As
I climb up tha review ladder, I’m on my 1,985th review! This one iz
for Houma’s Da Fada Anybody
Cou’ Die, released in 2000 on Bottom Up Records! Start Tyme: 7:44 PM | End Tyme:
8:51 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before
“ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after
I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.
If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your
vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics),
I’m not buyin’ it!

An okay, quiet-soundin’ intro, here… My

“Desperado” feat. Low-Down
Producer:
Greg Dukes
Luv
seein’ my big homie, Greg Dukes, on tha production!! >>> Hearin’ tha
production & it sounds quiet but I luv hearin’ tha sounds ‘cause it sounds
like that quiet, undaground shit. Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you,
Fada & it sounds cool fa a slow flow; also, nice hi-hat pattern, Dukes!
Doesn’t sound like your typical, fast-soundin’ set of hi-hats… Good rhymes fa
tha streetz but I feel like it’s such a long-ass verse! Like, with 4:59 on tha
length, I have no idea when it’s gonna shift to Low-Down…! Like, I’ono, but I
felt like this was just one big-ass verse; coulda been betta with a
hook/transition, at least… Oh wait, at 3:29, finally, a hook! Well, was it? Just a quick title part & just
jumped into an outro fulla whinin’ in tha background… My Rating: 3.1
03.
“Anybody Cou’ Die” feat. B-Legit
Producer:
StudioTone
>>>
Feelin’ this eerie beat; definitely nice with how y’all comin’ through on tha
hook. A random female chick singin’ a lil’ part? Interestin’ for such a short
part… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you & it sounds good with your
rhymes; your flow ain’t bad but your rhymes are betta, basically… Keepin’ this
movin’ with you on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit mo shit;
kinda reminds me of some West Coast-type shit, with how you flow & collab’d
with B-Legit… Hearin’ B on tha 3rd verse & yeah, his West Coast
flava adds a nice lil’ blend to your street content; nice job… My Rating: 3.7
04.
“Forever Yours” feat. Low-Down
Producer: Nathan “Happy” Perez
Producer: Nathan “Happy” Perez
>>>
A lil’ slow fa me to really appreciate, here… Hearin’ what you got goin’ on
with tha 1st verse & it’s nice with tha rhymes you bringin’…
Also, speakin’ of Low-Down on tha feature, his Tales From Da South release was my actual 1,000th
review! Now, I’m only 15 away from 2,000, almost a decade later!! Hearin’ tha
hook & it’s boring with how it sounds; sounds a lil’ cheesy & not
really for me… Keepin’ this movin’ with tha 2nd verse & tha
lyrics are good; I’m just not too crazy about this shit that sounds like an
audio life story… Keepin’ this movin’ with Low-Down on tha 3rd
verse, here, soundin’ consistent with tha rhymes. However, that dude vocalizin’
in tha background’s makin’ this sound too depressin’ fa me, at tymes. My Rating: 2.8
05.
“Revenge Or Death” feat. Low-Down
Producer:
Nathan “Happy” Perez
>>>
Catchy lil’ beat from Happy P, here; let’s see how it turns out in a song…
Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you & it sounds good with your
consistent rhymes; glad this ain’t depressin’… Tha “more top-notch […] than Mexico got
tacos” line was a dope lil’ part; interestin’ thinkin’ from tha south…! Damn,
this iz soundin’ too long of a verse; why iz it over 2:00 in, right nah?!
Finally, hearin’ tha hook as tha 3:00 mark’s about ta ‘proach & it’s a good
lil’ hook; glad it finally came, tho! Low-Down comin’ through fa you & he
does a nice job collaboratin’ with you. Sometymes, y’all two sound similar, so
sometymes, I think that everythang seems too long. My Rating: 3.3
06.
“Hoodlum” feat. Low-Down
Producer:
Nathan “Happy” Perez
>>>
Sounds like a dope lil’ beat & how this beat continuously puts you in an
undaground vibe, courtesy of that 985! Props fa what you’re wearin’, as well;
gotta have tha right equips for tha streetz! Hearin’ tha hook & it’s
soundin’ sappy with that singin’; just seems sad to be “caught up in tha
hood…,” after hearin’ tha singin’. Anyway, keepin’ this movin’ with tha 2nd
verse, here, comin’ through with mo shit fa tha streetz. Sometymes, your flow
on this one gives me that West Coast feel, again; wanted ta point that out. Keepin’
this movin’ with tha 3rd verse & I feel bored; just seems like
each joint’s too long. My Rating: 3.0
07.
