Up a lil’ on tha late side for a review but I promised my boy Lil’ Rocket I’d have this done ASAP… Here goes my review for Q-Black “The Takeova (Black Reign Mixtape)”! Start Time: 12:52 AM | End Time: 1:54 AM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Out My Rabbit”
ROFL @ this title!! I think it gon be nuts… Lemme hear it!! >>> LOL, I thought you would be tha producer of tha songs but maybe…, maybe not? Startin’ off wit this beat from Foxx, “Not Myself.” Prolly would’ve had a crazier beat; good long start though from you! A lotta “drank” shit goin’ on here for tha 1st verse… Whether or not I’m in tha mood (‘cause I don’t usually review this late), this still on tha hot side. Tha hook’s pretty crazy wit this title! Tha 2nd verse’s on tha same tip as tha 1st verse, only more “hoes” shit… Tha 3rd verse sounds like you got a lotta people you fuck wit. I wonder how you made dat happen? My Rating: 4.7


02. “Wat It Do”
>>> ROFL, a beat from Mod Productions dat I now am hearin’ for tha 3rd time! Not really a good thing for me but let’s see what you offer… Of course, you may sound real good wit your flow and err-thang but tha 1st version of this song I heard iz what I know tha most. Tha 1st verse’s pretty good… Unfortunately, tha previous two versions I heard from V.I.P. Da Outlaw and then A-Mar & Dyl were betta. A-Mar & Dyl got lucky ‘cause they had Ready on their version, I think… Not bad wit tha 2nd verse on this shit… My Rating: 4.1


03. “House Of Slauter”
I really like tha title so let’s see what’s good wit dis! >>> Oh, no… this beat’s familiar and I think it might be on a mainstream tip? Weird dat tha length’s 1:30, lol… How ‘bout some of your beats? Tha hook’s good and tha 1st verse sounds like you’re focused. Because I can’t even picture where this originated from, I’ll give you a good rating. My Rating: 4.3


04. “Let’s Do Something” Feat. Slauter House
“Let’s” see what dis iz about… >>> Thought it was gon be a Q-Red beat ‘cause I heard tha “Q” in tha beginning (your name). Anyway, this beat’s new for me so this iz a plus! I definitely like tha BR sound in it for tha undaground and tha hook pays off too!! Tha 1st verse’s keepin’ it hot for tha streetz; feelin’ it, especially tha ending content! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty good… Sounds like a featured artist? I hear anotha one on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse… I’ll put “Slauter House” as tha feature… That’s how you spell “slaughter?” I guess if you say so for a creative style (hopefully not a bad misspelling)… Tha 3rd verse keeps it goin’ here too; hot song! My Rating: 4.5


05. “In The Building” Feat. Slauter House
>>> So far, a GR8 start wit tha beat and I didn’t get a chance ta check tha title! New beat for me once again!! *Checks title* Tha title’s GR8 so you KNOW dis iz some HOT shit for tha undaground, tha ’10 and soon-ta-be my radio show when I go back ta PA!! Tha 2nd verse sounds good; heard a shoutout ta Lil’ Rocket? Iz dat him on tha 2nd verse? Gonna once again put “Feat. Slauter House” for tha feature. Tha 3rd verse almost sounds like a lady but I think it’s a younger dude… Really jammin’ wit dis beat here!! REALLY supportin’ tha undaground wit dis sound!! Glad there’s a 4th verse here too! Sounds gr8 ta hear!! My Rating: 4.6


06. “U Ain’t Fucking With Dat House” Feat. Slauter House
Feelin’ dis title so you KNOW this gon melt tha roof down!! >>> Oh, no, WTHell iz this beat? Heard it not too long ago but I can’t figure out where… Damn, whoeva was on this 1st must’ve used a lotta similar shit as you. Tha hook and shit almost has a similar sound to it too… I dunno but it’s pretty good wit tha soundin’ fa 5:58 on tha length! Nice job holdin’ down dis anthem fa tha 1st verse! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty tight (I think it’s Rocket) wit holdin’ down dis shit to tha fullest! Now dat I hear dis long bridge, I almost feel like I heard this actual song somewhere in tha past. I dunno why… I guess all tha shit wit tha title and tha “bow”s… Tha 3rd verse’s good too; very energetic wit whateva this iz! My Rating: 4.7


07. “Gangsta Shit”
Anything could be next for me… >>> Somewhat familiar beginning but sounds new wit tha hook. Ooh, pretty gutta wit a Mystikal attitude! DEFINITELY hot for 1:49 on tha length!! Tha only verse sounds pretty good; DEFINITELY some A-shit from you!! I like how tha 2nd hook’s screwed! My Rating: 4.8


08. “U Got A Man” Feat. Slauter House
Ahh @ tha 5:53 length; why iz this so long? Betta be good! >>> Tha beat iz and it sounds kinda typical wit tha content… Why iz there random reversed words? You a REAL BEAST wit how you be deliverin’ these rhymes though; too crazy wit tha deliveries!! No comment wit tha 2nd verse; sounds like you’re really tryna break “virgin”ities… Even though it’s still tha same content and rhymes, for some reason, I’m feelin’ tha 3rd verse wit who hopped onto it… I guess tha different voice helps; good “purp” shit! There’s a 2nd ½ here to tha 3rd verse and it almost sounds like my boy Lil’ Boxx. Not bad but all of a sudden, tha beat turned into a more New Orleans-type beat, which sounds good. This must be tha 4th verse wit no transition needed… Got gangsta outta nowhere… I’m feelin’ dis hook betta; sounds much betta on tha catchy tip! Tha 5th verse’s good; I like all these verses and shit! Y’all really holdin’ down tha House down to tha fullest!! My Rating: 3.9


09. “Up In Da Southside”
I like dis title but only 1:21? >>> And, you’re “on tha track” here? Why such a short length? Are we just gettin’ a sample? What happened @ :26? Sounded like there was a space or somethin’ wit a copy/paste? Again, anotha censored word? Interestin’ rappin’… My Rating: 4.0


½time: It’s DEFINITELY jammin’ here so far!! A NICE 4.4 iz tha average CD rating at tha moment!! Keep doin’ ya thang!!


