My 2nd review for today iz a different name: DJ Lil’ Daddy Vol. 1 Feat. Tha A-Team “Marked 4 Death”; neva saw a Vol. 1 in an artist name and I don’t believe I’ve eva reviewed a CD wit “feat.” in tha name, so this should be interestin’! Start Time: 10:29 AM | End Time: 10:59 AM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

Time ta see what it’s like in New Orleans, with a DJ Lil’ Daddy Vol. 1 & Tha A-Team perspective!! >>> What’s up wit tha long-ass Soul start? Finally, here you are, Lil’ Daddy, wit “Uncut Records.” Overall, it’s just an intro (thought it was gonna be a song); tha beat ain’t too bad for a Soul-soundin’ one… My Rating: N/A


02. “The Price Is Yo Life”
Let’s hear dis! >>> Beat’s a lil’ on tha aight tip… Tha rhymes are soundin’ good now dat I’m hearin’ ‘em on tha 1st verse; tha beat’s startin’ ta have more sounds, which iz givin’ me a feel fa more interest. This may be a lil’ too long but good shit fa tha hood/streetz, here, wit this real shit. My Rating: 4.2


03. “Dead Serious”
>>> This sounds betta for production and tha length iz only 4:08, so that’s good! Rhymes are on point, here, wit tha real-time, hood content, once again! Tha hook sounds interestin’ and familiar; it’s good ta be “dead serious” before someone winds up “dead,” ya dig? I like tha random, spoken words near tha end of tha songs, too. My Rating: 4.4


04. “Murder Nigga”
What’ll this be about? >>> Sounds like a good beat… Whoa, rapid-fire rhymes, here!! I’m likin’ tha singin’ comin’ through on tha hook; nothin’ but catchy shit, here! Damn, tha rapid-fire continues on tha 2nd verse; sooooo crazy, here!!! My Rating: 4.8


05. “Afta Dark”
Perfect title; let’s see what’s good wit dis! >>> Really feelin’ tha rhymes in this, too; “you chose tha wrong ball park!” Damn, keep this “baseball” theme goin’ wit tha punchlines!!! This iz anotha hook dat’s tha shit; really feelin’ tha whole ‘you-might-die’ theme, mixed wit tha “park” shit!! “Stomp on yo ass like a hawk;” damn, how much shit y’all got ta offer, here?!? What a great song; to tha point wit catchy-ass punchlines and themes!!! My Rating: 4.8


06. “Don’t Dat Drive Ya”
Lots of D’s goin’ on in tha title, here; let’s see what’s good! >>> Sounds like a good beat; can’t wait for tha rhymes! Rhymes sound like they’re for tha “home;” good shit, here… I’m likin’ tha hook more than tha 1st verse; I like how y’all deliver it, includin’ tha lady in tha background! Tha rest of tha rhymes sound like they’re on tha 1st verse’s level, which ain’t too bad… My Rating: 4.3


07. “Unsolved Murder”
Tight title; too bad somethin’ like dis always happens! >>> Startin’ tha song off wit “12 O’Clock”? Damn, dat caught my attention ‘cause of tha late, Twelve A’Klok, who died a lil’ ova 10 months ago; don’t think I know who murdered him… This slow beat iz nice ‘cause tha gangsta shit iz all ova tha track, which I’m definitely feelin’; y’all keep dis shit up!! Real nice hook wit tha “and he gon be tha victim of an unsolved murder;” just gutta and gangsta to tha bone!! Ooh, a male singer comin’ through wit some tight singin’ on tha hook, too; this should be tha theme to tha next “unsolved murder” I hear about when I do my radio show! Tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ betta than tha 1st verse; what a great voice ta hold an “unsolved murder” down!! My Rating: 4.6


08. “Murder Muthafuckaz”
Tha follow-up wit “murder” in tha title, once again, lol! >>> This beat ain’t too bad but tha content iz on-point, once again!! Gotta luv this street shit, especially hearin’ ‘bout this “murder” shit, “muthafuckaz,” lol! Tha 1st verse has good deliveries goin’ on; gotta feel what y’all got! LOL, gotta luv tha “murder, murder; you murder, muthafuckaz” shit in tha hook, lol!! Y’all definitely entertainin’ in any way!! Tha 2nd verse sounds tight wit this “loc’d down” shit! Ooh, a 3rd verse, too, comin’ through wit mo shit fa this hot track!! My Rating: 4.5


½time: This iz a nice CD, ya dig? A 4.5-rated CD, currently; dat’s definitely what’s up!!!!!


09. “A-Team”
Somewhat-self-titled? >>> Sounds like a good song dat’s filled wit some G-Funk sounds, too! Good rhymes, overall; tha “A-Team” representin’ hard, here, as tha song progresses!! “I’m equipped for mortal combat;” definite plus!! My Rating: 4.4


10. “DJ Lil’ Daddy In Tha Mix”
LOL, now, it’s your turn, Lil’ Daddy! >>> I dunno if I should rate this as a song or just consider it a long skit? I’ll rate it as a song; good mixin’! My Rating: 4.2


11. “Check Yourself”
Looks like a typical title… >>> Sad, singin’ start? Kinda dry… Tha 1st verse iz only off to an aight start but tha content’s good; I think I might like this betta once I hear tha rest of it… Tha hook sounds really sad wit this whole “child” theme and what’s goin’ on; a lil’ sad ta hear but I’m still likin’ it enough ta hear… This iz also a lil’ long but tha rhymes kept me in-tune… My Rating: 4.0


12. “To Tha Haters”
>>> This iz a regular-paced song, soundin’ good wit tha rhymes and tha beat, here. Tha hook sounds betta, here, wit tha male singer and tha message about tha anti-“haters,” lol. Y’all doin’ a good job wit tha rhymes, here; gotta keep it goin’! My Rating: 4.2


13. “Dedicated”
A lil’ long and wit a title like dis, will I be able to handle it? >>> Sounds good wit tha beat and tha flow; tha content iz also on point, too, when it comes to tha paranoia. I thought I wouldn’t have tha most interest in this but it’s good; nice anthem fa those in jail! Of course, tha tight rhymes are keepin’ shit goin’! Thumbs up fa holdin’ down a 5.5-minute song! My Rating: 4.2


14. “Verbal Cortex”
A nice title, here; how will it go for a five-minute song? >>> Beat sounds good; tha flow sounds a lil’ random, although tha rhymes are on point… Yea, this iz slowly borin’ me wit not much goin’ on; tha flow could’ve changed up or somethin’… My Rating: 3.8


15. “Niggaz Want Me Dead”
Looks like a good title… >>> Beat’s soundin’ good for a start… Okay, now, tha flow’s back ta normal/great! Damn, shit’s gettin’ real, real, real serious afta tha 1:00 mark!!!!! Tha hook’s soundin’ great wit tha voice; this iz definitely some hot shit!! What a great way ta recover from tha previous song’s flow!! See, you can have tha song under four minutes and it could be tight as fuck!! Speakin’ of tight as fuck, tha 2nd verse iz where tha ‘after tha 1:00 mark’ part left off; crazy-ass shit goin’ on, here!!! My Rating: 4.7


16. “Slewfoot Outro”
What iz this? >>> This iz anotha “’96” CD? Maybe tha songs are? Anyway, good way ta end it wit err-body representin’… LOL, at 2:21, some rappin’ had ta sneak in, lol! What a gutta voice wit shit ta say! My Rating: 4.4


Overall: This was definitely some good shit; y’all establish a great connection together!! Keep up tha great work; hope y’all still around and doin’ good music, still!!
