FrankieThaLuckyDog here once again, bringin’ you ANOTHA review, ya heard me! This time, it’s not One-i, but it’s his boy Jayroc, lettin’ y’all know that he’s on M.U.T.E. when it comes to tha haterz, ya dig! Without further or do, here goes my review for Jayroc M.U.T.E.! Start Time: 10:20 AM | End Time: 11:08 AM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0. Each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself with my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

Tha start to this CD… Let’s see what you got, my boy! >>> Interestin’ intro and title of this mixtape! My Rating: N/A


02. “Crack Baby”
This CD ain’t downloadable on DatPiff so I’m listenin’ via tha DatPiff player while I review. This should be a TIGHT joint; let’s see!! >>> No intro needed, lol. Tha beat iz DEFINITELY strong here; gotta LUV tha dark beats!! Tha lyrics are pretty good too; you rappin’ hood style here! Definitely in tha mood ta hear err-thang you gon rap about! Tha flow iz definitely cool too, ya dig! Tha hook iz here now and it sounds pretty good; you makin’ some pretty good jointz right here, my boy! Keepin’ it gangsta on tha 2nd verse here for tha hood; glad you keepin’ tha gangstas’ plates full!! You KNOW it sounds REAL good when you rappin’ when tha beat goes quiet! My Rating: 4.4


03. “Smash Up”
Ooh, I know this one! Been reviewin’ buku One-i CDs and some of his compilation CDs; this was feature on two of ‘em: Respect My Conglomerate and Supa Charged. Now, it’s on here! Once again, for tha song, it sounds like a STRONG start!!! Tha beat iz DEFINITELY watz good and it sounds like you goin’ off on this shit right here!! DEFINITELY feelin’ tha flow also on this shit; you doin’ tha damn thang!! You even jiggalatin’ in tha hook as you’re “fulla dem jiggz;” gr8 shit here!!! You even did a nice job “smashin’ up” tha 2nd verse as it went hard!! My Current Rating: 4.5


04. “Smoke With Me”
This looks familiar, but I don’t think I know it. Lemme see how good it soundz… >>> Very slow intro that gets me interested! Yea, you came in on tha 1st verse all mellow. DEFINITELY likin’ tha mellow style here; perfect for a smoke song! Nice job on tha 1st verse wit what you spit. Tha hook iz EXTREMELY good wit tha way it sounds; gotta luv this style!! Tha 2nd verse sounds like you feel good wit what you’re doin’. I like how you said, “bruh,” 2x in tha verse as well as all tha weed lyrics, doin’ ya thang! LOL, you’re “a match;” that’s watz good! My Rating: 4.8


05. “Set The Record Straight”
You gon do that on this song right here! Let’s see how you do vs. tha otha songs! >>> Ooh, a much stronger start here wit tha beat! It’s on a tight level this time and you doin’ tha damn thang wit tha beginning!! Here’s tha 1st verse comin’ up quickly and you’re lyrics and rhymes are just REALLY, REALLY quick/gr8!!! Back ‘n’ forth, I hear more and more shit from you!! Tha hook went RAW wit tha whole “eat a dick” and all that tough shit you said in tha hook! Great shit as you’re nothin’ ta be playin’ wit!! DEFINITELY feelin’ tha rhymes; they’re EVERYWHERE!!! My Rating: 4.3


06. Skit
What do you got ta say in tha middle here? >>> LOL @ only six seconds… But yea, DEFINITELY enjoyin’ it so far!! Keep it up, my boy!! I like how you ended it wit, “Let’s continue our journey!” My Rating: N/A


07. “Ms. Insecure”
I feel like some of my boyz goin’ through tha whole “Ms. Insecure” sufferin’ right now. It makes me not wanna get a girlfriend at times ‘cause I would feel that she would steal and demand all my time. I’m here ta support, not ta be used! Let’s see how you feel about it, Jay! >>> Anotha mellow start here. I think tha mellowness fits this song. One-i mastered this (since you said, “Turn tha track up, One-i”)? That’s watz good. You’re perfectly expressin’ a bad gurl here on tha 1st verse. Even though she’s bad, you’re “still fuckin’ her,” lol. Good job wit tha 1st verse and tha hook fit gr8 wit how you sounded on it. I can feel this unlike a lot of times when songs like these come up on buku peoples’ CDs. I think it’s how you sound and tha shit you rap about that gets me interested. Your music sounds like typical white people can hear it anywhere in their undaground CD collections. Nice job deliverin’ tha 2nd verse too! Tha 3rd verse iz good also… I like your “she’s a quicker-picker-upper like Bounty” line. My Rating: 3.9


08. “If You Can’t Hang”
Looks like a follow-up title to tha last song; let’s see… >>> Anotha slow start here. Now, I wanna know what’s goin’ on here… Okay, nearly tha same flow type here on this song too. Sounds like you’re spittin’ sum good shit here. Nice job wit tha 1st verse and tha hook iz cool wit your singin’; interestin’ song once again! Tha 2nd verse was good wit what’s goin’ on in your life and tha Rap game. And for tha 3rd verse, you’re keepin’ it on tha same level as tha 2nd verse; good shit. Nice job wit anotha gr8 mellow song! Oh, and why all tha silence at tha end of each song (6-7 seconds)? My Rating: 3.8


½time: You doin’ ya thang on this CD, my boy! I like your vibe and versatile sounds here, switchin’ back ‘n’ forth wit this Louisiana Rap shit! Keep up tha gr8 work as tha average CD rating iz a NICE 4.3!!


