Got my 4th review for today: Laces “J.A.Y.’s Game (By Proverb)”, or iz dat “J-A-Y’s Game”? Anyway, released on CitiTrax Records and I’m lookin’ forward ta hearin’! Start Time: 9:50 AM | End Time: 10:13 AM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

Startin’ off wit a “call”, lol. >>> LOL, sounds like tha movie phone! My Rating: N/A


02. “Sing-A-Long”
>>> I thought this would be an okay song (based off this title) but it’s soundin’ tight wit consistent rhymes!!! “Get all up in yo hair like I was dandriff;” whoa! Tha gangsta shit’s soundin’ tight as fuck, too!! I know I played a song off your CD on my radio show but it’s not this. However, this sounds like tha song, lol? Definitely a kick-ass song wit names and err-thang goin’ on!!! My Rating: 4.7


03. “J-A-Y’s Game”
Title track, here! >>> Damn, consistent rhymes!!! No wonder why I thought tha previous song sounded like somethin’ I played on my radio show; you seem ta have tha same, kick-ass flow!!! LOL @ tha Ice Cube-soundin’ hook; definitely official, here!! ROFL, tha 3rd verse iz fast like Snow’s “Informer”, lol!! Such a tight-ass song wit consistent rhymes!!!!! My Rating: 4.8


04. “4 The Love Of My Hood” Feat. Nobody
LOL, Nobody iz tha feature name? I bet he gon be a Somebody once I hear him!! >>> Sounds like a smooth joint; you got tha good rhymes comin’ along, once again! Tha “streetz” definitely must luv this!! I’m hearin’ Nobody on tha 2nd verse and it sounds like they’re a non-Louisiana artist? Sounds good, though; pretty consistent wit tha rhymes… Tha 3rd verse sounds good wit some consistent rhymes from you; good shit… “Growin’ up,” I actually “got beat down a lot;” those bitches prolly regret it ‘cause look where I am now!! Tha 4th verse sounds betta; feelin’ tha fastness wit tha rhymes!! My Rating: 4.4


05. “Laces: The Change”
A self-titled song? What’s this? >>> Thought it was gonna be a skit but it sounds good; you definitely got your “Laces,” rockin’ ‘em good!! ROFL @ tha “rip yo face off like I’m John-Fuckin’-Travolta;” damn!! LOL, tha hook’s pretty crazy wit tha rapid rappin’, vs. tha G-Funk sound; good combo!! Tha 2nd verse iz good, too, wit tha consistent rappin’! I’m likin’ how tha 3rd verse sounds, too; gotta be “breakin’ rules” ta seek new destinations! My Rating: 4.5


06. “Watch Yo Pussy”
LOL, this’ll prolly be hilarious! >>> I like tha echoin’ in tha beginning—ooh, beat’s kickin’ in! Ooh, I heard some “uh, uh, uh” shit like in Mental Generation’s “Café Del Mar”! This’ll definitely be some catchy shit!! LOL, tha hook’s pretty nice wit tha Biggie sample; prolly could’ve had a female orgasm ta make it funnier, lol! But, you got tha descriptive rhymes on lock fa these hoes! My Rating: 4.6


07. “Respect Me”
>>> Kick-ass rhymes and punchlines, once again; tha beat’s pretty tight, too, wit tha dark theme!!! I like tha spellin’ of “P-R-O, tha V into tha E-R-B” in tha hook; good shit! If anyone luvs consistent rhymes, this iz a plus fa dat!! My Rating: 4.8


½time: Definitely a great CD from you; who would’ve guessed?! I guess err-body outta tha Boot’s on ‘n’ poppin’!! Currently, a 4.6 for tha CD rating; definitely what’s up!!!!!!

Yes, a skit! >>> Sounds good; glad you get “[your] smoke on!” My Rating: N/A


09. “Still Love Me?”
>>> Beat’s nice and smooth/Hip-Hop-y fa an undaground, ‘90s Rap song; you got tha consistent rhymes on lock, again!! Tha hook sounds good wit tha singin’; nice lil’ mainstream-soundin’ song… Even endin’ wit an extension of tha singin’, too… My Rating: 4.4


10. “Day 1 Niggaz”
Let’s see what dis gon be like. >>> Consistent rhymes, once again!!! Sounds like a real-tight freestyle!!! Tha beat gets nice and spooky at times, too!! My Rating: 4.8


11. “Bayou’s Theme (O.T.B.)” Feat. David The Great
LOL, this iz what I played! I know it was kick-ass; lemme review it and see what gon go down!! >>> Yea, it was one or two weeks ago; definitely a catchy hook wit tha spellings!!! I rememba tha kick-ass style you brought to tha table when hearin’ this; you definitely put tha “kick” in “kick-ass”, ya dig? Tha featured dude sounds good on tha 2nd verse, too; sounds like a good collaboration wit communication, too! Tha 3rd verse iz nice, too; good shit fa tha G’s ta luv! My Rating: 4.7


12. “Don’t Fuck With White Girlz”
What’s wrong wit ‘em? Lemme hear! >>> Prolly an ‘F-U’ ‘cause they don’t typically like Rap music, in my perspective! Rhymes are good; sounds like they don’t stop, lol! Interestin’ topic but tha other songs seemed betta fa me; I guess ‘cause tha theme? My Rating: 4.3


13. “Why They Call U Remixer?”
LOL, this iz an interestin’ title… >>> Beat’s regular-soundin’ but tha rhymes are consistent, again! Tha hook sounds good wit tha multiple voices; lol, Ice Cube again! This iz good fa a long song; glad you got rhymes dat last a long-ass time!! My Rating: 4.5


14. “Pieces (The Day We Died)”
I hope this ain’t too sad or whateva, especially since it’s long… >>> Not too sad but tha beat’s a lil’ boring…; some of tha sounds are nice but for tha most part, this iz aight… Tha hook ain’t really that catchy fa me, even though this iz a song fa tha ones dat “died.” Rhymes are sad but what’s worse iz dat this iz hella-long… My Rating: 3.6


Overall: Good job wit your producer Dunmars doin’ tha damn thang on tha tracks! Nice CD, pretty much; tha last song wasn’t really my style but for tha most part, you’re anotha consistent-ass rhymer!!
