time: 7:56 PM | End Time: 9:15 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

Tha title track; let’s see how we gon start thangz… >>> Sounds strong on tha beat here, ya dig! Wow, REALLY comin’ through on tha hook REAL, REAL TIGHT!!! THIS iz a DEFINITE way ta start thangz off!!! I luv how tha quality’s just SO TIGHT and tha verse’s just REAL TIGHT wit how you deliver it, ya dig!! My Rating: 4.9


02. “Hard Living”
Hope it doesn’t sound sad or anything… >>> LOL, not too bad for a start although I did hear this beat before on someone’s mixtape; this sounds much betta!! I LUV tha high quality on tha soundin’, ya dig!! Tha hook’s cool and you sound pretty good wit how you holdin’ err-body down, ya dig!! Definitely a nice job on tha 1st verse and tha 2nd verse’s doin’ tha damn thang too!! My Rating: 4.4


03. “Ackal Wired Up”
Iz dat someone’s name on tha title? >>> Sounds like a tight skit in tha beginning here…; very interestin’! REAL GLAD there’s a skit in tha beginning here ‘cause it’s tight as fuck!! REAL GLAD it was 1:30+ and now, I hear tha song and it’s soundin’ gr8!! This iz pretty good for tha content and whateva this “Ackal” iz! Nice soundin’ on tha beat and you’re keepin’ it G wit dis content and gr8 rhymes! Although only one verse, this shit’s pretty tight! I’ll count tha skit as a part of my rating! My Rating: 4.5


04. “Looking So Clean” Feat. Duke Dawg
Let’s see what dis iz about; glad ta know there’s a feature here! >>> Wow, MORE HOT SHIT!!! Tha beat’s FIRE and tha hook’s soundin’ REAL TIGHT, ya dig!! Nice job wit tha 1st verse here, my boy!! LOL, here comes Duke Dawg on tha 2nd verse and I almost thought he was Chamillionaire for a second, lol! Tha 3rd verse iz you and it sounds pretty tight here wit dis kick-ass beat!! My Rating: 4.6


05. “Gotta Maintain” Feat. Sik Wit It & Miss Thug
I think that’s two different people (‘cause DatPiff usually takes tha “and” symbol out on tha tracklist). Anyway, I remember this; lemme review it. >>> Not really into these kinda songs; I just think tha Trance-like sound in tha beat’s tight. Not too bad though… Tha 1st verse sounds pretty good from you; makes this sound betta than thinkin’ negative… Yea, this must be Sik Wit It on tha 2nd verse, soundin’ good wit his attitude and bein’ a collaborator, ya dig! My Rating: 3.9


06. “Drop It Low” Feat. R Swag & Fullgrown
Looks like a silly song; lemme see… >>> Oh, I rememba this hook; I used this in one of your commercials… Very catchy hook here and you’re doin’ a pretty good job here on tha 1st verse, ya dig! Tha dude on tha 2nd verse sounds pretty tight; I’m feelin’ his Baton Rouge-styled rappin’!! Tha 3rd verse’s not bad here; good job for anotha contributor on tha track! My Rating: 4.2


07. “I’m Good”
>>> A slow start but a short length so let’s see what happens… Sounds like you’re deliverin’ a smooth kinda song here… Tha verse’s pretty “good;” you did ya thang wit holdin’ dis joint down. I like how tha beat slowed down towards tha end! My Rating: 3.7


08. “I’ma G” Feat. Big League G
LOL, you even have a “G” on tha track, lol! Let’s see how good this iz… >>> Oh, a jacked beat here (see tha title)… Tha “G” must be on tha 1st verse and he’s doin’ a NICE job!! Tha “vessel” part’s tight and I like tha “Hannibal” part too; good shit! Also, I’m DEFINITELY feelin’ all these anti-fake rhymes about all tha “fakes” out there; I can feel dis!! Leezy, you’re on tha 2nd verse here and you’re spittin’ mo hot shit… My Rating: 4.1


09. “Wouldn’t Make It” Feat. Big League G
It’s #9 on tha filenames so I think you accidentally let it be #10 on tha DatPiff tracklisting… >>> Wow, HOT start in tha beat again!!! Tha hook sounds good and tha 1st verse’s tight from you, just grindin’ to tha fullest!! Tha G’s on tha 2nd verse here and he’s such a gr8 collaborator for you; DEFINITELY gr8 chemistry here!! My Rating: 4.4


