Anotha review, yet, anotha 16-track CD, lol! I think this one iz from 2007 but I’m not sure: Soulja Jay, Gorillaville Records in tha buildin’, “Star In Da Makin’ (Collector’s Edition) (Hosted by K-Chill)”! Start Time: 8:15 AM | End Time: 8:32 AM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

Shit yea!! >>> Ooh, K-Chill on tha intro, here; glad you teamed up wit K-Chill, Jay! You know nothin’ but crazy shit goes on wit him!! Not too interested in tha beginning of tha rappin’ so let’s see how it progresses… Somewhat-good; prolly would’ve expected betta but it’s still good. My Rating: 3.7


02. “Gimme Dat”
>>> Uh oh, jacked beats… Tha rhymes are a lil’ betta, here; thumbs up ta keepin’ shit poppin’. My Rating: 3.8


03. “Do Me Baby”
An original track produced by DJ Titanik? >>> Ugh, what’s this? Definitely not a beat for me! At least you have your sexual rhymes creatin’ catchiness… Anyway, way too Pop/R&B-Pop at tha same time! My Rating: 2.4


04. “Nicky Barnes”
I like dis title… >>> I’m feelin’ how you deliverin’ “shit” in tha hook; good job wit tha 2nd ½ of it, Louisiana-formula style! Tha rhymes are good, too; thumbs up fa dis. My Rating: 4.0


05. “D-Boy Life”
>>> For this beat, tha beginning’s catchy and it stays somewhat-catchy throughout tha whole thang, here. Tha hook’s somethin’ dat sounds good fa tha streetz, too. My Rating: 3.8
EDIT: Since it’s “Make Tha Trap Say Aye”, this must be newer than ’07; it’s ’09, actually.


06. “I’m Da Shit Round Yuh”
I like how dis title looks. >>> LOL, tha hook’s got it goin’ on; thumbs up fa makin’ it catchy ova dis beat. Tha rhymes sound like you’re grown up, which sound good. My Rating: 3.9


07. “Stuntin’ On ‘Em”
Jae Starr doin’ tha beat, here. >>> Sounds like a good-but-bad Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em track, in a way, as far as tha beat. Tha track, overall, sounds good wit dis kick-ass content; thumbs up fa it! Makes me, just, like tha song, regardless of anything! My Rating: 4.2


08. “Back In Da Day Flow” Feat. Black Magik
>>> Tha rappin’ sounds good; good “flow”, here. Tha 2nd verse has some catchy rhymes goin’ on, here; feelin’ tha content. My Rating: 3.7


½time: A 3.7-rated CD; even though I expect betta, at least you’re holdin’ shit down, in a way.

>>> This sounds good, too, just like #8. My Rating: 3.8


10. “I Go Hard”
Jae Starr doin’ tha beat again. >>> Now, it has a lil’ of “This Is Why I’m Hot” in tha beat sounds, smh. But, let’s see if tha song can impress me, regardless… Okay, you have some entertainin’ shit goin’ on, here. Yea, this iz nice; likin’ dat hook! My Rating: 3.9


11. “I Kno I Look Good” Feat. Jae Starr
Now, Jae’s on tha feature and Kace Jones iz on tha beat? >>> Oh no, a “swag” song? A lil’ catchy wit tha rappin’ but nothin’ dat would impress me… Tha hook sounds catchy, a lil’. Tha rest of this shit holds it down, too. My Rating: 3.8


12. “Luv In Da Hood” Feat. Yung Tyke
>>> Tha singin’ caught me off-guard but this sounds good. Overall, sounds like a mainstream song that’s decent. My Rating: 3.6


13. “Have You Ever”
DJ Titanik beat. >>> Anotha not-so-good beat fa me; you know I hate beats wit stupid voices throughout tha beat! Tha rhymes are pretty-good, overall, once again. My Rating: 2.8


14. “Go Getta Muzik”
>>> Tha beat you chose, here, iz nice; let’s see what you got ta offer… Tha hook’s definitely catchy and tha flow’s nice, too, wit tha content! My Rating: 3.9


15. “I’mma Problem”
Anotha DJ Titanik beat? >>> Okay, this one’s a lot betta than tha previous two beats of his I heard! This sounds a lil’ cliché wit tha lyrics for tha start. Either way, I’m likin’ ‘em, you know? Tha hook’s nice fa a Weezy sample; gotta feel it! My Rating: 4.1


16. “They Don’t Like Me” Feat. K-Chill & Sig
Neva knew Sig was on tha feature as well as DJ Titanik on tha beat. Glad you included dis on here!! Dat boy K-Chill’s tha one you gotta fuck wit heavy!!! Nothin’ sounds bad dat he puts out/iz featured on!! My Current Rating: 4.6


Overall: Not bad, overall; I know tha more-recent shit iz betta.
