Reviewed on 3.02.2011 (Review #844)
This next review iz a compilation. And, there’s a DVD along wit it; iz this all Louisiana or more on tha whole Southern tip? This iz my review for DJ Chill “Certified Hustlin’ Vol. 9 (Hosted by Fat B)”! Start Time: 1:23 PM | End Time: 1:57 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Fat Bastard “Intro”
>>> I like tha sound in tha voice, lol; gutta shit! “Louisiana to Texas collab;” I guess that’s a plus, at least, ‘cause Louisiana’s in this! My Rating: N/A
02. Fat Bastard “Gone Off That Drank”
SMH @ tha “f” missin’ in “off”. >>> This sounds good; must be a Texas artist ‘cause I don’t know them? Even tha lyrics are on a Texas tip… Soundin’ good fa a song; nice job startin’ it off! My Rating: 4.2
03. Rick Ross Feat. Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa “Super High (Remix)”
SMH… >>> If it wasn’t for Curren$y, this wouldn’t be of interest fa me. Then again, it’ll only peak at decent. Oh yea, Wiz iz a good collaboration person, too, but I’m not crazy ‘bout RR. My Rating: 3.2
04. J Dawg Feat. Trae “1st 48 (Remix)”
>>> Decent production, okay song. Trae’s shit aight in tha 1st verse but not really for me. J Dawg sounds like some tight dude; I know he reps tha Boot! Good voice fa dis and catchy flow, too! My Rating: 3.6
05. Jeezy Feat. Lil’ Jon “Jizzle”
SMH, no one knows how ta spell “Lil’ John”, still? Also, I think Jeezy already dropped tha “young”. >>> I thought we were in only two states; why tha jackin’ ATL? In 2010/2011, this ain’t my interest; these times are past me. My Rating: 2.8
06. Lil’ Wayne Feat. Drake “Right Above It”
SMH… My Current Rating: 4.3
07. Killa Kyleon Feat. Rick Ross “I Am The Hood”
A better artist that I didn’t hear much from… >>> Wow, this sucks for a start!! SMH, this iz a skip for me! I remember browsin’ Killa Kyleon on tha web… in 2003! My Rating: 1.0
08. Fat Bastard Drop
>>> Good drop. My Rating: N/A
09. Lil’ Boosie “From The Bottom”
SMH again; what tha hell? >>> Never heard (not in my iTunes library) but smh @ tha cliché jackin’ in tha beginning of tha 1st verse; automatically, I have low interest! Tha hook’s pretty good… My Rating: 3.5
10. Rick Ross Feat. Raekwon “Audio Meth”
>>> Not my kinda Southern music!!! I’ll give Rae credit, though. I would’ve skipped if it wasn’t for him! My Rating: 3.0
11. T.I. “T.I. Freestyle”
>>> Very short but aight; why iz he here? My Rating: 3.4
12. Killa Kyleon “Killa Kyleon Freestyle”
>>> Finally, a lil’ normal from him but doesn’t even sound Southern at all; very low interest! My Rating: 3.2
13. T.I. Feat. Lil’ Wayne “Yea”
*Yawn* >>> SMH, after a ½ decade, tha “Shoulder Lean” beat tag came back; what took so long? Surprisingly, this iz pretty good wit tha production. Although I have no anticipation at all, I gotta give it up to dat production. Tha hook sounds like someone would dickride it easily. My Rating: 3.7
14. Kevin Gates “Can’t Explain It”
He makes it but all my people don’t? Neva heard dis one… >>> My mood ain’t too high, right now, due to this mixtape. This iz a lil’ catchy wit tha rhymes but I’d have ta hear it at a different time, maybe. My Rating: 4.2
15. Gucci Mane Feat. Swizz Beats “It’s Gucci Time”
SMH @ this bein’ here/a collaboration. I remember back in ’02 – ’04 when these artists were barely known! >>> Already heard a lil’ bit of this… not like I’m interested. My Rating: 3.1
½time: Not likin’ tha ATL shit and all tha Rick Ross shit; I thought we were only in Louisiana and Texas? 3.3-rated mixtape, currently.
