Tha one that’s up next iz my boy Pigg, who I reviewed two CDs ago today when he was wit One-i on tha Anti-Social mixtape. Now, he’s on his own wit tha If Words Could Kill (The Mixtape). Let’s see how he can do fa me (hopefully dat TIGHT-ASS shit)!! He’s a New Orleans representa, so here goes a 504ful (lol) review fa Pigg If Words Could Kill (The Mixtape) from me!! Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0. Each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself with my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Intro”
Looks like you have an intro track too (just like One-i wit his “2 Weeks Notice” intro track)! Let’s see how you hold down a WHOLE entire mixtape by yourself… >>> I thought I have heard this beat before? I don’t even know what it’s called… Oh, you’re my age (although when this really came out [Spring 2009 {I think}], I was 20); that’s watz good. As far as tha rappin’, it’s soundin’ GR8 on this and I’m actually feelin’ tha beat! Nice job on this intro track for a start. My Rating: 3.7
02. “Words Have The Power To Kill”
This iz a powerful title, but iz it powerful enough fa me ta really like? Let’s find out! >>> Tha first few seconds of tha track was kinda iffy for a start ta get used to, but it kicked in wit hi-hats and sounds betta! You sound gr8 wit tha rappin’ and tha flow iz DEFINITELY on tha street level! Nice job wit tha 1st verse and tha hook iz good too; thanx again for all tha “power.”
Now, tha 2nd verse iz here and it has nice “hauntin’” lyrics; good job deliverin’ this shit! Nice job wit this song right here; I’m in tha middle wit it but more on an above level. My Rating: 3.903. Pigg Speaks

04. “Murder Flow”
Must be a jacked beat song? Let’s see… >>> Sounds like a catchy start goin’ on here. I don’t see it bein’ a jacked beat; it sounds good wit tha beat start, intro and tha hook!! Tha 1st verse sounds gr8 here; gotta luv tha “flow,” ya dig (or should I say, “murder flow,” lol)!
Tha 2nd verse sounds like it ‘bout ta be “hot” wit tha “burnin’” lyrics you spittin’; tight shit! It got even MORE GRIMY at 2:40 wit tha gunshots!! My Rating: 4.305. “Long Time Coming”
This could be anything; lemme check it out! >>> And iz anything and that anything turned into a Cam’ron/Jaheim “Lord You Know” beat. Sounds like a long intro… Glad you was, “listenin’ ta TLC;” thumbs up! It’s an okay 1st verse but how many rappers am I gonna hear on tha same beats, NO LESS from tha same state?
Just wonderin’… Nothin’ really goin’ on in tha hook fa me so no comment on it. Tha 2nd verse sounded betta, but still on a decent level fa me. Oh no, a long 50+ second outro? Not really needed fa a song like this, but I’ll let you do ya thang… I still find it weird that so many people get on this beat here and there; this iz 2004. Plus, I thought this was one random song at tha time, lol. My Rating: 2.906. “B.A.R.S. (Better At Rapping Shit)”
LOL @ tha B.A.R.S. acronym! Gotta feel some of these titles! It looks like a Cassidy title so let’s see… >>> Almost sounds like Junior Reid in tha beginning of this song… I don’t know tha beat, but it sounds like a betta start here and tha lyrics are betta fa me ta listen to. Good job holdin’ yaself down on tha 1st verse. LOL, no hook? Now, tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ like a random upcomin’ rapper from tha internet. NOOOO!!! A 50+ second beat outro; you could’ve cut it! My Rating: 3.1
07. “The Best”
Prove it… with this song! >>> Oh no, a vocal sample beat… I like your “on my shit” line; it’ll ALWAYS be remembered from Yung Yola fa me, although wit you, it was Lil’ Cali. Tha rhymes sound MUCH betta once tha 1:00 mark passes; tight shit here! I like your ending to tha song wit describin’ that you’re strivin’ ta be, “tha best,” ya dig! My Rating: 3.8
08. “News Flash”