10. “Purple Got Me Smellin’ Funky” Feat. Vice Gripp, Desiana & Wrecka
Interestin’ lineup wit a REAL TIGHT title; let’s see how GR8 this iz!! >>> Ooh, Webbie sample; sounds GR8!! Damn, tha beat sounds SO FUCKIN’ TIGHT!!!!! No wonder, tha title made tha beat sound like a REAL ADDICTIVE DRUG!!! Damn, just LUVIN’ how tha hook just KEEPS GOIN’ ALL THA WAY ‘til :58!!! You’re on tha 1st verse and just doin’ tha DAMN THANG on this KICK-ASS beat!! Ooh, tha beat has some MO HOT SOUNDS @ 1:20!!! Tha dude on tha 2nd verse’s REALLY doin’ tha damn thang!!! Glad y’all LUV “smokin’;” dumb shit!!! Tha 3rd verse sounds like a tight Southern dude, just doin’ tha damn thang here! Did you hop onto tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse? It blends in so smooth, ya dig!! My Rating: 4.8


½time: KICKIN’ BUKU ASS RIGHT HERE, MY BOY!!! A REAL NICE 4.4 average CD rating and tha production’s just ON FIRE!!!!! Keep tha REAL HOT shit up!!!


11. “Destined For Greatness”
Damn, 5:51 on tha length? Wasn’t this tha original album title? >>> L.B. from Word Of South on tha intro? Damn, this iz a DEFINITE plus!! Now, a Mr. Phat (from 337) on tha intro too; good shit!! Tha beat’s not bad and tha hook’s pretty good wit your future plans; good shit! Tha 1st verse’s pretty good wit tha so-so lyrics… Tha 2nd verse iz aimin’ more at a route that’s not exactly for me but tha content’s strong… Interestin’ wit all tha shout outs towards tha end… Even Joe On The Track on tha outro? Good shit!! One of tha dudes sound like Terror of Down Bad on tha end too? Real interestin’ wit all these shout outs! As for tha song, not bad… My Rating: 3.8


12. “Shut The Club Down” Feat. Full Throttle Ent., BLG & Savage
Oh, you teamin’ up wit Full Throttle and them? Shit, yea!! >>> DAMN, ANOTHA REAL HOT BEAT INTRO!!! Tha hook sounds like Savage? I gon source him on tha feature since he’s doin’ a REAL GR8 job on tha hook (correct me if I’m wrong)!! Here’s tha 1st verse from you and it’s soundin’ REAL GR8 on this beat; UNDENIABLE!!! One of tha dudes from Full Throttle Ent. sounds REAL TIGHT here on tha 2nd verse!!! Iz dat an upgraded Dyl or somethin’? REAL TIGHT!! Shit, yea, dat boy A-Mar from Full Throttle Ent. on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse!! DEFINITELY energetic to tha fullest on this shit!!! Tha 3rd verse must be BLG, doin’ a nice job here too! Classic shit here!!! My Rating: 4.9

This iz a familiar title… >>> Sounds like a hot beat start… Cool rappin’ on tha 1st verse for this gurl; wasn’t “nigga” a part of tha title too, lol? I don’t know but I rememba seein’ dat somewhere… Tha hook sounds cool here; I just like tha title for some reason… Tha 2nd verse sounds like you’re really dedicated once again; keepin’ thangz goin’ consistently… My Rating: 4.3


14. “No Luv” Feat. Gabe G
How will this collab go? >>> Not feelin’ tha intro so let’s see how this’ll go… So far, not bad 1st verse from you; real shit here… Sounds like tha hook’s pretty gutta; hope life doesn’t “end wit a slug!” Gabe G’s on tha 2nd verse here and once again, anotha gr8 collaborator! He sounds interestin’ ta listen to so thumbs up fa him contributin’ some real shit here! My Rating: 4.1

Ooh, a lil’ intermission? What’s this? >>> This iz interestin’; real shit to tha fullest!! LOL @ tha sound effects; really likin’ ‘em!! Glad y’all addressin’ some real-ass shit here!! VERY GOOD skit; DEFINITELY needed on this mixtape!! My Rating: N/A