16. Fat Bastard Drop
>>> Anotha good drop… My Rating: N/A
17. Fat Bastard Feat. Killa Kyleon “Money Callin’”
>>> Tha hook sample sounds good and tha vibe’s pretty good, here. Tha 1st verse goes good wit this vibe… I think this iz a good collaboration; nice job. My Rating: 4.0
18. Kevin Gates “Lean 2 Da Side”
SMH @ havin’ tha same artist on here multiple times; there are other people out there!! I think there’s a remix; where’s dat? >>> Anyway, this iz still good, produced by EQ. My Current Rating: 4.4
19. Yo Gotti Feat. Jeezy, Rick Ross & The Clipse “Cocaine Music (Remix)”
>>> Think I gon skip dis; no interest. Maybe a real rating one day… if I ever review non-Louisiana music! My Unadjusted Rating: 1.0
20. Game “Slangin’ Rocks”
>>> C’mon wit these non-Louisiana artists—even worse: non-Southern artists!! My Rating: 3.3
21. Mouse Feat. Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em “Why They Jock My Style”
SMH @ this collaboration… >>> Why am I reviewin’ this right now? Mouse iz a plus but why this feature? Hate how he’s explicit at times, too, stupid Soulja Boy! My Rating: 2.7
22. Slim Thug Feat. Rick Ross “Suicide Doors”
Slim’ll neva be an undaground artist fa me, anymore, meanin’ Pre-’05 shit. >>> I think this beat’s pretty nice and tha song sounds good, too. Despite tha feature, I think Slim Thug’s doin’ a nice job, here. My Rating: 4.1
23. Z-Ro “Southside Groovin’”
>>> Ugh @ tha start; think he lost tha undaground touch, too. Actually, his rappin’ iz good; I’ll leave it at dat. My Rating: 3.8
24. A Dub Feat. Big Pokey & Lil’ Flip “Hoggin’ The Game”
Looks like a Texas collaboration… >>> Ugh, anotha hook I can’t like? Hate this kinda sound!! A Dub’s 1st? Sounds a lil’ like Big Pokey and it sounds good… Neva mind, dat was him 1st; why iz Lil’ Flip ahead in tha ID? SMH @ tha dickridin’! A Dub ain’t too bad wit his verse; a good, Texas sound… My Rating: 3.1
25. Gucci Mane Feat. Drake “In My Business”
Oh no… >>> Not bad but not for me wit this bullshit music industry, now. Neva mind, tha mood was ruined by Drake. My Rating: 2.4
26. Propain Feat. J Dawg “Real Talk”
>>> Don’t like tha intro and this production’s too non-Southern for me. Tha verses sound like they’re good… My Rating: 2.9
27. Shell (Young Thugga) “2 Much”
Finally, a normal/good artist!! Shell always does tha damn thang! I heard this not too long ago and you know Shell’s got it on lock!! My Current Rating: 4.4
28. Fat Bastard Feat. Paul Wall “Slow Mo”
>>> Are you fuckin’ serious?!? My Rating: 1.0
29. Savage “UGK (True Story)”
Yes, anotha normal artist! He does his thang on dis, too! Glad to see anotha one of my peoples on here! My Current Rating: 4.4
30. Young Kidd Kidd Feat. T Mck & Lil’ Boosie “Where They Do That At”
Must be a bonus song? Thought this was extremely non-Louisiana for somethin’ like Kidd Kidd to be on here; didn’t think y’all knew too much. It’s Kidd Kidd’s song; he should be in tha beginning of tha ID! Good collaboration; great ending, in a way! My Current Rating: 4.3
Overall: Damn, this wasn’t as good as I expected. Didn’t get tha combination of people from Miami and Atlanta; should’ve just stayed wit tha Louisiana/Texas combo. I wonder what tha DVD’ll be like? Hope I don’t waste my time wit it!