You mean “News Flash”? >>> LOL, where did dat beat kick-in come from? Now, you’re soundin’ like my boy 1st Degree (anotha upcomin’ rapper outta New Orleans). This iz anotha jacked beat (on tha Diplomats type of style ‘cause once again, I forget tha beat) and it sounds good on your part, but gives me an lol @ times, “lol.” I like tha consistent rappin’ throughout tha whole song, but there has ta be some catchiness. You need ta hit up some original tracks, although I know this iz just a mixtape. My Rating: 3.4
09. “Speak Your Mind”
A lotta short lengths here; anotha unda 2:10 length… >>> Tha beat sounds cool this time. Okay, tha rhymes sound betta here and I can handle ‘em wit this beat! I wish you could make songs outta these tracks instead of just freestyles ‘cause I would like ‘em more. They just seem like really long verses and these 30+ second beat outros ain’t helpin’ either… My Rating: 3.5
10. “My Girl Taaka”
Hope her name iz spelled right; it’s your “girl” so why wouldn’t it be? >>> Oh no, not a really, REALLY slow start? I don’t think it should matter ta me ‘cause this mixtape iz kinda on a slow start… Tha hook iz different too wit tha singin’… Okay and just decent for me. You did pretty good on your 1st verse… I don’t know what ta say about tha 2nd verse… There’s no catchiness at all in tha flow throughout this song… My Rating: 2.7
11. “Don’t Push Me”
Looks like you’re gettin’ tougher fa this mixtape? I HOPE so!! You NEED ta let out some thangz!! >>> Oh no, double sample here wit tha typical, TYPICAL, TYPICAL Pac, “I ain’t no killa but don’t push me,” quote as well as a random vocal sample in tha beat. Kinda a double negative fa me so let’s see how I last wit this one… I seem impressed wit this one. Tha beat sounds MUCH BETTA at :56 wit tha HOT effect it has; makes me like it a lot! Your rappin’ was much betta this time so that’s a plus!! Sounds pretty good on tha 2nd verse too wit what you’re spittin’. Finally, a 3rd verse on this mixtape, lol! It sounds a lil’ betta this time; nice comeback to tha mixtape! My Rating: 3.9
½time: I need a lil’ break so I finna call my boy Hannibal and come right back… *Calls* Real short call, but it’s A LOT betta than NOTHIN’!! 1:21 serves a WHOLE LOT when you fuck wit someone REAL GR8 like Hannibal!! Anyway, back to tha mixtape: It’s off to just an okay start. It seems like there’s a lot goin’ on here fa me ta really judge… Not that much tight songs, a lot of decent songs and some that are just not for me. Who knows how tha remainin’ 11 will be ‘cause tha average CD rating iz only at a 3.5 right now…
12. “Target Practice”
Oh wow, talk about SHIFTIN’ tha ratings!! This one iz a SKY ROCKET rating song, lol!! Once again, anotha HOT Rodney beat!! This iz DEFINITELY HOT!! I like tha hook (sounds like a Weezy sample?) and tha beat iz DEFINITELY one of tha BEST on here!!! You REALLY doin’ tha damn thang on your verse!! Too bad this a 3:00 song.
Nice job on tha 1st verse and it even ended so fast, lol. Tha 2nd verse DEFINITELY a RAW verse!!! All tha lyrics go hard and tha beat just iz CRAZY!!! My Current Rating: 4.813. “Pushin’”
Oh… *YAWN* … Why these same beats again? I don’t even have ta hear it; I just KNOW! >>> Yup… Anotha random-ass song/beat that just keeps comin’ up on so many fuckin’ mixtapes year afta year fa some reason… Betta rhymes on here than before, but low interest ‘cause of tha jacked beat. Even a 2nd verse fa this; okay, good. My Rating: 3.6
14. “Without A Fight”
???’s are in my head… >>> LOL, talk about random shit. Rocko’s beat for… umm… “This Morning”; I rememba this one. Talk about a while ago and it was only 2 years ago; oh, those GR8 dayz… Tha beginning of my Louisiana connection startin’, not knowin’ like ANYONE but a few people, lol! Beginnin’ was aight and tha rappin’ iz on tha decent level this time too. Finally a catchy hook here, lol! I like how it sounds wit tha title and err-thang! Tha 2nd verse sounded good… LOL @ tha beat reversin’ at tha end of tha 2nd verse; anotha random thing, lol? My Rating: 3.7
15. “It’s Nothing” Feat. One-i
