Wakin’ up nice and early again ta do these reviewz, lol! Yesterday, I was ‘pose ta review this and tha next three CDs I finna review. But, my stupid Firefox wasn’t doin’ anything unless I moved tha mouse so tha downloads just froze and I didn’t have anymore downloads left on DatPiff yesterday. But, they’re here and here goes my 1st review for today: Monsta “Savage Since ’86 (Hosted by G-Nut)”. Start Time: 8:34 AM | End Time: 9:58 AM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

Lemme see how this gon start off… >>> Cool beat and it sounds like you’re startin’ off here… I don’t know tha year of this CD but I saw on tha DatPiff page dat this iz your debut CD? Tha 1st verse’s cool wit you spittin’ some good. LOL @ tha hook; it’s just random shit goin’ on. Good job wit tha 2nd verse and tha shit right afta tha verse ended! Iz this ’08 ‘cause you said, “22 years waitin’,” on tha 3rd verse? Nice job spittin’ dis shit! My Rating: 4.1


02. G-Nut Speaks
Shit, yea! Wanna hear what he got ta say. >>> He sounds cool; I like how he speakin’ on dis shit! It almost reminds me of some of dat 90’s shit wit tha skits! Hope he speaks again later on dis mixtape! My Rating: N/A


03. “Sweetest Hangover”
“Sweetie-est?” LOL, what an error… >>> Not too gay for a start here; thought it would be worse but it sounds good, “hangover” style, lol! Good rhymes here in tha 1st verse; doin’ ya thang on dis beat!! Very consistent here to tha fullest! I’m not even bored or anything! My Rating: 4.5


04. “ESPN”
Oh no, sports, lol… >>> Tha beat start this time sounds unanticipatin’… Boring beat but interestin’ rappin’ here… Should’ve been a lil’ shorter… My Rating: 3.7


05. “Savage Since ‘86” Feat. Hammer
>>> Ooh, Chopped & Screwed start!! I was hoping tha whole thing was C&S’d but this sounds good still on tha 1st verse! Tha 2nd verse sounds good too wit dis shit; holdin’ it down good! Hammer’s on tha 3rd verse and I like his “eatin’ a weddin’ cake” and “R.I.P. wit chicken plates” shit!! My Rating: 4.4


06. “Like 2 Kick It” Feat. Hott
Let’s see dis… >>> Good start. Gutta shit here in tha 1st verse! “Got dreads and golds;” dumb shit! Tha beat’s cool and so iz tha 2nd verse here, ya dig. What’s up wit tha homosexual-type background vocals in tha hook? Too bad for it ‘cause it made me decrease my rating… My Rating: 3.6


07. “Sunlight”
I dunno ‘bout dis… >>> Sounds like rain in tha beginning. Ugh, gay start… “White like stucko,” lol? A lil’ too long here… Tha rappin’s good but I can’t tolerate wit dis shit… My Rating: 2.1


08. G-Nut Speaks Again
Fuck, yea!!! >>> Holy shit, 3:47 on tha length?! Shit, yea!! G-Nut, what’s your MySpace? I couldn’t find you; get @ me! Glad it’s like a lil’ studio lil’ check-in wit y’all; good shit! Dat boy G-Nut so laidback, fulla dat shit here; I feel ya, big dawg!! My Rating: N/A


09. “3’s Up, 4’s Down” Feat. Lil’ Buck & Mutt
Lookin’ forward ta dis! You know I like when there’s a long ID on tha title and/or tha feature list! >>> Sounds like Gucci on tha hook, C&S’d; good shit here! Tha 1st verse sounds good; I like all this shit goin’ on, “aye!!!” Kids before tha hook? What were they doin’ on dis? Tha 2nd verse iz pretty gangsta here; gangsta shit! Lil’ Buck on dat street shit to tha fullest!! Mutt’s on tha 3rd verse and he sounds like Mystikal, even down to tha flow!! Good-ass shit here!! My Rating: 4.5


10. “Happy Dayz”
>>> Damn, 4:42 on tha length fa this kinda start? I hope it ain’t too disappointin’ fa me… I like how tha beat sounds like Early 2000’s/Late ‘90’s… Well, this ain’t bad at all; my anticipation was confusin’ in tha beginning. Tha 1st verse sounds pretty good wit tha rappin’. LOL, no sourced gurl singin’ on tha hook? This izn’t too bad either so this iz like a pass for me. Tha 2nd verse sounds like tha shit’s keepin’ up… More shit comin’ from tha 3rd verse too… My Rating: 3.8

11. “Rollin’ Like A Bike” Feat. D-So & Sam I Am
Whoa, ANTICIPATION HERE!!! >>> 5:00 FLAT on tha length too!! Tell me this hook gon have like a Hurricane Chris sample… Off to a slow start… No Hurricane sample but a REAL TIGHT beginning here!!! Even a shout out ta “Disco;” good shit! It’s all about dat Lane! A “Lil’ Yella” shout out too? Good shit! Definitely a tight 1st verse and tha hook sounds real catchy; REALLY can’t wait ta hear tha features!!! Dat big dawg D-So on tha 2nd verse and he sounds REAL GR8 here!!! Luvin’ this, as it’s DEFINITELY NOT disappointin’ me!! DEFINITELY a GR8 verse there; gotta get dis on my radio show hopefully soon!! Now, tha biggest dawg, Sam I Am, comin’ up on tha 3rd—LOL @ his “I’m rollin’” beginning!! DEFINITELY a good verse from Sam, just ALWAYS comin’ through wit a REAL GR8 perspective on tha tracks!!! My Rating: 4.9


