Comin’ up next, I have a review for New Orleans’s own, Fi’Jah “Beignets & Business”. Start Time: 11:13 PM | End Time: 11:33 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “The Time Has Come”
>>> Ugh, got scared off tha first few seconds! Damn, where’s tha rappin’? Finally, after almost 40 seconds. I can’t take dis too serious, yet; tha beat needs ta be much betta and not hella slow! My Rating: 2.4
02. “Tonight”
>>> A lil’ catchy although a lil’ on tha Basshunter “Saturday” sample wit tha way your vocals sound wit tha title. A lil’ mainstream fa me, so I’ll only leave it as a decent song. My Rating: 3.1
03. “Chillin’ On The Corner”
>>> Much betta wit tha production start. Tha hook’s a lil’ catchy and tha rhymes aren’t too bad; I think you’re a lil’ mainstream, at times, fa me, though, sayin’ what every mainstream rapper raps about, too. My Rating: 3.7
04. “Mirror Man” Feat. KashFlow
>>> A lil’ different for tha beat intro but I’m likin’ it, a lil’. Tha hook iz a singer and it’s decent, too; good vibe. You’re soundin’ decent on dis, as always. My Rating: 3.5
05. “Dumb” Feat. Shiny Green
>>> Tha production’s nice… Tha hook’s not bad, as well. You got some ‘car’-type shit, here, wit tha content; not bad… Tha collaboration sounds good wit Shiny Green on tha feature, also. My Rating: 3.8
06. “We Go” Feat. A.O.B.
>>> Tha hook and beat iz decent/good; startin’ ta become a lil’ catchy as it progresses. Tha rhymes are more consistent fa this CD; looks like we have a plus! Thumbs up fa dis collaboration, too! My Rating: 3.7
07. “Fly Away”
>>> If I had to skip at least one whole minute in tha beginning, you know there’s somethin’ wrong, here!! My Rating: 1.1
½time: Only a 3.0-rated CD for me, currently; mostly decent…
08. “Bag Lady” Feat. CrackTracks
>>> Tha beat’s cool and tha hook’s a lil’ catchy. Nice job on tha verses, too. My Rating: 3.6
09. “Hot Shit”
A lil’ shorter on tha length. >>> LOL @ tha repetitive hook; sounds a lil’ catchy. Tha lyrics are good/positive fa you. My Rating: 3.4
10. “Want To Make You Smile” Feat. CrackTracks
>>> A lil’ boring for tha beginning/beat… Tha last hook was repetitive, which was catchy; this one sounds boring/too repetitive. I don’t really have any interest in dis soft joint. My Rating: 1.9
11. “Timeline” Feat. Ciano
>>> Sounds like worse production fa me, here. This iz a lil’ boring and tha hook sounds like it samples somethin’. Tha “romance, romance, romance” part sounds like Casely singin’ tha title part to his “Neva Fall”. My Rating: 1.4
12. “A Better Man”
>>> No interest, again, but ‘preciate tha ‘factual’ Hip-Hop. Tha hook’s too stereotypical fa me wit tha “daddy” and shit like dat; I don’t picture rappers rappin’ ‘bout their parents. My Rating: 1.7
13. “Closet” Feat. MoeMoney, Rocc & CrackTracks
>>> Finally, some energy wit tha rappin’. I’m likin’ tha 1st verse and tha hook sounds good, too; nice job from tha unknown rappers. “You ain’t fresher than my balls;” what tha, lol? Tha rest of tha song iz consistent and interestin’, especially wit all tha alternations throughout tha verses! My Rating: 3.8
14. “One More Time”
>>> Really? Who would’ve thought Daft Punk’s song would get sampled for a Rap song… Tha BPMs sound a lil’ weird, here, but a lil’ catchy wit how tha Daft Punk sample sounds. Tha content iz pretty good, too. My Rating: 3.9
Overall: Not really my kinda CD, unfortunately.
