Reviewed on 6.08.2011 (Review #983)
Got my 6th review for today: EWV “True Soldiers”; that’s right! Start Time: 10:52 PM | End Time: 11:08 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “True Soldier (Radio Edit)”
Lemme find tha dirty version… See #8 fa tha review!
02. “Home In A Minute”
Let’s see how good dis gon sound! >>> Really likin’ tha dialect in tha beginning!! Ooh, tha hook’s tight wit this beat; this definitely gon be a great CD!! Whoa, tha rhymes are really off tha chain on tha 1st verse!!! Thank God this iz a long song, lol; how many rhymes are gonna be spit within 5:11?!?!? Tha 2nd verse iz crazy as fuck!!! Can this get betta?!? Tha 3rd verse iz definitely fulla dat gangsta, hood shit; gotta luv it!!! LOL, goin’ on ‘n’ on ‘n’ on ‘n’ on ‘n’ on ‘n’ on…, lol!! My Rating: 5.0
03. “Gangsta 2 D End”
Should be tight, once again!! >>> This sounds good; nice beat wit Bounce-styled vocals goin’ on, here! Tha hook sounds good—lol, I should just say, “Bounce,” lol! Rhymes continue ta stay on point, just like tha 1st verse; thumbs up fa this one, too! My Rating: 4.4
04. “Murda On My Hands” Feat. Rinell
What’ll this be like? >>> Whoa, sounds like a tight anthem fa havin’ a “murda on [yo] hands!!” Damn, here come tha kick-ass, fast-ass rhymes in tha 1st verse!!! Too bad I don’t have “Gauntlet Legends” fa Nintendo 64 on my computer; this old, Louisiana music would be perfect fa dat!!! “Girbauds;” yay!! Y’all rockin’ tight-ass shit!!! I like how tha length’s a lil’ ova three minutes; short ‘n’ sweet wit a great collaboration!!! My Rating: 4.8
05. “8th-Ward Villains (We ‘Bout It)”
I believe I played dis on my radio show last week or somethin’; I know this was on Lady Red’s CD? >>> Maybe this iz different? Not sure, since it said, “1997,” when her CD came out in ’96? Anyway, this iz cool fa bein’ ova a Bounce beat…; glad y’all got tha gangsta shit on lock! My Rating: 4.3
06. “Kickin’ N Tha Bank”
I have a feelin’ we gon switch back to tha fast-ass rhymes!! >>> Wit this dialect in tha beginning, it makes me feel good and confident dat some tight-ass shit ‘bout ta enter my ears!!! Off top, tha hook’s soundin’ tight; lol @ this 5:46 length, too! Rhymes are good—nothin’ fast but they’re tight wit tha content! I’m likin’ tha random, G-Funk sounds appearin’, here and there, lol; this iz definitely official!! Some of this shit iz soundin’ betta as tha song progresses; good shit! My Rating: 4.6
½time: This CD’s pretty tight!! A 4.6-rated CD; can’t go wrong wit kick-ass rhymes dat are tha shit!!!!!!
07. “Steppin’ With Some Soldiers” Feat. Rinell
Anotha collab? Should be good! >>> This sounds like an anthem, wit a slower beat; likin’ tha hook! Ooh, tha rhymes are fast again, lol!! Definitely feelin’ tha rhymes as well as tha kick-ass collaboration, too; gotta feel this ‘don’t-give-a-fuck’ attitude! LOL @ tha outro; “yah, yah!” My Rating: 4.5
08. “True Soldier”
Okay, here’s tha song; lemme see what we got! >>> Maybe it was this song I played? LOL, I think I played this one time, too! This iz a cool song wit bein’ a “true soldier” and representin’ hard on tha hook and fa tha 504! Tha rhymes are really good wit tha fastness and tha whole breakdown of what’s goin’ down in EWV’s world! My Rating: 4.4
09. “Gangsta 2 D End (Radio Edit)”
Ooh… See #3 fa tha review!
10. “Scope It Out (If You Don’t Understand)”
Keepin’ it goin’… >>> Lil’ bit of Biggie in tha background of tha beat, here; sounds good, 504 style. I’m likin’ tha mix of gangsta rhymes and “smoke somethin’” shit, lol! See, now this iz how people should handle jacked-soundin’ beats now!! Mostly, err-body sounds wack as fuck now!! My Rating: 4.3
11. “Playa Playa” Feat. Lady Red
Looks like a good title… >>> Lady Red in tha beginning? It says she’s featured on tha CD… It has ta be ‘cause there’s no ID on tha feature; gotta source her! Rhymes sound good wit this beat; gotta have tha tightness from EWV at all times!! Y’all headed fa five stars!!! Tha 2:00ish area’s soundin’ hot wit tha rapidness; go, EWV!! Lady Red’s soundin’ good, randomly, too! My Rating: 4.5
12. “Putt’em On Tha Map” Feat. Lady Red
How we gon end dis? >>> LOL @ tha “uh, ah” shit in tha background; good shit ta chant! Gonna source Lady Red on tha feature, once again, doin’ her thang wit tha chantin’! Y’all holdin’ it down fa err-body “on tha map” when it comes ta tha 504 areas; good shit!! Nice outro track, overall; lol @ tha “to them ___ niggas” part durin’ tha 2:00ish area! Y’all really holdin’ shit down!! Gotta add y’all to anotha one of tha greatest artists of all time!! My Rating: 4.4
Overall: Damn, I didn’t realize how great y’all were when I played y’all!! This iz betta than what I played; good-ass job!! Keep up tha hot shit, if y’all still around!!