12. “Mo Gangsta” Feat. Lt. 00
Ooh, for my gurl Robin: “00;” lol!!! How odd ta have “00” in yo name; REALLY lookin’ forward ta dis too!! >>> Damn, anotha 5:00ish length!! Tha start’s REAL, REAL GR8 too and it has a REAL GR8 hook!! “Gangsta”/hood shit here in tha 1st verse; “who gives a fuck what Simon says,” lol! Tha 2nd verse sounds like it’s pretty gutta; very good shit here!! Luvin’ all this consistency!! These are tha kinda songs I REALLY enjoy!! Tha Lt. 00 person doin’ his thang!! What long-ass verses to where there’s only two of them on this kinda length, lol. My Rating: 4.7

FUCK, YEA!!! >>> Tha beat made me think it was a song before I knew what tha title was, lol. Sounds more like you but it’s cool for an intermission… My Rating: N/A


14. “Party” Feat. Slugga, Benzo, Valley & Redd Nose
Da Gremlins Slugga? How GR8 could this be?!? >>> Ooh, I-G-T on tha track! LOL, good beat start here and this sounds pretty anticipatin’ fa bein’ a minute less than tha past two songs! Not 100% sure if this tha same Slugga but it’s cool; I think this one’s different… Nice job on tha 1st ½ of tha 1st verse and ooh, “smokin’ four blunts” on tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse! Good-ass shit from (I believe) Benzo!! Valley’s on tha 1st ½ of tha 2nd verse here and he sounds “retarded, already!” I think he held down tha whole verse? Not 100% sure but tha 3rd verse also sounded really good… LOL, cold ending? My Rating: 4.6


15. “Goon” Feat. Slim Pistol & Killa Sounz
LOL, Flippa Boyz action here on tha feature? Shit, yea!! Killa Sounz rappin’? This shit’s gettin’ more and more anticipatin’!! >>> LOL, different Sims tag in tha beginning? Too bad for only 2:53 but this should be REAL GR8… Tha 1st verse sounds good from you; tight shit! Tha hook’s gutta like a ma’fucka too!! Dat boy Slim Pistol’s on tha 2nd verse and it’s GR8 ta hear him afta “What Am I Gone Do Today?” (then again, this might be older?)!! LOL, Killa Soundz spittin’ some HOT shit also on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse!! My Rating: 4.7


16. “Lost It”
Anotha long length of 4:49 so let’s see here… >>> I wasn’t that anticipated but this sounds pretty anticipatin’ for tha start wit tha gutta beat and hook! Ooh, gettin’ betta @ :24! All three verses are REAL good here when it comes ta some undaground shit here!! You did ya thang on dis joint to tha fullest!! My Rating: 4.4


17. G-Nut Speaks Again… Again… Again
Of course, you KNOW this iz what’s up!! >>> Shit, yea!! “Surprise!!” 4:28 on tha length fa dis!! Tha beat’s pretty cool too! Oh, it’s tha same beat from tha last joint? Didn’t realize it was fa a second… Gotta luv dat boy G-Nut; a REAL, REAL GR8 speaker!!! I like tha random “bruh” @ 3:24 and all tha “ya heard me” and “dawg”s, feel me? Dumb shit! My Rating: N/A


18. “Greatest”
“Greati?” LOL @ tha spellin’ error again; it’s not an “ing,” lol. >>> Usually, I wouldn’t go fa this but I’m feelin’ tha singin’ in tha hook and this good beat! Tha 1st verse sounds pretty good. Tha lil’ talkin’ on tha 2nd hook sounds good… Hot shit comin’ from tha 2nd verse here; good shit, my boy! My Rating: 4.3


19. “‘Bout Dat”
Let’s see dis… >>> Cool beat start; how will it turn out? “Bow” and “how,” lol? Good job wit tha 1st verse and I luv how tha hook has a GR8 Baton Rouge feel to it!! Huh? A feature on tha 2nd verse? Who iz this gr8 rapper? I think there was anotha feature on tha 3rd verse too; not 100% sure… Either way, good shit! My Rating: 4.4


20. “Home”
Last song here… >>> Who’s “on tha track?” I thought I heard this once before…? Not that bad of a lyrical song for me. I usually don’t go for this kinda shit but it’s catchy for some reason wit this beat… You holdin’ down tha rest of this too… “64 bars like Nintendo 64;” that’s what I’m playin’ right now, lol (Banjo-Kazooie)! My Rating: 3.7


Overall: I thought this turned out to be really good! GR8 way ta wake up today! You DEFINITELY have some hot shit and I hope you keep doin’ ya thang!! Anotha rapper wit a GR8 connection in Baton Rouge!!
