Reviewed on 12.23.2010 (Review #745)
Tha 6th review I got today iz Tha Kidd AJC “Trunk Muzik” from last year. Start Time: 7:59 PM | End Time: 9:14 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Intro”
I thought that said, “Q-Red On Tha Track,” but it’s your boy Red On Tha Track! >>> Ooh, sounds like a good beat, on a Louisiana level! Nice job wit tha “intro” hook. ROFL @ startin’ tha 1st verse, instantly, wit, “[droppin’ your] nuts on [‘em],” lol! Definitely interestin’ ta get an original production and a song made out of an “intro”. My Rating: 4.2
02. “Cups Up”
Ooh, you produced tha beat although tha feature iz cut off (“Feat & Produced…”)? It’s your CD already, lol. >>> This sounds good; feelin’ your production! You could make me mistake it as Cage on tha beat but it’s you! Definitely some jammin’ shit here. LOL, tha hook’s definitely nice wit tha representin’! Tha 2nd verse even sounds like what Cage would spit; very interestin’! Shout out ta you hittin’ me up on Facebook; you know what it iz! I guess there was no feature after all (thought it was Down Bad for a second, lol). Sounds like a jammin’ 3rd verse, ya dig? My Rating: 4.3
03. “Wut U Want”
Ooh, Mouse slidin’ in wit some production! Lookin’ forward ta hearin’!! >>> I like tha long length and it sounds like a nice, quiet, creepin’-up intro! I’m likin’ what you got here fa tha ladies and anything trill. Ooh, tha hook’s DEFINITELY NICE!! “I’m blowin’ green out tha pound ‘cause we got it like dat;” dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb shit!!! Sounds like you’re gettin’ some good exposure wit how you feel “V.I.P.” on tha 2nd verse; I’m glad I’m fuckin’ wit you, now, ya dig? LOL, in tha 3rd verse: “I drop my nuts in tha booth, lemme pick ‘em up.” LOL, you a big dawg, ya feel me? Definitely good shit once again. My Rating: 4.3
04. “Make U Love Me”
Legit doin’ tha beat here… >>> Kinda sappy for a start/tha hook but you sound pretty good on tha 1st verse. You keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse; good shit… And for tha 3rd verse, yes, you “do [yo] thang” to tha fullest! My Rating: 3.6
05. “My Thoughts”
Anotha Legit beat. >>> I think you should’ve switched up tha producer here wit tha track order. Oh, nice start to tha beginning verse wit “I take a puff of tha weed;” read me: “*inhale* *exhale*,” ya dig? I like how tha hook’s about bein’ “laidback” and “gettin’ high;” thumbs up! It sounds like weed makes this sappy beat have interest. Glad you know how ta grab my interest from fallin’ down. My Rating: 3.8
06. “Tonight”
Ahh, I dunno if I can handle three in a row. >>> This iz tha worst of tha three for me. You prolly could’ve made this tha outro song ‘cause that’s what it sounds like. Not too much of interest on what’s goin’ on and tha hook’s really sappy. My Rating: 2.7
07. “Fly As A Muthafucka”
Ooh, some new Q-Red production for me (I know it’s from 2009 but it’s somethin’ I neva heard)!! >>> Yea, I’m feelin’ real anticipated fa tha intro here!! Ooh, creativeness in tha hook wit tha “A.) … B.) … C.) … or D.);” good-ass shit!! DEFINITELY makes you “fly” and tight “as a muthafucka!” Good shit you got goin’ on in tha 1st verse; likin’ tha “high” part. You know you got dis shit on lock, bruh! You keepin’ tha 2nd verse goin’ strong, too! I like how tha tighter tha beat iz, tha more you “hit tha blunt;” dumb shit! I like how you comin’ through on tha 3rd verse, too; good reputation! My Rating: 4.5
08. “Dat Work”
Stevie Drumma beat; let’s get it! >>> Also, I like tha title, too. Ooh, tha hook’s definitely on a motivational tip! Wow, tha beat sounds like it’s gettin’ hotter on bars 3-4 and 7-8 on tha hook; DEFINITELY HOT shit right chea!!! You bein’ cleithrophobic on tha 1st verse, evadin’ all chances of gettin’ locked up! You got dis shit on lock, fa sho! Tha 2nd verse has lots of consistent rhymes and dat beat’s, just, REALLY helpin’ you out wit your quality development!! Good job holdin’ tha rest of this shit down to tha max! My Rating: 4.6
09. “Bitch U Broke”
Yay! Savage doin’ tha beat here; he prolly gon KICK MAJOR ASS!!! >>> Feelin’ tha start; you even have tha Savage “yeah” sound in your voice in tha beginning! Tha hook sounds nice and you really representin’ here wit doin’ buku shit wit ya money! Nice job wit tha 1st verse, stayin’ consistent to tha bone! Tha 2nd verse sounds GR8 wit tha shit you comin’ through wit; you’re unstoppable! Even on tha 3rd verse; strictly consistent! My Rating: 4.3
½time: Sounds like you got shit on lock here!! A nice 4.0 rating for your CD; keep it up!!
10. “M.O.E.”
