Reviewed on 7.21.2010 (Review #565)
Hopefully, somethin’ good’ll come outta these reviewz… Tha next person I have ta review iz for my boy Young Trump Da Don and his “The Introduction Of Young Trump” lil’ EP wit five songs. I know this gon be betta than anything I reviewed today, lol! Lemme peep it out! Start Time: 7:58 PM | End Time: 8:19 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Check Out My Lingo”
Looks like a gr8 title so I hope tha song turns out dat way! >>> It sounded like a 2 Toxic beat tag in tha beginning… This izn’t tha type of shit I would anticipate but this iz a lil’ bit on tha catchy side; gotta like tha “lingo.” Don’t tell me dat’s you on tha 1st verse… I didn’t expect you to sound like this; too typical like an OJ or Gucci… LOL @ tha “I’m so bubbly like I opened up a Sprite” part; a lil’ funny… Tha 2nd verse sounds betta, luckily; I hope you’re really on tha 2nd verse! Then again, I don’t think you have “dreads” so I dunno… “Gardere” I heard; it’s DEFINITELY you on tha 2nd verse! Shit, no, dat weirdo’s on tha 3rd verse now… My Rating: 3.6
02. “My Bank”
Anotha “my” song already, lol… Let’s see what this one’s ‘bout… >>> Kinda scary for tha beat start (‘cause I’ve been hearin’ so many mainstream-type bullshit songs today) but it’s Q-Red so let’s see what this’ll turn into… Must be like Lil’ Issue’s “Whop” ‘cause there’s some of Q-Red’s “aww, yea” samples. Pretty energetic on tha hook, lol; sounds pretty good… This iz above tha last song’s verses a lil’ bit so it’s tolerable… Only two verses? Long beat outro and too much silence at tha end… My Rating: 3.8
½time: Sounds like borderline songs; not sure how good this gon continue to be. I expected more so it’s only a 3.7 average CD rating so far.
03. “Porno Star” Feat. Q-Red
>>> So far, tha best beat but tha hook has horrible vocals. Even Q-Red on tha feature here… When Q-Red raps tha 1st verse, it almost reminds me of Urban people bein’ five years older than their actual age. I don’t understand where everything comes from… No comment for tha 2nd verse; couldn’t’ve asked for a worse-soundin’ verse. I only liked tha “I’m ‘bout ta nut” part ‘cause it added explicit descriptiveness. Anotha appearance from Q-Red on tha end? Tha song actually ended wit tha word “erection,” lol? My Rating: 2.4
04. “Jamaica, Jamaica”
Iz there an “i” missin’ in tha title? SMFH @ “Jamaca?” >>> Once again, more heat from Q-Red on tha beat. This iz catchy. I heard a song from J.A. like three years ago and it was a “Jamaica” song and this iz just as good, Baton Rouge style! Tha 1st verse sounds cool; definitely likin’ this although I don’t wanna think of it soundin’ like Iyaz. I’m not sure of who your features are at times… Tha 2nd verse sounds focused! I wish I could actually feel (in person) tha endin’ to tha 2nd verse. I try hittin’ people up but nobody returns my calls, etc.; I don’t know how people actually connect wit people, smh. My Rating: 4.2
05. “Let Me Tip ‘Er”
What’s this? >>> I heard R. Kelly in tha beginning and now, Q-Red on tha beat once again. This iz back to tha gay soundin’ like #3… LOL @ tha fast feature (who’s singin’ tha hook) on tha 2nd verse! Very horrible bridge; who “makes it rain obsessively,” smh? My Rating: 1.2
Overall: More of a disappointment to tha day, smh. And all tha production (excluding #1) was from Q-Red? Some of tha beats were cool but tha vocals were REAL, REAL, REAL gay at times!! I hope I can get some newer music from you ‘cause I don’t think any of these songs’ll hit my radio show. Tha “Jamaica, Jamaica” might… I gotta re-hear tha “My Bank” too…
Rankings (according to my ratings):
05. “Let Me Tip ‘Er” 1.2
04. “Porno Star” Feat. Q-Red 2.4
03. “Check Out My Lingo” 3.6
02. “My Bank” 3.8
01. “Jamaica, Jamaica” 4.2
