Time ta do a review… Lil’ Dru “Hot Shit”. I believe this iz a jacked-beat CD so I’m not lookin’ forward. I also think it’s from ’08. Start Time: 9:23 AM | End Time: 9:50 AM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

>>> “Green Lantern”? I thought we’re in Louisiana? Weird, New York perspective. However, tha rappin’ kinda aight but tha attitude iz betta. I don’t categorize this wit Louisiana, though. Sounds too funny wit all tha “nigga” parts; where did this attitude come from? My Rating: 3.8


02. “A Milli, Niggaz”
I believe there’s a comma in tha title. >>> Pretty gay dat it had ta be dis beat; ’08 or not! ROFL @ “plays on MySpace;” can you say dat now? A lil’ mixed here as well as all this Pop shit, too. My Rating: 2.7


03. “Hot Shit”
>>> Better rhymes here, wit a consistent twist. My Rating: 4.2


04. “Forgive Me” Feat. Frankie D. Adams
>>> Sounds really quiet? I don’t get it… This iz not for me at all; stopping it early. My Rating: 1.4


05. “Step Ya Game Up” Feat. Kase B
>>> Sounds like a beat from tha gay ’07 dayz. Hook’s way too simple and tha rappin’s a lil’ cheesy here; I don’t wanna say anything ‘bout it. My Rating: 2.3


06. “Hit Da Dance Floor” Feat. D Brown
Gay title; iz it really dat gay beat from ’07? >>> It’s not, but nothin’ at all that I’d be interestin’ in. Cheesy lyrics… My Rating: 2.0


07. “Take A Look At Me” Feat. 3D & Real
>>> Even though gay ’07 dayz, better beat. I dunno why tha full beat iz here, though? Should’ve kept it at tha two-minute range. But, since it’s a betta beat, I’ll give it a chance. Tha 1st verse somewhat good… Tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ betta here wit tha “artwork.” What’s wit tha “got work” shit when y’all unknown? My Rating: 3.7

>>> Kinda sick of this beat appearin’ on so many peoples’ CDs… My Rating: 2.5


09. “Good Love (Family Song)”
>>> “Good” times here wit this beat, since it’s a good, ’08 time. I dunno how interested I’ll be in this, though… This iz really boring for me… My Rating: 2.2


10. “May 7th (Freestyle)” Feat. Real
Doesn’t work… SMH @ a name as just “Real”? My Rating: N/A


11. “Aww Mayn”
>>> A lil’ catchy… Tha whole song has “aww mayn” in it? Weird… My Rating: 2.6


12. “We Ride”
>>> I’m not sittin’ here fa 4:40; I have 120 more CDs to review before tha year ends! An okay start but nothin’ that’s gonna make me sit for 4:40. Could’ve done somethin’ wit tha flow here… Once again, stoppin’ early. My Rating: 2.7


13. “Rap Shit” Feat. K-Lo
>>> I think it would sound betta if you rapped off original beats, instead. A somewhat-catchy song; are you a real rapper? Just curious… I don’t get tha label name ‘cause most people with blood or gun-related terms turn out fake. My Rating: 3.1


14. “Got To Love It (Freestyle)” Feat. Tone Kapon
Doesn’t work either… My Rating: N/A


15. “Price Is Right With Da Champ”
>>> Why does this sound like Cam’ron?? I’m pose ta have a Louisiana perspective!! My Rating: 2.4


Overall: Wasn’t worth my time… There’s another CD of yours on DatPiff dat I finna review. I would stick to original beats and a Louisiana perspective!
