Review #6 for today: Lit BlueBlack “Million Dollar Dreams Vol. 1”. I have ta say, unfortunately, I’m not lookin’ forward to this ‘cause tha artist’s name iz BlueBlack, which iz heavily-identical to my boy BluBlack, outta Gardere Lane. I guess tha “Lit” in front of your name iz called for, at times? Got To Get It Entertainment, here. Start Time: 10:53 AM | End Time: 11:14 AM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “My Section”
Damn, 5:10 for a starting song? >>> Damn, even some decent production, too? Why did you name yourself “BlueBlack”; why not “BlackBlue” or “Black&Blue”? Good hook, here… You’re also from “Baton Rouge;” I wonder if BluBlack knows who you are…? Even though this iz typical-soundin’ content, at least it sounds a lil’ on tha tight side. My Rating: 4.2
02. “Can’t Stop”
>>> This iz nice; I like tha vibe. LOL, you even go to tha “club,” too? LOL, that’s what everyone does; you automatically activate yourself ta go? This whole song goes off; definitely likin’ tha vibe you put inta this song, especially dat hook! My Rating: 4.3
03. “Shook Back”
>>> Tha hook sounds nice; I like tha street shit you offerin’, here. Thumbs up fa tha rhymes although why iz this 4.5 minutes long? I can see if there were features… “I go harder than ya dick,” rofl? Catchy shit you got on tha rhymes fa tha streetz, lol! My Rating: 4.0
04. “Cuttin’ Up” Feat. Dhat Fam
>>> Too bad when I hear your name, I feel like it’s my boy BluBlack. You got Dhat Fam on this joint? Damn, even “fulla dat shit;” how you make dat happen? LOL, dat hook’s so repetitive but definitely tight! Definitely a hyped-up joint, overall!! My Rating: 4.3
05. “No Mind”
>>> Uh oh, tha background on my desktop computer changed ta tha “Code Blu” CD BluBlack put out; lol, uh oh!! Guess he knows what’s on, lol! This sounds good; thought it would be more hyper? Some of it sounds a lil’ quiet… I like tha rhymes; thumbs up fa keepin’ shit consistent. My Rating: 3.8
06. “I Ain’t Finna Have It” Feat. Dhat Fam
>>> I find it funny how Dhat Fam does a lot of saggin’, randomly; what inspires y’all ta do what y’all do? EQ beat tag outta nowhere; happy birthday ta him. Good job wit how y’all come through on tha hook; nothin’ but good, consistent, Southern, Baton Rouge-type shit! My Rating: 4.2
07. “Do Me Something”
>>> SMH @ someone redoin’ (or whateva happened ta dis) “Streets Of BR”; have I heard this before? Not even sure but this sounds like Young Ready on tha rappin’, too; losing interest wit tha double combo. My Rating: 3.2
½time: For doubting in tha beginning, you’re pullin’ off a 4.0 for tha CD rating; thumbs up!
08. “I’m Feelin’ Good Good”
“Fellin’”? >>> This beat, too; you sound like Sheen~Marie, now. Kinda was aight ‘til I heard tha word “swag;” then, I realized somethin’ was wrong. My Rating: 3.0
09. “I Gotta Be”
>>> Damn, you even fall for tha gay route wit a beat like dis? Bleh; skips ‘cause of tha gayness in your voice on here! My Rating: 1.0
10. “I’ma Make It To Da Top” Feat. Dhat Fam
>>> This sounds betta; thumbs up fa more of dat Southern shit… Guess you brought Dhat Fam wit you, here, since I heard a female. My Rating: 3.9
11. “You Betta Move”
“Niga”? >>> Ooh, Guss from Dhat Fam’s on here? Thumbs up, although my 1st thought was Guss wit Dead Game when I heard tha same. Oh, tha title’s really “You Betta Move” accordin’ to tha hook and DatPiff tracklisting? Guess tha mp3 info on iTunes had a different title. Overall, tha vibe’s good, here, but it’s not that special for me, since it sounds a lil’ mainstream. My Rating: 3.4
12. “It’s Going Down Tonight”
>>> A lil’ smoother… Aight, but nothin’ special except for tha content. Tha hook sounds a lil’ gay… My Rating: 2.5
13. “Freestyle”
>>> Beat’s good but this ain’t a “freestyle” for me wit these “swag” lyrics. My Rating: 2.6
14. “You Gone See What’s Up”
>>> Good hype for an ending song…; not bad, overall, since I’m glad y’all seem hungry. My Rating: 3.5
Overall: Kinda yucky durin’ tha 2nd ½ but tha 1st ¼ was pretty good fa me.

13. “It’s Going Down Tonight” 2.5