09. “I Said That”
Okay then, lol!! >>> Sounded like a One-i tag or a DJ tag in tha beginning or somethin’… Pretty good beat here and it sounds like you got some rhymes fa this short song too (since it’s about 100 seconds long)! Interestin’ statistics about “MC’s” and all dat; you got it on lock! Tha hook sounds like it’s goin’ hard; you DEFINITELY ain’t bullshittin’ here, ya dig!! WTF? What’s wit tha (like) 20 second silence at tha end? My Rating: 4.2


10. “Stuck” Feat. J. Cy
It’s J. Cy? I was confused on one of One-i’s mixtapes ‘cause DatPiff listed it as J. Cry? I don’t know, but I’m sure you’re right. Let’s see how bad you’re “stuck” in what I’m about ta hear… >>> Once again, startin’ off wit anotha mellow-type intro. A lil’ different this time; let’s see what you got… A lil’ weird on tha vocal quality; sounds like it was recorded at a different studio? An okay 1st verse, but tha Auto-Tune on tha hook made it a lil’ more weird. It sounds like Weezy singin’ or somethin’… Finally, here you are at 1:32! Now, you’re inta tryna find anotha gurl here on your verse. Interestin’ about a “drug text;” you got interestin’ lyrics. You did ya thang on tha verse; keep it up! My Rating: 3.3


11. “Live It Up”
Looks like you gon do ya thang on this one; let’s see… >>> Feelin’ tha beat intro; I like dat sound! Ooh, faster BPM’s kicked in! Tha production reminds me of some old shit from tha Early 2000’s that I would like! Interestin’ lyrics from smokin’ ta jiggin’ ta rappin’! Ooh, tha hook iz DEFINITELY on a REAL HOT tip here!!! DEFINITELY feelin’ tha smoke/pill shit in tha hook; you DEFINITELY got it on lock here!! Tha 2nd verse was cool too; REALLY holdin’ this track down!! My Rating: 4.6


12. “Taking You Home” Feat. A.T.
Although I predict a mellow song again, I have a feelin’ this’ll be more for tha clubs. Let’s see if I’m right… >>> Okay, definitely faster than tha type mellow shit on here. Cool beat and tha hook sounds pretty cool. It has a nice mainstream feel to it; too bad nobody recognizes some of these songs… Tha 1st verse sounded good; you did ya thang deliverin’ it! Tha 2nd verse has a betta flow here; likin’ this shit! My Rating: 4.2


13. “Get’em Jay”
Tha title says it all!! >>> Pretty good, typical Hip-Hop beat here. It’s that same producer wit tha tag repeatin’ throughout tha song (from “I Said That”). You deliverin’ some good rhymes here fa who you are; nice 1st verse! Tha hook iz like you ‘bout ta come out tha cage and go attack wit tha title, ya dig! Good shit right here and “Jay, get’em” on tha 2nd verse, lol! Nice job on tha 2nd verse too; you real wit this Rap shit right here, bruh! Even tha 3rd verse has you doin’ some good explainin’ of thangz goin’ on wit you. This joint was a nice flowin’ joint right here, ya dig! My Rating: 4.1


14. “Far Away”
Looks like a slow title. What will this sound like? >>> Yup, this one iz slow although tha intro sounds interestin’. I hear tha hook and it sounds like a sample. Pretty good soundin’ here fa me usually hatin’ on shit like this. Usually, these types of songs sound shitty but you got tha RIGHT production ta make it sound betta!! Sounds like a fight goin’ on wit tha lyrics on tha 1st verse… Are you mentionin’ One-i (as you’re sayin’, “Josh ___ …”)? Interestin’ song here; keep it goin’!! I hear you complainin’ about tha cursin’ or somethin’ in tha 2nd verse so this has ta be about your gurl from tha “Ms. Insecure” song; I can tell. I think I know why you’re talkin’ about One-i in this: That gurl you’re talkin’ about must be tryna get a hold of him ta get ta you; I see. Good endin’ wit tha hook too! My Rating: 3.9


15. “Keep It Live”
That’s EXACTLY what you do; keep doin’ it!! >>> Not even two minutes long and tha producer from “I Said That” iz back again, lol! Tha beat intro iz pretty catchy here and you’re rappin’ pretty fast here! Definitely likin’ how tha beat keeps gettin’ better throughout tha song and you just keep deliverin’ dat street shit! I like how you spelled “icebox” (“I-C-E-B-O-X”) durin’ tha end of tha verse. Yea, you DEFINITELY “spit dat fiya!” My Rating: 4.2


16. “You”
Tha last actual song on here. Let’s see how “you” put it down!! >>> Back to tha REAL mellow sounds of Jayroc here… Sounds like a Country intro but what’ll happen when Hip-Hop elements contribute? Okay, I’m glad ta hear tha Hip-Hop elements now. Anotha song dedicated to a gurl here; iz it tha same one? If so, you must REALLY try ta luv her. Sounds like Alanis Morissette and someone on tha hook/sample? I think it sounds good; nice mellow shit here! Tha 2nd verse flowed good like tha 1st verse; good job! My Rating: 3.8

Overall: You DEFINITELY put together a REAL nice CD here!! I was feelin’ your versatile side and all tha shit you had on this CD!! This iz nice!! People should go cop this. Knowin’ me, I’m on a mission ta collect EVERY SINGLE Louisiana CD there iz, NO MATTER WHAT THA PRICE IZ!!! Keep up tha gr8 work, my boy!!
