Wat up!! Ya boy FrankieThaLuckyDog in tha buildin’, ‘bout ta do anotha CD review, ya dig! Up 1st for tha day iz Zippa Castro, who was on One-i’s Barry Bonds: Flow On Steroids mixtape. Now, I found out (afta typin’ his name in DatPiff) dat he’s got two mixtapes out: Don’t Sleep, Get Money (released around Spring 2009) and While You Were Sleeping, released only a month ago (which I’ll be reviewin’ about 20 reviewz from now, lol). Both interestin’ names, so since we’re reviewin’ tha older CDs from tha year first, here goes my review fa Zippa Castro Don’t Sleep, Get Money! Start Time: 11:14 AM | End Time: 12:42 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0. Each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself with my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Everytime I Roll Through”
When hearin’ you on One-i’s CD last night, I just figured you were a black dude. However, you’re a white dude, so let’s see if you can be anotha addition to dat Louisiana Rap section; gr8 title for a startin’ track!! >>> Oh no, jacked beats, lol! Startin’ it off iz tha Paul Wall/Lil’ Keke “Break ‘Em Off” beat… LOL, you came outta nowhere wit tha vocals in tha beginning wit tha hook; you sound good. Tha hook sounded definitely catchy! It sounds like you got some good rhymes goin’ on in tha 1st verse. You’re tacklin’ a lotta thangz; good shit! Ooh, I like tha background screwed vocals throughout tha song! Ooh, you, “in tha kitchen cookin’ crack,” when it comes to these hot rhymes; I feel dat! Not just hot rhymes, but you, “sell it by tha sack;” you DEFINITELY on tha grind, my boy! Definitely a nice job on tha 2nd verse and tha outro sounds cool; props on talkin’ at tha end (mixin’ it like a skit)! My Rating: 4.2


02. “Shake Back” Feat. One-i
Got ta hear this one last night and I did like it! YES!! A Vybe production!!! This shit sounds gr8 and you sound REAL GOOD on this shit!! DEFINITELY a catchy joint right here and fits GR8 fa this mixtape!! You’re even on tha 1st verse! You doin’ tha damn thang and I’m glad you got your “pants saggin’” ‘cause you doin’ tha damn thang! Here’s One-i on tha 2nd verse… Still comin’ through fa tha hood! Let’s see what we got fa tha 3rd verse… You soundin’ “outrageously crazy” (as you said) on this verse AND song!! You DEFINITELY sound like you on ya grind wit this Rap shit; gotta feel dat! My Current Rating: 4.4


03. “I Could Get It Right Now”
Looks like you are “gettin’ it right now” based off tha flows on tha last two songs; let’s see if you got it “now,” lol! >>> Sounds like a jacked beat but it’s REAL gr8 whateva it iz! Gotta luv these dark beats, ESPECIALLY when you add your gutta/hood lyrics 100% of tha time!! Tha 1st verse sounded gr8 and if this iz an original production, who’s tha producer? Gotta know ‘cause they sound like they did tha damn thang fa you!! Tha hook sounds good; gotta feel all tha lyrics bein’ spit includin’ tha title! Tha 2nd verse sounds like you got respect in tha hood; glad “tha Rouge” luvs it! Nice job deliverin’ tha 2nd verse and as for tha hook again, glad you “rollin’ like a dice now;” catchy-ass shit here!! My Rating: 4.7


04. “Got A Hold On Me”
As much as I praised your album titles, I feel that your song titles get tha same pluses from me; gotta luv ‘em! >>> Anotha catchy beat start; gotta luv tha dark piano keys!! Nice job wit tha flow here, deliverin’ a lotta lyrics! Tha hook iz definitely interestin’ wit tha “Devil” gettin’ a “hold on you;” gr8 job wit tha hook!! Keepin’ this shit goin’ wit tha 2nd verse too! Gotta luv how you come through wit these rhymes and err-thang!! Even added a 3rd verse on here and you’re still spittin’ dat hot hood shit! My Rating: 4.4


05. “Rockin’ Like That”
I know you gon continue ta keep your swag up on this one! >>> LOL, finally recognized anotha beat… “Trap Or Die” from Jeezy & Beezy (Bun B), lol. You comin’ through pretty good on tha flow here on tha 1st verse; gotta luv all these white boyz rappin’ in Louisiana holdin’ tha undaground down!! Sounded pretty good and tha hook iz REAL TIGHT wit tha “my boy in tha kitchen, weighin’ up sacks” line!! Tha 2nd verse sounds good wit all tha shit you rappin’ about; gotta like your “pop one, pop two” line! ROFL @ tha start to tha 3rd verse wit tha “bangin’ like two skeletons fuckin’ on tha … roof” line!! I like your ending to tha 3rd verse wit tha “I make beats shiver” line!! My Rating: 4.5