16. “Anti-Social” Feat. Tha Kidd
LOL @ a title like dis! Let’s see how good it iz! >>> Tha beat sounds interestin’… Nice job wit tha 1st verse right chea; now I can see why you “anti-social.” Speakin’ of dat, tha hook sounds good and definin’ too; nice anthem right chea, ya dig! Nice job wit tha 2nd verse too… I agree wit tha “you gettin’ money… stop tha stuntin’” shit; it’s almost like “I’m gettin’ money” iz tha new version of bein’ homosexual or somethin’, lol! Now, on a betta note, here’s Tha Kidd on tha 3rd verse, doin’ his thang on this shit wit you on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse too! I like how you said your name towards tha end of tha verse, ya dig. My Rating: 4.3

Let’s hear it! >>> LOL, just a quick freestyle wit tha short length! Feelin’ this shit; I might’ve heard this beat before? “This track needs surgery;” dumb shit!! I like all tha screwed shit towards tha end of each line, ya heard me!! Ooh, fast rappin’ too; DEFINITELY a plus here!!! I like tha “I gotta check myself into tha hospital ‘cause my flow iz sick” line; reminded me of Savage right there!! My Rating: 4.7


18. “Real From Da Fake” Feat. R Swag & King Rice
Didn’t have a preview for this (‘cause I thought it was “Never Was My Homie”) but this iz #19 on tha DatPiff tracklisting when it’s really #18… >>> Beat’s nice and smooth here, on a Southern tip! Nice job wit tha 1st verse, keepin’ it real to tha bone!! Tha 2nd verse iz R Swag and he’s just REALLY doin’ a NICE job here; “recognize real!!” REALLY feelin’ his attitude and what he’s bringin’ to tha table!! Tha 3rd verse iz King Rice and he’s spittin’ some tight shit; REALLY feelin’ tha ad-libs a WHOLE lot!! My Rating: 4.5


19. “Never Was My Homie” Feat. Wrecka
Let’s see what dis gon sound like; feel anticipated ‘cause of tha featured dude… >>> Sounds like somethin’ recorded from a phone and transferrin’ to a GR8-soundin’ beat! Pretty tight quality here; cool hook too! REAL NICE emerge onto tha 1st verse, Leezy; GR8 attitude!! I really like how you say, “You ain’t my homie, dawg, you ain’t my homie, ‘round;” sounded tight and Southern to tha bone!! Wrecka’s on tha 2nd verse here and he’s got a smooth voice but some tight shit he’s spittin’! My Rating: 4.2


20. “Life Fucked Up”
Let’s see if this’ll be good or bad… >>> Tha beat start sounds hot and you’re givin’ me anticipatin’ by sayin’, “bruh,” in tha beginning! Okay, tha hook’s soundin’ good wit tha beat and how you’re deliverin’ tha real shit to tha fullest!! Tha 1st verse expresses more of that “real vs. fake” shit dat be goin’ on; glad you’re tacklin’ it! Tha 2nd verse has a strong perspective on “Haiti!!” Really, DEFINITELY HOPE “an earthquake don’t get us!!” My Rating: 4.0


21. “Don’t Cry”
Oh no, not a sad-ending to a REAL GR8 mixtape? >>> LOL, Evanescence “My Immortal” sample on tha hook; acceptable for me although I hope this ain’t too sad still… Interestin’ dat it’s sampled here on tha hook and tha beat… You sound like Lil’ Ganggsta here on tha 1st verse; good shit wit tha real, consistent-rapid shit you spittin’! I didn’t expect it to be only one verse but it’s cool fa what it iz; definitely a pass for me. My Rating: 4.0


Overall: I’m givin’ you a BIG FAT A-grade for this mixtape right here, my dawg!! I honestly, from tha bottom of my heart, REALLY LUVED this mixtape!! I can’t tell you HOW MANY REAL, REAL HOT SONGS ARE ON HERE!!! It’s not just hot songs, it’s REAL, REAL HOT SONGS!!! You DEFINITELY supplied tha WHOLE entire mixtape wit FIYA-ASS production and DEFINITELY didn’t let me down ONE TIME on this CD!!! Keep doin’ tha damn thang and KEEP puttin’ out these REAL HOT songs, CDs, EVERYTHING!!! Give a shout out ta all tha people on this mixtape too; they should fuck wit me on some real shit!!