10. “Down-Ass Chick”
Kinda not a title I’m anticipatin’ but tha length’s like ½ than usual… >>> Almost UGKish wit tha beat here but I think this iz familiar too… Just a plain hook here… Tha 1st verse ain’t dat bad… I don’t know what ta say. Tha 2nd verse had a lil’ bit of a good start but kinda sounded a lil’ typical overall. My Rating: 3.6


11. “Can I Be Yo Baby”
>>> Not exactly familiar so this sounds a lil’ new… Anotha hook dat’s just okay for me. It sounds good when you’re on it though… Tha 1st verse souonds like some of tha other songs on here about just really feelin’ tha sex and shit… Catchy hook though but I wouldn’t bend ova backwerdz for it… Tha 2nd verse sounds catchy wit tha flow throughout most of tha verse. No, no, no… a long-ass outro! My Rating: 3.8


12. “Bing Bing, Bam Bam (Remix)”
“Remix?” Maybe I did hear of you in tha past? I dunno ‘cause I don’t really know what this song iz. >>> Has a Bounce/upbeat feel in tha beat here… Tha hook sounds hot; betta shit here! You sound much betta on here than before; glad you’re back to your street shit! Tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse sounds like you sound like Young Ready on dis shit, which iz a plus fa me! Really, “it’s ’08?” Why somethin’ old? Now, tha ending verse here sounds like my boy Yung Yola… I thought I was expectin’ some long-ass outro again, lol! My Rating: 4.2


13. “I Play No Games” Feat. Slauter House
Let’s see what we got… >>> Acapella start; makes me a lil’ anticipated! “In the lab wit Hustle” dude on tha beat? I wonder who dat dude really iz (I know him from Real Profit’s lil’ “Out My Mind” joint)! This beat’s DEFINITELY hot here and you sound pretty gutta as hell on tha 1st verse!! Ooh, I’m feelin’ tha beat style in tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse here wit tha feature!! Good hook too wit how it blends in too… Tha 2nd verse’s 1st part sounds good; streetz at all times!! Tha 2nd part in tha 2nd verse’s good; likin’ tha flow right chea!! I think dat was my boy Lil’ Rocket too! Sounds like a lotta shit’s goin’ on (random poppin’/crinklin’ wit tha sounds)? Tha 3rd verse has two parts also and it’s good wit tha combo; gr8 team work here!! My Rating: 4.6


14. “Kimosabe” Feat. Slauter House
Wonder what dis iz… >>> Sounds like good, old Bounce music for a start. You must be in luv wit it ‘cause it’s 2:14 on tha length, lol! Okay, I know dis beat; goes back to tha Juvie/Hot Boy$ dayz in tha 90’s. Good 1st verse, deliverin’ good, consistent shit for err-body out there! Tha 2nd verse has Lil’ Rocket spittin’ good shit; nice lil’ combo wit a joint like dis! My Rating: 4.4


15. “Walk Him Out” Feat. Slauter House
I dunno what ta expect wit dis title… >>> Must be anotha hot one since it’s anotha Foxxish beat (“Adios”)! Sounds pretty gutta for tha start here too! Tha 1st verse sounds really on some street shit wit all tha reppin’ goin’ on here. Tha 2nd verse too sounds pretty consistent; gr8 team wit tha Slauter House!! My Rating: 4.3


16. “Gangsta, Gangsta”
Wit tha beats goin’ on here, iz this what I think it iz… >>> No, but sounds a lil’ Poppy wit a familiar sound… Tha hook doesn’t sound dat “gangsta, gangsta” though, lol. I think a lift in tha flow and a betta beat would work much betta! Tha 1st verse’s just decent; I don’t get what’s goin’ on durin’ tha end of it though… Tha 2nd verse has pretty good rhymes but I’m slowly gettin’ bored from dis as it’s now 1:47 AM… My Rating: 3.5


17. “Just The Way I Am”
>>> Only 1:33 wit a Birdman/Lil’ Wayne “You Ain’t Know” beat… Finally, an ’07 beat I don’t mind. Interestin’ perspective comin’ from you here on tha verse. Kinda short… My Rating: 3.6


18. “Not My Home”
Last song… >>> For a boring title, it sounds MUCH betta than I would’ve expected it to be!! Interestin’ hook and tha 1st verse sounds like somethin’ else I heard on here before? I don’t really be likin’ those borin’ “Like Foxx, ‘wipe me down’ and like Max, ‘I’m so on’” quotes though… Tha 2nd verse’s keepin’ it hot too… Good attitude from you! Tha 3rd verse has a betta attitude ta deliver dis shit! My Rating: 4.4


Overall: Hot shit from you and tha Slauter House!! I DEFINITELY felt dis shit and you got thangz on lock right chea for some undaground hot spots!! Keep up tha gr8 work all y’all!!