06. “I Don’t Like You”
Again, you’re prolly gonna come through STRONG on tha track wit your attitude!! >>> LOL @ tha fade-in beginning. Oh NO!!! Tha CD took a BIG crash wit tha Auto-Tune hook!! No catch in tha hook and here’s tha 1st verse… Not likin’ dat every line ends wit an Auto-Tuned ad-lib. Okay 1st verse but I can’t handle dat hook; I’m not 12 years old!! It sounds a lil’ betta wit tha hood lyrics in tha 2nd verse at least… Yea, what’s up wit tha 1st ½ of tha hook (before tha repeatin’ title)? Sounds like an eight year old. I like your “like a DJ, I let dat ‘K slay’” part, referrin’ ta DJ Kayslay! My Rating: 3.2


07. “Where Ya Work?”
This looks REAL GOOD on tha title but I just hope there’s no Auto-Tune this time!! >>> Sounds like a Gucci Mane type beat for tha beginning. I think I hear a Prince Blakk (I think) type of sound in tha beginning too… Glad you dropped tha Auto-Tune fa this one! Tha hook iz DEFINITELY nice wit tha beat too!! You did ya thang on tha 1st verse and I’m REAL GLAD this iz on tha drug tip for tha song style!! Tha 2nd verse goes hard too; gotta luv tha “I was blowin’ purp in a hurricane” part! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and for a second, I thought you were a Hammond representa; you say you a BR representa. Reppin’ 225 iz DEFINITELY watz good!! My Rating: 4.5


08. “I Kno I’m Fly”
Wit its short length of 2:51, I have a feelin’ this’ll be a jacked beat song; let’s see… >>> Yes, how fuckin’ gay!! Terrible “This Is Why I’m Hot” beat! Hope there’s no otha 2007ish songs in this mixtape wit tha beats! Tha 1st verse was aight and tha hook iz good although you could’ve picked a betta beat! Tha 2nd verse was just aight once again; can’t really get too much inta this one ‘cause of tha beat. My bad if I keep repeatin’ myself; I don’t know what ta say… My Rating: 3.4


09. “You’ve Got It Made (Flow)”
If it’s a flow, I’m assumin’ it’s anotha jacked beat. Plus, tha length iz only 1:49… >>> From one horrible one to tha next; DON’T wanna hear ’07 shit AND I DEFINITELY didn’t wanna hear “Can’t Tell Me Nothin’”!! Once again, tha lyrics are good but this beat has ta go! Wow, you made it WORSE wit tha Auto-Tune in tha hook; you could’ve calmed down from usin’ it fa ONLY 30 seconds… My Rating: 2.6


½time: Tha beginning was DEFINITELY watz good ‘til tha last two songs (and that one Auto-Tune song that sounded like a kid). You DEFINITELY sound good on original beats and just like One-i’s boy Pigg, stick to original beats ‘cause you got tha rhymes! Regardless of tha last two songs crashin’ tha ratings, tha average CD rating iz currently an acceptable 4.0!


10. “I Kno What 2 Do”
Oh no, it’s 5:17 on tha length! Betta NOT be borin’!! >>> Not really inta tha beginning… Oh no, really slow tempo. Tha 1st verse sounds like it’s more on tha mainstream level… Not exactly crazy about this… LOL @ you sayin’, “if you don’t like it, suck on my big balls.” I’ll pass… This iz gonna be a sleepy ride for tha next four minutes… Tha 2nd verse kinda on tha boring side; sorry. Tha 3rd verse caught my attention when you said, “…keep tokin’;” shout out ta my boy Toke in G-Lane!! You do sound catchy when you say, “Make me wanna have fo, five, six kids,” so I’ll give dat a plus. My Rating: 2.9


11. “I Swear It’s The Truth”
Put tha apostrophe when you use “it’s” as “it iz!” Anyway, anotha long length song so hopefully, my interest level goes up… >>> Ahh, not really. Not too crazy that it’s on tha T.I. “No Matter What” beat. Tha 1st verse was acceptable. Tha hook sounds pretty good; not bad. Tha 2nd verse sounded like it’s more for those that ain’t on that mainstream shit. Tha 3rd verse sounded like you were rappin’ for fun. I don’t know what else ta say about this one… My Rating: 3.3


12. “It Goes Down”
You’re killin’ me wit these long-ass lengths… >>> Finally, a MUCH betta beat start/normal unknown beat!! I’m sure I gon like this one; I pay attention to you more now that you got an original beat (I think—more unknown unlike dat mainstream shit) here! I like all your “fresh” parts includin’ tha “girbauds,” my boy. Once again, anotha failed attempt at tryna get tha 4.0 rating; WTF @ tha hook? Why does it have ta have tha A-Tune (don’t feel like typin’ dat gay-ass word) on it?!? It would’ve been betta WITHOUT it!! Tha 2nd verse still sounded pretty good though; keep up tha good rhymes! I like how tha 3rd verse sounds; gotta feel where you’re comin’ from wit this Rap shit! I actually feel tha hook more wit what it’s sayin’, so I’ll actually increase my rating! My Rating: 4.1