Yay, anotha Stevie Drumma production! >>> Sounds pretty good, still. I like how you comin’ through wit tha hook, representin’. You definitely got tha 1st verse on lock; gutta shit to tha max! Tha 2nd verse iz definitely keepin’ thangz goin’!! Good shit, my dawg! That hook, once again, iz REAL street!!! My Rating: 4.3
11. “Da Da Da”
You produced dis? Prolly’ll go nuts! >>> Actually, a lil’ slow but I like how your tryna defeat “tha pain” by smokin’. Pretty good shit on tha 1st verse on how you handlin’ yourself. I dunno how special this iz for a song for me but at least you keepin’ tha interest alive about yourself. Tha hook sounds pretty good, stayin’ up. Tha 2nd verse brought boredism to me for some reason; I guess it was tha beat? My Rating: 3.3
12. “Gettin’ Money”
Uh oh, here comes yo ass wit anotha Stevie Drumma-produced song!! Damn, dawg, you a grinder!!! >>> SMH @ him jackin’ J.R. Rotem’s beat tag before tha hook. Anyway, sounds like your typical, good anthem, trap style, lol. Tha last verse iz pretty strong, on tha sex tip, lol! Even though I usually call people’s songs that “sound like everyone in tha mainstream” shitty, I think this blends nice in tha mainstream without bein’ shitty, ya heard me? My Rating: 4.2
13. “Halfs & Wholes” Feat. Murda Millz & Young Freeze (Da Jak Boyz)
Ooh, you got dis shit on here again; dumb shit!! Sounds REAL HOT!! It’s, like, a Down Bad collaboration wit tha beat; you goin’ NUTS on dis shit!! Good job keepin’ dis club REAL HOT wit how you sound along wit tha beat!! My Current Rating: 4.5
14. “Still Gettin’ Money”
Red On Tha Track doin’ tha beat here; let’s hear how he produces a whole track! >>> Damn, this joint’s long; over 5.5 minutes! Sounds pretty smooth and tha beat’s definitely nice! I like tha simple, slow hook; good trap shit once again!! Tha 1st verse sounds good, feelin’ good at all times! Now, tha 2nd verse has trap shit ta offer; definitely feelin’ it! Tha 3rd verse sounds pretty good; you didn’t bore me wit tha length and kept it goin’! My Rating: 4.1
15. “Burning Up”
Uh oh, here’s Legit on tha beat again… >>> Ugh, gross-soundin’ beat! It sounds like some underground, New York-type shit dat I wouldn’t be a fan of. Tha rhymes aren’t too special for me, also. This would’ve been catchy if I was, like, 15, when it was 2003, lol. Everybody in tha mainstream went beyond wack and I feel like Louisiana’s tha only place! I just heard David Banner’s “Christmas Song” on Music Choice: Rap today and I was like, “see, when that was out, it made me wanna like and anticipate tha land of Mississippi. Now, everyone sounds tha same: Pop, Rap, Dirty South Rap, Rock, etc.” My Rating: 2.4
16. “Stupid Swag”
Not tha kinda title/topic I’d like but Red On Tha Track’s on tha track again so there may be life. >>> I like tha beat and tha hook’s not too bad… Tha 1st verse iz decent/good wit some of tha content. I like tha ending of it wit “walkin’ in tha house” and dat good shit. Tha 2nd verse’s not too bad, either… Tha 3rd verse sounds much betta, “[takin’] a puff of tha weed;” good shit! I dunno why but dat beat’s makin’ me like dis more than I thought. My Rating: 4.2
17. “Feelin’ Like”
Yes, anotha Savage-produced song!!! >>> What’s tha “Wiseguys” shit in tha beginning? Anyway, DEFINITELY a hot song based off tha start here!! Kickin’ major ass wit dis hook, ya dig?!? You sound hella cool on tha 1st verse, doin’ ya thang to tha max! Tha 2nd verse DEFINITELY iz showin’ your coolness on anotha level: “rollin’” and “smokin’” like crazy!! You DEFINITELY winnin’ me over wit dis music, bruh! Tha 3rd verse iz pretty tight; tha end of it wit how you “feel like” everything iz DEFINITELY TIGHT!!! My Rating: 4.7
18. “Talkin’ ‘Bout” Feat. Murda Millz & Young Freeze (Da Jak Boyz)
Ooh, anotha tight song (it looks like)! Hope Millz’s outta jail by now, ya feel me? >>> Tha production (must be you—not listed) iz REAL nice here and you spittin’ dat undaground, 985 vs. 225-type shit!! Tha hook definitely has a good, gutta/street vibe ta it wit dis beat; good combo! Tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ pretty nice; good shit from your clique! Tha 3rd verse sounds good, too; it’s all about tha tight collab! Nice beat ending, too! My Rating: 4.3
19. “Dream”
Looks like tha curse of when I said, “should’ve been an outro song,” has come at me since Legit iz tha producer of tha final song on here. >>> Yea, I knew I’d be pretty disappointed. Not that bad, though; your motivational rhymes keep thangz alive, a lil’ bit. My Rating: 3.4
Overall: I dunno why tha average CD rating wasn’t as high as I thought it was. But, you did a NICE job wit dis shit!! Other than Legit, you had some REAL NICE production on here that was REAL, REAL consistent; gotta luv it!! Keep doin’ tha damn thang; this iz only tha ½ point wit tha reviewz!