Ooh, anotha rating shifter here wit this song! REAL GLAD you included it here too!! Sounded like an ordinary start, but tha hook REALLY took off!! Now, it’s DEFINITELY not typical; it’s tight!! Gr8 job, One-i!! Pigg, you’re on tha 1st verse! You’re RIPPIN’ UP tha 1st verse!!! One-i iz on tha 2nd verse, and he soundin’ GR8 on this one too!! LOL @ tha beat and how it stopped right before tha 2:00 mark; that was a trick, lol. My Current Rating: 4.5
16. “She Want A Thug”
I’m almost afraid ta see what this gon be… I can picture a jacked beat, but I’m not sure which one… >>> Not tha one I was thinkin’ of, but once again, lemme just complain about tha repetitiveness of people usin’ this STUPID-ASS “Dougie” beat!! UGH!!! I reviewed someone like a week ago and heard this beat; WTF? What’s wit it? No catchiness in tha hook although you sound a lil’ different in tha 1st verse. I like how you finally had put a catchy flow in your song, but this izn’t where I’m at fa likin’! No comment on tha 2nd verse also; we’ll let this one go! My Rating: 2.1
17. “Freestyle (I’mma Do Me)”
Okay, then I WON’T guess tha next beat since you gave it away! >>> Guess you luv your Rocko; glad you do. I wonder when dat dude’ll make a comeback? LOL @ your “erection” part in tha beginning of tha verse ta start off tha freestyle!
Tha flow sounds on a gutta tip here so you know it’s a plus! I can’t keep up wit tha freestyle much unless it changes, so I don’t have much extra shit ta say about this… Neva mind, you FINALLY added a hook at 2:08. LOL, did I say “hook?” It was like a few seconds… My Rating: 3.718. “Throwed Off” Feat. One-i & Cas
Yea, anotha GR8 one fa this mixtape!! Anotha REAL GOOD beat here!! Hearin’ tha hook and it sounded cool. Gr8 rappin’ from dat boy One-i on tha 1st verse; street shit! Gr8 shit on tha 1st verse, and tha hook goes hard like tha last song! “Oink oink” @ tha 2nd verse, lol (you’re on it)! You sounds like you got a “heart” on this shit right here wit how you’re spittin’! Gr8 shit once again!! I like tha “get cut” line; razor-bladin’ shit right here!! Let’s see what Cas will do on tha 3rd verse… I guess that’s him. When I was hearin’ him on A-Mar & Dyl’s shit, I couldn’t tell between Dyl and him at times, but it’s soundin’ good! All y’all spittin’ street shit, rippin’ these tracks apart!! Glad he “doesn’t ‘get silly’;” thumbs up fa bein’ V.I.C.less!

A short song… Let’s see how you come through on it… >>> Speakin’ of you quotin’ Bone Crusher on one of tha previous songs, this sounds like him and tha way he sounds on tha sample (sayin’ “killa”). Tha beat and sample iz REAL TIGHT here so this could be anotha REAL GR8 song on this mixtape!! Tha verse had some tight-ass rhymes and there was even a hook that went REAL HARD on this shit; gotta luv when you added your “muthafuckin’” parts, lol! My Rating: 4.4
20. “I Put On”
No preview needed. >>> Why didn’t DatPiff take this outta their folder? There so fuckin’ stupid when they leave shit like this on there but take out random songs. I’m in tha mood ta skip this song wit an instant, but whateva, I’ll suffer. WTF @ tha qualities changin’ from good throughout tha verses ta shitty on tha hook? Not good ta have quality changes. No comment on tha verses; you KNOW I can’t deal wit played out songs like this! My Rating: 1.1

One more song… >>> This iz a jacked beat (I’m sure) and it’s just okay. Rhymes are pretty good on this one verse. I like how you said, “blue black,” on tha verse, as it reminds me of my boy BluBlack outta G-Lane in Baton Rouge! My Rating: 3.5
Overall: At first, I expected this CD ta be extremely lyrical or somethin’. However, it somewhat mixed a lil’ of dat, but was more on tha “jacked beat” side. It was a decent review, but it would’ve been like disaster if it wasn’t for those few songs from tha Anti-Social mixtape bein’ on here. I think you collaborate REALLY WELL wit original productions (e.g., tha Anti-Social mixtape wit One-i)! Try ta stick ta original productions and collaborations! Keep doin’ tha damn thang out in tha N.O.!