13. “Mean With Tha Re-Up”
This iz a catchy title and a good length too; how will you do on it? >>> LOL @ tha beat choice; much betta than tha Pop Rap shit! You chose tha Jody Breeze/Slim Thug “Stackin’ Paper” beat and you even sound like Breeze on this. It looks like these lyrics are gonna be REAL good fa me wit all tha drug types here! DEFINITELY a REAL GR8 1st verse here wit everything goin’ on wit all your lyrics!! Tha hook iz DEFINITELY top notch, ya dig!! All tha lyrics in tha 2nd verse are REAL, REAL GR8!!! They just DON’T STOP; you a FOOL wit it!! Tha 3rd verse was pretty good too… My Rating: 4.6


14. “Put Some Money On It” Feat. Dyl
YES!! A FEATURE!! Plus, it’s Dyl, so this gon be a DEFINITE plus REGARDLESS of what it sounds like!!! >>> LOL @ tha beat start; I automatically assume it’s an original production ‘cause of tha feature! Tha beat start iz DEFINITELY watz good although it sounds a lil’ weird wit tha snappin’ (reminds me of Snap music or whateva). Tha beginning wit you sounds REAL GOOD wit tha “smoke/pop” shit! No wonder why your name iz “Zippa;” you a FOOL wit tha “zip bags” and how ta get ‘em! Tha 1st verse sounded gr8 and tha hook iz DEFINITELY a TOP NOTCH style wit tha drug style!! Tha 2nd verse sounds good wit what you’re spittin’. LOL @ tha “fuck ya in ya whole fuckin’ ass ‘cause you so gay” part; I see where you’re goin’ wit dat one (for tha fakes)! Let’s see how dat boy Dyl comes through on tha 3rd verse… Yea, he sounds REAL gr8 fa this shit right now!! He nearly sounds like Young Gregory on this song right here! “Back up on his griggity;” gotta luv how he said “grind!” My Rating: 4.7


15. “Certified Track Killa (Flow)”
Okay, this iz tha song missin’ in tha folder (DatPiff took it out). Let’s see tha title… *Checks* It’s anotha flow (like tha “Can’t Tell Me Nothin’” one). Let’s see why DatPiff took it out… *Clicks link* It came up Lil’ Wayne, but no title. Let’s see what I can judge off of 30 seconds… >>> Must be a mixtape track; why was this removed? You sound good on this beat here… WTF? There’s no vocal sample; why’d they take it out? It was good fa what it was; nice verse. My Rating: 3.8


16. “Fall Back”
Let’s keep it goin’! >>> Good beat start and it sounds like you spittin’ some good shit in tha 1st verse. Tha hook sounds good too; DEFINITELY a nice beat choice! Gr8 lyrics and rhymes throughout tha 2nd verse; you spittin’ some good shit! Tha 3rd verse sounds like you spittin’ some hood shit as you keep this shit up! You held this joint down to tha fullest! My Rating: 4.2


17. “Real Slow”
It looks like it gon be “real slow” wit its 4:51 length… What will this exactly sound like? >>> Sounds like anotha good beat choice; hope you sound good on it! It sounds a lil’ familiar, but then again, I just heard Vybe’s beat tag so he produced it!! You sound REAL GOOD in tha beginning wit tha hook!! DEFINITELY a nice ridin’ song here!! Tha 1st verse goes hard; you on ya grind wit this shit! You still doin’ tha damn thang on tha 2nd verse wit this REAL tight beat!! Even tha 3rd verse havin’ “tha undaground buzzin’” (as you said) ‘cause of how hot it iz!! My Rating: 4.5


18. “For Tha People”
I enjoyed reviewin’ this CD of yours! Let’s end it wit a BIG one!! >>> Not too big soundin’ for tha beginning of this song; sounds weird. An aight 1st verse although your flow was real good. Tha hook iz pretty good; tha sound of tha beat iz startin’ ta sound catchy! LOL @ your “cursin’” gettin’ you in trouble from workin’ in tha 2nd verse; gotta have control, lol! Either way, it was an interestin’ verse. Tha 3rd verse sounds good too; you got consistent rhymes! My Rating: 4.0


Overall: This was a good CD. You actually got a pretty good average CD rating, regardless of all tha jacked beat songs that sounded weird. A bunch of songs were bangin’ and I’m glad you REALLY keep it street wit all tha shit you be spittin’! Keep up tha gr8 work, my boy! Oh yea, LOL @ your “Louisianamosity” thing on tha back cover; that’s DEFINITELY watz good!
