Review #5 for today: Bottom Posse “Thay “Gotta” Pop Me 2 Stop Me”; this looks like it gon be some serious shit! Start Time: 11:04 PM | End Time: 11:25 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Intro
Let’s see what dis CD gon offer… >>> For a front cover dat’s light out, this sounds really dark on tha intro, which I’m really likin’!! My Rating: N/A
02. “Straight M.F. Hustling”
Looks like a serious title; ‘bout ta take dis serious before I hear it!! >>> Tha production’s definitely nice; you already know what it iz wit dis!! Tha vocals sound like Mystikal—deliveries, too!!! What a great way ta go wit a “psycho” theme!! Ooh, a female’s on dis, too? She sounds nice and consistent! Y’all really did a nice job wit dis one, comin’ through wit tha consistency and tha quality!! My Rating: 4.6
03. “Mr. Murderer” Feat. 2Face & Foe
Looks like it gon be interestin’… >>> Interestin’ females in tha beginning as well as tha gangsta-soundin’ hook! I’m likin’ tha rhymes, here; sounds pretty interestin’ fa somethin’ almost six minutes long! Tha hook iz definitely somethin’ ta take serious; all about a “murderer” out in tha wild! All of tha rhymes are pretty serious, here, which get betta and betta as each verse goes by!! Voices are incredible, too!! My Rating: 4.7
04. “It’s My Funeral Nigga”
Speakin’ of dis title, R.I.P. to my GR8 Grandma Lena’s walkin’ friend, Ella; she died of breast cancer this morning! >>> LOL, sounds like somethin’ you can almost dance to wit tha beat? I’m really likin’ how y’all deliver tha hook in a smooth way; good shit… Nice job wit comin’ through wit some rhymes dat help settle tha mood when it comes ta an emergin’ “funeral.” LOL, dat dude on tha outro has a scary voice; perfect fa somethin’ like dis, lol! My Rating: 4.3
05. “Going To The State Pen (Angolia Bound) Pt. 2
A 2nd part? Lookin’ forward ta hearin’! >>> “Silky Slim”’s a part of tha clique? This shit’s pretty nice wit tha way tha vocals are delivered in a serious way!! Tha beat sounds good fa a dark place, on a quiet tip! Tha lyrics are a definite plus, here; can’t deny anything y’all put out! Tha hook sounds like anotha catchy piece of Bottom Posse, here; too bad y’all “going to tha state pen,” though. Ooh, 2nd verse iz a female, doin’ good… My Rating: 4.6
½time: This CD’s definitely hot; y’all bringin’ dat 4.6-rated heat, currently!!!!!!
06. “Lost In The Game”
>>> A much slower-soundin’ song; sounds like y’all really depressed or somethin’ in this beginning? It’s still pretty interestin’… Tha hook sounds even more depressin’; not too bad… Havin’ tha 2nd verse be on tha same vibe as tha 1st verse iz kinda sour, especially since dis iz a group… My Rating: 3.7
07. “You Better Open Your Eyes”
>>> Okay, this iz betta; feelin’ these more-energetic vocals, soundin’ like a young Mystikal! Tha beat sounds like it can hold y’all down in a good way… Rhymes are catchy, here, as well as tha command to “open up your eyes!” My Rating: 4.3
08. “Cop Killer”
LOL, follow-up to tha Body Count/Ice-T’s song? >>> I like tha “cop” intro goin’ on, here; sounds real serious… Tha beat sounds pretty nice… Deliveries are not too bad, here; tha lyrics are definitely a plus, though, since it’s all about tha streetz! LOL, tha hook sounds like a spooky, watered-down version of tha Body Count song, in a good way fa tha Boot! LOL @ tha anti-“cop” shit goin’ on in tha 2nd verse fa these smooth, grimy vocals! LOL, dat dude ain’t stoppin’ wit tha rappin’ and goin’ at tha “cops,” lol! My Rating: 4.2
09. “Angel Dust”
LOL, what y’all got ta offer wit dis drug? >>> Tha sample sounds…—–I dunno since it’s just a regular female voice on a smooth beat… However, once tha 1st verse rolls in wit y’all, shit sounds betta wit tha rhymes and tha vibe y’all bringin’, here. Tha 2nd verse sounds just as good as tha 1st verse wit tha content goin’ on, too… My Rating: 4.1
10. “A Gangster’s Story (Part 2)”
Anotha sequel joint. >>> Ooh, nice start! Damn, y’all even sayin’, “shit yea,” ‘96/’97 style!! Good Louisiana dialect for tha start, ya dig? ROFL, “The Message” beat, on a faster tip? This iz entertainin’ and tha rhymes are aight but I rather hear somethin’ 100% original… Good job wit all tha rhymes but no need fa dis ta be five minutes long. My Rating: 3.6
11. Outro
What y’all gon say? >>> Just like tha intro, good voice, here; thumbs up fa anotha good CD! This iz from “’96”? Damn, I thought it was ’97… My Rating: N/A
Overall: Just like I said, y’all did tha damn thang!