“Bitch Nigga” feat. Mr. Price
Producer:
Nathan “Happy” Perez
>>>
Sounds like a good lil’ hook fa those that be tha opps; good lil’ hook &
not bad for tha beat, here… Hearin’ what you got on tha 1st verse
& you keepin’ it movin’ fa tha streetz, here; props fa definin’ what a B.N. iz, continuously. Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse & it’s you barely transitionin’ from tha hook to tha 2nd
verse; sounds like everythang goes too much together with each other… Now, I’m
hearin’ tha actual hook? Was that only one long-ass verse, then? I’m confused…
Comin’ up on (what I think iz) tha 3rd verse, it’s Mr. Price, comin’
through with a slightly-more aggressive flow. Too bad their lyrics don’t match
up to your street content but it’s still a decent/good addition, here. My Rating: 3.4
08.
“Livin’ In Mechanicville”
Producer:
Nathan “Happy” Perez
I’ono
about sittin’ here fa 5:53; how big will one verse be? >>> Sounds like
a good lil’ beat fa tha south, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse &
already, tha title came out; will it just be in tha beginning of tha 1st
verse? Let’s see how many barz iz in this 1st verse… Hearin’ tha
content you’re spittin’, here & it’s pretty rough in tha streetz of that
9-8-5… Okay, tha hook’s at 1:31; not bad! Sounds like a good hook with tha way
of tha “Mechanicville,” here; good shit…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse
& tha beat sounds like it’s gettin’ betta…! Well, it only lasted about four
barz but you still holdin’ this shit down…; keep goin’…! Hearin’ tha 3rd
verse, here & it ain’t too bad; too bad I’m slightly over halfway done with
this track… Hearin’ tha rest of this & it’s so much of tha hook, mixed with
an outro; a lil’ too long in all wayz… My
Rating: 3.8
½tyme: Hate ta say that this
release only iz slightly below average fa me, currently. There’s too many barz
in verses, at tymes, as well as how long some of tha tracks are… I’m real glad
I got ta hear Greg Dukes appear, as well as your street shit. It’s just, work
on makin’ less of a filler, when it comes to tha tracks… Tha average rating iz
only at a 3.3,
currently; let’s see what’s next…
09.
“Always Be A Ghetto”
Producer:
Nathan “Happy” Perez
>>>
Sounds like it gon be a slow jam but it’s only 3:52, so luckily, it ain’t so
long… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds like a good lil’ track fa tha undaground
streetz; I’ll give you some props. Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it
ain’t bad with what you spittin’, here; just a bunch of regularly-rapped shit
about tha hood… Keepin’ this movin’ with tha 2nd verse, here,
spittin’ good lyrics but a boring flow fa me… My Rating: 3.2
10.
“Rules Are Meant To Be Followed” feat. C-Loc
Producer:
Nathan “Happy” Perez
>>>
Nice intro from Loc, here…; beat’s also nice & quiet but still nice.
Hearin’ what you got goin’ on fa tha 1st verse & it’s cool; I’m
diggin’ this flow & vibe, this tyme… Hearin’ tha hook & I ain’t even
realize it was a hook; still, it sounded nice ta hear with this content about
tha “rules.” Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, now & it’s BiggDawg, comin’
through with good street knowledge; dope flow & helpin’ out Mr. Fada, Loc…!
Was there a transition (e.g., hook) b4 you on tha 3rd verse? See,
this fucked-up transitionin’ iz really fuckin’ up this release fa me! My Rating: 3.9
11.
“The Game Ain’t For Everybody”
Producer:
Nathan “Happy” Perez
>>>
Beat sounds good fa tha south but mainly, fa you ta rap your good street
content on… Hearin’ tha 1st verse with what you’re bringin’ & it
ain’t bad; I’m still not fuckin’ with tha regularly-delivered flow, tho.
Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good with how you lay it down about “tha game”
and it not bein’ “for everybody”; not bad/good job… Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse & you comin’ through with that focused shit; I’ll give you some
props… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse with what you got, here & again,
it’s startin’ ta sound kinda long. Rhymes are continuously dope but how many do
you gotta have in just one song? That hurts tha track’s catchiness level… My Rating: 3.5
12.
“Candy Man” feat. Toad & V2M
Producer:
Nathan “Happy” Perez
>>>
Beat cool, here; tha hook sounds like somethin’ different, with this energy…
Hearin’ how dude comin’ through fa you with a boosted amount of energy’s nice;
we’ll see how much I can feel-feel it, in tha end… Hearin’ tha 1st
verse & it sounds okay; gotta get used to feelin’-feelin’ this… Keepin’
this goin’ with tha energy on tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’
good; this joint may have tha most energy but it’s not tha catchiest for me. I
know it sounds like I’m contradictin’ myself, at tymes, but that’s what’s
happenin’ with me while I hear this… My
Rating: 3.6
13.
“Fuck The Fada”
Producer: Nathan “Happy” Perez
Producer: Nathan “Happy” Perez
>>>
Okay, this energy’s much betta, so far! Only problem iz it’s 5:59! Hearin’ tha
1st verse & it sounds dope with how you’re more energized with a
dark/intense-soundin’ beat, here…! Hearin’ tha hook & I always thought you
was pronounced “fah-da” but it’s “fade-ah”; glad ta hear you say your stage
name—½ of it…! Hearin’ what you got goin’ on with tha 2nd verse
& it sounds aggressive, once again; gotta keep goin’! Hearin’ more comin’
with tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ great & I’m still hangin’ in
there…! Okay, we got a long outro on tha end, here; sounds good, no matter how
long… My Rating: 3.8
14.
“Thug Prayas”
Producer:
Nathan “Happy” Perez
>>>
Sounds like a nice lil’ beat & what’s goin’ on with tha 1st
verse, here… Luckily, this only 3:09, so I don’t have to be bored, easily.
Keepin’ this goin’ with tha 2nd verse & tha dark tymes of tha
streetz continue; pretty intense, through tha content…! My Rating: 3.9
15.
“If You Don’t Know, You Gon Know!” feat. Mr. Price
Producer:
Greg Dukes
Dukes!!
>>> Oh fuck, it’s this track! I remember this from, like, my radio
show or somethin’! What a beast Dukes
was on this beat!!! Hearin’ what’s goin’ on with tha 1st verse &
it’s real with tha different of what “you” do
& “don’t know”; excellent! Luv how eerie & dark Greg Dukes comes
through wit it on tha beat, throughout tha 1st verse!! Hearin’ tha
hook & it sounds catchy; I feel what’s goin’ on & how you make it sound
catchy! Finally, after almost tha whole album, we finally have a 4.0-rated track!! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse,
as I continue, with Mr. Price, here & he sounds good/aight… Just like how
you were, earlier, Price kinda sounds like tha spoken-word flow that was
throwin’ me off, earlier in this review. Anyway, keepin’ this movin’ with tha 3rd
verse & it sounds dope with how you continuously deliver that hot shit! Oh
boy, when tha hi-hats disappear from 2:53 – 2:58, oooooooooooOOOOOOOh!! Greg Dukes got a trophy fa
dis one!! Luv how I get ta hear tha amazin’ Dukes on tha beat, as tha beat just
rides tha fuck out!! My Rating: 4.8
16.
Outro
>>> Sounds like a sad, sappy beat ta end thangz off… I’m glad I at least got one 4.0er outta you, tho; couldn’t’ve been happier with what I picked! My Rating: N/A

Overall: Well, I wasn’t too
impressed with tha flows but tha content for tha streetz was nice ta hear,
here. Lots of tha beats sounded like they were either dark but not catchy
enough or they were southern but a lil’ too plain. Either way, this how my
reviewz go; it’s odd that there were no 4.0-rated tracks till tha end & it
was closer to a ***PERFECT RATING***!
