Next up wit my reviewz, I got more from Young Pizz. From ’08, here’s my review for his “Still Fresh/Still Gutta (Hosted by DJ Trigga)” mixtape. Start Time: 12:09 PM | End Time: 1:02 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

LOL… >>> “Umma Do Me” beat. Sounds like this gon be hot for a start… I’m definitely likin’ tha hook; you sound funny when you say, “You just chew…,” lol. Tight shit on tha 1st verse! Huh? Someone’s on tha 2nd verse? Who iz it? Good shit! My Rating: 4.4


03. “N Dis Bitch”
You produced dis? >>> Sounds good; glad DJ Trigga’s on tha intro talkin’ too! Pretty good beat although I’m not big about snappin’ sounds… I’m likin’ what you spittin’ on tha 1st verse; doin’ it for tha “rollaz” and tha ones “smokin’ on tha purple doulja!” LOL, who’s tha person on tha 2nd verse this time? Why aren’t these people sourced? Good shit once again! My Rating: 4.3


04. “Freestyle 1”
What could it be? >>> I don’t think I know tha beat but it’s off to a good start… Oh, this “Now I Can Do That” beat, ROFL! Talk about how long ago… I rememba when MTV Jams and I were tha only ones dat knew dat beat. Then, it got mainstream in ’08, lol. Good shit, ya dig! About 49% in, it switched to tha “I’m A G” beat; yucky ’07 dayz… I’m feelin’ tha attitude on this verse; good shit from you! My Rating: 4.1


05. “Choke That Nigga”
Interestin’/good title; let’s see what it gon sound like… >>> Mixin’ a lil’ late but here it iz afta a few seconds… I like tha heartbeat in tha beginning… Tha hook sounds good; dumb shit from you here! Tha beat motivates you ta keep thangz comin’ in tha 1st verse… Good shit fa somethin’ short! My Rating: 4.3


06. “Can I”
I think I know what beat this gon be… >>> Oh, not tha “Sexy Can I” beat but it’s somethin’ else here… Not a Louisiana beat here but it sounds cool wit you on tha hook here; I like tha “smoke a coupla bluntz” shit! Tha verse’s pretty good too on this shit; you doin’ ya thang! My Rating: 4.0


07. “Who You Talkin’ To”
Strong title for an attitude, lol. >>> This sounds like more non-Louisiana shit on tha beat; good thing these are short songs ‘cause they kinda fit this way… I’m feelin’ what you spittin’ here; you keepin’ tha hard grindin’ on lock! My Rating: 3.9


08. “Might Be (Freestyle)”
Lemme hear… >>> Don’t think I know this joint but tha beat sounds cool… Sounds like someone’s rappin’ wit you? Who iz it? Y’all sound good together on tha 1st verse here; gr8 consistent combo! “Dickies on sag;” good-ass shit! I hear a hook finally @ 1:45 and it sounds good wit bein’ “on dat level!” My Rating: 4.4


09. “Independent (Freestyle)”
Anotha freestyle back to back, lol? >>> Yea, this time, it’s a familiar beat (of course). Good, consistent freestyle again! My Rating: 3.8


10. “How To Act”
Let’s hear what dis iz about! >>> Shit, yea, anotha tight joint! Tha hook’s real tight wit tha beat and you do ya thang on tha verse here! Ooh, a 2nd verse too on dis shit; good shit! My Rating: 4.5


11. “City Of God”
>>> Damn, this was a good, mainstream-type beat from tha good ‘07/’08 dayz; I forgot it, lol. Oh wait, bad ’07 times (“Pushin’”), lol. I did like C-Ride so it kinda was good ‘cause I didn’t play tha song in Fall ’07, where thingz went real fucked up fa me. Anyway, pretty good song; representin’ here for tha “city!” My Rating: 3.9


12. “Don’t Play” Feat. Yung Cannon
How come this and #21 are missin’ from tha folder when you download ‘em? >>> Neva mind, it didn’t even attempt to play. I’m gonna have ta skip it. My Rating: N/A


½time: Wow, an ACTUAL GOOD start to a CD FINALLY (even though this iz ’08 and not ‘09/’10)!! Tha average CD rating’s at 4.2; keep tha consistentness comin’!


13. “Ain’t No Need”
>>> Sounds like tha good Flo Rida dayz, lol. Tha verse sounds good here; you doin’ ya thang on this beat… Even a 2nd verse fit on here again; nice shit. My Rating: 3.5


14. “Stack Big Chips”
I like tha title but how will it sound? >>> Catchy; that’s mainly what I can say when it comes ta feelin’ good… Sounds like someone featured on tha 2nd verse; gr8 chemistry here! My Rating: 3.6


15. “Fruity Pebbles”
What iz this? >>> LOL, sounds like UGK on tha sample; funny/good sample/hook! Tha 1st verse sounds like it’s all about tha “purple weed” and all different colors; good-ass shit! Tha 2nd verse sounds good for a Southern-type joint; feelin’ tha vibe! My Rating: 4.3


16. “Always”
>>> Doesn’t sound Southern on tha beat start… Good advice but I don’t think I’ll like this kinda song dat much… Yea, this wasn’t that much for me; not that bad though… My Rating: 2.9


17. “Freestyle 4”
Let’s hear this one. >>> Not a Louisiana sound on tha beat and I’m not too crazy about these New York-soundin’ beats… Only aight on this beat; regular rappin’… My Rating: 3.0


18. “Jus Us Hustlin’”
I like tha title here so let’s see how it sounds as a song. >>> LOL @ tha “I Hustle” beat… Cool rhymes here; okay flow… My Rating: 3.4


19. “Where Do I Begin” Feat. Dreamz
Let’s see this collab… >>> Okay beat but I’m feelin’ tha beginning wit tha “kush!” I like how Dreamz’s spittin’ on tha 2nd verse wit tha “like tha lotto” shit when it comes ta grindin’! My Rating: 3.8


20. “Ya Dig”
Iz this tha beat I think it iz… >>> No, it ain’t but sounds Young Jeezyish… Not bad wit tha rappin’ but I like tha lil’ intermission wit tha “lemme hit tha blunt real quick” shit as well as tha coughin’ followin’ dat! Good job keepin’ tha 2nd verse up too… My Rating: 3.5

22. “Yadadameen”
>>> LMAO!!! This tha 1st time I heard someone on dis beat and this iz classic Hyphy shit!!! Good rhymes here and I like how it’s like four bars and then, tha hook! My Rating: 4.4


23. “Fly As A”
Oh, a new produced song by you? I thought it was gonna be tha same shit Webbie was on in ’08? >>> LOL, a Lil’ Wayne sample! Feelin’ this shit, ya dig! Tha beat’s cool and it sounds like you have a Lil’ Wayne-type flow on tha 1st verse… Tha 2nd verse keeps tha Lil’ Wayne-sound goin’… My Rating: 3.7


24. “Let’s Keep Groovin’”
Only one song left? Let’s see what this like. >>> I thought this was a familiar beat but it sounds like Rick Ross’s “Here I Am” beat but it’s not dat. Okay song and tha hook’s a lil’ plain. Not that much of excitement here… Ooh, a “smokin’ on dat good shit” kinda endin’… My Rating: 3.1


Overall: Well, finally, some betta shit from tha day! Nice job on this and we’ll see how your 2010 mixtape does when I review dat next!
