Reviewed on 6.09.2011 (Review #985)
Let’s start today off wit tha letter G: G Sta & Casual T “World Of Syn”; looks like it gon be good!! Start Time: 1:11 PM | End Time: 1:32 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Choke Hold”
I like titles and topics like this, which I’m expectin’ ta look forward ta hearin’ this joint! >>> Sounds like some good energy in tha beginning!! Ooh, here comes tha rappin’ and it’s definitely on an A+ level!! Crazy shit goin’ on, here, wit tha rhymes and tha gutta-ass attitude!!! Not to mention, tha beat iz pretty sick-soundin’, too! Thumbs up ta G Sta and thumbs up ta Casual T, comin’ through wit some heat, too!! Tha hook sounds like somethin’ quick, at first, but iz somethin’ smooth and gutta fa somethin’ good like dis! My Rating: 4.8
02. “Him Or Me”
Lemme check dis shit out… >>> Sounds like an okay/good joint; nice beat, good rhymes and an okay/catchy flow… I guess shit’s soundin’ betta on tha verses fa me? Y’all a great team! Tha hook sounds good wit this whole “him or me” battle, lol. My Rating: 4.2
03. “Dear Lord”
Not my kinda title or topic so let’s see what’s up… >>> Production sounds pretty nice… LOL, long intro; will it start? Okay, tha rhymes and deliveries are soundin’ betta than tha previous song, already! Thumbs up fa deliverin’ your lifestyle like dis; nothin’ but catchiness ta where tha listeners and hoods can feel, ya feel me? Tha hook’s aight fa me; didn’t expect a female ta sing tha title but it’s all good… My Rating: 4.3
04. “U Don’t Stand A Chance”
>>> This beat sounds a lil’ catchier; gotta feel what’s goin’ on, here! Rhymes sound like luvin’ Rap music; thumbs up! Tha hook sounds catchy wit this “u don’t stand a chance” theme, when it comes ta those wack MCs! My Rating: 4.2
05. “World Of Syn”
Title track. >>> Beat sounds good, once again; rhymes and content iz definitely a plus, ya heard me? Gotta feel tha hood shit within your perspectives! Even a male singer on tha hook? Sounds good… My Rating: 4.3
06. “We Be Ridin’”
>>> Tha beat sounds like a jam to ride to. Ooh, a gurl rappin’? Who’s this unlisted gurl? She sounds good, doin’ tha damn thang fa tha ridaz! She’s even holdin’ down tha hook wit y’all in tha background, too; good jam, right here! Tha 2nd verse sounds good wit y’all back on tha mic; kick-ass, consistent rhymes! Really likin’ tha 3rd verse wit tha great voice and consistent rhymes, once again! My Rating: 4.4
07. “In My City”
>>> A male singer on tha hook, here, and it sounds decent… Rhymes are on a good tip, here; reppin’ hard fa ya “city!” Ooh, likin’ this 2nd verse from this—soundin’ like—mysterious voice?! Good shit! Tha rhymes are pretty consistent and serious wit tha delivery goin’ on!! Good shit all tha way ‘round!! My Rating: 4.4
½time: This iz anotha classic-soundin’ Louisiana CD, here, ya dig? A 4.4 for tha CD rating; can y’all keep it up?!!!
08. “Face 2 Face”
>>> This shit sounds good; tha 1st verse sounds like what Baton Rouge’s Level sounds like, now… I wonder, did he have an influence from y’all? Nice, kick-ass rhymes throughout tha 1st verse!! Tha hook’s good; all about tha must of “face 2 face” communication, which I’m gettin’ betta at… Tha 2nd verse has some consistent rhymes goin’ on; gotta feel ‘em! Tha 3rd verse ain’t too bad, overall; squeezed in pretty nicely… My Rating: 4.3
09. “Hard Time”
>>> Nice beginning wit tha beat and tha emerge of tha 1st verse; feels like a group of members, lol! Wit tha kick-ass delivered rhymes, tha hook sounds good fa this struggle, too; good job wit all tha effective combos! Tha 2nd verse iz pretty kick-ass, too; gotta feel this content wit a great, gangsta delivery goin’ on, here!! Tha 3rd verse sounds like some good, typical, ‘90s, kick-ass-soundin’ verse, here, wit tha great content continuin’!! My Rating: 4.5
10. “Lyric Shots”
>>> Beat sounds good ta rap on, once again; good shit… These are some good “lyrics;” thumbs up fa doin’ tha damn thang fa tha Boot! Glad there’s a team of y’all ta do tha damn thang wit tha “lyric shots;” wack MCs must be gettin’ hit wit ‘em, lol!! My Rating: 4.3
11. “Tell Mama”
>>> Beat’s okay but what’s up wit this hook? Sounds a lil’ weird wit tha weird singin’… Good rhymes about tha “mama” but it’s not really for me, overall. LOL, a gurl on tha hook, almost soundin’ cliché? My Rating: 3.8
12. “Keep It Real”
>>> LOL @ tha “ah” shit in tha beginning, or should I say, what’s gonna come up next? This iz an okay-soundin’ song but those male vocals in tha background are kinda annoyin’… Either way, good job wit tha rhymes, once again… My Rating: 4.0
13. “Crucial Thoughts”
>>> This sounds like anotha good, “Lyric Shots”-soundin’ song… Good “thoughts,” here; rhymes are on-point, too. My Rating: 4.1
14. “Flossin’”
>>> Tha gurl sounds good, this time, in tha beginning…; I luv how they randomly appear on tracks, lol! Hearin’ tha verses and they’re catchy; this iz anotha okay/good song, overall… My Rating: 4.2
15. “Him Or Me (Bonus Radio Version)”
Props… See #2 fa tha review!
Overall: Pretty good CD!! Thumbs up fa deliverin’ your perspective on life, in a great, quality-soundin’, gangsta way!
