Too bad dat I took a nap for a while… Anyway, I’m back here for Review #7 for today: My boy Plex, from Record Section Entertainment (Fizz’s label), and his “Money, Power, Respect Vol. 1”! Now THIS’LL DEFINITELY be REAL, REAL GR8 compared to a lotta tha watered-down shit I’ve been reviewin’ lately! Start Time: 7:54 PM | End Time: 8:46 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Oh Yea (Chopped & Screwed)” Feat. Fizz
Look at dis collab wit DJ Lil’ Bone on tha C&Sin’!! Really lookin’ forward ta hearin’ dis!! >>> I like how it’s slow (a lil’ faster than typical Chopped & Screwed shit). Tha song iz aight but it gives me a real good vibe so I’m feelin’ it, ya dig! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good too… Ooh, my boy Fizz on tha 3rd verse, about 75% slowed down, lol. “Me & Plex in tha club;” just wonderin’, how for only 17? Good shit though! My Rating: 4.1


02. “Certified G”
Let’s see what’s good wit dis… >>> This almost sounded Chopped & Screwed for a second; cool soundin’ here for tha beginning. I like how it’s real slow on tha vibe! Tha hook even sounds chopped a lil’, lol. Tha hook’s good; str8 hood shit to tha fullest! Good job deliverin’ tha 1st verse for tha South here; “certified” tight, lol. Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good too; sounds like you’re reppin’ for tha H pretty hard on it too… LOL, this ended quick? My Rating: 4.2


03. “Ball & Parlay” Feat. Fizz
>>> It played before I could finish typin’ up tha last song’s feedback. Anyway, real catchy on tha hook here!! I’m REALLY likin’ tha beat here and you REALLY doin’ it tight on tha 1st verse here, ya dig! I’m likin’ all tha shit you spittin’ too! REAL GR8 flow too; all A’s here! My boy Fizz on tha 2nd verse? Sometimes I can tell but it sounds like him this time and it’s good; lots of rhymes ta spit when it comes ta any topic! Neva mind, easily, Fizz iz on tha 3rd verse, officially! I can tell his voice now and he spits rhymes quicker! My Rating: 4.8


04. “Talk Shit” Feat. Fizz
“Shit,” yea! Keep tha Fizz collabs comin’!! >>> Feelin’ how you’re comin’ through on this beat; good job here from Vybe! Sounds like it can be a street anthem! Spittin’ good shit on tha 1st verse; good, regular-paced flow too! Ooh, Fizz’s on tha 2nd verse and he doin’ his thang (as always)! I’m likin’ tha shit at 2:55 wit tha good, rapid rappin’! My Rating: 4.4


05. “Like The Way”
Let’s see this one… >>> Kinda scary on tha intro; reminds me of tha shit dat pissed me off on tha last bunch of reviewz… I like dat it’s heavily for tha gurlz though… Tha only verse sounds pretty good for tha subject; I just thought tha hook was a lil’ too soft… My Rating: 3.3


06. “Fuck With A Nigga Like Me” Feat. Nell
I “like” a title, attitude and perspective “like” dis! >>> Good beat and it’s only 2:10! Tha 1st verse was quick enough to there bein’ a 2nd verse available! BTW, tha 1st verse was good; you flowin’ good ova this beat! Tha hook sounds real gr8 for a vibe here! LOL, tha 2nd verse was this dude Nell (who luckily iz in tha “artist” part of tha mixtape name) but wasn’t sourced on tha filename. He did his thang on this shit; good collab! My Rating: 4.5


07. “Bitch, Stop Playin’ Wit Me” Feat. Crazy E
Let’s see this collab on anotha tight title like dis! >>> I like tha hook; very addictive wit tha repetitiveness! Good beat here that almost sounds like Vybe’s shit and you’re doin’ a pretty good job on tha 1st verse. I like tha pretty fast shit goin’ on in tha 2nd verse; really on a gangsta tip here!! E’s on tha 3rd verse and he considers himself tha “King of Pop?” He did a pretty good job though… My Rating: 4.5


½time: FINALLY!! Some REAL GOOD shit dat I can put on my iPod comin’ from tha reviewz, lol!! Glad ta hear resurrection here and you’re doin’ a GR8 job, Plex!! A NICE 4.3 average CD rating so far!!


08. “Pay Me”
Demanin’ title, lol! >>> Sounds pretty gutta on tha beat this time; good ear for beatz! Nice job wit tha 1st verse; sounds like street shit here, especially in tha hook fa those “doin’ time.” Nice job wit tha 2nd verse too; really holdin’ it down fa multiple sides here! My Rating: 4.4


09. “Mama Don’t Cry”
Not too big about a title like dis… >>> LOL, a “Record Section Entertainment” lil’ tag in tha beginning? At least this ain’t depressin’ on tha hook; sounds nice and street wit tha beat! Tha verses are tha typical, good shit you always spit for tha streetz; nice job. My Rating: 3.9


10. “My Shoes” (Chaz Feat. Plex)
Chaz’s song? Let’s hear dis wit you featured on it! >>> Kinda soft for a start… It sounds betta wit Chaz on tha 1st verse though; str8 thugged out in tha voice! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty good too; I think I like tha hook a lil’ betta and expect ta hear more from Chaz in tha future! You’re on tha 3rd verse here and it sounds good; glad you collaborated! My Rating: 4.0


11. “What U Want” Feat. Fizz
Shit, yea!! Fizz!! >>> LOL @ tha hook and tha “here!!” shit, lol! I’m likin’ dis beat too; y’all a GR8 team together! Tha 1st verse’s pretty good wit you just bein’ around all tha time; good shit! REALLY anticipatin’ my boy Fizz, ya heard me!! GR8 “sellin’ bricks” shit ta start tha verse off! He REALLY ‘bout dis Rap shit and did a NICE job here!! My Rating: 4.6


12. “Copycat Bitch”
LOL! *Copies myself* LOL! >>> ROFL @ tha hook and this start!! They even used tha “jerk” in tha hook too from “You’re A Jerk”, lol! Sounds like Fizz in tha 1st verse here wit all tha fast rappin’ but dat’s you doin’ it BIG dawg style!! It sounds like Fizz again fa some reason on tha 2nd verse; I guess it’s just tha fastness that I’m used to. Anyway, GR8 job here!! My Rating: 4.7


13. “Gangsta Lean”
Let’s hear dis… >>> Old Nintendo-type beginning, lol? Sounds good those first few seconds and then, tha beat completes itself on tha hook and sounds good; hot hook! Tha 1st verse sounds like you’re bringin’ your A game here; dumb shit, fast style!! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ gr8 too wit what you bringin’ too!! LOL, a 3rd verse too? Shit, yea! “Cover it [tha verse] up wit a lil’ season;” good shit! My Rating: 4.4


14. “Pain” Feat. Chaz
Not a kinda endin’ I’d expect… >>> Windy beginning… Almost sounds like tha “Successful” beat wit tha quiet vibe. A sad ending for me; can’t take it too much… Chaz came through outta nowhere on tha 1st verse too… Sounds boring for me… Tha 2nd verse from you’s a lil’ betta here… My Rating: 2.6


Overall: Much betta recovery from tha reviewz I’ve been reviewin’!! Nice job wit this CD right chea, my boy!! Keep up tha GR8 work to tha fullest!!
